Tis the Season Treat Holders

Hello & Happy New Year's Eve!

How are you going to be bringing in the New Year tonight?
We have not done anything on New Year's Eve in quite a few years.
Most likely we will be in bed way before midnight and sleep right thru it unless someone in our neighborhood is setting off fireworks.

Today is the start of taking down the Christmas decorations for another year.
I so love all the lights & decorations at this time of year!
I have one last treat holder to share with you using the Christmas Season & Christmas to Remember stamp sets. These were my absolute favorites this holiday season and I think I read somewhere that Stampin Up! is carrying them over for next year! YAY!

I made these up back before Thanksgiving and handed them out to some of my friends, the lady at the deli counter at our local grocery store, the pizza delivery guy and the mail carrier. Just a perfect little treat!
These little pouches are made using the Diaper Fold.
Very simple and needs no adhesive!

Project Details:

Stamps: Christmas Season, Christmas to Remember
Ink: Real Red, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Basic White, Painted Christmas DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Dies, Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These are so fun to make and like I said, easy to whip up in a matter of minutes! They are not a good seller for me so that is why I decided to make these up and hand out to people. I used the Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark Squares in them.

Incase your a regular blog follower, I know some of you love seeing my Year in Review updates each year. I am going to start that later today so be sure to stop back later this evening to check it out. I will do January thru June today then tomorrow I will do July thru December, sharing with you all my favorite cards & projects for each month!

For now, it's time to start packing away my Christmas decorations & ceramic Christmas trees! Hope you'll come back later to see my favorite picks!

My thoughts today...

Truer words have never been spoken!
Thankfully, we don't put much outside anymore, just lighted garland around the front porch and 3 lighted wreaths. The inside is another story with all my ceramic Christmas trees! I love them but boy, what a pain to put away!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Hope to see you back here later today for my Year in Review!

December Birthday's

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

My husband goes back to work today, just for one day this week!
He's had a nice stretch of time off over the Christmas holiday and then another short break for New Year's before going back next Monday.
Today I may try to go to my stamp table to work on my 2022 calendars that I started weeks ago and never got them finished. Tomorrow we are going to start the process of packing up all the ceramic Christmas trees and decorations. I love having them all out and lit up in the evenings....so pretty but it's time to get things back to normal. I do keep a few of my ceramic trees out all year long but the majority will get bubble wrapped and placed in totes until the next holiday season.
Have you taken down your holiday decorations yet?

So, today I am sharing my card lady's December birthday cards that I made her on her last card order. She usually asks for something seasonal. It doesn't get much more seasonal than pinecones and poinsettia's!

I started with a cardbase of Thick Very Vanilla cardstock then a layer of Poinsettia Place DSP that is retired. Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and ran it thru the Big Shot with the  Basic Borders Dies. They are such nice dies and what a variety, too! I used the half moon shaped one that also gives the stitching along the diecut edge. Next I used the Poinsettia Dies to cut those pretty flowers from the Poinsettia Place DSP.  I then diecut some Gold Foil sprigs using the Poinsettia Dies and layered them under my flowers with some Gold Cord. I attached them to my card with 2 Dimensionals. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from the Sharing Sunshine stamp set with Soft Suede ink and added a couple Gold Glittered Enamel Dots that are retired as well.
I tried keeping them simple and letting the paper do all the work!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sharing Sunshine
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Paper, Poinsettia Place DSP (retired)
Accessories: Poinsettia Dies, Basic Borders Dies, Gold Cord, Gold Glittered Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Seasonal Thinking of You Cards

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am all confused on the days since Shawn is on vacation!
I have been working on a puzzle that Kelsey brought over to do on Christmas Eve.
She gave up and walked away from it but I kept at it in between laundry and feeding my family!
Last evening I finally finished it up! It was a tough one!

I'm glad that's done!

Today I have a set of Thinking of You cards that I made for my card lady earlier this month. As bad as my hands were hurting, I kept these very simple!

Card Details:

Stamps: Thanks. Thinking & Peace
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Beauty of the Earth DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, White Glittered Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I felt like I slacked on making these for her but she was still pleased with them.
I have been giving my hands lots of rest but I sure do miss my stamping!
I have 2022 calendars & Valentine's sitting on my table waiting ever so graciously on me. I'll get to them soon!

Holiday Thank You Cards

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice Christmas holiday!
My Christmas was very nice but I am exhausted!
Happy to say that Santa did bring me a new camera! And it's purple!!!
I hope Santa brought you some nice goodies as well!

I have not been to my stamp table in over a week and hope one day this week to get back to it. I have all my 2022 calendars cut out but no where near finished. Once they are done I will share pictures using my new camera!

I have a set of Christmas Thank You cards to share that were made for my card lady on her last order. (She already called and gave me her next order!!)

We all need Thank You cards to send to people that either hosted Christmas or for a special gift you received. I kept these simple by allowing the paper to do all the work. And she loved them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Poinsettia Petals
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Painted Christmas DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Labels Dies, Real Red Sheer Ribbon, Red Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So now that Christmas is over.....when do you take down your decorations/tree and put it away? As much as I love the pretty lights and decorations, I am ready to start putting things away and get things back to normal.

I really do!

This one uses the Christmas Season & the Christmas to Remember stamp sets.
I so love these 2 sets!
This one went to our neighbors with a gift card in it for a local restaurant that they like to go to!

Sparkle of the Season

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a set of holiday cards to share with you using the Sparkle of the Season bundle from the Stampin Up! July - December Mini Catalog.
It's a beautiful set that has a variety of sayings in it and different wreaths.
The wreaths are what caught my eye!

I have been stamping and making cards for 20 years and this has got to be one of the nicest sets around! The wreaths come in a stamp and there is are also diecuts to make wreaths as well. My card lady purchased this set and has already called and asked for more cards using the wreaths!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sparkle of the Season
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler, Basic White, Tidings of Christmas DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Swirls Dies, Wintry 3D EF, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, Gold Rhinestones (Michael's), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Between the DSP and the wreaths with holly & stars on, they make for some pretty cards for Christmas! I just wish I would have used it more this season.
