Under My Umbrella

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your week is going well and your staying busy!
We all could use a distraction from what is going on in the world.
I have been glued to the tv since this whole Coronavirus thing broke and i'm finding that it is driving my anxiety level thru the roof, which is not at all good for my psoriasis.

I have been stamping & making cards quite a bit (to distract me from the tv) and last week I decided to send one out to my dear friend, Deb.
I used a new set from the Stampin Up! January - June 2020 Catalog called Under My Umbrella.
It also has a coordinating punch.

Over the years Stampin Up! has had several umbrella sets and i've never purchased any.
This one comes with some really cute sentiments and a pair of boots!
And even though I am so tired of all the rain we've had this winter, i'm still thankful it was rain & not snow!
The patterned paper is from the SaleABration Coordination products that were available this year.
So many pretty prints and those raindrops and umbrella's were apart of it!
The sentiment on my card is perfect for what I wanted it to say to my dear friend.
We've been friends since 1994 when we moved in beside her and became neighbors.
Thru the years we've sold that house beside her and moved to Joplin, Missouri then moved back to Pennsylvania again, she has become a very, very dear friend and has always been there for my family & me, No Matter the Weather!

Card Details:

Stamps: Under My Umbrella
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Pleased As Punch DSP (SAB Coordination)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Umbrella Builder Punch, Daffodil Delight Organdy Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm happy to be able to share this card now that I know she has received it!
If you have any cards laying around, send them out to a friend or family member and let them know your thinking of them since we are all under the social distancing thing.
It is sure to brighten someones day!

Timeless Tulip HB Set

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today was suppose to be my cleaning day but I decided to put it off until tomorrow.
Shawn surprised me yesterday with getting the bedroom painted!
We busted butt to get it done and now are totally exhausted!
I swear I am getting too old for this stuff!
Anyways, i'm glad it's done and the furniture is all moved back in.
Pictures and a wood shelf will get hung back up next weekend as I want to give the walls a chance to dry well. That being said...I hurt from top to bottom as I feel like it was a marathon to get it done in a few hours. I think today calls for my heating pad and taking it easy!

I have a set of cards to share with you that I made last Thursday in another kind of marathon! LOL
My card lady calls Thursday morning asking for a pack of spring related Happy Birthday cards.
I rushed to get these done so I could deliver them to her on Friday.
BTW, there was no seeing each other face to face as I dropped them off on her porch and left.
Who knew social distancing could be so hard!

Again I used the Timeless Tulips set for these...

These were really quick to create as the Stitched Rectangle diecuts were already done and the punches just make life easier!

I just love this Timeless Tulip set!

Card Details:

Stamps: Timeless Tulips
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Whisper White, Pleased As Punch DSP (SAB Coordinations)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Tulip Builder Punch, Highland Heather Organdy Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Positive Thoughts

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Not much happening here today.
The weather is still gray & gloomy outside.
They say we might get some sunshine today but we'll see.

I have a set of cards to share today using the Positive Thoughts stamp set that is in the January-June Mini Catalog. It caught my eye from the first time I seen it but once they brought out coordinating dies for it....it was a done deal!

The color of my cardbase is Seaside Spray which is an In Color for 2019-2021.
I used this color back at Christmastime to make a snowman card for a Stamp Day w Friends.
It turned out so cute and the girls all loved it!
At first I thought about using Rococo Rose which is also a new In Color but in the end Seaside Spray won out! I love the softness it adds to my card...

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray
Cardstock: Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Brick & Mortar EF, Stitched Nested Dies, Nature's Thoughts Dies (SAB Coordination 2020), Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made these up for my card lady and she will get these in her next order.
I'm know she will love these!

Gift Bag & Card

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today was suppose to be the day Shawn & I were to get our bedroom painted but once again work calls...He's been up all night and finally went in to work.
As I type this he is still there!
Doesn't this company get the fact that this kind of stuff will burn a person out?!
Anyways, it's a rainy, dreary day so i'm not sure what I will get into today.
Yesterday was a beautiful day and I got out to grab some groceries at Sam's Club and pick up our medicines at the drugstore.
The Governor of Pennsylvania placed a Shelter in Place order against us in here York County last evening so I am home to stay for another week.
I did check on Kelsey yesterday to make sure she was alright and gave her a few things that she needed. She's been without a paycheck now for 2 weeks and I know she's getting stressed. I helped her with some food until her unemployment kicks in. The restaurant that her & Corey work at has now closed until this crisis is over. They were doing take out orders only but this past week they stopped since many folks are staying home and heeding the warnings.

Today I have another Gift Bag that I made for my card orders and also while the same pack of paper was out on my table, I made another Mother's Day card for my stash.

Gift Bag & Matching Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!
Another rainy day is on tap here!
I'm headed to my stamp room this afternoon to finish up a few projects!
Have you been stamping, too?

Today I have a gift bag & a matching card to share!
I made these on 2 different days not intending them to be used together.
The bag I planned to use for card orders and my card to use for Mother's Day.
Once I decorated the bag I decided to use the layout to create a card with the same papers.
Yep, i'm still working hard on using up the old stash!

Gift Bag Details:

Stamps: Abstract Impressions
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey (retired), Whisper White, English Garden DSP (retired)
Accessories: Small Gift Bags (Dollar Tree), Circle Layering Framelits, Doilies (retired), Rhinestones, Hello Honey Satin Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Card Details:

Stamps: All Year Cheer 2 (retired)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey (retired), Whisper White, English Garden DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Doilies (retired), Rhinestones, Hello Honey Satin Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was never crazy about the Mossy Meadow polka dot print that was in the English Garden DSP pack that was available a few years ago but then I paired it with another print from the same package and suddenly I love the look of them together!
I will need to remember that when matching up other DSP prints!

Daisy Lane

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all keeping busy and practicing social distancing!
The spread just keeps getting higher here in Pennsylvania!
Scary thing to be dealing with but if we all do our part and stay at home we can beat it!
I have been doing alot of stamping and working ahead on cards.
Today I may even start working on some card kits for a Stamp Day w Friends once our social distancing ends.

I have an order for my card lady that will soon get delivered.
I will place them at her door and say hello from a distance.
She is 89 years old and in no way do I want to put her in jeopardy with catching this virus!
She always invites Shawn & I in to visit with her and gives lots of hugs.
Won't be doing that this time around to keep her safe!

She asked for a set of cards that had no sentiment on.
Daisy Lane to the rescue!

I love the tone on tone colors on the cardbase and the daisies.
Nothing is popped up so these will be very mail friendly!
The layers of daisies are glued together and I added a Gold Glittered Enamel Dot to the centers.
These are also flat.

Card Details:

Stamps: Daisy Lane
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Gold Glittered Enamel Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love Stampin Up's Daisy sets! (Daisy Delight & Daisy Lane)
Very easy to use and they create some pretty cards!
I hope my card lady will enjoy these!

Happy Mother's Day

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Today we are in for a rainy day!
It's quite cold & raw feeling outside this morning.
I also heard there could be snow mixed in with the rain but it's not to amount to anything.

I do have a pretty card to share that I made for Mother's Day.
I recently bought a retired Stampin Up refill for one of my older ink pads and along with it came this pretty sheet of Poppy paper. It is Stampin Up but i'm not sure of the name of it.
Love the colors in it...

Everything is pretty much retired except for that lovely piece of DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: All Year Cheer 2 (retired)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, SU DSP
Accessories: Nestibilities Lacy Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Loopy Bow (retired ribbon from stash), Rhinestone, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really loved that piece of DSP and thought about getting the entire pack but in all honesty, I have SO much paper in my stamp room, i'm sure I can find something to make more beautiful Mother's Day cards! I think that is what I will be playing around with today!
Stay tuned!

Everything Is Rosy

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going well and your keeping yourself busy during these times of social distancing. It seems odd for us not to jump in the car and go running around.
Yesterday I stamped once I had supper done and today I will probably do the same.
What are you doing to keep yourself busy during these scary times that we are sheltering in place??

I have a set of cards to share that I finished up yesterday made with the Everything Is Rosy set.
I love the prints in this paper and collected a bunch of scraps so I trimmed them to the size I needed and built my card around them.

I've come to love this style of card since it showcases those pretty paper prints and it helps all of us crafters use up those small scraps!

Card Details:

Stamps: Everything is Rosy (retired), Good Morning Magnolia (sentiment)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Everything is Rosy DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Melon Mambo Ruched Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These will be headed to my card lady as she loves to have Thinking of You cards on hand for when she runs out of birthday or sympathy cards.

Decorated Gift Bags

Hello & Happy Saturday!

My hubby is working today which I was not real happy about since he's been working long days all this past week. We were going to paint our bedroom until they threw the monkey wrench into that plan. Guess it will wait until next weekend.
Since he is working I am going to make a pot of chili for supper and head off to my stamp table to play awhile.

Today I am sharing gift bags that I decorated for card orders.
I was working ahead last month when I knew we were going to be pretty busy with painting and I will say that having these bags already decorated, I can just grab one and fill it up with cards when I get a card order. My card lady just called me this week asking for cards so I was prepared!

Bag #1 Details:

Stamps: Painted Petals (retired)
Ink: Rose Red (retired)
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Rose Red (retired), Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Doilies (retired), Blackberry Bliss Satin Ribbon (retired), Faceted Dots (Blackberry Bliss) (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Bag #2 Details:

Stamps: Waterfront (sentiment)
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Best Year Ever DSP (SAB '15 retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Doilies (retired), Crushed Curry Satin Ribbon (retired), Crushed Curry Enamel Hearts (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Both bags use all retired papers, stamps & embellishments.
I made a bunch of these so I will share the rest soon.

These are small gift bags that I picked up at Dollar Tree, 3 for $1.00!
These are a great way to use up paper in your stash and make someone smile when you hand them a pretty decorated gift bag!

Love Is Kindness

Hello & Happy Friday!

Hope your all holding up thru the social distancing thing!
Last evening we headed to a local store for some groceries and the store was crazy!
Everyone was very friendly but the shelves were just about empty.
It's kinda sad because no one has ever experienced anything like this before.
As of last evening there are 185 people in Pennsylvania that have been confirmed with Covid 19.
The Governor is asking for more places to close so we can get the spread under control.

So, I stamped a bit yesterday without throwing anything away!
I pulled out some old stuff and just started to play...

Do you remember this Love Is Kindness stamp?
It had a different saying attached to it that I trimmed off carefully.
I was in the mood to color although I can't say the same for my hands!
My sentiment is from the retired Circle of Spring set.
The paper is from SaleABration 2015 called Best Year Ever.

Card Details:

Stamps: Love Is Kindness (retired), Circle of Spring (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends - Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Pool Party, Whisper White, Best Year Ever DSP (retired SAB 15)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Pool Party Twine, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have so much in retired stuff and it always feels great to use a bit more of it up!
So break out those retired stamps, ink & paper and make something beautiful!
