To A Wild Rose

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today I have a card to share that I made for my card lady last week.
She needed a birthday card for a friend so I pulled out my To A Wild Rose stamp set w coordinating Wild Rose Dies and got to work.

It was fun to play with this stamp set again as it's been awhile!

I started with a Highland Heather cardbase and a layer of Purple Posy cardstock.
Then a layer of Whisper White that I stamped my saying on with Highland Heather ink and then ran thru the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
Next I stamped my flowers on a piece of Purple Posy cardstock using Highland Heather ink. I did the same with the leaves with Old Olive ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock them diecut everything out.
I adhered everything on the card with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue except for the top flower that I popped up with a dimensional.
Lastly, I added a few rhinestones that brought a bit of sparkle to my card.

Card Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose, Delightful Day (retired)
Ink: Highland Heather, Old Olive
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Purple Posy, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Accessories: Wild Rose Dies, Subtle EF, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady loved it! YAY!

Nov Gift Bags

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Burrrrr!
It is a really cold morning here as we dropped down to 20 degrees overnight!
The girls & I are up early this morning!
I had to put their doggie coats on this morning to send them out. Kelsey recently bought them some really cute ones! I will try to snap a picture of them later today and share with you.
They look so cute in them!
You know it's cold out when they go out and potty and come right back in!

Today I have a busy day!
Yesterday I worked on Christmas treats! So far I am very pleased with them!
I started Snowman Soups yesterday and hope to finish them up this afternoon.
I promised Ryan I would make a decent supper today and I want to work on getting those neck pumpkins cooked. Since Shawn left we've just been eating soup & sandwiches for meals.
No sense in cooking big when it's just us 2.

So, today I am sharing my November Gift Bags that I decorate for my Stamp Day w Friends event.
I make these each month so the girls have something to take their cards home in and then they can use these for their own personal use. I enjoy making them and it helps to get things out of my stash!

This bags uses last year's Painted Autumn DSP which was probably my most favorite paper ever!
It also uses a retired color, Tangerine Tango, and as you can see I still have lots of cardstock & embellishments in my stash.

Project Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose
Ink: Tangerine Tango (retired)
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango (retired), Very Vanilla, Painted Autumn DSP (retired)
Accessories: Wild Rose Dies, Tangerine Tango Enamel Dots (retired), Tangerine Tango Ribbon (retired), Hot Glue, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I chose this sentiment from the To A Wild Rose set because I am very blessed to have some really wonderful friends! Perfect for this month's theme!

To A Wild Rose

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

The weekend is finally here after a very long, stressful week!
Hubby's work has been crazy beyond words....

I have been really busy at my stamp table working to finish up a card order plus working ahead on some card idea's for Stamp Day w Friends. Not much else to do when it's hazy, hot & humid outside.

Today I am sharing a set of cards made for that card order.
These were a bit tough for me as my customer has been asking for cards with no saying on.
I noticed she is getting away from asking for cards with occasions on and just wanting blank cards with just the front decorated. Man, I struggle with these!!!

After running on fumes this week i'm not sure how I feel about this set!
I do like the colors!

Card Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose
Ink: Seaside Spray, Soft Seafoam, Soft Seafoam Stampin Write Marker
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Seaside Spray, Whisper White, Seaside Spray DSP
Accessories: Wild Rose Dies, Seaside Spray Linen Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Do you find no sentiment cards tough to make?

I have a long list of things to do today....but maybe a nap would help!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #511

Hello & Happy Saturday!

It's an early one for us as the girls are off to dog grooming this morning!
While they are there we will run a few errands quick then spend the rest of the day at home.
Shawn is burnt out from a rough week at work.

Yesterday I had a chance to make a card for the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.
They have some awesome sketches and I enjoy playing along when I can.

Here is their sketch and my samples....

First thing I thought to use when I seen the sketch was my Hello Doily background stamp from 2010.
I love this one!
Then I reached for some inks to create my card.
I was going to grab Crumb Cake but I seem to use that color quite a bit so instead I got Sahara Sand.
Then I chose Flirty Flamingo for my flower and Old Olive for the leaves.
I thought it was a pretty combination!

Card Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose, Hello Doily (retired)
Ink: Sahara Sand, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Accessories: Wild Rose Dies, Old Olive Linen Thread, Flirty Flamingo Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card will be headed out in the mail on Monday.
Destination....unknown! hehe

Check out the Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along!
Hope you like my card!

To A Wild Rose

Hello & Happy Monday!

The start of a new month!
And the start of a new week....hope it's a good one for you!

Today I have a quick card to share made using a new set called To A Wild Rose.
It was a must have and was first on my list of things to order.

I mixed it with one of the New In Colors, Rococo Rose!
Very pretty color!
Reminds me of Rose Romance from years ago!
There is so much to love about this stamp set like the fonts on the sentiments and that gorgeous flower! Have you noticed the ribbon, too?
That is the New Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
Different from anything we ever had before!
I personally love it!

Card Details:

Stamps: To A Wild Rose
Ink: Rococo Rose
Cardstock: Rococo Rose, Whisper White, Rococo Rose DSP
Accessories: Subtle EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Rococo Rose Faceted Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was just a quick & easy card that I whipped up one day while getting the feel of the stamp set.
It turned out pretty nice so I thought i'd share it.
Hope you like it!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well so far!

I have been on a much needed roll with playing with my stamps, ink & paper this past week!

I decided to play with my To A Wild Rose bundle to create a pretty card!

Such a wonderful stamp set with some beautiful sentiments included!
This set was designed by Mary Ellen Byler for her Million Dollar Sales Achievement!
Congrats to her!
As soon as I seen this set I wanted it for those 2 step flowers!
The Wild Rose Dies are a lovely compliment to this set and in my opinion it's a gotta have bundle!
