Happy Easter!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Just returned home from Easter dinner at my parents house with all 3 of my kids there. Both of my brothers had other plans so it was just us! My Mom did up a big ham with all the fixin's. We ate till we could not eat another bite then played Wii Bowling a bit, ya know to work off that big Easter meal! LOL Then she had the tables cleaned off and dessert already cut and served. OH MY Lord, am I ever stuffed! It was a rainy, dreary day here so of course all anyone felt like doing was napping after all the food! We had a great time!

It was hard leaving the house today and letting Gigi at home by herself. My Mom's dog, Puddles, is a Yorkie and he is total holy terror. They will not allow any of us to ever bring our dogs to their house as long as Puddles is there for fear he'd rip our dogs apart. He really does have a mean streak in him. I think alot of it is attention and being spoiled but maybe also it's his house, his territory! So, we left sweet little Gigi home alone today. We worried she would tear the house apart since we left her home alone. This is the first time she has been home alone since we rescued her 4 weeks ago. I'm happy to report she did beautifully while alone! No messes, nothing chewed apart, no mini blinds yanked down and no potty messes. We were pleased with her and rewarded her with a big walk at the park in the rain because afterall she deserved it! She's such a wonderful addition to my family and i'm so happy we rescued her!

So, before I close I wanted to share a few Easter cards I made. I did not make many because time got away from me but I really wanted to use this new SU single stamp called "Ears to You"!

These bunnies are so fun! I also made a big basket full of Easter treats with these bunnies but I sold all of them and forgot to take a photo of them beforehand.

Well, that is all for me today!
I think I hear my bed calling me now.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with friends & family!
Thanks for stopping by!

Dynamic Duos Week #45

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I've not been in much of a stamping mood the last few days. Alot going on around the Aungst Pad. Today i'm getting ready to take Ryan to have another CT Scan done for his cancer stuff. Every 3 months we have to go thru this. He has to drink this barium stuff to clean him out. I feel for him and tried to reassure him that it'll be alright. Accidents happen. It's frustrating for him to get to the bathroom and then get out of his wheelchair "in time". I just pray his test results come back negative again!

Anyways, before I head out I wanted to share some Easter cards that I made quick for the Dynamic Duos Challenge #45. So here we go....

I embossed my bunnies on both colors of cardstock and used last week's Freshly Made Sketches #78 for my layout. I missed the boat on submitting this at over at the FMS blog but that's how it goes! LOL
I love these colors, so springy but they sure are hard to capture in a picture!

Dynamic Duos Challenge #45 Card:

Stamps: Ears To You, Delightful Dozen (sentiment)
Ink: Versamark, White Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Neenah White
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Heat Gun, Ribbon, Glue Dots, MS Doily Punch, White Pearls, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all I have time for today!
I'm going to take a bit of a break till next Monday. We are painting our living room this weekend and also having Easter Dinner at my parents Sunday. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter day with friends & family! I'll see you on Monday for Merry Monday!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Happy Easter!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #55

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

It's a snowy one here in PA on this Monday morning. I was hoping for rain but as I looked out this morning it is snowing like crazy. The calendar says it's spring but lately I have to question that. Our weather has not been springy at all and today they are calling anywhere from 3-6 inches of the white stuff. Gigi is surely not gonna like waking up to that!

Anyways, since it's Monday, that means it's time for another challenge from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. This week we are playing Tic Tac Toe!

With this one I went straight across the bottom and made a set of hanging tags for Christmas gifts.
I picked up this Santa stamp at Micheal's after Christmas on clearance and I finally got a chance to sit & ink it up. I love the look of this old vintage Santa and he was easy to color! Notice the gold trim around the white layer. I made that to look like a layer of gold cardstock but I used my Krylon Gold Leafing Pen to do it. My image was colored with Copic Markers and there is glitter added to Santa's hat and the white of his coat. I added one layer to my card base. I wanted to make these as just the card base but the Copic Marker ink came thru the other side so I had to layer it on to a card base.

Merry Monday Week # 55 Card:

Stamps: Santa by Stampendous, Winter Post (inside)
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Neenah White
Accessories: Krylon Gold Leafing Pen, Gold Cord, Gold Ribbon, Glue Pen, Glitter, 2 Sided Tape

I'm pretty happy with these tags and look forward to making more for this year's holiday craft show!

I'm suppose to be babysitting my little Dominic today but with snow falling i'm sure Amy's classes will be canceled. The hubby is also home. Usually when it's snows the boss allows him to work from home which is very nice of him. I wanted to make some homemade peanut butter eggs for Easter but to look out the window it surely does not look or feel much like Easter at all! Maybe I will make them another day this week and just do some stamping this afternoon. I haven't seen my stamp table since last Thursday and I sure do miss it!

Well, that is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Dynamic Duos Challenge #44

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I'm back & feeling better today so I headed down to my stamp table because I have been wanting to play along with the Dynamic Duos Challenge all week.

Here are the colors & my card....

I had my card in my mind all week but it was just a matter of feeling better to get it made.
I used the new All Dressed Up stamp set for this. I love the 2 different styles of dresses that the Framelits come in and have seen many prints done in them. This is the perfect bundle for that girlie girl in your life!

Dynamic Duos Challenge #44 Card:

Stamps: All Dressed Up
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, So Saffron, Neenah White, So Saffron DSP
Accessories: All Dressed Up Framelits, MS Border Punch, SU Square Lattice EF, Balck Grosgrain, White Pearls, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
I just realized The Young & the Restless isn't on so I guess i'm going to grab some lunch & go stamp some more. Lots of Christmas stuff waiting on me!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 418

Hello again!

After I got our supper cleaned up, dishes washed and gave the guys haircuts, I went down to my stamp room and made a card really quick for today's Color Challenge from over at SCS. I need a card for my younger brother's birthday on Friday. This challenge was perfect and even though I still have that major sinus headache, these colors sat on my mind all day!

Today's colors are:
Midnight Muse, Marina Mist & Baja Breeze

I pulled out an old SU set called Set Sail and embossed the image in white embossing powder. I put my image on a piece of Baja Breeze & Marina Mist cardstock and layered it on Midnight Muse. I also embossed my sentiment and cut it out with the Itty Bitty Framelits. My white panel is embossed with the Square Lattice EF, layerd on my Midnight Muse card base. Nothing fancy on this one....

Color Challenge 418 Card:

Stamps: Set Sail, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Versamark, White Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Neenah White, Baja Breeze, Marina Mist
Accessories: Itty Bitty Framelits, Square Lattice EF, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, time for more medicine and off to bed. I sure hope I feel better in the morning!
Thanks for stopping by!

Under the Weather...

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Not so happy here today. I woke with a terrible sinus headache this morning, took medicine and laid back down with the humidifer on. Not feeling any better and that sinus medicine just knocks me out. So, i'm taking the day off from doing any stamping but wanted to share this cute picture of Gigi to hold you over till I get back to stamping (and hopefully I will feel better tomorrow).

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Week # 54 & Gigi Pics

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Since it's Monday that means it's time for another challenge from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper! This week it is a theme.....take a look!

I went with a very simple card this week and left my designer paper do all the talking!
I've been inspired by one of my Merry Monday DT girls, Sherry. She uses this My Mind's Eye designer paper and it always looks so fun & festive! Thanks Sherry for your inspiration!

I have a huge pad of this designer paper so I really need to start using it! It has glitter on it which makes it even more festive and I adore the prints! I made a 5 pack of these for my craft show which will start in November and the nice thing about this card is.....it's very flat and mail friendly!

Merry Monday Week #54 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from Amuse, Inside- More Merry Messages (SU)
Ink: Lucky Limeade
Cardstock: Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, My Mind's Eye DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, Rhinestones, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you can stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Makers have created this week! Lots of cute "snowmen"! I also hope you can play along with us this week! It's nice having these cards made way in advance of the holiday season!

Well before I close for the day, I had a request for some pictures of the new little princess of the house, Gigi. So here you go!

Gigi & her Daddy...

Dominic & Gigi looking out the front door for Dom's Mom to come...
Such a cute picture!!

She is full of kisses!!

The 3 babies, Kelsey, Dominic & Gigi...
Priceless!

Kirsten & Kelsey with the 2 Jack Russell Puppies, Shady & Dawkins.
Those 2 puppies will lick your face clean....I kid you not! :)

We are expecting some snow/ice today so i'm going to be hitting up my stamp table today as I have a few projects that need to be finished up. Yesterday, we did not go to the movies, instead we went out for a nice quiet supper just the 2 of us. Kelsey is still under the weather...i'm thinking she has the flu! Time to break out the Clorox wipes & Lysol spray....because I don't think any of us want that! Hope she feels better soon!

Well, that's all for me folks!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the pictures of the doggies in my life!
They are just the cutest!! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Also a Top of the Mornin to ya!

I just crawled out of bed about an hour ago so it's still morning to me! LOL
It's been so gloomy and rainy here the last day or 2. It was a good morning to just stay in bed and not have to rush to get anything done!

It's also St Patrick's Day!
I'm not Irish but I think it's fun to celebrate the occasion! My house is decorated and last night we all wore our green for Game Night. I also made something for all the girls.....

You might remember that last month on Valentine's Day I purchased socks at Christmas Tree Shoppes and packaged them up in cello bags with decorated toppers for the girls. I also found some there for St Patrick's Day and of course, I had to do the same thing! My kids & I have always been the types that we wear special socks for the holidays. Kirsten wore her socks last night. I should have taken a picture of her outfit as she was in green from head to toe! I also wore mine last night. I packaged 4 pairs of these up for Kirsten, Kelsey, my sister in law, Melissa and my Mom. I used a bunch of stuff in my stash to decorate these. I put them in a medium SU Cello bag with a shiny gold coin. Everyone loved them!

St. Patrick's Day Socks:

Stamps: All Year Cheer Sentiment
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Neenah White, DSP from Recollections
Accessories: 3-D Stickers from Micheal's, Medium Cello Bags, Stapler, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, since it's a dreary day I hope to go down to my stamp table a bit then Shawn wants to go to the movies to see The Oz. I haven't heard any reviews on this movie so I hope it's good!

Have a great day, friends & thanks for stopping by!

Pokeno Container's

Hello & Happy Saturday!

What a rainy, cold & dreary day here in PA. It's the kind of weather where you just want to stay in bed all day with the blankets over your head! Just plain ole yukky outside!
We headed out about noon today to take Gigi for her walk. Last evening we did not take her because Kirsten & the Jack Russell puppies were here. That was a bit tense at first but after Shawn worked a bit with Shady & Dawkins, the 3 dogs got along pretty good! The pups are so hyper & aggressive. Shady snapped at Gigi quite a few times and a rumble broke out. Shawn got pretty aggressive with Shady to show him that he cannot be that way and after a little patience, the 3 pups did fine. Dawkins just loves Gigi and it was quite fun to watch them play! All is well until the next time the 3 of them are together!

So, after the walk today I came home and made a pan of Rice Krispy treats for Game Night tonight. Shawn & Gigi took a nice long nap (lucky them) and then I went downstairs to finish up these containers I made to keep our change in for Pokeno Night! They are Kraft Mayo containers, the big sized ones! I washed them and got to work on covering them. I LOVE making this kind of stuff!!!
Take a look....

The first one is Kirsten's. She asked for Zebra print paper to match the Acrylic Post It Note Holder I made her last summer. I didn't really know what to add other than alot of bling because she's young & likes the bling! LOL I spray painted the lid with Krylon Black Glossy Spray Paint. The lid is originally like a royal blue so I needed 3 coats to fully cover it. The sentiment I printed out on the printer and cut it out with the Stampin Up Apothecary Dies and mounted it with some Dimensionals. Added lots of different sized rhinestones, ribbon around the top and called it done. I think she will love this when I give it to her tonight!

The second one I made for my Mom. She asked for something in burgundy. I suppose this is her favorite color. I found some burgundy paper in my stash from K&Company and bought this gold trimmed burgundy ribbon at L&L Stamps last week. That ribbon is gorgeous and I think I need to go get more! LOL I made a triple bow with the ribbon and carefully taped it around the top of the container. I printed her sentiment out on the printer as well and cut it out with the Stampin Up Itty Bitty Framelits and popped them up with Dimensionals. She loves anything with pearls so I added lots of them! I stamped my flower with the Mixed Bunch set and punched it out with the Blossom Punch. I layered that with a burgundy flower under it. I put a gold trimmed pearl in the center for interest. I spray painted the lid here too with some Krylon Gold Metallic Spray Paint. They turned out fantastic and it's a shame my pictures don't give them justice! I'm sure she will love her container too and if not, i'm keeping it for myself! LOL

Well, if I missed anything in my details please shoot me an email.
I'm off to get my bag ready and head out the door for Game Night!
Gigi will be home taking care of Kelsey this evening. She has come down with the stomach bug and is feeling horrible. I hope she feels better tomorrow and I hope we don't pick it up! Yuk!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!

St. Patrick's Day Treats

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone had a great day!
I had a chance to spend the afternoon at my stamp table and got some cool things made! One of which is these cute little wrappers with a baggie that holds 6 Andes Mints. They always make me think of the Olive Garden because they give them to you after your meal. They are the best mints, ever!

I made these for our Game Night that will be on Saturday night at my parents house. They wanted to have it on Sunday which is St. Patrick's Day but Ryan wanted to be home to watch NASCAR so we voted for Saturday Night. I'm sure they will love these little mints!
The mints are in a small jewelry sized ziplock bag. The outside is like a match pack with an oval window in the front to see the mints.

St. Patrick's Day Mints:

Stamps: St. Patrick's Day (last year SU single stamp), All Year Cheer
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Neenah White, Garden Green, DSP from Recollections
Accessories: Oval Nestibilties, Decorative Label Punch, Shamrock Stickers, Rhinestone. Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all I have for today!
Going to finish watching American Idol & Glee then head to bed.
Tomorrow is Dominic Day but it's also Friday!! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!

Merry Monday Week #53

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another challenge from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper.
This week it is a Sketch Challenge!

Here we go!

Marina Mist is probably my favorite Stampin Up color so I went with some Letter's to Santa DSP to make this. My sentiment was already stamped out so I just punched it with my Wide Oval Punch and layered it with Marina Mist cardstock. My panel was embossed with the SU Snow Burst EF which is my most favorite and most used embossing folder! I added 2 different snowflakes where the star is located in the sketch. Had to add a touch of sparkle with the rhinestones and called it done! I love how simple & easy this sketch is! Hope you can swing by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Makers have created this week and play along! Before you know it you will have a nice stack all ready for Christmas!

Merry Monday Week #53 Card:

Stamps: Word Play
Ink: Marina Mist

Sketch Challenge 426

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

It was a snow day here in PA but we did not get the snow they were calling for because the temps just were not that cold. Our weather ended around supper time with plain ole rain. We got about 6 inches but alot has since melted....
Shawn took a snow day today because we were expecting the worst. Since he was home he took the dog to the Vet early and Gigi had her check up. She was given a good bill of health with the small exception of an ear infection and a skin rash. Vet was super nice and gave us meds to help clear both up. He did estimate her being about 5 years old. Since she is from South Carolina, today is the first we believe she ever saw snow. She wasn't real keen on it and spent most of the day lying on the back of the couch looking out the window. Her new favorite spot!

So, since everyone was home today it took me till after supper to make my way downstairs to stamp. I seen the sketch challenge and knew what I wanted to do!

I made this for Gigi's foster mom to thank her for everything with our adoption of her.

Sketch Challenge 426 Card:

Stamp: unknown Dog Stamp, Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Neenah White, Basic Black DSP Stack, Melon Mambo
Accessories: Dog Paw EF, Dog Paw Border Punch from EK Success, Circle Nestibilities, MS Bow Punch, Word Window Punch, Rhinestones

I think Kristin will love it!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a good one!

Color Challenge 416

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Wow, what a beautiful day here in south central PA but tomorrow will be a whole other story as we have a blizzard on the way! This will be the biggest snow we've had so far this year and i'm excited! At the moment they are calling for 6-10 inches in my area but that could change. We are close to the PA/Maryland border and that is where they are saying the heaviest snow will be. Bring it!!

Since it was gorgeous today I hated to go down to the stamp room but I did because I wanted to get some more cards made for the card rack. I hopped over to SCS to see what today's colors are for Color Challenge 416.

Here they are:
Bashful Blue, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals

Very pretty colors to go with such a gorgeous day!
My stamp girls were here last Friday night and they cleared off my card rack so I decided to use these pretty colors for a Sympathy card. This set, Field Flowers, is probably one of my favorite sets and makes such pretty flowers!

Color Challenge 416 Card:

Stamps: Field Flowers, Sentiment from Hero Arts
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Memento Black
Cardstock: Primrose Petals, Bashful Blue, Raspberry Ripple, Neenah White
Accessories: Lacey Brocade & Fancy Fan EF, Stamp A Ma Jig, Circle Clip, Raspberry Ripple Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

As I type this I have a very attached doggy lying on my side which is making this a tad bit tough but we wouldn't have it any other way! Today is day 3 of having a new doggie in the house but Gigi is doing beautifully! She has adjusted well to my family and loves to go on walks! She looks so much like our Fluffy, just a minature version. She has a different personality though. So playful & spunky! She makes us smile!!! Tomorrow she goes to see the Vet for a check up and we think she has an ear infection that needs checked. All in all she's doing wonderful!!

Well, that is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday #52

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone is doing well and had a great weekend!
I took some time off last week from stamping. Things were just busy around here!
We also adopted a dog on Saturday!
I know, I know.....I said i'd never have another dog but how can you ever say no to this cute little face?

Shawn belongs to a websight called Operation Paws for Homes and he found this sweet little dog on there last Tuesday. Something in me could not let it alone. Regina, as she was named, looked SO much like my Fluffy and there were so many signs that seemed right.
Saturday, we headed south to Virginia and met the dog. It was love at first sight and I was not leaving Virginia without her! The dog's foster mom said she was a "diamond in the rough" and such a fabulous little girl. She was right! The foster mom nicknamed her "Gigi" and we thought it fit her and decided to keep the name! This poor little girl was well taken care of from her previous owners but no one knows how she became a stray. At some point she also had puppies. So heartbreaking!
Animal Control found her in South Carolina somewhere and took her to a shelter where she received medical care and cleaned her up some. She was found dirty & very matted. She has flea bites and some skin issues right now but it looks as if things are healing. I'm concerned about her because she is terribly thin and so boney. God love her, she has such a good heart and is so loveable! Her teeth are beautiful, her eyes are clear & bright and she is housebroken. They think she is about 6 years old but we all think (even the foster mom) she is younger. She is a spunky little thing and oh so sweet! Since bringing her home Saturday evening she checked out her new surroundings, ate, slept with Shawn & I and then had a bath to help her feel better. We took her to the park for walk & also a trip to the pet store. She's an amazing dog and I just love her!

So, ok I know your all here to see my Merry Monday card so here goes!

This week is a color challenge and I knew exactly what I wanted to do!
I left my designer paper do all the talking on this!
I added my sentiment, gold pearls and some gold trimmed ribbon and called it done.
Hope you like!

Merry Mondays Week #52 Card:

Stamps: PSX Sentiment
Ink: Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Deck the Halls DSP
Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities, Gold Pearls, Gold Trimmed Ribbon, Hot Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for now!
Hope you will stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Makers have created this week! They are beautiful works of art!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
