Sweet Stems Belated Birthday

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Recently I sat down to make some cards and I was not sure what I was going to make. I have a bin that has lots of leftover bits & pieces in so I took inspiration from a piece of old DSP that was diecut with Stampin Up's long retired Top Note Die. Anyone remember that die? It was a Sizzix thick black one. Anyways, I pulled out the package of DSP that this diecut came from and made a quick card and paired it with an old wood mounted stamp set called Sweet Stems.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweet Stems (retired 2009), Coneflower Celebration
Ink: Rose Red (retired)
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss (retired In Color), Rose Red (retired), Basic White, Raspberry Tart DSP (retired 2009)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Top Note Die (retired), Stitched Labels Framelits (retired), Exposed Brick 3D EF, Rose Red Enamel Dots (retired), Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love the outcome of this one even though those colors are kinda bright. This just goes to show you how much stuff I have in my stash that is worthy of a beautiful card!!
Tomorrow we are in for a snow day...AGAIN! *sigh* I may just find myself back at my stamp table and pulling out more bits & pieces from my leftover bin to see what I can create. I really do enjoy that!

Charming Day/Blooming Phrases

 Happy Thursday, Friends!

We are almost to the Labor Day weekend...YAY!
It's been a very stressful week or so between Shawn's work and Miss Bailee being sick. We rushed her to the Vet Saturday morning to get checked out. She has a mild case of Pancreatitis which she now is doing so much better! I'm not sure what it is with the smaller breed of dogs but every single dog that we've had has this issue. She is now on a bland diet with us cooking her food and also a prescription dog food but each day we are seeing improvements. Needless to say she will be staying on this food for the rest of her life. She will be 14 in October and is still a spunky little thing. In case your wondering, she is a Shorkie (shih tzu & yorkshire terrior mix).
So today I have a quick card to share made using the Charming Day Suite from the Online Exclusives. I was late to the table for ordering this! I tried to resist it but in the end I finally got it! I paired this set with a sentiment from the Blooming Phrases stamp set also from the Online Exclusives.

Card Details:

Stamps: Blooming Phrases (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Floral Charm DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies (retired), Exposed Brick 3D EF, Charming Day Dies (Online Exclusives), Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon, Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots (Online Exclusives), Stampin Seal Adhesive

The Charming Day products are just beautiful and I have a few more cards to share with you using this suite!

We've had some gorgeous almost Fall like weather here in PA the last few days that I am having a hard time pulling myself downstairs to craft. Honestly, this weather could stay like this the rest of the year! LOL We don't have to run the AC or any heat!

That is all for today!
I hope that you will stop back in the next few days as I will share more of the Charming Day cards I made. They are so pretty!

Hope You Know

 Happy Saturday, Friends!

Sharing a quick card that I made recently using the retired Regal Flora Bundle that was available in the Stampin Up 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm not sure if this is still available on the Last Chance List but worth looking into!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hope You Know (retired), Regal Flora (retired)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat (retired In Color)
Cardstock: Wild Wheat (retired In Color), Basic White, Pretty Peacock, Regal Winter DSP (retired)
Accessories: Regal Flora Dies (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Exposed Brick 3D EF, Low Profile Gold Dots (Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Wild Wheat is now retired but it was an odd color although it always looked great paired with another color. I purchased this suite of products last year but never really had much of a chance to ink it up. I have enjoyed pulling it out and playing with it recently. I also made a wedding card for Audrey with it the same day as I made this card. What a difference it makes when you change it out to soft, pastel colors!

Today my hubby is out fishing on the Juanita River for the day so I am taking advantage of it and planning the day at my stamp table. Audrey requested 2 more packs of cards using the Simply Zinnia Suite from last year. They are already started and need finished up before I can move on. We shall see what the day brings! LOL The weather is to be another 10+!

Sending Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello & Happy Monday, Friends!

I hope that you had a chance to get out & enjoy the beautiful weather we had over the weekend! It truly was a 10+ here in Pennsylvania!

Today I am sharing card #3 from July's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This one was made using a variety of Stampin Up! products. Some are new, some are retired and those are the kind of cards I love to create! The girls love a variety of cards when they come to Stamp Day so I always try to have a sympathy card designed for them to make. This one I absolutely love!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sending Support (retired Online Exclusive), Country Flowers (sentiment inside), Painted Perennial (retired inside)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat (retired)
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat (retired), Basic White, Thoughtful Journey DSP
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, More Messages Die (Online Exclusives), Everyday Arches Dies (Online Exclusives), Adhesive Backed Trio Sequins (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Again, I had everything diecut for the girls, all they had to do was stamp and adhere their cards together. This makes things go much quicker.

Gallery Blooms & An Update

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Happy Hump Day to you!
This morning we have a bit of sunshine so that's a good thing! We had rain overnight and everything this morning is pretty soaked. More rain/storms are expected this evening, again. Warmer temps are on the way today and the humidity is to jump up. It will start feeling like summer even though the first day of summer arrives on Friday.
Today I have a card to share with you from the new Gallery Blooms bundle from the 2025-2025 Stampin Up Annual Catalog. This was one of the 1st purchases I made when the catalog went live. I love the flower images in it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Gallery Blooms, Beautiful Motifs
Ink: Memento Black, Strawberry Slush, Stampin Blends-Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight & Strawberry Slush
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Basic White
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Gallery Blooms Dies, Strawberry Slush Gems, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal

I'm not usually a big flower person but the flowers in the bundle are so pretty that I could not resist! I got both the Gallery Blooms & the Beautiful Motifs bundles but not the paper. It hasn't grown on me yet but maybe down the road I will grab it. For now I am happy with the stamp sets! Just beautiful and there will be more cards to come!

UPDATE:

I told you yesterday that I had my 4 month check up on Monday evening. I got bloodwork results back yesterday. I am shocked and elated that everything was within range and all is normal for the 1st time in my life! It's just so hard to believe! My doctor said "everything looked beautiful"! I am so proud of the work I put into myself and getting the results that I had never dreamed would come to light. I'm SO thankful for my doctor's guidance and this medication for changing my health and my life!

Celebratory Sips

Cheers to you & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

My hubby is officially on vacation for a few days. We have nothing planned as the weather is suppose to be rainy & gloomy. Not the way you'd like it to be with it being Memorial Day weekend but sometimes ya just have to take the good with the bad and move forward.
We have a few odd jobs around the house to pick at but not much else. Yesterday I did go to my stamp table to play instead of doing the laundry. LOL I played with the Darling Dino's, Ocean Friends and Latte Love but I want to share the one I made with the new Online Exclusives bundle called Celebratory Sips. A fun set with a set of pretty papers!

Card Details:

Stamps: Cheers & Sips (Online Exclusives), Inside Sentiment is retired, Darling Dino's (HB Sentiment)
Ink: Strawberry Slush
Cardstock: Strawberry Slush, Basic White, Cloud Cover, Celebratory Sips DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Nested Essentials Dies, Exposed Brick 3D EF, Holographic Resin Dots (Online Exclusives), Strawberry Slush In Color Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I do love the colors & patterns in this pack of paper!
Lots that can be diecut directly from it as well. I fussy cut the fancy drink because there was not a die for that and it was quite easy & painless! LOL
I opened my new roll of Strawberry Slush Ribbon for this card. It reminds me of a mesh material and easy to work with. The Holographic Resin Dots are super pretty but a bit big which can bulk up the card when mailing. I will most likely use those on projects that won't get mailed.

Nothing's Better Than...

Of course, Pumpkin Spice Season! LOL

Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

I'm sorry for the late update today, it was a late night last evening and I never got around to getting my blog updated. Yesterday I mentioned that Shawn had a doctor appointment. It was at 7:30 pm and i'm not sure why he scheduled it that late since we are usually in bed by 8:30. We waited about 20 minutes as his doctor was running a bit behind which I get it. He also sounded like he was getting over a cold as his voice was sounding spent for the day. We had a good visit with him and then had to get some bloodwork before we left. Doctor was pleased that he has lost weight and his blood pressure was really good, too! We got home right around 8:45 and got ready for bed. I don't think neither of us slept well and felt a bit off this morning even though he had a great check up. I'm guessing because we were off our normal schedule.
Today he should get the results of his blood work which I am anxious to hear about. He's made alot of changes in his diet and we walk everyday so that's gotta be a good thing!

Anyways, my card for today is another one of those cool fun folds that I seem to be addicted to making! LOL They are quite easy to make and so fun to decorate!

Card Details:

Stamps: More Than Autumn (Million Dollar Sales Achiever Set)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends- Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Reminisce Paper- Pumpkin Spice
Accessories: More Than Autumn Dies, Exposed Brick 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Pecan Pie Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Here is a picture of my newest addiction...

That is my Pumpkin Spice addiction!
I'm also making a homemade Pumpkin Pie for our Thanksgiving dinner.
My mom use to make the best pumpkin pies, ever! I'm so glad that I have her recipe! 💗

We did get rain yesterday but not much and at this point we'll take whatever we can get!
This morning the sun is just now starting to pop out so it's looking like a nice day ahead.
I'm working on laundry as it's my usual Friday chore and then need to do a quick trip to the grocery store this evening. Can you believe that we are less than 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving?! Time just flies anymore. Next Friday Shawn starts his vacation and i'm looking forward to some downtime & relaxing with him.

Grateful Fun Fold

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!
And welcome to November!

Trick or Treat Night 2024 is in the books! It was good and we had our usual 20-30 kids. I was very surprised at a couple teenage boys that came by and how polite and kind they were! You don't see that very often!

We took Bailee out with us to hand candy out and she loved seeing all the kids! Every year we sit on the tailgate of the truck and greet the kids as they come up the driveway. Here is a picture of Shawn & Bailee. It was also the warmest Halloween on record! We did not have to wear winter coats, hats or gloves....just t-shirts!

Also here are 2 pictures of Kelsey in their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costumes at work.
And then one of the entire Lion's Pride Restaurant. Halloween is such a fun day to see people dressed up!

So, now the fun part comes of putting Halloween away!
Thanksgiving will come out on Saturday because I don't want to over do it.
Today I have another fun fold card to share with you using a set called More Than Autumn.
I love this set and it's coordinating dies! I made this card to send to Kelsey since she is my pumpkin spice partner in crime. LOL

Card Details:

Stamps: More Than Autumn ($ Million Dollar Sales Achiever Set)
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Stampin Blends-Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, More Than Autumn Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Pecan Pie Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Her & I have both been hitting the Pumpkin Spice pretty hard since about August. I found my Premier Protein Shakes came in Pumpkin Spice flavor and I wasn't sure I'd like it but it's really good used in my morning coffee! She will definitely get a laugh out of this card!

Sweetly Scripted

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a pretty card to share that I made with the Sweetly Scripted stamp set from the Online Exclusives list. This set reminds me of 2 wood mounted sets from Stampin Up! that were out in the early 2000's called Wonderful Words & Wonderful Words 2. I'm pretty sure I still have both in my collection!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweetly Scripted (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Summer Splash
Cardstock: Summer Splash, Basic White, Petunia Pop, Unbounded Beauty DSP
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, Nested Essentials Dies, Flowers of Beauty Dies, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another one made for the card rack since my Get Well slot is getting empty.
That DSP I find a bit challenging to use because it's quite busy.
It sure made a pretty card though!
