Combined Challenges, Again!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone had a nice day!

I stamped today until my eyes started to get wonky on me. I think it's due to lack of sleep last night. For some reason I was still wide awake at midnight and then wide awake again at 5:30 this morning. Been awake since!! Once I got done what I needed to do today I headed down to work on yesterday's Sketch Challenge from over at SCS. Then I saw the Ways To Use It Challenge for today and knew I had to play along! It took me until this evening to get my pictures uploaded to Picasa. I've been having some computer issues and my very patient hubby has been trying to solve the problem (of course spyware!!). So, while we are sitting here watching the last pre-season Baltimore Ravens game...i'm going to get my blog & card uploaded and head to bed.

So here we go!

The Ways To Use It Challenge #442 is to make a card with an angel on! That's right up my alley!

I pulled out oldie but goodies to make this card but i'm very happy with it! I'm the type of person though that has to constantly keep adding to my card....like some type of embellishment. I really wanted to add some rhinestones or pearls but I wanted to keep this beauty flat for easy mailing!

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Deck the Halls DSP

Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Gold Trimmed Ribbon, Glue Dot, 2 Sided Tape

It doesn't get any easier than that!

Color Challenge 331

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day. The colors are: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler. Love these colors but I really struggled with them. The dessert option is Christmas in July. I've seen some really pretty cards so far but i've found it alittle tough. I may try to play with these colors again later.

So what do you think? I'm not quite sure on it. I do like the layout but something about those colors threw me off. Maybe i'm just not awake yet. Shawn's Restless Leg was acting up durning the night and eventually about 4am I had enough and got up. I made him breakfast and sent him off to work so I think now my bed is calling me back for a quick nap! :)

Hope you all had a super weekend! I know I did but it flew by so quickly!

Today, I got up early and hit my stamp room to work on a card order and then participated in todays Mojo Monday Sketches. I love doing their sketches!

I wanted to use this angel from the SU set called Angelic Joy from the Holiday Mini. I really like this set!! I had to flip the sketch the be able to use the angel though. It came together beautifully and I just love this card!! :)

So, today Fluffy had her first appointment with a new groomer out here in Joplin. We said she was in doggie daycare all day because Shawn dropped her off on his way to school this morning then picked her up on his way home. She looked ohhh so cute with the little bows in her ears but boy was she ever mad at us! Not sure if she didn't like the groomer or just being in doggie daycare all day but she was not a happy camper!

Just a quick post tonight then i'm off to watch alittle tv with the hubby & head to bed. Today is Sketch Challenge day over at SCS. I have always loved this challenge and hope now to be back at it on a daily basis! Below is today's sketch layout and my card. Take a look!

I got this set right before leaving PA but haven't had a chance mount it let alone ink it up! I think it's a beautiful set with wonderful sentiments included. Hope ya like my card.
