Happy Halloween!

Hello & Happy Halloween!

As promised i'm sharing the last of my Halloween goodies today so here we go!

I cased this card from an a cute card that I seen a few years back from Jessie Rone.  I changed up some of the layers and used different stamps for my card.

Then I made a few more candy bags for my Dad. He likes to give these out to some of his friends.
I made these up the other day in a pinch so they are nothing spectacular.

I used a different variety of stamps and papers for all this. I don't have a list of everything so if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email.

Well, that is all for me today!
It's going to be an afternoon of stamping and then we are headed to Deb & Ed's for our annual get together to hand out Halloween candy! Hopefully the rain holds off!
Happy Trick or Treat, everyone!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #80

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Ours was quite crazy! It started off calmly then Saturday morning our daughters Jack Russell got lose from her yard. We searched and searched, nothing. Contacted the local police, SPCA and area Vets, nothing. We posted on Facebook and finally last evening we got a call that someone had the dog and the whole weekend Shady was only 1 block away from his home! We worried he would be cold, tired & hungry but he was fed, warm and safe! I'm thankful that it ended on a happy note because as we approached the 2nd day we started to worry that he was gone forever.

Then yesterday we went to Virginia and we adopted a second puppy from the same foster mom that we got Gigi from. I don't have a picture to share at the moment as things have been quite hectic. Gigi sure is not thrilled with having another dog in the house and the new dog is very intimidated by Gigi. I hope this will stop as they get use to one another because Virginia is a long ride to take her back. Our new dog is a 2 year old Shih tzu/Yorkie mix. She was with her family for 2 years then taken to the shelter when her family had to move and couldn't take her with them. She is a lovable little thing and wants so much to be friends with Gigi. Her previous name was Bailey and once the rescue got her they renamed her to Zsa Zsa. We liked that name but now it's a bit tongue tangling when calling for her. We think we might change it back to Bailey but spell it Bailee. So we'll see how things go!

So anyways, today Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper has a new challenge for us this week! It's a fun one & I hope you can play along!

Here we go!

I was a bit stumped on this one so I took a trip to L&L Stamps over in Ephrata, PA. As soon as I stepped foot in the store this stamp literally jumped out at me. I looked at it a few minutes & stewed over and then thought it would be perfect for today's challenge.

The stamp is from Stampendous and I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with it but I knew I need to keep it simple.
I stamped my image in Handsome Hunter and layered it onto some Brushed Gold Cardstock. I added a piece of gold shear ribbon and tied a bow and placed it on my Handsome Hunter card base. Added 3 gold beads and called it done! I think it's quite pretty!

Merry Monday Week #80 Card:

Stamps: Stampendous
Ink: Handsome Hunter
Cardstock: Handsome Hunter, Brushed Gold, Neenah White
Accessories: Gold Shear Ribbon, Gold Beads, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for me today!
Another busy day ahead with getting some housework accomplished.
I hope you can swing by Lesley's blog to see what the others have created this week. Lots of cool idea's!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great Monday!

PS. I promise one day this week to have a picture of our new addition!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #79

Hello & Happy Monday!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

It's time for another fun challenge from Lesley over at Always Playing With Paper.

I pulled out a scrap piece of paper that has snowflakes on it that I had for awhile. It also had the colors in it that I needed. I layered that on some retired Ballet Blue cardstock. Then I added a piece of Ribbon and punched out a snowflake from some Silver Glimmer Paper. In my stash I had some Ballet Blue buttons so I tied that on to my snowflake with some white baker's twine. My sentiment is from a retired All Year Cheer set. I stamped that in Ballet Blue, layered that on some Ballet Blue cardstock along with a row of silver beads. Popped up my sentiment and called it done. It probably took about 20 minutes to whip up and i'm happy with it!

Merry Monday Week #79 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from All Year Cheer
Ink: Ballet Blue
Cardstock: Ballet Blue, Neenah White, The Paper Studio DSP, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Snowflake Punch (retired), Ballet Blue Grosgrain & Button, White Baker's Twine, Silver Beads, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you can stop by Lesley's blog and see what the other Merry Maker's have created this week! I also hope you can play along with us! Would love to see what you create!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Halloween Spooky Banner

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Yesterday was the Heirloom Stamp Show in York and most people know that follow my blog that my stamp girls & I attend this event every year. We shopped & talked to friends that we seen there then around noon we headed to our friend Nan's house to make those awesome Halloween banner that Stampin Up has in the Holiday Mini Catalog. She prepared a lunch for us then we got to work on our banners. We had a choice to make just the Halloween or the Halloween & Christmas one too. Most chose to make both. We had fun talking & laughing while working on them. The banners are fun to make but a bit time consuming. I got mine started and brought them home to finish. I hung it above my tv in the living room so everyone can see it. Isn't it cute? I think it is!

A huge Thank You to Nan for having us over to make these & for a wonderful lunch with friends! I had a blast! :)

Here is my Halloween Banner.

I was hoping to do my Christmas one but today I sat & watched football with the hubby then took Gigi for a long walk at the park. Hopefully one day this week I can get it finished. I'll share on here when I do!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

More Halloween Treats!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was World Card Making Day! I sat and stamped for a bit in the afternoon making some Halloween Treats that my Aunt Kass asked me to make for her 10 grandchildren. Since they are religious I went with something a little less scary and more fall. She wanted Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins and that's what I made for her.

I dropped them off at my Mom's this evening and she loved them! I'm sure my Aunt will love them as well!

Sketch Challenge 456

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I checked out the Sketch Challenge today over at SCS and played along!

Here is the sketch and my card:

I immediately thought to use this retired set, Autumn Days. I have always loved the images in this set!
Since the leaves are falling off my trees in the backyard, I pulled out the leaf stamp and a sentiment from my drawer and got to work. I stamped my leaves in Ruby Red, More Mustard & Always Artichoke. Cut them out with Square Nesties then stamped my sentiment in Soft Suede and cut out. I popped each square up with dimensionals. My DSP panel is from the Autumn Traditions DSP pack from a few years ago. I layered it on some Elegant Eggplant cardstock that I punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I added a bow and called it done. I'm pleased with the outcome!

Sketch Challenge 456 Card:

Stamps: Autumn Days, Sentiment from Impression Obsession
Ink: More Mustard, Ruby Red, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Suede
