Spooky Cat Halloween

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Friends!

Today's post is a bit later than usual. We wanted to get outside and get the leaves raked up in the backyard before football started today. We got that chore done and then headed out for a walk since the weather was beautiful. I have a cute Halloween card for you! This one uses an old retired set called Spooky Cat from 2017.

Card Details:

Stamps: Spooky Cat
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Mango Melody (retired), Basic Black, Basic White, Plaid Tidings DSP (retired-2020)
Accessories: Cat Punch (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Halloween Night Twine (retired), Cute Stars Adhesive Backed Sequins (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

As we are getting ready to watch football I am addressing my Halloween cards so they can get mailed out tomorrow. Halloween is this Friday and I'm way behind!!

2025 Halloween M&M Sticks

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

We had a beautiful day here yesterday and today is also looking to be just as nice!
I spent most of yesterday in my stamp room finishing up the Halloween treats. I just need to make a price list yet. The last treats I made was the famous M&M Sticks. Stampin Up! use to carry the 1 x 8 Cello bags but retired them a few years back so now I get them off of Ebay. I have a customer who loves getting these and handing them out, so I do make sure to have them for almost every holiday! This years Halloween M&M's were not the pretty bright colors they have been the last several years (purple, green & orange) but are orange & black. At first I was not gonna get them but I figured Jane would be sad if I did not have them. I grabbed 2 bags and started filling my cello bags. I got 24 sticks from those 2 bags and I decorated them with lots of retired product! Take a look...

Just look at all those happy little ghosts! Super sweet & not at all scary!

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Cat (retired 2017)
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Greetings of the Season Dies (retired 2024), Frightful Tags Dies (retired 2021), Tricks & Treats Dies (2023), Halloween Twine (retired), Dimensionals

It's a good thing I enjoy making these because I fill tons of these cello bags every year! And besides....we doesn't love M&M's?!

Stay tuned for more Halloween treats in the coming days, ok?

Dinosaurs & Halloween

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your having a great weekend!
Yesterday our weather almost felt like late Fall.
It was definitely a "hang on to your hat" kind of day!

Today I have another Halloween card to share to Audrey requested for a little boy. She asked for something with dinosaurs. I stewed on this one a few days then pulled out a bunch of stuff trying to come up with something. I knew I had to think outside of the box!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days (retired), Spooky Cat (retired), Ghoulish Goodies (retired)
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Pumpkin Pie DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies (retired), Dino Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Halloween Night Twine (retired), Rhinestone, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Some of the pieces on this card came from leftover candy treats from a few years ago.
I keep a baggie filled with leftover parts & pieces that I can pull out and use again. All I needed to do was add my dinosaur, sentiment and create a cardbase and my card was born!
Audrey was pleased with it! I think she said this was going to a 3 year old neighbor boy so I needed to keep it on the cutesy side.

The last 2 days I worked on a Halloween puzzle that I picked up last weekend at Home Goods. I did a Halloween puzzle last year, too! This took me about 12 hours total to put together and it was a 1000 piece puzzle.

I enjoy working on them when I don't have other things to do!
This one was quite fun! I am anxious to soon start some Christmas puzzles that I have waiting on me. After I am done with them I tear them apart, put into a ziplock bag and send them over to my friend Deb. She loves doing puzzles, too!

Spooky Cat

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

We've had a beautiful string of nice days the last few days!
My kind of weather where I don't have to run the AC or the heat!
We are under a burn ban as well as conserving water atleast for the next 10 days. Rain is expected this weekend and a few days next week so hopefully that will help.

Today I have another set of Halloween cards! This is set # 16!
You may recognize the items on this card as it is a more recent stamp set than some of my previous card sets. Spooky Cat was out in 2017 and it's a set that I did not use much.

Card Details:

Stamps: Spooky Cat (retired-2017)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Spooky Night DSP (retired-2017)
Accessories: Cat Punch (retired), Square Layering Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits (retired-2017), Halloween Night Twine (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The cat is punched from the Spooky Night DSP using the retired Cat Punch and the happy jack o' lantern is diecut from the same paper using the retired Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.
I was able to use up quite a bit of the DSP on these cards but I still have a few sheets left.

Mummy Kit Kat Holders

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A rainy day is on tap for our 1st day of Fall!
The last few days have been so nice!
Temps in the 70's, blue skies & no humidity, definitely my kind of weather!
The best part is not having to run my AC!!!

So, today I have another Halloween Treat to share with you!

I took Basic Gray cardstock measuring 2 1/4 x 5 1/2.
Scoring on the long side at 3 1/2 & 4.
This just creates a little pouch to put the candy in.
Next I cut a piece of retired Halloween Night DSP to create a belly band to wrap around the pouch to keep the candy from falling out of the sides.
This piece measures 1 1/4 x 6.
I wrapped it around my holder with the candy in so I could secure the belly band tightly in the back.
Then I took another piece of the same DSP measuring 2 x 3 1/4 to put on the inside of where the candy is.
Then decorate!

Halloween Project:

Stamps: Cookie Cutter Halloween (retired), Spooky Cat (retired sentiment)
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Basic Gray
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Basic White, Halloween Night DSP (retired)
Accessories: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Classic Label Punch, Hand Held Hole Punch (for the ribbon/bow), White & Black Glittered Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made 12 of these, 6 with the White Glittered Ribbon & 6 with the Black Glittered Ribbon. It's always fun to pull out the old stuff and put it to good use!

I'll apologize for these not so great pictures.
I am still using my phone.
Haven't gotten out yet to look for a new camera but I hope to soon!
If you try these and have any questions please shoot me an email, ok?
