Merry Monday Challenge #165

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday!
Sue is our hostess this week and she has a terrific challenge for us so let's get to it!

I used a DRS Designs stamp for this and colored my image with Copic Markers. My cardbase is Very Vanilla with a layer of Old Olive and a piece of patterned paper that i'm unsure of the maker. It just says St Nick 12 X 12 Holly Berry Stripe. I've had it in my stash for quite awhile. Then on top of that is my Candle with Holly. I really like this image but it's pretty big. My card is 5 X 5.

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other team mates created! Those ladies have made beautiful cards to inspire you! Hope you will play along with us this week!

Stamps: DRS Designs

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, unknown patterned paper

Candy Dispenser

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have something different to share with you.
My friend shared the template to make the popular Candy Dispensers that were floating around on Splitcoaststampers a year or so ago. Now she has created a monster as these things are so fun & easy to make! Thanks Vicki!

I'm only going to share one today since my hubby just got in from work to take me to my Pain Management appointment this afternoon. I will share the rest eventually!

I believe that there is a template over on SCS to use to make these under Tea Bag Dispenser/Candy Dispenser.

I decorated mine with some Trim the Tree DSP from last year and used the Spellbinder's Poinsettia dies to make my poinsettia. I added a large Gold Bead to the center and attached it with a dimensional. The sentiment on top is from a Hero Arts set and the twine is Cherry Cobbler. I will fill these with holiday M&M's when it gets closer to the holidays and sell at my craft shows!

Any question please feel free to shoot me an email, ok?

Well, I need to go get my clothes changed and head to Lancaster.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Sketch Challenge 546

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

What a beautiful day here in PA today!
We had some severe storms blow thru last evening and the winds & rains were were bad. But today we woke up to low humidity and just beautiful sunshine! I loved having the windows open! However I think this wonderful weather will be short lived as tomorrow the humidity comes back.

Earlier today I tore myself away and headed to my stamp table to make a card for my niece Megan. Her birthday was last Friday so i'm a bit late. I used today's Sketch Challenge 546 for her card.

The UPS lady brought my order today from the stamp party on Saturday! I was so happy to use new goodies!

I really love these bright & sunshiny colors in this Cherry on Top DSP! I also got the Build A Birthday stamp set along with the matching Washi Tape! The Washi Tape thing is growing on me!
Hope you like my card!

Sketch Challenge 546 Card:

Stamps: Build A Birthday
Ink: Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, Cherry On Top DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all I have for today!

Color Challenge 536

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I know I said I was not making anymore Patriotic cards but when I checked out today's Color Challenge 536, well, that went out the window! hehe!

Here are today's colors for Color Challenge 536:

Real Red, Marina Mist & Night of Navy
w/ the dessert option of using Sequins, Enamel Dots or SU Candy Dots

Unfortunately, I have no Sequins, Enamel Dots or SU Candy Dots so I subbed Rhinestones in their place. My tags were made with the Chalk Talk Framelits and ran thru the Big Shot with the Darice Stars Embossing Folder. I love that these tags wrap around a candy treat bag! My Marina Mist layer was ran thru with the Stripes Embossing Folder. The stamp came out back in 2001 when the World Trade Towers 911 incident happened. Stampin Up created this stamp as a fundraiser and it has become a much loved stamp over the years. I colored it with my Real Red & Night of Navy SU Markers. Hope you like!

Color Challenge 536 Card:

Stamps: God Bless America
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy SU Markers
Cardstock: Neenah White, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Merry Mini's Punch Pack (Star Punch), Chalk Talk Framelits, Darice Stars Embossing Folder, Stripes Embossing Folder, Marina Mist Chevron Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all today!
Calling for more bad storms to go thru today. I can tell, Gigi is following me everywhere I go. We've noticed over the last few months that she gets a bit werid when storms are coming. Mama is always here to keep her safe! :)
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Happy Father's Day

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's also Father's Day so I hope all the Father's have a wonderful day!

We were invited to go to my younger brother's today to celebrate Father's Day with my Dad but we decided to pass and just stay put at home. It's been so hot & humid. Blah! Besides, Kelsey was coming today to visit and Shawn wanted to make some things on his smoker for supper.

The other day I mentioned that Ryan asked for a Father's Day card for Shawn. This is the card I made him.

I pulled out another old stamp set & DSP for this. I love these older sets!
Over the years I have built up a variety of many different occasions & holiday stamps so that I am not using the same stamp year after year but this inside saying from Great Impressions, I use every year for Father's Day! It might be an oldie but it's a goodie!

Father's Day Card:

Stamps: Uncharted Territory, Guy Greetings, inside sentiment from Great Impressions
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Nautical Expedition DSP
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Hexagon Punch (used to make banner ends), Early Espresso Twine, Silver Beads, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all I have for today!
Off to spend the day with my hubby & kiddo's!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Happy Father's Day!

Patriotic Tissue Packs

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Up and at it bright & early this morning!

Today one of my stamp girls, Sista Karen, is having a Stampin Up party so I thought i'd get up and get a few things accomplished before heading out.  Looks like rain is on our doorstep...we really need it! The clouds are already here and it looks as if we've already had some showers come thru during the night.

So, I want to share with you these Patriotic Tissue Packs. My Mom found the soft pack of tissues at the Christmas Tree Shop not too long ago so of course I had to make a box for them & decorate.

The tissues had 10 packs in a package for $1.00 and they were all decorated differently with Red, White & Blue. I think they were pretty just the way they were! I used paper from a retired Patterns Paper Pad from a few years back and the sentiment is from the retired Star Spangled Day set. I really like these!

Patriotic Tissue Packs:

Stamps: Star Spangled Day
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Patterns Paper Pad
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Punches, Stitched Grosgrain Ribbons, Glue Dots, Star Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, guess i'd better get my last sip of coffee in me and head to the shower!
A Stampin Up party awaits! So excited to see my group of stamp ladies and can't wait to see what projects we make! Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Firecracker Poop

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I did not do much today! We woke up to rain this morning so I just crawled right back in bed waking up at almost noon time. Guess I needed the sleep. Kelsey was also here today visiting since she had the day off from work. So here I sit at 4 pm still in my pj's and hair thrown into a pony tail. Hubby will be in for a shock when he walks thru the door shortly! LOL

So today I am going to share another July 4th treat that I found on Pinterest a few weeks ago. I think they are quite cute!

These are called Firecracker Poops!

I've seen the Firecracker Poops done with M&M's in a small Cello Bag with the poem printed out and put on as a tag topper. I decided since I only have 1 bag of the Red, White & Blue M&M's that i'd make the M&M Sticks instead. I think people love the M&M sticks too! I made the Firecracker Poop into a tag for the colorful M&M's Sticks and added a star done with the Star Framelits done in the Red Glimmer Paper! Cute, cute, cute!

Firecracker Poop M&M Sticks:

Stamps: None
Ink: Printer Generated
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Neenah White, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Stars Framlits, Rhinestones, Pacific Point Stitched Ribbon, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Since today was a lounging day at the Aungst Pad, Bailee got a new doggie bed that Ryan had bought. It arrived in the mail today in a big box! Bailee sleeps in his room most nights after Shawn & I go to bed so he got a bed to keep in there for her. Here are 2 pictures of Bailee checking out her new bed once we got it out of the box! LOL She is something else! Always entertaining herself!

Well, that's all I have today!
Thunderstorms are on the horizon so i'm going to get off of here now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Sketch Challenge 545

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday, Ryan reminded me that he needed a Father's Day card for Shawn and of course I had not even thought about one for my Dad. So today I used the SCS Sketch Challenge to make atleast one of the cards!

Here is the sketch....

I'm so glad that this stamp set, Guy Greetings was carried over into the new SU catty! I was able to get it and it just arrived yesterday....just in time for me to use it for this Father's Day card.
I paired this stamp set up with DSP that was also in the Occasions Mini called Adventure Bound DSP Paper Pad. That pack has some great masculine papers in it! Since my DSP was a bit dark to stamp a sentiment on it, I created a banner flag for mine and popped it up with Dimensionals. Other than that I followed the sketch perfectly!
I think this card will go to my Dad and tomorrow I will make one for Ryan.

Hope you like!

Sketch Challenge 545 Card:

Stamps: Guy Greetings, Sentiment on front from Make An Impression
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Neenah White, Early Espresso, Adventure Bound DSP Paper Pack
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Gold Brads, Stamp A Ma Jig, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Color Challenge 535

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Time for another Color Challenge from the ladies over at the SCS Color Challenge!

Here are the colors this week!

Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight & Bermuda Bay
with the dessert option of using a punched or a diecut element on your card

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with these colors. They reminded me of bright beachy things, like a beach chair, a beach blanket or a beach ball. Then as I was looking thru a drawer of stamps I found this lonely little guy and decided to give him a shot of some pretty bright colors!
What do you think??

I'm quite happy with him or her and I went with this funky tilted panel to go along with these bright funky colors!

Color Challenge 535 Card:

Stamps: Party Koala from Whipper Snapper, Sentiment from Sketched Birthday
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Neenah White
Accessories: Seeing Spots EF (Cuttlebug), Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, that's all for me today!

Merry Monday Challenge #163

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
We did but they sure go by awfully quick!

Today we have a new challenge for you to help get those Christmas cards created before the stress of the holidays get here! Lori is our hostess and she has a wonderful challenge for you from over at Merry Monday!

Let's get to it!

My card was very simple & easy, which is how I like my cards anymore!
I used the Bright & Beautiful stamp set from last year's Holiday Mini Catalog. I was finally able to get it a few months ago after seeing SO many wonderful cards with it. I'm sure I will be using it alot this year! I also snagged the Stars Framelits to cut them out! Anyways, I stamped everything in Real Red ink, cut out my pretty star and added some sparkly red rhinestones that have been on my stash for awhile now. I made a package of 5 of these for my holiday craft show coming in November! Loved this challenge, Lori!! :)

So what do you think?
I can't wait to see all the Red & White cards this week in the gallery! Hope you'll play along!
If you need some inspiration, stop over at the Merry Monday blog to see what the ladies created this week! So many different idea's!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a marvelous Monday!

More Butterfly Basics Cards....

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Just a quick post today then heading down to stamp a bit this afternoon.
They are calling for bad storms here in south central PA today and tomorrow. I'm hoping we don't lose power. Last evening we did not have any storms but they were in parts of the area and we lost power for about 15 minutes. Not fun when it's hot & humid outside and you lose your air conditioning! Air conditioning is one thing I do not take for granted!!

Anyways, today I just wanted to share a card order that I whipped up my a customer, Audrey. She loves the Butterfly Basics stamp set and asked for the butterfly in blues.

This set was quick & easy to crank out because there were no layers. I did use my Stamp A Ma Jig to get my sentiment on straight.  I stamped my little butterfly in Marina Mist which is one of my favorite blue colors. Then I used the Butterflies Thinlits Dies to cut it out. Used Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue to attach my butterfly, added 3 white pearls to the butterfly and finished up with  my piece of whisper white cardstock to the inside and called this set done. Audrey was very pleased with them! :)

Blue Butterflies Card Set:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Sweet Essentials (retired)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Accessories: Butterflies Thinlit Dies, Stamp A Ma Jig, White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

That's all for me today, friends!
Off to get crafty this afternoon as long as the power stays on!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Patriotic Hershey Bar Wrappers

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all enjoying your weekend so far!

Kelsey came today after she was done working her shift and we made a quick run to Walmart for hubby to grab a bag of Miracle Grow Potting Soil. He built a box this morning for out in the yard to grow some of his veggies in and really did not want to dig up the yard to put in a garden. I love his idea and it looks really nice too!

So once we finished that up I headed down to my stamp table. I really should have gone to grab a shower instead since it's still gross outside! I finished up the last Hershey Bar Wrapper and got my photo's taken. I only made 6 of these for the upcoming July 4th Holiday. If I get orders for more I will gladly make them up! :)

Let me know what you think!!

I love making these Hershey Bar Wrappers! I make them for all occasions! I'm sure my Mom will go nuts when she sees these!

I used some old Patterns DSP that SU brought out maybe back in 2007/2008 somewhere in that time frame. They were in 6 X 6 paper pads with maybe 5 different colors in them. I found the Real Red & Night of Navy in 2 different packs. My sentiment comes from the recently retired set, Memorable Moments and my stars are cut once again with the Stars Framelits!

Patriotic Hershey Bar Wrappers:

Stamps: Memorable Moments
Ink: Real Red & Night of Nacy
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Patterns DSP
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Star Framelits, Stamp A Ma Jig, Real Red & Night of Navy Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, that's all for me today!
Stay tuned for more Red, White & Blue!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Patriotic Fry Box Treats

Hello & Happy Friday!

So glad the weekend is here even though it felt like it was 100 degrees outside today! Phew, it was a steam bath! Since it was so hot, I headed downstairs to get inky! Things are in progress right now but i'm going to share my Fry Box treats today! I'm so happy with them!

I used the Stampin Up Fry Box Die to make these cuties! I filled some cello bags with Hershey Kisses, tied it shut with some Stitched Grosgrain ribbon that's now retired. I really love this ribbon because it's so easy to work with for tying bows! I decorated the front of the box with a stamp set called Oh My Goodies! I used the Deco Thinlits to cut them out and the Scallop Oval & Lg Oval Punches to change out the sentiment to a different color. I cut my stars with the Stars Framelits with Silver Glimmer Paper and my Real Red & Night of Navy cardstocks. The little clothespins I found a few weeks ago at Walmart.

These make a very cute gift for the upcoming July 4th holiday. I'm sure any kid would love to have that bag of Hershey Kisses while watching the fireworks! Fun times!

Patriotic Fry Boxes:

Stamps: Oh My Goodies!
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Fry Box Die, Star Framelits, Deco Framelits, Scallop Oval & Lg Oval Punches, Clothespin from Walmart, Rhinestones, Ribbon, Cello Bags, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Hope you like these yummy treats!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Sketch Challenge 544

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your having a great day!

Today I played along with the SCS Sketch Challenge and whipped out another card for the July 4th holiday! Let's get to it....

I've been on a roll with using the Star Framelits that I purchased recently from Stampin Up! They cut super nice thru cardstock and glimmer papers! Even Michael's heavy glitter papers!  This will probably be my last July 4th card this year since I have a bunch already made that I will soon start to share! The treats i've been working on are coming along nicely and i'm excited to share them with you!

My card today was pretty quick & easy to make. This sketch reminded me of last week's Sketch Challenge! I really like these kind of sketches and i'm especially loving those glittery stars!

Sketch Challenge 544 Card:

Stamps: Fabulous Four (sentiment)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Red Glimmer Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper & Michael's Heavy Blue Glitter Paper
Accessories: Star Framelits, Darice Star Embossing Folder, Sweet N Sassy Scallop Border Die, Stamp A Ma Jig, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

That's all for today!
