Celebrating Sunflowers

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Another busy day is on tap!
My card lady called me Tuesday & yesterday and gave me more cards to add to her order. Yesterday we finally got the driveway tore up, widened and repaved. I'm so happy that it is done! It's definitely been a busy summer with the roof & driveway replacements.

Today I have a set of pretty sunflower cards to share that I made for that card order.
She has asked for Fall so I got out the Celebrating Sunflower stamp set & Sunflower Dies and got to work.

I started out with a cardbase of Just Jade cardstock.
Then I added a Basic White layer that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Tasteful Textile 3D EF. You know this is my favorite!!
Next I took some scraps of Flowers For Every Season DSP from last year and added them to my Basic White panel. It's always good to use up scraps and no matter the size there is a way to use them up!
Next I took the Sunflower Dies and cut out the sunflower with Bumble Bee cardstock. I had to use my Die Brush & Foam Mat to get those bits & pieces out of the die which worked like a charm. I adhered it to my card with just a small amount of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the center of the sunflower.
I stamped my sentiment in Just Jade ink and diecut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits then glued that down flat over the diecut sunflower. I added 2 retired Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots to each Stitched Rectangle Panel and then added a Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon bow and called this set done.
I think these are my favorites!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sharing Sunshine
Ink: Just Jade
Cardstock: Just Jade, Bumble Bee, Basic White, Flowers For Every Season DSP (retired)
Accessories: Sunflower Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I so wish Stampin Up! would have kept this paper instead of retiring it.
It's so pretty and filled with many different flowers besides the sunflowers!

Customer Thank You Cards

 Good Morning & Happy Friday!

It's the start of the long Labor Day weekend! Anyone have any fun plans?

Yesterday I celebrated my 54th birthday!
I received so many warm wishes and cards from friends!
Shawn took me out for a nice dinner last evening but for the most part it was a low keyed day.

I treated myself to an order from Stampin Up! for the new Magnetic Plate that goes with the new Stampin Emboss & Diecutting Machine! I have yet to use mine because I was waiting on that plate.
Everyone says how nice it is compared to the Big Shot.
I'm excited to try it!

On Wednesday I sat and created some customer Thank You cards.
I like to keep these on hand and send when I get orders.
I remember a demonstrator I had when I first got into Stampin Up! in 2001.
She passed away many years ago from breast cancer but she always sent a personal card with a note inside when you placed an order. It always made me feel appreciated so I try to do that now with my customers!

I took some scraps of the Flowers for Every Season DSP and cranked these out in about 20 minutes.

My sentiment comes from a retired Million Dollar Achiever stamp set from Steffi Heimschrott, whom I believe is from Germany. It's a wonderful set filled with many sayings!

Card Details:

Stamps: Modern Heart (retired Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Whisper White, Flowers for Every Season DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today i'm not sure what i'm going to get into.
I'll be sure to share here once I get something created!

Jar of Flowers Thanks Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I slept in this morning for a change!
I guess you can say that I am becoming an early bird since the last few months I am up when Shawn gets up for work. I noticed it's staying darker a bit longer in the mornings...

Yesterday I played at my stamp table after lunch.
It was a good day for creating!
I usually stamp in the afternoons when my soap opera's are on but the last several months they have been repeats because of the Covid stuff so I haven't been turning the tv on.
I pulled out several new stamp sets and just played and colored.
Jar of Flowers hasn't seen much ink time so I made a Thank You card for on my card rack.

This time I used the sunflowers image.....my favorite!
Again, when I started I stamped my flower image on a post it note and fussy cut just the bottom portion that would hang out over the top of my jar.
This is to keep any of the jar lines from being stamped over top my flowers.

I stamped my flower image first on my cardstock then placed my post it note mask over top of them.
Then I stamped my jar image and voila....no lines show thru to my flowers once my mask was taken off! I was pleased about that!

Then I pulled out a bunch of Stampin Blends and colored my image.
My Thanks tag was diecut from the Ornate Frames Dies from the Halloween products from last year. The Ornate Frames Dies carried over into our new catalog. They are so pretty and I find myself using them quite a bit!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Here's A Card (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin Blends (both Balmy Blue, both Just Jade, both Misty Moonlight, both Cinnamon Cider, Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Mango Melody)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Misty Moonlight DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Ornate Frames Dies, White Baker's Twine, Bumble Bee Enamel Dots, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hard to tell in my photo but I did add Wink of Stella to my sunflower petals.
I love the shimmer it gives them!

Today I have a pack of pretty cards to share that were made for my customer order.
She asked for sunflowers...

My sunflowers are a retired set called Serene Sunflowers.

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Today summer is to come back in full force.....90's and high humidity!
We've been really spoiled the last few weeks with cool weather.
I keep saying that Fall is coming early this year!

Yesterday I was at my stamp table most of the day.
I feel like I got something accomplished!
I needed a couple Thank You cards.
I pulled out a pack of the retired Painted Autumn DSP and just started playing.

What better way to celebrate September than to use some pretty sunflower paper!
I have been seeing sunflowers every where we go lately! They are SO beautiful!
I only have a few scraps of this certain print left so I diecut them out and made the most of them!
I love every single one of them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Pocketful of Happiness (sentiment)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Painted Autumn DSP (retired)

Painted Harvest

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sharing my last card from my last stamp day with the girls.
I try to keep them as simple as possible so they do not get bored or frustrated in making them.
This one is a pretty simple one.

As you can tell I really do love that Painted Harvest stamp set! I use it all the time!
On this flower I used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. My center is done in Early Espresso.
I am quite fond of this sentiment too for Thanksgiving which is in the same set.
I also heard this stamp set will be carried over into the New Occasions Mini Catalog that will be released in January! WooHoo! If you do not have this set....it's a must have!

Painted Harvest Card:

Stamps: Painted Harvest
Ink: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Painted Autumn DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Banner Punch (retired), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I worked on a few card idea's for my next stamp get together.
Since we already did Halloween, I think I will move on to Fall/Thanksgiving.

My card that I am sharing today uses the Painted Harvest stamp set which I absolutely love for Fall/Thanksgiving! Here is another Thank You notecard that was made for my card crazy customer.

Thank You Cards:

Stamps: Painted Harvest
Ink: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Very Vanilla Notecards & Envelopes
Accessories: none

Since there aren't any layers on this card set, they were quick & very fast to make!
My kind of card!!

Sunflower Set

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Sadly, it is the last day of September.
While I love the Fall weather we are having, I am sad to see September end...

Anyways, I have another set of sunflower cards to share today.
I know your probably thinking....my God woman...how many sunflower cards did you make?!
Well, my customer has been on a roll with ordering them and i'm always happy to create them for her!

These were made with the 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit that I purchased off of Ebay. The little sunflower is from the stamp included in the kit called Something Good to Eat. I have been using this stamp alot this season! The speckles under the sunflower image are from a stamp in the Gorgeous Grunge set. My banner flag is also from the Paper Pumpkin kit. These are adhesive backed and were to be attached to the test tubes that were in the kit as well. Instead I used it under my sunflower circle.
My customer wanted sunflowers on this pack but no sentiment so she could use it for whatever occasion she needed it for. She sends out alot of cards on a daily/weekly basis. She writes inside each card, too! I wish I could be that awesome with writing in my cards but unfortunately, I am not.

Sunflower Card Set:

Stamps: Something Good to Eat (Paper Pumpkin Sept. 2016)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Crushed Curry Enamel Dots, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She was very happy with these when I delivered them this week!
She was in desperate need for them as she used up all that I gave her 2 weeks ago!

She's just a wonderful lady, inside & out and I am blessed to have her as a customer/friend!

My thoughts today...

Well, that is all today!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy this last day of September!
I hope to get out for a long bike ride this afternoon, maybe even catch up to the train at Hanover Junction as long as it's not windy out!

For this set she asked for Thinking of You.

I am having so much fun creating sunflowers with the Painted Harvest stamp set. I am anxious to have a free day where I can make them in different colors! I even seen it used as a wreath for Christmas! Can you say LOVE!!! I will be giving that a try soon!

These of course were made for my dear sweet customer who was spoiled rotten on her recent 85th birthday! She needed many Thank You cards that I was happy to create for her. I used the Painted Harvest stamp set and my ink colors are Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze for the sunflowers. The centers are Early Espresso. I totally love this stamp set!!!

Ink: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake

Special Celebrations

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all enjoying the weekend so far!

It's a busy one here with a list of "TO DO" things going on!
Somewhere in there I hope to get the bicycle out and take a ride on the Rail Trail. With hubby working in Baltimore it's been impossible to squeeze any exercise time in especially with the sun setting earlier & earlier everyday as we head into the end of daylight savings time.

Anyways, before the day gets away from me I want to share with you an adorable pack of cards I made for my dear customer.  Again she requested sunflowers.

This sunflower paper does all the work! All I had to do was stamp my sentiment and punch it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I attached it with dimensionals and added a Crushed Curry Enamel Dot and called these done. So pretty with a simple design!

Happy Birthday Card Set:

Stamps: Special Celebrations
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Painted Autumn DSP
Accessories: Pretty Label Punch, Crushed Curry Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is one of my favorite packs of cards because of that pretty paper!
I will be stocking up!

My thoughts today....

Going to be a nice day here in PA but our temps are suppose to be in the upper 80's close to 90 this weekend. What happened to our Fall crisp, cool weather?

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!
