Thank You Cards

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Friends!

Yesterday turned out to be quite a washout. Lots of rain & crazy winds. I hope this isn't any indication of what our spring weather is going to be like.

Today I have a quick set of Thank You cards to share that I made up with some Deja View papers from my stash. I have no idea where I got the paper or even how long ago but it was time to use her up! My card lady is always ordering Thank You cards so I'm sure these will get put to good use the next time she asks.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic White, Deja View -Dog Days Collection Dog Stripes & Dog Flowers
Accessories: Nested Essentials Dies, Subtle EF (retired), Low Profile Dots (Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I used the Subtle EF on my cardbase front for a bit of interest. I choose this one because I wanted something subtle and nothing that clashed with the prints on my papers. It was just enough!
I said this year I was going to start pulling out all the inks, stamps & papers that have collected dust over the years and i'm thrilled to actually be doing just that! I'm hoping to get a big enough stash of cards made up that when Audrey calls and orders I can just pull them from the bin and add them in her basket. I have been making cards for her for 13 years and I pretty much know most of the time what she's going to ask for (I keep notes of what she's ordered). However, she does surprise me at times, too! She definitely keeps me on my toes! LOL

Storybook Friends

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Hope your week is going well so far!
Today we are in for some severe weather, heavy rain & thunderstorms along with more gusty winds! And then it's going to cool back down. Yesterday we hit 61 degrees which felt pretty nice after the harsh winter we've had this year.
I've got a cute card to share with you today that I made with the Storybook Friends Bundle from the 2025 Spring Mini Catalog. I really had no interest in this suite of products but ended up getting it to play around with. Today's card is for Easter...

Card Details:

Stamps: Storybook Friends
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Old Olive, Basic Beige, Timeless Plaid DSP & Storybook Moments DSP
Accessories: Storybook Friends Dies, Nested Essentials Dies, Plaster Painting 3D EF (Online Exclusives), Antique Pearls, Basic Beige Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I found that the Storybook Friends Dies are really fun and cut images out from the DSP. There are also 3 fun frames in the dies as well that diecut just beautifully! There will be many more cards coming from this suite....it's so cute!

Natural Botanicals

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday, Friends!

Today I have a quick birthday card to share that I made with a stamp set that is from the 2025 Spring Mini Catalog called Natural Botanicals. I loved this set since the moment I seen it in the catalog and I finally got around to inking it up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Natural Botanicals, Sending Smiles (retired sentiment)
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Basic White
Accessories: Beautiful Butterflies Dies, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Tailor Made Tags Dies (retired), Night of Navy Ribbon (retired), Linen Thread, Milky Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This set is called a Reversable which means you can ink either side of the photopolymer rubber. On this card I just used the more detailed side. So fun!

Happy Cupcake Day

 Hello & Happy Monday, Friends!

Hope you had a nice relaxing weekend!
I have a cute card to share today that I used a variety of different products on.
Take a look...

Card Details:

Stamps: Candle Cupcake-Stampendous, Lockhart Stamp Co. Sentiment
Ink: Memento Black, Wild Wasabi (retired), Stampin Blends- Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Copic YG63
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Basic White, Deja View- Alpha Blocks (Big Dots & Stripes)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Taylor Made Tags Dies (retired), Peach Pie Ribbon, Peach Pie In Color Shimmer Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Over the weekend I didn't do too much as I was so fatigued. Saturday, I went to my stamp table and played around a little bit. I pulled out my Thirty One bin that I house my non Stampin Up patterned papers in. I keep everything in a folder marked with the manufacturer name so I know. The first folder was Deja View. I only had a few sheets in there that I pulled out and made some cards with. The patterned paper on the cupcake card I still have a few pieces left that I may try to use up later this week. Then I moved over to my Iris carts and took out a drawer that has a variety of wood mounted stamps in. I pulled out the Stampendous Candle Cupcake and a Lockhart saying. These 2 brands were big back in the early 2000's. I'm not sure if either are still around today but I found it fun to pull those stamps out and ink them up again!

Do you ever find yourself trying to use up the older supplies that is in our stashes?
Sometimes it's such a surprise as to what we find! LOL
It was a good day, for sure!

Heart Shaped Thank You

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Friends!

Today it feels like winter is back! It's only to be in the 30's today with a gusty wind which makes it feel even worse. I will be lounging in my recliner with my heated blanket today catching up on some Hallmark movies that I have missed. I'm also really fatigued due to a new dose of my medicine that I started Friday evening. I feel fine other than the fatigue.

I have a pretty card to share that I made for a recent customer Thank You. I used the Heart Shaped SaleABRation bundle which is a beautiful set!

Card Details:

Stamps: Heart Shaped (SAB 25)
Ink: Fresh Freesia
Cardstock: Basic White, Fresh Freesia, Pool Party
Accessories: Heart Shaped Dies (SAB 25), Starstruck EF (SAB 25), Spotlight on Nature Dies, Fresh Freesia Seam Binding Ribbon (SAB 25),  Two Toned Sparkle Gems (Online Exclusives), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My customer said she loved the card that was sent along with her Thank You gift.

Ok, that is all for me today!
Fingers crossed tomorrow is a better day!

Cupcake Birthday

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

Welcome to a new month!
Hope all is well!
I took a break from posting to work on Audrey's card order and to prepare for a Stamp Day w/ Friends get together that I had this past Thursday morning. I have been doing so much stamping and making cards for on the card rack. I can't wait to share them here!
Today's card is one I made from everything retired! I just love pulling out the old stash and creating with it. This is a fun one with a very colorful palette to boot!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweets & Treats (retired 2021)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Basic White, Pool Party, How Sweet It Is DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Scattered Sequins EF (retired), Glittered Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

There was a coordinating stamp set that went with this Designer Series Paper but I never purchased it so I ended up fussy cutting the cupcake directly from the paper. Looks so pretty with those glittery enamel dots on it! I guess these days there is an edible glitter icing they use with decorating cakes, right?
Anyways, this was fun and I enjoyed just playing around! I have lots more to share with you so please continue to stop back.

Brighter Tomorrow

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

My, oh my, did those winds ever kick in yesterday right around supper time. We did manage to get a walk in around the neighborhood before it poured buckets. It got in the upper 40's which wasn't too bad. Today we will be lucky to get out of the low 30's. Burrr!

Today I have a pretty sympathy card to show you that I pretty much left the paper do all the work. I used the Fresh As A Daisy DSP and this pretty print from that pack. This pack is also retired. The Basic White layer is embossed with the very cool, Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder. I added some retired Wild Wheat ribbon & dots to use this stuff up...

Card Details:

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Wild Wheat, Basic White, Fresh As A Daisy DSP (retired)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Dashing Designs 3D EF, Wild Wheat Ribbon (retired), Linen Thread, Wild Wheat In Color Dots (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another card that went on my card rack For Sale.

Today I will be at my stamp table working on Audrey's order. Not sure when I will be able to get it delivered to her, maybe one evening next week. I am half way thru getting it done. She said she was in no hurry for it. Also have to see what Mother Nature is going to throw at us this week! LOL

Sympathy Card for Customer

 Good Sunday Morning, Friends!

Hope your having a nice weekend! It's a rainy morning here and we are under a high wind warning for some really gusty winds that are to start around noon and last into Monday. I am staying put inside today and getting Audrey's card order started. Yesterday we ran a few errands in the morning and then ran up to the restaurant for a quick supper. All this bad weather is keeping people at home. Kelsey said it's been very slow.

Today I am sharing a card I made at the request of Kelsey for a customer at the restaurant that recently passed away. His wife still comes in to eat quite often and Kels thought it would be a nice gesture to take up a collection for her and get a gift card to give her with the card. She asked for the sympathy card to have an old car on it because the old cars were this man's passion & hobby. This is what I made for her...

Card Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts Sentiment
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Basic White, He's The Man DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Cajun Craze Twine (retired), Rustic Metallic Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She had all the people that work there sign the card. I'm not sure how much was collected but I am so happy to see her doing for others. In that line of work she is always telling me different stories about the people that come in. She is such a friendly person & very talkative too! She must get that from her Dad! LOL

That's the advice I tell Kelsey all the time.

Hearts of Elegance Suite

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

Since today is Valentines Day I am sharing some projects that I made with the Hearts of Elegance suite. This suite is on the Online Exclusives list and oh my, is she a pretty one!
Of course, I am a sucker for a good Valentine's set even though I did not get to do too much with it this year I did manage a few things!
I did make a card for Shawn which I will share tomorrow since he does visit my blog occasionally and did not want to ruin the surprise. LOL

This is a card I played with last week and sent it out in the mail to Kelsey.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hearts of Elegance (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Basic White, Marbled Elegance DSP
Accessories: Hearts of Elegance Dies, Gold Shiny Sequins (retired), Gold Mesh Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I do not remember where the Gold Mesh Ribbon came from but it is Stampin Up!. A few years back they had a Silver Mesh Ribbon that was part of a Halloween suite. I love this mesh ribbon and so easy to work with it!

Now I have just a small sweet treat to share...

Project Details:

Stamps: Hearts of Elegance (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Basic White, Gold Foil
Accessories: Darice Cello Bags, Hearts of Elegance Dies, Dimensionals

I had just a small bag of the Caramel Ghiradelli Chocolates for Valentine's Day and made however many was in the bag (maybe 10). I have been handing these out to customers and today my family will each get one. I did not go crazy with the candy treats as I am usually always left with a ton of leftovers. These bags I picked up at L&L Stamps in Ephrata, PA years ago and they have been hanging out in my stash since. They were perfect for just this small size treat and the best part is they are sealable bags. Stampin Up! no longer carries any cello bags so it's time to use what's in my stash!

Do you have any special plans for Valentine's Day?
We usually do not do anything. In years past we've gone out to dinner maybe once or twice but usually Shawn cooks us a nice dinner. This year I suggested takeout from our favorite Thai place so he is going to pick it up on his way home from work. I don't need any flowers or chocolates....just a good dinner! LOL
However you spend your Valentine's Day, I hope it's nice!

Gender Reveal Party

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well!
Today I have a card to show you that I made yesterday for Shawn's boss's wife.
She needed a card for a gender reveal party for Friday. I did a few searches looking for some idea's but nothing was found unless I printed something off the computer. So, I pulled all my baby sets out and started looking for things to create my card. Take a look...

Card Details:

Stamps: Something for Baby (retired), Verve Stamps- Practically Perfect
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Pretty in Pink, Balmy Blue, Basic White
Accessories: Baby's First Framelits (retired), Countryside Corners Dies, Cloudy Day EF (retired), Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Pretty in Pink & Balmy Blue Shimmer Gems, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was quite impressed once it was finished and the boss's wife loved it, too!
I suppose this is the reason I hang on to all my old retired stamps because you never know when your gonna need them!

Beautifully Happy Belated Birthday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Another snow day is on tap here in the Northeast. I'm over the very cold temps & snow this season and anxiously awaiting spring's arrival in a few weeks!
Today I have a pretty springy card to share that I made with a retired SaleABRation set from 2023. This set has never seen ink. I was looking thru some old sets the other day and came across it so I decided to lay it on my table to use. This is for a Belated Birthday...

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautifully Happy (retired-SAB 23), Something Fancy
Ink: Memento Black, Bermuda Bay (retired), Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay (retired), Pool Party, Basic White, Dandy Designs DSP (retired SAB 23)
Accessories: Dashing Designs 3D EF, Countryside Corners Dies, Something Fancy Dies, Pool Party Ribbon (retired), Pool Party Shimmer Gems (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My pieces of DSP were just scraps that were left from another projects that I trimmed the rough edges off and placed on my Basic White embossed panel to give the card some interest. I love the finished project and have added this to my card rack For Sale.
