Forever Greenery Suite

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone is doing well!

A few weeks ago I participated in a friend's online workshop that I thought was so much fun!
I have been in such a funk with my stamping and i'm finding that participating in online classes & workshops are slowly pulling me out of it.
Debbie Henderson has been doing online classes since the whole Covid 19 thing began as a way to keep people busy stamping while being stuck at home. Last month she held her first online workshop as a way to get orders since demo's are not able to meet in person with the virus.
She had an ordering special which I took part in. Then she sent out free card kits for those who ordered and these 3 cards i'm going to share are what she sent.

She sent out all the bits & pieces to create the cards but not any stamped images.
Luckily, I already had the stamp set! As soon as it arrived last Monday I sat and did all 3 cards!
Aren't they pretty!?

The Forever Greenery Suite is probably my most favorite so far!
Right now I am using it for a swap that I signed up for.
I will share that card once they get to their destinations!

Card Details:

Stamps: Forever Fern
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Just Jade
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Garden Green, Soft Seafoam, Just Jade, Whisper White, Forever Greenery DSP
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Classic Label Punch, Greenery EF, Forever Flourishing Dies, Label Me Lovely Punch, Rhinestones, Champagne Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Forever Fern Gift Bag

Hello & Happy Saturday!

It's to be a hazy, hot & humid day here so once I grab some groceries I will be staying put inside.
Thankfully, Shawn already mowed last evening.
We talked about grilling tonight for supper but that depends if we get any severe storms!
I may need a back up plan!

So, today I have a gift bag to share with you that I made for a customer order.
Usually she will ask if I have any made up that she can buy.
It just so happened that she bought my last 4 bags last month and I was out of small gift bags.
A trip to my local Dollar Tree and I got stocked back up!

I used the new Forever Fern Suite which is a wonderful product line.
I love all the different greens in the paper.
The ribbon I used is retired from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.
All of the diecut greens and gold foil diecuts are from the same suite.

Project Details:

Stamps: Ridiculously Awesome
Ink: Shaded Spruce
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Forever Greenry DSP
Accessories: Forever Flourishing Dies, Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper, Stitched Nested Dies, Shaded Spruce/Gold Ribbon (retired), Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I will have some cards to share soon using this same suite and products.
The sentiment comes from a new set as well called Ridiculously Awesome.
Love this set as the fonts are so cool!!
It is a million dollar achiever set designed by Ronda Wade and I love the sayings in it!!

Peaceful Moments HB

Hello & Happy Thursday!

This week seems like it's really flying by!
Today I have another card to share that was made at my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together last Saturday. We made 4 birthday cards and tomorrow I will share the last one so be sure to stop back!

At my Stamp Day w/ Friends events we usually make a variety of cards using new products as well as retired. My friends have retired products just like I do so I try to incorporate them into my projects. I always say, use what you have!

My collection of stamps range from very old to new. Over the years I have bought many of the older Stampin Up! stamps from Ebay and still use them for my card orders or my Stamp Day events. I do like that now most stamp sets come with a matching die which makes life much easier. I am not much of a fussy cutter because my hands bother me so the dies are wonderful!
Either way, when you come to my Stamp Day w/ Friends event you never know what we are gonna use and everyone seems happy with that!

This card uses a bit of both old & new.
The old being my background stamp. It is called Weathered and I tend to reach for this one quite a bit! Stampin Up! recently had a background stamp out that was almost like this one called Crackle Paint and I did not get it since these 2 background stamps were similar.
The new being a stamp set called Peaceful Moments. It came out in the January -July Mini Catalog and thankfully it carried over into the new Annual Catalog! I love the font in this set!

Over the last few years I try to be a bit more selective of what I order and not just because I need it.
I already have so many wonderful stamps in my collection that I do try to use so I don't want to invest in something that will sit and collect dust.

Card Details:

Stamps: Peaceful Moments, Weather Background (retired)
Ink: Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Magnolia Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits,Champagne Rhinestones,  Petal Pink/Champagne Satin Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The girls loved how quick & easy this one came together.
And it mails flat, too!
Yay! I am trying getting better about that!

Pop of Petals

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Shawn is off today so I am going to make this post a quick one!

I have a card to share that my girls & I made on Saturday at my Stamp Day w/ Friends.
This one uses the retired Pop of Petals stamp set.
I had this kit ready since before the retirement list came out in April.
I know the girls don't care if it's retired or not.
They like that I use what I have...

This card was a bit time consuming since we did not line up the flowers with the punch.
I made note to make sure I do that next time we use this set!

Card Details:

Stamps: Pop of Petals (retired), Itty Bitty Birthdays
Ink: Highland Heather, Soft Seafoam, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Soft Seafoam, Whisper White, Garden Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Four Petal Flower Punch (retired), Glittered Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Once we had all those flowers punched out we took a bone folder to each petal and gave them a curl.
It will still mail flat!

Time to Celebrate!!

Hello & Happy Hot & Humid Tuesday!

It's sweltering here the last couple of days!
I'm ready for a refreshing cold front to come thru and give us some nice comfortable days.
Last week really spoiled us!

Today I have a card to share that my girls made Saturday at our Stamp Day w/ Friends!
It was most fabulous seeing them again!
I also threw out to them that if they wanted they could wear their masks.
No one even brought theirs along!

My masculine card today is a fun fold like I shared last week!

I borrowed Deb's Sailing Home stamp set & coordinating dies to make this.
Thanks, Deb!
The measurements on this fun fold I posted last week but here they are again...

Cardbase is 4 1/4 x 11.
Scored at 4 and again at 5 1/2.
The section measuring 1 1/2 is where it gets glued shut.
It reminds me of a book.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home, Itty Bitty Birthdays
Ink: Balmy Blue, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Smooth Sailing Dies, Sail Away Trinkets, Baker's Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The girls like their masculine cards and they both really liked this one!
I did too!

Enjoy Today

Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Boy, did it ever get hazy, hot & humid here! Not my favorite weather by all means!
I know it's good for the flowers and the gardens but it's the most uncomfortable weather.
Today it's to be in the low 90's so that means my AC will be on overtime to keep it cool inside.

Today I have one last set of cards to share that was part of my customer's last order.
I finished it up on Wednesday and delivered it to her on Thursday so she could get those masculine birthday cards in the mail this week for family.
She was most appreciative of that!

This set uses many retired products like the Cool Treats Suite that was available a few years ago.
It all about Popcicles & Ice Cream!

You will notice that on this pack of 5 cards, 2 cards have a different layout as I was using up scraps of paper.
My card lady was fine with it.
The Cool Treats stamp set also has coordinating Framelits but on this set of cards I did not use them.
The paper is Tasty Treats Specialty DSP which is also retired. Luckily, I had 2 packs of it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Cool Treats (retired), Good Morning Magnolia (sentiment)
Ink: Watermelon Wonder (retired), Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Pool Party, Whisper White, Tasty Treats Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Crushed Curry Enamel Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today will be the perfect day for an ice cold popcicle!
But make sure to eat it fast!

Just Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Saturday!

WooHoo! My Stamp Day w Friends has finally arrived!
I'm having a few friends over to make cards today!
I can't wait as it's been 6 months since the last time we got together!

I have a quick set of cards to share today that I made for that same customer order I have been working on. My card lady loves her Thinking of You cards and specifically asked for the pretty paper from the Ornate Gardens Specialty DSP.

I started out with a cardbase of Bumble Bee cardstock.
I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that was diecut with the Ornate Layers Dies (which they are gorgeous!) and then a piece of Ornate Gardens Specialty DSP that was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Lastly I stamped my sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set and diecut it with the Circle Layering Framelits.
All the Framelits are now called Dies since Sizzix no longer makes the Stampin Up!'s dies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Many Mates
Ink: Bumble Bee
Cardstock: Bumble Bee, Whisper White, Ornate Gardens Specialty DSP
Accessories: Ornate Layers Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These cards were simple to create but that beautiful detailed die gives it so much elegance!
My card lady loved them!

Amen!
I'm really blessed with some amazing friends, near & far!

Graduation 2020

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend has arrived!
Anyone have anything fun planned?
I know some places are still under stay at home orders.
Here in York County we are in the green and everything has reopened.
It's still not back to normal as we use to know it but atleast we're moving in the right direction.

I have been working on a card order since last week and wrapped it up on Wednesday.
My customer asked for a graduation card for her local high school.
Eastern York is where my entire family attended school and the colors are blue & gold.
I pulled out a retired stamp set called Witty Cisms and got to work.
Witty Cisms is a million dollar achiever stamp set that was designed by Lisa Fast.

This card turned out exactly like I imagined in my head and that hardly ever happens! LOL

I took 5- 1 x 4 1/4 inch strips of cardstock in Blueberry Bushel and Daffodil Delight and layered them on my Thick Whisper White cardbase leaving about 1/8 of an inch in between each piece.
Trimmed the ends if I had any hanging over the edge.
Then stamped my image from the retired Witty Cisms stamp set on a diecut circle and layered onto a piece of Blueberry Bushel scallop layer and added a rhinestone for sparkle.
I popped that up with a dimensional and it was finished!

Card Details:

Stamps: Witty Cisms (retired)
Ink: Blueberry Bushel (retired)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Blueberry Bushel (retired), Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestone, Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Very happy with this one!

Masculine Birthday Card #5

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have the last masculine birthday card to share.
These were all part of the card order I have been working on since last Friday.

I love this paper and sad that it's been long retired.
Blueberry Bushel is the one of the nicest color of blues that Stampin Up! has ever had in my opinion.
This pack of paper makes some really cool masculine cards!

Card Details:

Stamps: Happiest of Birthdays
Ink: Mango Melody
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Blueberry Bushel (retired), Whisper White, Best Route DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Nested Dies, Best Route Enamel Shapes (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Yesterday I got my card order all wrapped up and ready for delivery!
Now I need to get a few last minute things wrapped up for my Stamp Day w/ Friends!
 Adult socialization....woohoo!

Masculine HB Card #4

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I have been sharing all this week a set of masculine birthday cards that are made for my card lady. She wanted 5 different styled cards for members of her family that all have birthdays the last 2 weeks of June. Today I have another one to share...

This one uses paper from the retired pack of Magnolia Lane DSP.
I basically used scraps that were left in my pack. I did purchase another pack when it was marked down on the retired list but I have not opened it yet.
I paired it up with that amazing sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set that is new!
I love that font! I diecut it with a Stitched Nested Die and added a diecut leaf from the Magnolia Memory Dies.
I hope by using the leaf printed paper and adding a leaf diecut I kept this on the masculine side.

Card Details:

Stamps: Happiest of Birthdays
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Magnolia Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Magnolia Memory Dies, Stitched Nested Dies, Champagne Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm headed to my stamp table today to finish working on that same card order.
Yesterday she added to my order so I need to get crack a lackin!

DD Pines HB Card #3

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was my day to do housework so again their was no creative time.
I hope today once I get the bathroom cleaned that I can get inky!
Saturday, I am having friends over for some play time!
I've not stamped with friends since December (thanks to the virus) so I am looking forward to seeing them and making cards! I will share those projects next week.

Today I have another masculine birthday card to share that is part of my customers card order.
Remember all 5 need to be different since they are all for family.

A few months ago I purchased a stamp set off someone on Facebook.
It was the retired DD Pines. DD stands for Definitely Decorative.
Anxious to use it I finally had a reason to ink it up!
Needless to say that this stamp set was unmounted and never seen ink....until now!

I found that stamping the solid image was a bit of a challenge and ended up using my foam piercing mat under it. It wasn't the best image but it worked.
I used my Stamp A Ma Jig to get perfect placement for the birds. I'm supposing they are geese?
I also used the new Happiest of Birthdays stamp set for my sentiment.
That is a great set and I can see using that ALOT!

Card Details:

Stamps: DD Pines (retired), Happiest of Birthdays
Ink: Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Shaded Spruce, HOTP Plaid Paper
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Linen Thread, Holiday Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card is completely flat for easy mailing!
