More Halloween Goodies!!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all enjoying your holiday weekend so far!

I woke early today, taking Miss Gigi to the doggie day spa! She surely needed it! Then I spent most of the day down at my stamp table. I didn't feel to good in the stomach after taking my vitamin with breakfast. I use to take them everyday and I got away from it so now i'm trying to get back on them and the stomach is fighting me on it. I stamped all day working on some Halloween things. Still bummed that I have not found any Halloween candy yet but i'm sure eventually the stores will have it.

So here we go...

The first couple of pictures are of the old style of Crystal Light containers I had in my stash. I just took some retired Halloween Papers and covered them. Decorated them with stamps from the Halloween Bash stamp set. The last 2 pictures are of another type of plastic container I had stashed. Pulled out some retired paper and used my Spooky Bingo Bits retired stamp set and added some rhinestones & ribbon. All I need is the candy and all these projects are done.

Well, that is all for me tonight!
I think I hear my bed calling!

Thanks for stopping by!

Combined Challenges, Again!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone had a nice day!

I stamped today until my eyes started to get wonky on me. I think it's due to lack of sleep last night. For some reason I was still wide awake at midnight and then wide awake again at 5:30 this morning. Been awake since!! Once I got done what I needed to do today I headed down to work on yesterday's Sketch Challenge from over at SCS. Then I saw the Ways To Use It Challenge for today and knew I had to play along! It took me until this evening to get my pictures uploaded to Picasa. I've been having some computer issues and my very patient hubby has been trying to solve the problem (of course spyware!!). So, while we are sitting here watching the last pre-season Baltimore Ravens game...i'm going to get my blog & card uploaded and head to bed.

So here we go!

The Ways To Use It Challenge #442 is to make a card with an angel on! That's right up my alley!

I pulled out oldie but goodies to make this card but i'm very happy with it! I'm the type of person though that has to constantly keep adding to my card....like some type of embellishment. I really wanted to add some rhinestones or pearls but I wanted to keep this beauty flat for easy mailing!

SC451 & WT442 Card:

Stamps: Angelic Joy
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Deck the Halls DSP
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Gold Trimmed Ribbon, Glue Dot, 2 Sided Tape

It doesn't get any easier than that!

Well, that is all for me tonight!
Thanks for stopping by!
I'll see you tomorrow!!

Color Challenge 441

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!
It seems as though the dog days of summer are upon us so I made my way downstairs where it is much cooler and also to get inky this afternoon. I took a peek at today's Color Challenge from over at SCS and thought i'd take a stab at it.

Here are today's colors....

Night of Navy, Cajun Craze & Soft Sky

The dessert option is to make a masculine card and I love to make masculine cards to which I thought this challenge would be easy but I struggled with these colors.

I can always use masculine cards on my card rack so i'm usually in my glory when it comes to making this type of card. Loved the Night of Navy & Cajun Craze but that Soft Sky threw me off a bit. I do like how my card came out so I guess that's all that matters, right?

Color Challenge 441 Card:

Stamps: Fish from DRS Stamps, Too Terrific Tags
Ink: Night of Navy, Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Cajun Craze 12 X 12 Stack (retired)
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Linen Thread, Tag Punches, Corner Rounder, Gold Brad, 2 Sided Tape

This card has nothing popped up for easy mailing! :)

Well, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #72

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. She gave us a really easy layout this week so I hope you can play along with us!

Here we go....

I drew inspiration from my paper, Season of Style, from Stampin Up. I then pulled out Santa from the Color Me Christmas set. So cute, don't ya think?? My sentiment on the front is from Oh, Goodie! The inside sentiment is from Christmas Messages. All new stamps & paper!  I threw in some clear rhinestones for a bit a sparkle after I used some glitter on my Santa. My ribbon is retired. I made a flat bow for easier mailing. Feel free to stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Markers created this week. Also we are saying goodbye to 2 of our Merry Makers this week, Narelle & Sherry! I've so enjoyed working with these 2 ladies and will miss them on the team.

Merry Monday Week #72 Card:

Stamps: Color Me Christmas, Oh Goodie!, Christmas Messages
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Word Window Punch, Cherry Cobbler Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Glue Pen, Glitter, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all from me today!
Time to get my housework done then maybe later I can stamp a bit more.....if I can move. The back has been bothering me a bit again. :(
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Halloween Bash Candy Bars

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I wanted to stamp the weekend away but that didn't happen. Instead just hung out with the hubby and took in the beautiful weather we've had since Friday. Sure wish we could bottle weather like this!

Anyways, on Friday I started playing around with some Halloween goodies after I picked up some paper at Micheal's. I also had some new Halloween goodies from Stampin Up!

I thought the bat paper was awesome so I picked up a few sheets. I used the new Halloween Bash set that had that bat on the one stamp. I'm thrilled with getting more Halloween goodies cranked out! These candy bar wrappers hold a normal sized Hershey Bar.

Halloween Candy Bar Wrappers:

Stamps: Halloween Bash, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Memento Black, Only Orange
Cardstock: Only Orange, Basic Black, Whisper White, DSP from Recollections
Accessories: Ribbon, Decorative Label, Word Window, & Scallop Oval Punches, Glue Dots, Black Rhinestone, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I had alot of other things I wanted to share with you but I accidentally deleted my Pictures folder on Friday. I thought it was a duplicate folder and deleted almost 7,000 pictures from 2005 on.....
I'm sick about it but not much I can do now.

Well, that is all I have for now!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll stop by tomorrow for another great sketch for Merry Monday!

Can't believe it's Thursday already! The days, weeks & months just seem to fly by anymore!

So, today I had a chance to pop down to my stamp room to create a bit. I've been wanting to do the SCS Color Challenge & Sketch Challenges but ended up doing other things around the house. I've been working on some Halloween things so I used this week's Sketch Challenge 450 to make a card.

I pulled out some old designer papers from Stampin Up called Halloween Night. I'm still working on trying to use up all my old stuff. I have about 2 whole sheets left and some scraps so you'll being seeing more of this before Halloween gets here for I have a few things in mind to use it for! :)
I also used stamped off images from an old Stampin Up set called Just Flying By. It's one of my favorites for Halloween!

Sketch Challenge 450 Card:

Stamps: Just Flying By
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Vintage Violet, Neenah White, Halloween Night DSP
Accessories: Vintage Violet Grosgrain, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I also decorated a candy container I had on hand.

Halloween Candy Containers:

Stamps: Gift Givers, Mixed Medley (Hostess 2012)
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Neenah White, Cast A Spell DSP
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Decorative Label Punch, 3/4 Circle Punch, Black Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I will fill with Halloween candy when the stores start carrying it. So far I have not been able to find any, yet!

Well, that is all for me today!
Time to go get my Goulash made for supper then working on some Halloween Candy Bar Wrappers while watching the Ravens preseason game tonight! WooHoo! So glad football season is upon us again! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #71

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
It was another busy one here!
Saturday, we ran to the local orchard for tomatoes to make our yearly batches of salsa and Sunday we spent all day making it! I shouldn't say "we" as it was mostly Shawn doing the work. I just popped into the kitchen here & there to clean up after him a few times but for the most part I stayed downstairs and stamped the time away!

So, here we are at Monday again and that means it's time for another sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. The sketch she gave us for Merry Monday is an easy one! I hope you can find some time to play along this week and to also stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Maker's have created....lots of inspiration!

I used my new pack of holiday paper from Stampin Up called Winter's Frost. This comes from the 12 X 12 pack. I was inspired with the colors & snowflakes that are in the paper.
I used a Spellbinder's Create A Snowflake set 1 for most of the snowflakes. I had to overlap some to make them fit in the sketch but I do like the look of it. I added some different sized rhinestones for a bit of sparkle. I also pulled my colors from the paper, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay & Pool Party. Sounds like something from the tropics! :)

Merry Monday Week #71 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from SU
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Winter's Frost DSP
Accessories: Spellbinders Create A Snowflake 1, Bermuda Bay Taffeta, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you can join us this week!

Well, that is all for me today!
Another busy day ahead!
Today is my Dad's 78th birthday and I am cooking a big supper for my parents & all the kids tonight. I'm tired just thinking about it but I am happy to do it! There isn't nothing I wouldn't do for my Dad!! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!

Combined Challenges

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Is a beautiful day here in south central PA. We had storms yesterday that brought a cold front thru last night and it's one of those kind that makes it feel like autumn is here. I almost hate to say it but there is a chill in the air. I had shut all the windows & and put jeans on today. Crazy I know but I do love this type of weather!!

So, anyways, once I got Shawn & Kelsey out the door to work this morning I did a few things around the house and took Gigi for a walk around the back yard. All she seems interested in is chasing the bunny family that lives under our shed when she needs to be doing her business! After that I made my way downstairs to do some creating. I went to bed  last night with the SCS Color Challenge on my mind so today I combined it with the SCS Sketch Challenge. I also have to say that I was very inspired by a card that Bonnie Klass aka Bon2stamp made yesterday. Thanks Bonnie!

Here we go....
Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive

I love the Spring Garden set from years ago and seen Bonnie's card yesterday she posted on SCS and it got my wheel's spinning. It also was perfect for today's Sketch Challenge.
I made this a sympathy card since my card rack seems low on them. Love the springy colors of this!
I also used the Color Challenge's dessert option of using flowers! :)

CC439 & SC449 Card:

Stamps: Spring Garden, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight & Melon Mambo SU Markers, Memento Black
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Neenah White, Bright 12 X 12 Stack DSP
Accessories: Snow Dots EF, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Stamp A Ma Jig, Melon Mambo Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

And before I close I wanted to let my blog readers know that Ryan got a good news at the cancer appt on Monday. Blood work showed his levels are all within range and have been that way since January. In 3 months he will have to have his usual 6 month CT Scan done & blood levels checked again but it all seems to be going in the right direction! Thank you, Jesus!

Well, that is all for today!
Going to work on some Halloween things then head to the kitchen to make a pan of lasanga for supper! I'm so hungry for it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

I really enjoyed making this card probably because I love this new SU paper called Winter's Frost! I used an old stamp from Penny Black called Snow Couple. I had it for a long time and just adore the image! My inside sentiment is from the new SU set called Christmas Messages.

Sketch Challenge 448

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I was so excited when I took a peek at the Sketch Challenge today from over at SCS but I wanted to wait till Mr Brown made his way to my Red Lion address so I could use some new goodies that I ordered. After lunch he finally arrived and I was so giddy with excited....I grabbed that box & headed downstairs!
First of all I had to open and touchy-feel everything before I could wrap my mind around what I was going to make for my card. I ordered the new set called Regarding Dahlia's and it was perfect for some Thank You cards that I needed.

So, here we go....

Sorry my pictures weren't real good. We haven't had a lick of sunshine in 2 days around here. With this cloudy, rainy, dreary weather all anyone wants to do is lounge around & sleep but I said, NOT TODAY for the Brown man is coming!

I also ordered some of the Coastal Cabana Ruffled Ribbon and is it ever beautious! I have a feeling i'll be ordering more of that! My DSP is from Afternoon Picnic and I am happy with my cards!

All I need to do now is write my little Thank You inside and get in the mail. LOL That might take me a day or 2 since i've become such a slacker!

Well, my hubby just got in from his hard day of work and I need to go get supper on the table!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Color Challenge 438

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It was a dreary, rainy morning here in south central PA. so I headed downstairs to play along with today's Color Challenge from over at SCS. The colors are:

Crushed Curry, Midnight Muse & Primrose Petals

Here is my sample:

I was never a fan of Crushed Curry when it was an In Color way back when so I decided to tackle this challenge and use my Crushed Curry since it is now one of colors in the Regals group. I went with my un-inked set called Topsy Turvy and a new one called Remembering Your Birthday, which I love the sayings in this set! I have always admired all the cards made with Topsy Turvy and now that I have used it on this card....I really love it! Hope you do too!

The dessert option today was to use a bow whether it be a bow tie, bow & arrow or a regular bow. I went with a bow image on the top of my cake and also a ribbon bow.

Well, that's all for today!
Yesterday something came over Ryan & I that we both felt sick in our stomach, so we ended up rescheduling his doctor appointment for next Monday. I was in bed for the rest of the day and today feel much better but have a pounding headache. Uggh, I so dislike not being 100%!
Let's hope tomorrow is a better day!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Merry Monday Week 69

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Can you believe we are in the month of August already??!! Time is really flying by! Before you know it, it will be Christmastime!

I took a break the month of July. The Merry Monday gang had the month off unless they participated in the "Anything Goes" Challenge that Lesley set up. I decided to take the month off for some downtime and to work on Halloween & Christmas goodies. Craft show season will soon be upon me so I spent a great deal of time crafting. I'm pleased with my progress!

Now it's time to get back to normal and get the mojo flowing for our Merry Monday Challenge again! Lesley gave us a really great sketch this week so here we go!

I used up my last bit of designer paper that I had from Hobby Lobby. Sad that I used it but i've been working hard on using up my million pieces of scraps! The sparkly circles under the snowflakes are a glitter paper from Micheal's. The metal "Merry Christmas" plaque is from Making Memories from a few years back. Another flat card for easy mailing come Christmastime!

Hope you can stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Maker's have created this week and also to play along! Would love to see what you create!!

Well, that is all for me today!
Ryan has a doctor appointment this afternoon with the cancer doctor so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
