Spotlight on Nature Friend Card

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Friends!

Hope your having a nice weekend!
The weather has been filled with sunshine but a tad on the cool side. I will still take it though!
Today I have a card to share that I made using the now retired Spotlight on Nature stamp set. It's a wonderful set and the dies have carried on into the new catalog come May!

Card Details:

Stamps: Spotlight on Nature (retired), Unbounded Beauty (sentiment retired)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Soft Seafoam, Garden Lane DSP (retired 2020)
Accessories: Unbounded Beauty Dies (retired), Textured Notes Dies (Online Exclusives), Blender Pen, Genial Gems (retired), Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I used my Blender Pen to pull some some ink into my images to make it look like shadows. I haven't done that in ages and truthfully, I wasn't even sure the Blender Pens were even still sold by Stampin Up!. When I first got into making cards that was the way I learned how to color images....with an ink pad & a Blender Pen.

Another pretty card for the bin!

Zinnia Birthday Cards

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Friends!

Another busy day ahead so I'm going to try to make this short & sweet!
If you have been following my blog for awhile now you know that my card lady, Audrey, is crazy over the Zinnia paper we had last year from the Stampin Up! Online Exclusives list. I purchased 2 packs of this paper because she was requesting cards at an alarming rate (LOL) for almost every occasion. Last time I visited her she requested another pack of birthday cards with the Flowering Zinnia paper! Lucky for her I still have a good bit left. I kept these very simple because that is how she likes them.

I will admit, this paper is very delightful!
The colors are fun & bright, guaranteed to make you smile!

Card Details:

Stamps: Unbounded Beauty
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic White, Flowering Zinnia's DSP (retired)
Accessories: Unbounded Beauty Dies, Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I still have a few sheets of this paper left that I am slowly working on using up. I feel like at times I am hoarding it because it is so pretty. I made another card with this suite of products recently that I will share tomorrow.  That is one thing Stampin Up! does...they always give us some beautiful floral papers!

A Day of Just Playing

Good Morning & Happy Monday, Friends!

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!
It went by so quickly as they usually do!

Saturday, I spend a few hours at my stamp table. I finished up Audrey's order and put it aside. Then I started on a bunch of other cards that I had stuff stamped off in a bin. I have been wanting to use them up. I am working my way thru that currently. Then around 3 pm Shawn came downstairs and asked if I wanted to go to a pool party? The invite was from a guy he works with.
Well, this girl has no swimsuit since losing 103 pounds and at this point I was horrified what I'd even look like in one. So, I agreed to go but I was not going swimming. We had a good time, so we were glad we went and made some new friends along the way!

Sunday, Mr. Shady arrived to stay with us a few days while Kelsey is on her mini vacation. I think he is a bit homesick and missing his mom but doing great! He loves to be out in the yard barking at the birds but it's just entirely too hot & humid to let him out there longer than 10 minutes at a time.
Today, Miss Bailee goes to get groomed so Mr. Shady will be here by himself all afternoon.

Ok, let's get to some cards shall we....

I was just playing around with some scraps of paper that was in my package. These went into my birthday bin that I've been working on. Guess I will be doing alot of card making during these hot summer days! I also got my July 4th cards created on Saturday so I'll be sharing those soon!
Anyways, hope your finding some crafty ways to stay cool during this heatwave! I feel like we went from cool spring weather right into an oppressive heatwave!
