Baseball Post It Note Holder

Hello & Happy Saturday almost Sunday!
Hope your all enjoying your weekend and staying cool!
It was another HOT one here in PA so I spent most of the day in the downstairs crafting away! The paper & ribbon were flying as I got alot done but still have alot to do! I'm sure with all the hot days ahead i'll get more completed. Today i'm sharing another Post It Note Holder that I made. I had just enough baseball paper left to do this one. I thought I had some baseball brads to add to this but unfortunately I could not find them. I used some old ribbon from a multi pack of ribbon that Stampin Up use to carry and added a big ole red button. For some reason I really like this one! :)

Baseball Post It Note Holder:

Stamps: Sentiment from More Great Greetings
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Neenah White, unknown DSP
Accessories: SU Circle Punches, Ribbon, Button, White Baker's Twine, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for tonight!
Thanks for stopping by & have a good weekend!

Post It Note Acrylic Holder

Hello & Happy Friday!

Hope your all staying cool!
I think most of the country is now under some pretty hot temperatures and it's days like this that I miss my swimming pool that we had at our old house. Anyways, we made our way back from Joplin very early Tuesday morning and fell right into our beds. It took till yesterday to finally feel normal again. I guess you'd call it car-lag! That drive is very grueling but we had such a wonderful time seeing friends and seeing all the improvements that Joplin has done since we left. Still alot that needs to be done but oh my gosh, it is looking amazing! I also got to spend some time with my stamping buddy, Vicki Burdick while there. We antiqued, shopped and hung out at her house a bit. I wish it could have been longer but we only had 2 full days to see everything & everyone before we had to come home. Kelsey had to work, unfortunately. We also took our oldest daughter along with us since she was not able to visit us when we lived there. It was a good time!

Finally, yesterday I made my way back to my stamp table. I had alot of goodies waiting to be used and even still, I have not touched half of it! I wasn't much in a mood for making a card so I looked in my drawer and found a bunch of these 4X6 acrylic picture frames so what's one to do....make a Post It Note Holder! I made several but will just share this one today....

I had to call upon Vicki for some assistance on making the loopy bow. I was having trouble using a thicker, ruffled ribbon instead of using the seam binding ribbon but I conquered it! Woohoo! Thanks Vicki, for your help! :)

Post It Note Holder:

Stamps: Sentiment from More Great Greetings
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Neenah White, Summer Smooches DSP
Accessories: MS Doily Border Punch, SU Circle Punches, Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, Antique Brad, Hot Glue Gun, Scor Tape, Acrylic Picture Frame, Post It Note Pad, RSVP Pen

I'll have more to come in the coming days because I am having fun making these! Besides, what else is there to do when the temps are almost 100 and very humid out?? I'll be stamping! :)

Well, that is all for now!
Thank you for stopping by!
Stay cool & have a great weekend!

Merry Monday Challenge Week # 26

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a good weekend!
My family & I went on a road trip back out to Joplin, Missouri for a few days. We lived here for a year last year and moved back home in September. We wanted to return to Joplin a year later to see how things have changed since the deadly tornado went thru and tore the town apart. We also planned to see some friends while there too! Vicki Burdick & I keep in close contact everyday so it has been wonderful to see and spend some time with her!
By the time this post goes live, we will be half way back to PA.

So, this week Lesley from over at Playing With Paper gave us another very easy, simple sketch! This is what I love about this....the sketches are easy peasy! Below is her layout & my samples....

Stamps: Jolly St Nick, Pictograms
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers

Anniversary Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's a rainy, dreary day here in south central PA but the rain is much welcomed. It's a slow steady rain which the flowers are just loving! As for me, it's gonna be a pj day for me and a much needed stamp day!

I got an email the other day from a guy from our car club asking if i'd be interested in making an anniversary card for his wife. They will be celebrating their 1st anniversary next Monday. He wrote a saying to put inside and I thought it was a little too personal to share. I checked out their wedding pictures and seen she carried blue hydrangea's so that is what my mind went directly too....hydrangea's!
I inked up my image with a Marina Mist & Certainly Celery SU Markers. I did stamp my image with the Memento Black Pad and colored it with Copics but the black ink shows thru too strongly and I did not like that. I used some SU Bashful Blue DSP and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder with some White Satin Ribbon and White Pearls to finish it off. The sentiment "All My Love" is from an old SU SAB set called Smorgasboarders. I cut that out with some Circle Nestibilities. Also stamped my envelope to match!
I stressed over this card a little too much but I do like the outcome and hope my customer does too!

Well, that is all for now!
Thank you so much for stopping by & I hope your having a great day!

Just For Fun

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope you all are having a great weekend so far!
Yesterday I sat and just played a bit at my stamp table. I have so many images already stamped that needed to be added to cards. I don't know why I am hoarding them but decided it was time to start using them so I can get them out of my Image Box and onto some cards.

I have a ton of these Noble Deer images that I stamped off way before I moved to Joplin. It's one of the best masculine sets that Stampin Up has ever had! I'm not sure why I stamped the deer in blue but it is what is is! LOL

I'm always in need of masculine birthday cards so i'm sure this will get put to good use soon!

Deer Birthday Card:

Stamps: Noble Deer, Amuse Sentiment
Ink: Bordering Blue, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Bordering Blue, Chocolate Chip, Neenah White
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Tree Border Punch by EK Success, Word Window & Modern Label Punches, Silver Beads, Sore Tape

This week has been a really nice week weather wise! I decided earlier this week to so some cleaning and kinda threw my back into having muscle spasms again. Again there was no stamping for me until I could get that under control as it's very bothersome. All is well now so I hope to get ALOT more stamping accomplished this weekend and not only that, it is suppose to feel like summer will make it's return so i'm sure i'll wanna hide out downstairs where is stays naturally cool! Look for more stuff to come! :)

Well, that is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #23

Hello & Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
I'm back this week as a Merry Maker after taking last week off. I ended up playing along with the Merry Monday Challenge anyways so I would have all 22 cards completed but also to help me move forward. Losing Fluffy has left such a huge void in our lives & hearts but each day it's getting a little bit better. Today is 2 weeks now without her smiling little face & wagging tail. We miss her so much!

So, now it's time for another terrific sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper! I have grown to love her sketches and have enjoyed this challenge very much so! Her sketches are simple and that in itself makes you want to grab all your Christmas supplies and play along! Above is the link to where you can get lots of inspiration from Lesley and the rest of the Merry Makers so please be sure to pop on over and check it out!

I loved this week's sketch but had a terrible time with getting my sentiment in the upper right hand corner! At first I had cut out the actual sentiment that comes with this set in an oval shape but it covered too much of my embossed tree so I had to think smaller! I'm happy with the end results now!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #23 Card:

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Petite Pairs (sentiment)
Ink: Night of Navy, VersaMark
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Silver Shiny Paper, Silver Glitter Paper, Neenah White
Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilties, SU Scallop Edge Border Punch, Night of Navy Satin Ribbon, Heat Gun, Silver Embossing Powder, Hot Glue Gun, Silver Beads, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for me today!
Hope you liked my card for this week and will play along with us!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!
