Badges & Banners Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!!

The July 4th holiday weekend is finally here!
The best part is...my hubby has the next 4 days off and i'm looking forward to it!

Today I have a set of cards to share with you that was a customer request.

I ordered the Badges & Banners Bundle a few weeks ago for a birthday card made for a policeman. Surprisingly I have used this set more with the birdcage image than any other image from the set! I really expected it to be the least used but I was wrong! This is a wonderful bundle for the money and what's great about it is that it can be used for many types of cards!

Birdcage HB Card Set:

Stamps: Badges & Banners, Thoughtful Banners
Ink: Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder
Cardstock: Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Thick Whisper White, Succulent Garden DSP
Accessories: Duet Banner Punch, Badge Punch,  Rhinestones, Watermelon Wonder Doily, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So fun & easy to create!
I loved this card set especially the colors and my customer was thrilled with it!
I aim to please!

Covered Notepad

Hello & Happy Thursday!

My project today is a Covered Notepad.
I haven't made one of these in quite awhile so I felt it was time.

The paper is from Whole Lot of Lovely DSP from the new Stampin Up! catalog.
This sheet has some pretty flowers on it so I did not want to cover too much of it up.

Covered Notepad:

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases
Ink: Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach (inside)
Cardstock: Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, Whisper White, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP
Accessories: Flourish Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, White Pearl, Glue Dot, Mini Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My RSVP Pen also has a 3/4 X 3 1/4 piece of dsp in the barrel of it.
These Covered Notepads with matching pen make a nice gift!

Amen to that!

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Last day of our beautiful weather so I decided to make 1 card and spend the rest of the day out in the yard with the girls.

I wanted to make a card today using the Daisy Delight stamp set. It's a nice set but I wish it had more of a variety of sayings in it. I used the Flourishing Phrases stamp set for my sentiment.

Incase you couldn't tell, I really like using this style of card that Patty Bennett created last year. Besides the tilted panels this style has also become a favorite!

I used the pretty watercolored looking print that is in the Delightful Daisy DSP that has a touch of Daffodil Delight in and Calypso Coral. I thought is was a great sheet of paper to create a sympathy card. I also stamped the daisy image on my envelope 2 times. With the photopolymer stamps it is easy to do with perfect placement.

I also finally opened my roll of Calypso Coral Umbre Ribbon!!
It is divine and ties a bow so nicely!

With Sympathy Card:

Stamps: Daisy Delight, Flourishing Phrases
Ink: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP
Accessories: Daisy Punch, Gold Faceted Gem, Calypso Coral Umbre Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you like!

That is all for me today!

Coffee Cafe

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another absolutely gorgeous day here! I hated to go to the basement to stamp today but I went anyways! Our weather has been a 10+ the last several days and tomorrow will be the last of it before the heat & humidity makes another appearance.

My card today is one I have had rattling around in my head since I ordered the Coffee Cafe Bundle that is in the new Stampin Up! catalog. It is a wonderful set that coordinates with Framelits and some beautiful DSP!

This particular cup is so much like the Perfect Blend coffee cup that Stampin Up! had out a few years ago and the nice thing about this set is that there is a matching framelit to cut it out! Oh, and there is a pack of paper that has such pretty colors/prints in it! I love everything about this bundle!!

Coffee Cafe Card:

Stamps: Coffee Cafe
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Sky
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Thick Whisper White, Coffee Break DSP
Accessories: Coffee Cup Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Corrugated Elements, Pear Pizzazz Shimmery Ribbon, Gold Nailhead Stickers, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Thinking Of You....

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
The weather here in PA was simply delightful!
I wish it could stay this way all year long!

Yesterday I delivered a card order then took a ride on the Rail Trail on the bikes and ended the day with alittle R&R at home. The girls loved being out in the yard all evening. It actually played them out and they slept all night thru!

Today it's back to the normal routine of Shawn going back to work,
Laundry & lasanga is on my list of "To Do's" then the plan is also to grab the bikes when he gets in from work and get another ride in while our weather is still nice.
Trying to take advantage of it while it's nice because the muggy's will be back later this week, unfortunately!

I have a quick card to share that I made for a card order.
I'm not sure what the reason for this card was but I was pretty happy with the outcome!

This card uses alot of old stuff from my stash and that's ok since I am loving the colors and that adorable kitty stamp! My customer loved it!

Kitty Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Meow Meow, Sincere Saluations (both sets are retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chcolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, DCWV (old pad)
Accessories: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies, Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Turquoise Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue,,,

I also wanted to let you know that my customer loved the Loyal & True card from yesterday!
She was so thrilled with it and said she could not wait to see her grandson to give it to him!
She is such a sweet lady!

Loyal & True Congrats Card

Hello & Happy Sunday!

The weather turned beautiful here yesterday!
The sun came out and it was breezy and most of all...the dreaded humidity left! I don't know where it went but it can stay there! LOL

Today will be a busy day so i'm going to make this short.
I made this card for my customer whose grandson is in the army and his family will be heading south next month to see him graduate.
Anyways, as soon as I seen this set called Loyal & True in the new SU catalog...I thought it would be great to make cards for her. She sends cards to him all the time as she is very close with her grandchildren.

Here is the card...

I am so happy with how this card turned out because when I started I just did not know which direction to go in! I hope she likes it!

Loyal & True Card:

Stamps: Loyal & True, Designer Tee (Congrats) SAB 17
Ink: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Patterned Paper by Stemma
Accessories: Badge Punch, Gold Flat Head Stickers, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is well.

Took a few days off this past week and then yesterday I found my way back to my craft table.
I love playing along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge and here is my take on this week's layout.

I really wanted to use this birdcage image in the Badges & Banners stamp set so I pulled out this retired pack of Blooms & Bliss DSP to go with it.
This is another pack of cards for my customer who asked for a pack with no sayings on it.
Hope she likes these!

Tuesday Morning Sketches:

Stamps: Badges & Banners
Ink: Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Mint Macaron, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Blooms & Bliss DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Badge Punch, Rhinestones, Mint Macaron Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Glad I was able to use the Tuesday Morning Sketches to help design my cards!
If you haven't played along with their weekly sketches.....you really must check them out! They always have such great sketches!

My thoughts today....

Anyone have any fun plans this weekend?

We have had buckets of rain since last evening all in part thanks to Topical Storm Cindy.
Hopefully the sun will make an appearance today so we can get out bikes out!
If not I have a card order to work on and a trip to the store for the usual, bread, milk & coffee!
Whatever you have planned today, I hope you make it a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wood Words Hello Friend

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope all the Dad's out there had a wonderful Father's Day yesterday!
My hubby did some yard work in the morning then took it easy the rest of the day.
The weather was sweltering to say the least! 90's plus very high humidity made for outside activities to be very uncomfortable.

Today I have another project to share with you that I made with the Wood Words stamp set.
Love all the images & sentiments in it!

I paired up the Wood Words with the Wood Textures DSP for a rustic feel to my card.
I am going to try to get this in the mail this week to a friend that I have not seen in awhile. Thankfully, I was able to pick up a book of postage stamps over the weekend. I was completely out!

Hello Friend Card:

Stamps: Wood Words
Ink: Real Red, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories: Woodgrain EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Real Red Stitched Grosgrain, Vanilla Pearls, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

*******************************************************
My thoughts today...

Yep, all of the above!

I am off to get some housework done before we get some bad storms that are to come thru this afternoon. I always get a little nervous when they predict them after living in the midwest and the tornado that went thru Joplin Missouri in 2011.
One thing I have learned is to never take Mother Nature for granted!!
Be safe everyone!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

High Tide Z Fold

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Today will be a low keyed day around the Aungst Pad.
This morning our weather is once again dreary with clouds and high humidity.
Hubby is planning on mowing today as long as it does not rain and then it will just be a day to relax and hibernate in the AC.

I made a card the other day just playing around with the High Tide stamp set.
I have had it for months and finally inked it up.

I did not take any pictures of it opened up to show the Z Fold but i'm sure you get the idea.
I will have to play a bit more with this set to get the hang of all the wonderful stamps in it.
This card reminds me of days in Ocean City, Maryland and surrounding beach locations.
Definitely near & dear to my heart!

Dear Father Card:

Stamps: High Tide, Whimsical Words
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Adventure Bound DSP
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Cotton Island Indigo Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is a nice stamp set, one that I hope to get more use out of this summer!

Masculine Happy Birthday

Hello & Happy Saturday!

A dreary Saturday here so far. No sunshine but no rain either. I sure wish we'd get one or the other!
Today there is alot of activity in the neighborhood as Red Lion is having their Yard Sale Days. Since we have lived here we have not participated but i'm thinking maybe next year because we have stuff building up in our storage room that we don't use anymore. It'd be a great way to get rid of some of that stuff plus I have tons of stamp stuff I could probably sell off too!

Anyways, today I have a card to share that I made with a new SU set called Wood Words.
When I first saw this set I was not really impressed with it but as always with me it takes me seeing lots of cool idea's before I get  taken in by it! I tried to keep this card more on the masculine side and it did not hurt that the July 4th holiday is approaching quickly so I put the 2 together.

The recipient of this card is a blogging friends husband who I have been watching their Facebook Live  video's the last few months and always enjoy seeing the 2 showing us lots of cool card idea's. Yes, he stamps each week in the video's! Such a lovely couple they are and I enjoy tuning in each week to watch! The husband is celebrating his birthday...actually today! Yes, I am way late on mailing it out but better late than never! Hope he likes it! Happy Birthday, Tim!

Happy Birthday, Tim Card:

Stamps: Wood Words, Guy Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy, Real Red
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Red Rhinestones, Night of Navy Baker's Twine, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Since getting the Wood Words Bundle (yes it comes with matching dies!) I have come to really like this set and see many cards & projects in my future!!

My thoughts today....

You know because every crafter needs lots of supplies at all times whether we need them or not!
I know I am not the only one.....am I???

Well, that is all for me today!
Shawn & I are getting ready to head down to Maryland to a park that has waterfalls for a quick walk/hike. I always enjoy being out in the peace & quiet of nature as long as a snake does not cross my path! It won't be so quiet if that happens!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today & have a wonderful weekend!

Case'd Myself

Hello & Happy Friday!

I made a card a few months back using the SaleABration set called Avant Garden. This became one of my favorite flower sets this year so I decided to case myself and make another card but using the new In Colors, Berry Burst & Powder Pink.

These colors look fabulous together!
Berry Burst reminds me of Marvelous Magenta from along time ago and Powder Pink reminds me of Blushing Bride.
I used the Delicate Details set for the lace across the bottom. That set is from this year's SaleABration  catalog, too. I added some small clear rhinestones on the lace under the Blushing Bride Baker's Twine.

Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Avant Garden, Delicate Details, Handwriiten Hello's (retired)
Ink: Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Berry Burst, Powder Pink. Whisper White
Accessories: Blushing Bride Baker's Twine, Clear Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Can't wait to play some more with the new In Colors!

Everythings Coming Up Peaches Today....

Hello & Happy Thursday!

As hot & humid as it's been I have been spending alot of time in my craft room this week.
After I take a break from stamping I find that once I get back to it that I have a hard time getting started. Once I get back at it then i'm usually on a roll. That is how things have gone this week!
Yesterday I spent most of the day stamping.
I have a pack of cards to share today that I made for a gift.

I snagged another pack of the Fruit Stand DSP off the Retiring List before it was gone forever. I love the summery prints in this paper and quite frankly, I was not sure I could live without! LOL
I decided to make a set up for a nice gift of all occasion cards and I will either make a box or package them up in a cello bag and make it fancy to give away.

All Occasion Card Set:

Stamps: Fresh Fruit, Warmest Regards
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Fruit Stand DSP
Accessories: Brick Wall EF, Lots of Labels Framelits, Peachaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
