Color Challenge 390

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!

I popped over to SCS this morning to see what the colors are for Color Challenge 390.

The colors are: Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade & Rich Razzleberry.

Here are the cards I made.....

I love this paper, Floral District! The colors are so summer-y!
I am in need a Thank You card for myself and can still use some for my card order that I decided to go simple and use some images I already had stamped. The Thank You card is an image from Oval All, which sadly has retired. The For You card is a sentiment from the All Holidays set that is also retired. Each card uses a strip of Floral District DSP layered onto some Daffodil Delight cardstock. Both punched out with the Lg Oval Punch and layered onto a Scalloped Oval. I added a piece of Rich Razzleberry & Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrains  on each card to finish it off. Simple & quite easy to make!

Color Challenge 390 Card:

Stamps: Oval All, All Holidays (both sets retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers (Butterfly)
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Neenah White, Floral District DSP
Accessories: Lg Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Rich Razzleberry & Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrains, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #30

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another sketch from Lesley, over at Always Playing With Paper!
This week's sketch is another easy peasy one so get out your Christmas supplies and let's get those Christmas cards made!

My image was already stamped so all I had to do was color it!
I added my sentiment and layered it with some Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler cardstocks. I used some Deck the Halls DSP and once again layered that onto some Crumb Cake cs and attached it to my Cherry Cobbler card base. Before I attached it to my base I found a piece of ribbon in my stash that matched the Cherry Cobbler perfectly so I tied that on with a simple knot. Added some rhinestones for interest and called it done! I think it took me longer to color my image than it did to assemble my card!! :)

Merry Monday Card Week #30:

Stamps: Bells & Boughs, More Merry Messages
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Neenah White, Deck the Halls DSP
Accessories: Ribbon, Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Stop on by Always Playing With Paper to see what the other Merry Markers have created this week! Once again, you won't be sorry!

I'm off to get my housework done then Kirsten & the puppies are coming for supper tonight so i'd better get off here and get started so i'm done before they get here!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Dynamic Duos Week #17

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
It's been busy for me!
Yesterday, I had a Stampin Up party to attend and had a great time! Learned a couple of things I didn't know so that's always a plus! We made a card with the new Ornament Keepsake Bundle, a masculine card and a cutsie card! I loved the Ornament card but not sure at this point if I will purchase it. I did buy the Scentsational Season Bundle because I just love the Gingerbread & Candy Cane that's in the set! I couldn't resist! I also got some Champagne Glitter Paper! LOVE that paper, doesn't matter what color (silver, red & now the champagne) because it packs such a punch on any card!

Anyways, today I fixed supper while Shawn went to a car show in Hanover. I planned the day to cook & get some craft show stuff rolling. I will start showing that stuff once it gets closer to the holidays.
This evening I did get to do my Dynamic Duos Challenge card. Yep, another one for my Aunt's order that is due before Christmas but I figured out that I only need about 8 more to complete it. Yeah!

So, here is this week's color's and my sample....

Dynamic Duos Challenge Card Week #17:

Stamps: Stipple Rose, Sentiment from Northwoods
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, Neenah White
Accessories: Lg Oval Punch, Corner Rounder, Antique Brads, 2 Sided Tape

I'm quite pleased with this beauty! Love the colors!

Well, that is all for me tonight!
We've been getting some serious rain here this afternoon/evening with lots of thunder & lightening. I had to break down and turn my air conditioning back on because it has become very humid. Blah! I'm ready for Fall and i'm ready to start decorating for Fall!! Hopefully soon!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

More Holiday Cards....

Hello & Happy Thursday!

No time for crafting today but wanted to share the other set of cards I made yesterday.
I was so inspired by my Freshly Made Sketches card yesterday that I had a vision to make one in Pacific Point and ended up changing the layout.

As I was searching for another snowflake punch I came across this huge one from Martha Stewart. I punched one snowflake with the glitter paper and thought, WOW, this is so pretty! I laid it on my card and loved it!
I loved how simple this sketch was so I did these just a tad different.
I really like these and you just may end up seeing this in another color as i'm hooked on these glittery snowflakes! :)

Season's Greetings Card:

Stamps: Many Merry Messages
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Neenah White, Brights- Pacific Point DSP 12 X 12 Stack
Accessories: MS Jumbo Snowflake Punch, Pacific Point Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Hot Glue Gun, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you like these!

Anyways, since I had time on my hands to create something I went over to the Freshly Made Sketches and checked out the sketch that Jen threw out this week. It's an easy one!

My card came together so quickly that I decided to make 4 more to sell at the craft show. I love the color & the sparkle of the the snowflakes on these!

Sketch Challenge 399

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your all having a great day so far!
This is my last free Wednesday for a few weeks so I decided to get some stamping in this afternoon!
Next Wednesday I start babysitting little Dominic a few hours while his mom goes to school. I'm excited to hang out with the little guy!

So, today I participated in the Sketch Challenge over at SCS.
Here is the sketch & my sample....

Still in need of a couple masculine cards for my Aunt's card order so I went in search of some masculine images that I have in my box. I used this one from a retired SU set called Autumn Days. I used Soft Suede for my card base then added a layer of More Mustard cardstock then some PTI White cardstock that I embossed with a woodgrain EF from Sizzix/Tim Holtz. I stamped my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Soft Suede, punched it out with the Word Window punch and layered that on to a pc of Soft Suede that was punched with the Modern Label punch. I popped the sentiment panel up with dimensional. Rounded 2 opposite corners on my main image with the SU Corner Punch and added an Antique Brad in the corner for interest. Glued it all together and called it done!

Stamps: Autumn Days, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: More Mustard, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, More Mustard, PTI White

Color Challenge 389

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another gorgeous day here in south central PA!
One of those days I have to fight with myself to go downstairs and stamp but I did it!

I went to SCS to find out what the colors were for today's Color Challenge 389.
The colors are: Summer Starfruit, Bravo Burgundy & Regal Rose!
Of my, what a combination!
I thought & thought on this all afternoon while organizing my ribbon drawers and finally got something created! Not sure how much I like it but here it is....

I pulled out an old SU set called Seasonal Sprays and stamped it fully in Bravo Burgundy. My mind went towards Fall. I then used the Regal Rose as a layer under my white cardstock that I embossed with the Square Lattice EF. My main image I layered onto a piece of Bravo Burgundy and punched it with the SU Eyelet Border Punch and added some Summer Starfruit Ribbon.  Lastly, I added the sentiment and attached everything to the Bravo Burgundy cardbase. No pearls or rhinestones on this one. Trying to keep some of my cards flat for easy mailing. This one will be going in with my Aunt's huge card order!

I have to say that I kinda like it but that piece of Regal Rose cardstock just throws me off a bit.
What do you think?

Color Challenge 389 Card:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, SU Eyelet Border Punch, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, Circle Punches, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for me this evening!
I'm off in search of a really good apple pie recipe! Apples are just coming into season here and Shawn brought some home last evening. I have a craving for a homemade apple pie and maybe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!:)

Thanks for stopping by & have a good nite!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #29

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

It's Monday once again and Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper has given us another great sketch to help us get those Christmas cards made!

It felt like Fall around here this past weekend. I am looking forward to Fall coming for the cooler temps, leaves changing, firepit & smore's with friends, jeans & sweatshirts and more time to craft! I have alot of things to get accomplished before the Holiday Craft Show gets here and i've become such a procastinator when getting things done.

Here is the sketch and my card....

I stamped my snowman image from the retired SU Gift Tags set and cut it out with the Labels 2 Nestibilities then colored it with Copic Markers. I added 5 little Frosted Glass Rhinestones under the image for interest and an Amuse sentiment above. I used Frostwood Lodge DSP for my 2 panels layered on to Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The white panel was embossed with the Snow Burst EF. I added the 2 patterened paper layers, added my Marina Mist Grosgrain and attached it all to my Marina Mist card base. I love how simple this is!

Stamps: Gift Tags (retired), AMuse sentiment
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Neenah White, Frostwood Lodge DSP

Happy Birthday, Dad

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
The weather here in PA couldn't be more perfect! Last nite the hubby & I went on a "date night" as he called it. We went to the Dallastown Carnival with our friends, Edgar, Amy & lil Dominic. He's so cute and growing like a weed! He's 5 months old and got 2 teeth already! The weather was awesome and we had a good time with them! :)

Anyways, today is my Dad's 77th birthday and yesterday I sat down and made him a card. I had this card in mind for awhile but sometimes getting it to come out the way you picture it is another story!

I'm not sure what type of card this is but I had made one of these several years ago. I usually just label them as a different fold card.

Here is the card.....

Dad's Birthday Card:

Stamps: Wonderful Woodcuts (retired), Sailing Away (retired), Perfectly Penned, Sentiment from Schooner (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Not Quite Navy, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Georgia Pacific White, Whisper White, Nautical Expedition DSP
Accessories: Silver Circle Clip, Sahara Sand Grosgrain, Dimensionals, Stamp A Ma Jig, Scor Tape

Simple, easy & fun to make and for once it turned out the way I pictured it in my head!
Hopefully this evening we will get to visit my Dad for a bit.
77 birthdays is a big milestone and every minute spent with him is special! :)

And below is a picture of my awesome hubby holding Dominic last evening at the carnival. He is such a sweet & pleasant little boy. We were passing him back & forth to give his mom & dad a break as they were playing games and winning him lots of stuffed animals! Just look at those cheeks and big blue eyes! Cuuuuute! :)

Well, that is all for today!
Stay tuned for tomorrow....time for another sketch from Merry Mondays!
Till then.....enjoy the rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Dynamic Duo Week #16

Hello & Happy Saturday!

WOW, what a gorgeous day we are having here in south central PA! I wish it'd stay like this all year round! I'm down in my stamp room this afternoon playing while the hubby is out mowing, trimming bushes and cutting another down. I have a few things i'd like to do out in the yard but I think I will hold off on that till tomorrow!

So today I needed to get some cards made! One for my Dad's 77th birthday tomorrow and the other one for the Dynamic Duo Challenge. I have grown to love their color challenge each week. Plus Saturday's I like to stamp IF there isn't anything going on.

Really wasn't too keen on this color combo but I seen Anne Marie made a Christmas card and it looked so pretty! Thought i'd go the same route with mine as well.

I embossed my tree with black embossing powder and added rhinestones to the snowflakes on the tree just to make it pop. I used the retired Snow Burst EF on the River Rock panel and added a piece of River Rock grosgrain with a bow. Added the sentiment and attached it to my black card base and called it finished! I'm quite happy with it!

Dynamic Duo Week #16 Card:

Stamps: Snow Swirled
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, River Rock, Neenah White
Accessories: Versamark, Black EP, Snow Burst EF, River Rock Grosgrain, Rhinestones, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for me today!
I'm cleaning off my table and heading outside for a bit!
I think it might be firepit/smores nite later this evening. I love weather like this!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
See you tomorrow!

Freshly Made Sketches #48

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday, was a brand new sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog. I've been trying to work on a few Halloween things so when the time comes I have a few things to give out. I worked yesterday & today trying to get something put together and just couldn't get it to go. I walked away last evening and today I gave it another shot. I'm not sure why I was having so many issues with it, maybe it was just me but today I got it to work!
Below is the sketch for this week & my card.......

Before I started anything I got out all my Halloween supplies to see what I had to work with. I had this pack of Halloween Night DSP which is retired from years ago. I'm trying to use up what I have before I go and buy more and sometimes that is really hard to do but i'm trying to stick to my guns!  I pulled out this adorable little set from SU called Fangtastic. I hardly ever used it since I had purchased it right before we moved to Missouri 2 years ago. Most of my sets are old & retired. I colored my image with the colors that are in the papers and added the MS Spider Web Border Punch and 3 pieces of Vintage Violet Grosgrain. I also added 4 little rhinestones, popped up the image and called it done.  I almost didn't think I was gonna conquer this sketch! LOL

Freshly Made Sketches #48 Card:

Stamps: Fangtastic
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Only Orange (retired), Vintage Violet (retired), PTI White, Halloween Night DSP (retired)
Accessories: MS Spider Web Border Punch, Rhinestones, Vintage Violet Grosgrain (retired). Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that does it for me today!
It's a beautiful day here in PA! I love having the AC off and windows open for fresh air! It could stay this way the rest of the summer! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Color Challenge 388

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS and I decided to play along.
The colors are: Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point & Night of Navy.
When I seen the colors it took me back to last Friday's "Umbre" challenge so I went on to make my card with that challenge in mind.

The dessert option is to use swirls. I used this Stampin Up set called Snow Swirled which has many swirls in the tree design. I stamped my main image in Night of Navy and cut it out with Rectangle Nestibilities. I added some frosted beads to the tree image. I then cut out pieces of Tempt. Turquoise, Pacific Point & Night of Navy in 1 3/4 X 1 3/4 pieces and embossed them with SU Square Lattice EF. Attached them down the side of my white card base and added my tree image & sentiment (that was already stamped & cut out) Not quite sure i'm liking this but it does remind me of Christmas colors.

Color Challenge 388 Card:

Stamps: Snow Swirled
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Tempt. Turquoise, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Acessories: Rectangle & Rectangle Scallop, Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, Frosted Glass Beads, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Free 4 All Challenge 129~ Ombre!

Hello & Happy Friday!

Up bright & early today, probably because I hardly slept last nite. The last few nights when my head hits the pillow my mind is racing and I find myself tossing & turning. Not sure what the deal is but I hope this doesn't continue! Woke up to rain this morning and they are saying rain most of the day but we'll see about that!

I'm still slowly working on that huge card order for my Aunt so today I popped over to SCS to see what today's Free 4 All Challenge was. Our hostess, Dawn, themed it...Ombre! I would have never known what Ombre was until Kelsey had her hair colored like that last winter. It's when you take a certain color and go from light to dark. I chose to make a masculine card since I need them for my card order.

From light to dark I used....Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip & Early Espresso and I love the look!
I found in my "image box" this golfing image called On The Green from Stampin Up. I cut it out with Square Nestibilities and used an AMuse sentiment to finish off my card. The inside says " Have a hole in one kind of day"! Perfect for my card!

Free 4 All Challenge 129 Card:

Stamps: On The Green, AMuse sentiment
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso, Neenah White
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Square Nestibilities, Stamp A Ma Jig, Scor Tape

Easy, easy, easy! And a great challenge for this rainy day too!
Hope you like!

Well, that is gonna do it for me today!
Got my craft room all organized and i'm ready to get started on a few Christmas projects!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches #47

Hello & Happy Wednesday!
For some reason I keep thinking today is Thursday! Unfortunately, i'm a day ahead of myself!
Guess i'm looking forward to the weekend getting here!

Anyways, today i'm playing along again with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I have had Halloween on my mind for the last couple days because i'm craving those cooler days where I can let the windows open and breathe in the fresh air! So, for today's card I went with a Halloween theme!

Here is the sketch and my card.....

I used Pumpkin Pie as my card base then added a piece of white that I used the Spider Web EF on. I used some old dsp called Creepy Crawly. My main image is from a retired set called Booglie Eyes. I colored my image with Copic Markers and added some googlie eyes to my little ghost. The black cardstock under the main image was embossed with the Square Lattice EF and I punched out the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes with the Word Window Punch and called it done!

I'm pretty happy with my 1st Halloween card of the year!
What do you think?

Freshly Made Sketches #47 Card:

Dynamic Duo's Challenge Week #14

Hello & Happy Sunday!

I seem to be on a roll with making it a priority to get some stamping time in lately! Yeah me! Actually, it's just too hot & extremely humid to do much else!

My card today is from a challenge I found a few weeks ago but have never played along till now! I have become such a slacker this summer and i'm not sure why. Sometimes I just feel like I spend way tooo much time in my craft room and life is passing me by, so I do try to spend more time with my family but stamping & creating are such a passion and a fun outlet for me!  Anyways, today's challenge comes from the Dynamic Duo's blog. It's a color challenge and I love doing color challenges!

I did not set out to make an Anniversary card but rather a Birthday or a Sympathy card for a huge card order for my Aunt. When I was searching thru a baggie of sentiments that had been stamped previously, I found this Happy Anniversary sentiment already mounted on a piece of Wild Wasabi and I JUST hated to pass it by! So, that's my story and i'm sticking to it! hehe
Such a pretty card and I adore these colors! My mind went to thinking of Fall but since we're still in the midst of the heat & humidity....I decided on flowers instead.

Dynamic Duo's Week #14 Card:

Stamps: Field Flowers
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, PTI White, Wild Wasabi DSP
Accessories: SU Top Note Die, SU Eyelet Border Punch, Pumpkin Pie 1/3 Grosgrain, SU Vintage Wallpaper EF, Dragonfly Brad, Scor Tape

Hope you like!

Well, that's all for today, folks!
Off to eat a quick lunch then hubby & I are off to explore a park in Maryland!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

A Birthday Card

Hello & Happy Saturday!

I'm up early and made a card this morning for my sister in law who is having her 4oth birthday party today!
As I type this it's getting ready to storm and we have warnings coming across the Weather Channel. It's about time for us to leave to go to the party so I wanted to get my card uploaded before we left.

I recently purchased the Happy Hour set from Stampin Up but have yet to use it. My sister in law's birthday is the reason I purchased it. She likes to party so this set it perfect for her!
I grabbed several packs of dsp but chose to use the Floral District because of the flashy, bright colors! I made a money card for her because she is one of those types of people that has everything and I scratched my head for weeks thinking of what to get her. I just decided to give her money!

I love this paper because it goes great with this stamp set!

This card fits inside an Open End Envelope.

Happy Hour Card:

Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Memento Black
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Neenah White, Floral District DSP
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Daffodil Delight 1/4 Grosgrain, White Pearls, Scor Tape

Well, that is all I have for today!
I'm off to a birthday party and hope these storms soon calm down!

Thanks for stopping by &  have a great day!

Another Masculine Card

Hello & Happy Friday!

Just wanted to share a card I made last week. I'm in need of masculine birthday cards for a card order and i'm stuck on making these Pocket Cards still. I think they just look so awesome!

I know I made one a week or so ago with the same image but it's a stamp that i've had for years and just could never color it to where I liked it. I really like stamping this on a neutral colored cardstock without coloring it and of course, I had to make another one! Again, I used more of the To The Nines Specialty DSP from a few years back. Love it!

Well, that is all for today!
Another hazy, hot & humid day here in PA so i'm gonna go try to do a bit more crafting today! Earlier this week Shawn & I were canning some homemade salsa & peach jam. It was fun bonding with him in the kitchen but till we were done, my feet & back hurt terribly! I'm ready to sit & do some crafting!

Thanks for stopping by & have a super day!

Freshly Made Sketches #46

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone is doing well.
Been really busy around here but found sometime today to go do some stamping!
I found over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog a great sketch for this week and decided to give it a try! I love their sketches and hope to try to participate on a weekly basis from now on.

Here is the sketch & my card.....

This Anniversary card was made for some very special friends of ours! I already had some of these Top Note die cuts cut out with different designer papers and went with this one from Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP from a few years back. I added some hearts cut out with the Embosslits Scallop Heart of Hearts then punched white cardstock with the Heart Punch and embossed that with the same embosslit and glued it on top of the Baja Breeze hearts. I added 3 little white pearls on the one heart and one on the sentiment where the "i" is dotted. I used a strip of Baja Breeze cardstock that I punched with a MS Heart Border Punch and a piece of SU White Satin Ribbon. The white layer under it all is embossed with the SU Square Lattice EF.
I added the sentiment panel on the Top Note and called it done.

Happy Anniversary, Deb & Ed!!!

Freshly Made Sketches #46 Card:

Stamps: unknown Anniversary sentiment
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Neenah White, Parisian Breeze DSP
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Top Note Die, Embosslit Scallop Heart to Heart, Heart Punch, MS Heart Border Punch, White Satin Ribbon, White Pearls, Scor Tape

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
