Variety Cards

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday turned out to get pretty hot & kinda sticky here!
Ended up putting Ryan's air conditioner in last evening because he did not sleep too good the night before. Hopefully that will help him!
We got the bikes out last evening, too!
I peddled my butt off for 7 miles and only took 1 water break!

Today I have a couple of cards to share that I made up one day last week.
I did a variety...

This design came from the Kitchen Table Stamper's Wonder Recipes and I have been using them for the last several weeks!
I love the look of the different sheets of DSP and the added elements.
This one uses a retired butterfly die called Bold Butterfly Framelits.

Card Details:

Stamps: Happy Thoughts
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: So Saffron, Basic White, Butterfly Bijou DSP
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Tasteful Labels Dies, Bermuda Bay & Calypso Coral Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My sheets of DSP measure 2x3 just incase your wondering!
Then just randomly place them on.
I love how these turned out!

Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits (retired), Champagne Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were simple & quick to put together and my card lady loved them!

Pretty Butterfly

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

Yesterday I spent all day picking at that 1000 piece puzzle!
I'm about half way thru it and is it ever hard!
I will share a picture of it when it's completed.

I woke up this morning to sunshine but now the clouds are rolling in.
It sure would be nice to have a week of nice sunshine and warm temps!

So today I am sharing card #4 that I made for my card lady that requested the cards for a little girl.

I went searching thru all kinds of papers and pulled out this piece of Basic Grey paper and went to work!

At one point I took all my sheets of Basic Grey and cut them down to 6 x 6 sheets and placed them into a zippy bag and labeled them.
This sheet is from the Basic Grey Urban Praire and I covered my Thick Whisper White cardbase with it.
I love the pretty colors and pulled out the Bermuda Bay color within the butterflies.
I diecut a butterfly from the retired Bold Butterfly Framelits.
I added some Rhinestones and adhered it to my cardbase and called it done.

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Basic Grey Urban Praire
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits (retired), Champagne Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think this one is my favorite!

Another Facebook Live Class

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was such a lovely day with lots of sunshine!
It added a spring to my step!
Today so far the sun is shining but I think it's to be short lived with storms this afternoon/evening.
For now, I will enjoy the sunshine coming thru the windows!

So, my project that I am sharing today is from another class I took on Facebook called "Stamp With Me" by Debbie Henderson. She has been racking her brain to come up with idea's to get people to stamp with her to pass the time away while everyone is under the stay at home orders.
The day before her class she posted what all was needed and measurements.
She did not share the project until most of it was completed.
This time we needed lots of punched out daisies which we knew was not for a card or scrapbook page but then she revealed to us that it was for a picture frame!!

I took 1 picture of mine once it was completed.

Luckily I had this frame in my closet and I had no idea what to do with it until she revealed hers.
I'm happy to have found a purpose for it now!
Isn't it pretty?

Project Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Seaside Spray, Gold Foil Paper, Whisper White
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits (retired), Butterfly Thinlits (retired), Wild Rose Dies, Oval Layering Framelits, Daisy Punches (Large & Medium), Gold Satin Ribbon, Gold Faceted Gems, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She is doing so much good in keeping us calm, sane and most of all helping us use what we all have in our stash! This is the 2nd class of hers that I did out of 7 and I am finding it to be so much fun and also keeps me motivated to craft!

Thank you, Debbie for bringing sunshine into our lives every single day!

Aren't those daffodils beautiful?!

It's been dreary here so far this week!
Sure could use a few days of sunshine to keep me motivated!
Today I have some house work to do then i'm off to my stamp table.
My friend dropped off a bag of old Stampin Up stamp sets that she got from a friend.
I need to go through them to see if I have them or not.

Strawberry Slush Butterfly

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope you've all been enjoying the spring weather we've been having!
Here in PA it got to 83 degrees on Easter Sunday. I was almost ready to throw in the towel and ask for the AC to get put in the window but I managed. Yesterday it cooled down nicely and I decided to go down to my stamp room and do some rearranging and throwing old stuff away. I have a gallon size ziplock bag that is filled with buttons that are in my stash. I don't use them on cards much anymore because of the extra cost in mailing them. I may try to find a new home for them.

Anyways, today I am going to spend the afternoon in my stamp room again. I need to find a better way to store all my 12 x 12 DSP packs. I have tons since I started stamping in 2001. I have 12 x 12 paper holders that I picked up at AC Moore many years ago but they hold all my non SU dsp's and 12 x 12 cardstocks. I really have way toooo much paper!
How do you store your 12 x 12 designer series papers?

So, today I have a quick card to share that I made last week for my customer.
She wanted something springy and for a young lady who was celebrating a birthday.

Since I was on a roll with using my Bold Butterfly Framelits I had to use them again for this card.
Of course all these colors are now retired In Colors but since I still have tons of it in my stash I will continue to use it.

Happy Birthday Card:

Stamps: Crazy About You
Ink: Strawberry Slush
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, All Abloom DSP
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framlits, Butterfly Embossing Folder, Lg Oval & Scallop Circle Punches, Strawberry Slush Thick Twine, White Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I even used the Butterfly Embossing Folder on the white panel even though it's hard to see on the photo's. I really need to use this one more often. So pretty!

Sketch Challenge 640

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday I made my way to my stamp table and decided to play along with the Sketch Challenge over at SCS.

Here is the layout and my card...

I made this card for a dear friend who's birthday was last week and I had no energy to create a card for her at the time. I hope she doesn't mind that it's a bit late.
I wasn't really keen on this particular sheet of dsp but went with it anyway. I am trying hard to use up what I have in my stash.

SC640~ Happy Birthday!

Stamps: Birthday Greetings (2001)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Moonlight DSP
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits, Flower Punch, Ornate Tag Topper Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, White Pearls, Glue Dots, 2 Sided Tape

I do like the springy colors and that beautiful butterfly, just not sure on that dsp print.
Guess it doesn't matter now, it's already in the mail to it's destination!
Happy Belated Birthday, Pam!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is here!
Yippee Skippee!

Today I have a quick card to share that I made at the request of one of my customers.
She surely keeps me busy at my stamp table!
She likes having "Thinking of You" cards on hand so she can use them if something comes up unexpectedly.
This is one that I made for her using the small butterfly from the Butterfly Basics set.

That wee little butterfly is very pretty and I have to admit that it's the first time I used it!

Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Handwritten Hello's (retired 2001)
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Regal Rose
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Whisper White, Regal Rose 5 x 5 DSP Patterns Pack 2 (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Bold Butterfly Framelits, White 1/8 Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I made my card monochromatic which seems to be my "go to" thing quite a bit!
How often do you make monochromatic cards?

My thoughts today....

I know, I should not be using a snowman but since they are calling for snow flurries or a dusting of snow today I thought he was appropriate. He sure is a cutie!

Stay warm, everyone and have yourself a wonderful Friday!

Hello & Happy Friday!!

Yesterday I sat and played a bit with some stamp sets as I needed some rubber therapy.
This is what I whipped up....

Butterfly Card Set:

Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories: 2 1/2 in Circle Punch, Bold Butterfly Die, White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Glue

I love the color combo and that background is so pretty!

Colorful Butterfly Notecards

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Recently my customer asked for a pack of cards that had no saying on but wanted something colorful. We've been under this bubble of gloom & gray skies lately with all the rain so she wanted bright & colorful. This is what I came up with...

I found this paper in a pack called Garden Gingham that is retired but worked perfectly for what I needed. Sometimes those packs of old paper are a good thing to still have around!
My customer loves the butterfly dies so i'm pretty sure she loved this pack of cards! She uses them for different occasions when she is out of a specific type of card.

Colorful Butterfly Notecards:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Garden Gingham DSP
Accessories: Bold Butterfly Framelits, Circle Punch, White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Glue

These cards will definitely brighten someones day!

That's all for today!

Diaper Fold Pouches

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a terrific weekend!

I spent Friday & Sunday in my craft room playing with stamps & papers without any interruptions. I also watched many You Tube video's learning how to make different things. Some I saved for a later date but what i'm sharing today is a project that I revisited after making these many years ago!
Diaper Fold Pouches

I watched a video that Kay Kalthoff made sharing the directions for making the Diaper Fold Pouches. I was inspired to make a bunch for my group of stamp ladies for next week. Here is the link to her blog post: Stamping to Share

They are really quick & easy to whip up and so adorable!!

Diaper Fold Pouches:

Stamps: Birthday Blooms
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pacific Point
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Pacific Point, Very Vanilla, Pretty Petals DSP 6 X 6 Pad
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Kaiser Vanilla Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

Inside each Diaper Fold Pouch I added a Ghiradelli Caramel Square...YUM!
I think the girls will like them!

Mother's Day Cards

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Yesterday I finally found some time to break away and go down to my stamp room to play a bit. With Shawn being home it's been busy. He's been doing pretty good with his foot and walking on it. His incisions look very good but I know the one bothers him when he walks on it. Tuesday he goes for a check up.

So I made these cards up for the next upcoming holiday, Mother's Day. I decided to use up some retired paper since I seem to have so much of it.

My sentiment comes from a retired All Year Cheer set from years ago. I like the font on this. I punched my circle out and added my VERY loved butterfly. On the butterfly I added 3 pearls. Two very quick & easy cards that I will add to my card rack for anyone who needs a Mother's Day card.

Mother's Day Cards:

Stamps: All Year Cheer (not sure which one)
Ink: Rose Red
Cardstock: Rose Red, Painted Blooms DSP (retired)
Accessories: Bold Butterflies Framelits, White Pearls, Circle Punch, Tombow Liquid

That's all I have for today!
It's going to be a nice day here so I decided to strip my beds, wash everything up and hang it outside to dry! Nothing beats crawling into bed with fresh smelling sheets!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
~Wendy
