Jar of Joy Snowman

Happy Sunday, Friends!

Hope your having a nice weekend!
Yesterday seemed like a blur to me. I honestly did not do a thing yesterday other than a quick walk in the afternoon. Ryan spent most of the day sleeping as he had a migraine. I had the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies on most of the day and found myself dozing off a couple of times. Went to bed quite early last evening (around 8-8:30) and as soon as I started to drift off someone in the neighborhood started shooting off some really loud fireworks. Grr! Sure would be nice if they made fireworks that did not make any loud booms!

So, since I have Christmas in July on my mind I am sharing a fun card made with the newly released Jar of Joy set from the Stampin Up Online Exclusives list. Such a fun little set that coordinates with the Sweet Jar bundle that was released a few months back on the Online Exclusives.

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Joy (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Pool Party, Versamark, Stampin Blends-Pool Party
Cardstock: Real Red, Pool Party, Basic White, Sweetest Christmas DSP (retired)
Accessories: Sweet Jar Builder Punch, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Snowflake Sky 3D EF, Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, Adhesive Backed Peppermints, Pool Party Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

This was so fun! I am anxious to see what our 2025 Holiday Mini Catalog is going to offer this year. I'm hoping for a pretty poinsettia set!

Humble Home Congratulations!

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Friends!

I had my blog started a bit earlier this morning and then poof, our power went out!
After about 90 minutes it came back on which gave me enough time to shower and clean up the back porch from the overnight storms we had. It had stormed most of the night which woke me up maybe twice with a few cracks of thunder but boy, did it ever rain!

Today I wanted to show you a card I made using the Humble Home set that came out last year in the 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. This card is a "Congratulations on your New Home"!

Card Details:

Stamps: Humble Home, School Days (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Shy Shamrock (In Color), Versamark
Cardstock: Shy Shamrock (In Color), Strawberry Slush (In Color), Basic White, On The Go DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Tasteful Textiles 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Humble Home Builder Punch, Classic Label Punch (retired), Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, Shy Shamrock Shimmer Gems (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I thought this card was super fun with those pretty colors!
The DSP with the different types of keys on was the perfect addition for this new home card!
I just love it!

Well, I have a busy day ahead as long as the power stays on! I know that may be asking alot since we are in for more storms today. Fingers crossed!!!

Simply Zinnia

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Simply Zinnia bundle that was out last year on the Online Exclusives list. This card went into my bin of extra's that will eventually get put onto my card rack.

Card Details:

Stamps: Simply Zinnia (retired Online Exclusives)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Versamark
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lolly, Basic White, Flowering Zinna DSP (retired Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Zinnia 3D EF (retired Online Exclusives), Simply Zinnia Dies (retired Online Exclusives), Impressions Abloom Dies, Lemon Lolly Ribbon (retired), Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins (retired), Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, Glue Dots, Dimensionals. Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I decided to emboss my flower image instead of coloring it because I am not good at coloring flowers. I do like how it turned out! It was fun pulling this bundle out again and playing with it. One of these days I will brave it and just color the flowers! LOL

Hot Dog, It's Your Birthday!

 Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Another dreary day is on tap as well as the humidity is on the rise. It's very foggy looking out the window this morning with not much change happening today.

Last evening I had my 4 month check up for my diabetes. All went great! I have lost well over 100 pounds (103.3 pds to be exact) in 16 month, have gone off my blood pressure medicine and cut back on my thyroid medication. I did start a low dose cholesterol medication back in February since I am diabetic and heart disease is a huge factor in diabetics. I feel really good and walk everyday if not twice a day! I have learned so much in the last 16 months on getting healthy and have conquered one big goal...which was to get 100 pounds off. I had blood work done last evening to check my sugars, cholesterol, thyroid and kidney function. Afterwards I treated myself to Thai food! It was so worth the wait! 😋

Today I have a cute birthday card to share with you!
I have been pulling out lots of the older, retired stuff and making cards with it then putting these cards in a bin for when my card rack gets emptied. I used the set called Hot Dog which has the cutest doggies in! I paired this set with some Rock & Roll paper which is also retired.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hot Dog (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Versamark, Stampin Blends- Smoky Slate & Starry Sky (retired In Color)
Cardstock: Starry Sky (retired), Basic White, Rock & Roll DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Starry Sky In Color Twine (retired), White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Perfect card for that dog loving person!

I am headed down to play at my stamp table a bit this afternoon. I need to get working on a few July 4th cards because that occasion will be here before we know it. I also have a card order to start for Audrey eventually. She really keeps me busy!

Fright Night Awaits

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!!

The weekend is here although they are saying more rainy weather all weekend but not a total washout. I am hoping to do some stamping but we'll see.

Before I get into today's post I wanted to share that I recently celebrated my 5th year anniversary with Stampin Up!. This is my 3rd go around as being a demonstrator with Stampin Up! and the longest I've ever stayed in it. I love Stampin Up! as I have quite the collection of rubber stamps from 2001 on. Lots of wood mounted, red rubber & photopolymer stamps....I love them all!
I use to say that I was my biggest customer but I can't say that anymore as I have some pretty terrific customers who order each & every month. I would not be where I am today without their friendship & support...so a huge Thank You to each of them!

Ok, now on to some fun stuff!!

I recently received my stamp order from the Online Exclusives preorder. They had a variety of holidays available this early in the year and of course, Halloween always excites me! I played with the 1st bundle called Fright Night.

Card Details:

Stamps: Fright Night (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Petunia Pop, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Spooky Sweet DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Fright Night Dies (Online Exclusives), Black Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Shimmer Foam Star Stickers (Online Exclusives), Petunia Pop Iridescent Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Dimensionals, Stampin Seal

I am really happy that Stampin Up! gave us some pretty Halloween papers this year! YAY! The colors and prints and adorable! They also gave us Iridescent Cello Bags for treats, too! They will be so fun to decorate for Halloween sweets & treats this upcoming season! I'm so excited to play more with all the cool things they gave us so stay tuned for that as it gets closer to the Fall season!

One More Year

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Friends!

It's been a very busy last few days and since we have a rainy day upon us I am taking it easy today! We did so much yard work over the weekend and every muscle in our body hurts just to even walk. It's tough when you use muscles you didn't know you had! LOL Thru it all we've still been getting our steps in with walking each day!

Today I wanted to share a card I was playing around with last week. As I was patiently waiting on my Stampin Up! order to arrive (the first order from the new catalog) I started playing with the NEW In Colors for 2025-2027. The new colors are, Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger. If you've been around Stampin Up for a number of years you may remember that Strawberry Slush was an In Color back in 2013-2015. It has made it's way back in to our color palette this year! It's a pretty color of pink and one that was much welcomed in my opinion. I do love that Stampin Up! is bringing back retired colors. I still have so many colors, inks & cardstocks in my stash from way back in 2001 and was thrilled that last year they brought back Pretty in Pink again! Anyways, here's a card that I was picking at one day last week using our new In Colors and I paired it with the now retired One More Year stamp set from the 2025 Spring Mini Catalog.

Card Details:

Stamps: One More Year (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Pumpkin Pie, Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, Strawberry Slush, Versamark
Cardstock: Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Basic White, Darling Duckling, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger
Accessories: Dotted Circles 3D EF, Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, White Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Cloud Cover In Color Flat Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was inspired by a card that Ange McKay created with using the In Color cardstocks & the Dotted Circles 3D EF for that background panel. I loved how her card turned out & had to give it a try! It's quite colorful!

Well, I need to get my day started even though I was up at 4am.
Breakfast is calling and so is my stamp table!

New Years Cards

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday but as cold as it is it will most likely be sticking around awhile.
Today I want to share with you a set of cards I made for on the card rack for New Years.

Card Details:

Stamps: Throughout the Year (retired), Light the Sky (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Basic Black Archival (retired), Versamark
Cardstock: Brushed Gold Card & Envelopes, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper, Patterned Paper from Michael's
Accessories: Tailored Made Tags Dies (retired), Festive Pearls (retired), Gold Trim, Gold EP, Heat Gun, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sadly, the new year came and went and these cards are still sitting on my card rack.
I may send them out even though we are almost a week into it. I don't think anyone would mind. Hope your new year is off to a great start!

Celebrate the Miracle

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's a rainy morning here in Pennsylvania and we are up early after a late night up watching football. Our team played on the west coast for Monday Night Football and usually when they play that late we watch the first quarter or 2 them head to bed. Since Shawn is on vacation this week we were able to stay up but it was tough. With a lack of sleep this morning we are happy that our team won!

Today I have a card to share that I made with a stamp set that is on the Online Exclusives list called Celebrate the Miracle. I never made a card for Hanukkah and I purchased this set about a year ago so I needed to ink it up. I put a spot on my card rack for Hanukkah just incase one of my card customers needed a card for this occasion.

Card Details:

Stamps: Celebrate the Miracle (Online Exclusives), A Wish For Everything (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Versamark, Gold Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Boho Blue, Basic White
Accessories: Distressed Tiles 3D EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Heat Gun, Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I forgot all about making this card but yesterday when were out shopping I was reminded when I seen a huge selection of Hanukkah items in a store. The Hallmark Channel also plays Hanukkah movies every year with some great stories behind them!
Speaking of the stores....yesterday when we were out shopping you would have thought is was Black Friday, the stores were packed and the lines at the registers were long! I think from today thru the Christmas season the only store I will be going to is the grocery store. Hobby Lobby was the worst with only 3 registers open and lines running back throughout the store. We waited in line longer than it took to shop and it was just too people-ly for me.

Anyways, today I am gonna make my deviled eggs & pumpkin pie for our Thanksgiving and get that off my to do list. Ryan specifically asked for deviled eggs and how can I say no, we all love them! Do you have a favorite thing you like with your Thanksgiving meal?

Peace Joy & Love

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Another hot day is on tap....I am hoping we get some rain ASAP because our drought is getting worse by the day!
Today I have a busy day ahead so i'm going to get right to my card.
Saturday Shawn went fishing in the Juanita River with a friend. While he was gone I made some time at my stamp table to play. Since Hallmark is showing Christmas in July movies I was inspired to make more Christmas cards. I pulled out a retired set called Dove of Hope and paired it with paper from last year.

Card Details:

Stamps: Dove of Hope (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Versamark
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Paper, Shining Brightly Specialty Paper (retired)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Vanilla/Gold Ribbon (retired), Festive Pearls (retired), Glue Dots, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I'm not usually one to do heat embossing but I do love doing it for Christmas cards because I love the shine it adds to a project! I stamped my sentiment inside and packed them away with matching envelopes. I hope in a few days to get back to making more sets to put away for the holidays while I have the time to do so.

Merriest Trees Set

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a set of holiday cards to share with you made using the Merriest Trees Bundle. This bundle came out last year in the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog and has carried over into the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog which I am happy about! I paired it up with some carried over Winter Meadow DSP from last year as well.

Card Details:

Stamps: Merriest Trees, More Wishes
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Silver Foil Paper, Winter Meadow DSP
Accessories: Merriest Trees Dies, Winter Snow EF (retired), Silver & White Sheer Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems, Stampin Seal

Since it is Christmas in July I am working ahead on making some holiday cards while I have the time. Plus it gives me a chance to use retired stuff before the rush of new holiday things come. I'm not sure how much I will get this year since I already love what I already have! Once we hit the Fall season I get overwhelmed with the 3 holidays right in a row and making some of these cards up ahead of time keeps me from getting too stressed out. I promise, all of July will not be holiday cards like I have done in previous years. Not sure my hands can handle that anymore!

Today Kelsey & Shady are coming over since tonight Red Lion puts on their fireworks display. We have a clear view from the front porch which is nice! I am making deviled eggs as per Ryan's request today! Yum!

Queen Bee HB Set

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!!

The weekend is here and today & tomorrow our weather is looking mighty nice!
Today is shot day so I usually don't make any plans on the weekends because i'm not sure how I will feel from it but so far the last several weeks I have felt great! I have to get bloodwork done first thing tomorrow morning then maybe we can get out and do something fun!
I worked on Audrey's card order yesterday and still have 4 cards to make for her which I may try to do Sunday since they said we may get some showers. The last 4 are cards that really have me stumped on what to make. I guess I need to think about it and decide soon!

I have a pack of cards to share today that I had a blast making because I did some heat embossing on them! I don't usually pull out my heat gun and embossing powders much except at Christmastime. The cards I made I used the Queen Bee set on. The stamp set is still available on the Online Exclusives List but the dies retired, sadly! Sometimes I just don't understand why Stampin Up! does that. I am not crazy on fussy cutting so the dies would be an important part of the stamp set! Anyways, this is the set I made...

Card Details:

Stamps: Queen Bee (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Versamark, Sweet Sorbet (retired)
Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Old Olive, Lovely in Linen DSP (retired)
Accessories: Queen Bee Dies (retired), Countryside Corners Dies, Pale Papaya Ribbon (retired), Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Gold Sequins, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love these and may just keep them for my own personal use!
