Oven Mitts

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Did you all enjoy that extra hour of sleep?

The sun is shining brightly here this morning but don't let that fool you!
It's quite cold out with a breeze!
I do believe that winter is trying to make it's mark around here.

Yesterday I had a Stamp Day w Friends.
We had a great time and made a bunch of cards!
Deb treated us to some yummy snacks!
I will share those cards with you this week.

Today I want to share a cute project that I seen on Kitchen Table Stampers page.
That lady always makes the neatest things for craft shows and one day I caught a video of her making Halloween Tags that she put on goodies for her craft show.
This tag was put on a large cello bag that inside was a Halloween oven mitt and a package of Betty Crocker cookies. I was so thrilled with it that I wanted to make my own!

I found the Fall Leaves oven mitts at the Dollar Tree.
I had to wash them before I put anything inside because they had a really odd smell.
I am guessing from the ink printed on the material.
I left them hang to dry for a week before I finished with the rest of my gift.
I then found wood spoons that the handle on them was the same color as my oven mitt!
WooHoo! That just made me smile!
Next I picked up some Betty Crocker cookie pouches and placed the spoon and cookie pouch inside my oven mitts. I have a slew of the 9 x 17 cello bags that Stampin Up had out a few years ago for wine bottles. I placed my oven mitt inside the cello bag and threw in some Fall colored Hershey Kisses.
Next I had to find a color that matched my oven mitt so I could create a tag for my bags.
Poppy Parade to the rescue! It was a perfect match!!!

First I cut a tag from the largest Stitched Nested Dies in Whisper White.
My tags were created using a retired bundle.
Vintage Leaves and Leaflet Framelits that were available a few years ago.
I loved using this set again!
My leaves were stamped in Poppy Parade, More Mustard, Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie then diecut out and attached to my tag.
The sentiment comes from the Painted Harvest set which is my favorite set!
I diecut them with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Oval Layering Framelits then added a few Metallic Gold Pearls.
I lastly closed my cello bags up with some Poppy Parade Textured Ribbon and added my tags with some Whisper White Twine.

I was so pleased with them and gave them to my stamp girls yesterday at our stamp day!
They loved them!
I also made one for Kelsey!

Vintage Leaves

Hello & Happy Thursday!

My hubby is officially on vacation now until after Thanksgiving!
Work has been really stressful so this is a much welcomed time off for him.
Each day we are going to be doing some fun little trips to some antique stores and getting some Christmas shopping started.
Today, however, we will be staying home as we are getting some bad weather.
Rain, ice & snow are in the forecast. Schools have already closed.
Not sure what I will do today....maybe pull out all my Christmas decorations and start that or maybe just alittle stamping. It may even be a PJ day!

I have another card to share with you from my Stamp Day with Friends.
This card uses the retired Vintage Leaves set and a sentiment from Painted Harvest.

This one was alittle bit tricky with lining up the leaves so they all fit on the card but the ladies did very well with it!
The Linen Thread was wrapped around 3 times and taped to the back of the Blackberry Bliss layer. Then with a smaller piece of Linen Thread we tied a bow around our 3 layers of Linen Thread we wrapped abound the card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Vintage Leaves (retired), Painted Harvest (sentiment)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Banner Punch (retired), Linen Thread, Gold Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The ladies did beautifully with this card!
Another favorite with those colorful leaves!

My thoughts today...

It's crazy to think that this year is almost over.
Halfway thru November and less than 6 weeks away until Christmas!
*sigh*

That is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Vintage Leaves

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

It's quite the frosty one here in PA!
Our temps dipped down into the teens overnight and today we are not to get out of the 30's!
Thankfully the week coming up will bring warmer temps! This cold weather threw my back into a tizzy yesterday.....something I haven't felt in a while!

Anyways, today I am sharing another card made for my stamp day last Saturday!
I really like this card and I thought possibly I cased some of it but I cannot find it to give the person credit. I will continue to look and will come back to give credit where credit is due!

ETA: I found the card that was created by Sharon Davies! It was posted on a FB page Sept 14, 2017.
Sharon's card had a copper foil leaf with copper embossing on it and she used the Merry Little Labels Bundle for her tag! Here is her card:

So pretty and caught my eye!
Thank you, Sharon!

And this is my case....

I have had the Vintage Leaves stamp set for quite awhile and it never seen ink until I made this card. I am going to try to use it again before Thanksgiving gets here because it does have some pretty leaf images in it! I also have the Leaflets Framelits to diecut them. This is such a great card full of texture from the 3D Cable Knit Embossing Folder to the Burlap Ribbon! I also love the pops of gold!

Vintage Leaf Card:

Stamps: Painted Harvest (sentiment), Vintage Leaves
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: 3D Cable Knit EF, Leaflets Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Burlap Ribbon, Gold Metallic Enamel Dot, Gold Ribbon (from stash), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved this one and so did my friends!
Hope you do too!
