Happy Birthday Box & Card

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
It's dreary & rainy here as it's been most of this past week with more rain coming half of this coming week. I won't complain since we really need it. I am happy to report though that my lilac bush is in bloom and smelling so good! It's only taken 4 years for it to get more than one bloom!

So, I had a chance to sneak off to my craft room Friday and play a bit. I made this little Happy Birthday card & box as a treat for a dear friend. Her birthday was last Monday. Yes, i'm a bit late.

My card is a 3 X 3 so it will fit inside the box.

The box is made from these Gift Card Enclosures that happen to be retired. I've had these for a year or so and totally forgot I had them till I cleaned a drawer out and found them. I took one and with my Simply Score Board I scored on 3 of the half moon panels at 1/2 in  from the original scored line and that creates the box. I adhered it and then added my belly band and decorated it. I think there pretty neat all decorated.

In my box I added a pack of this birthday cake sugar free gum that I found at the store. I will add something else before I give it to the birthday girl next weekend. I always try to make alittle something for her. Happy Belated Birthday, Emily!!

Happy Birthday Card & Box:

Stamps: Party Pants SAB '16
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, It's My Party DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Balloon Punch, White Baker's Twine, Mint Macaron Lace Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Liquid Tombow

Before I close I want to give an update on my hubby and his progress.
He had a doctor appointment this past Tuesday. All is healing nicely and he is bothered with the heal which is normal for this type of procedure.  He is to continue walking as much as he can tolerate it and when resting he is to keep his foot elevated and iced but swelling hasn't been too much of an issue. This coming week the stitches will come out and it could be a few more weeks before he can return to work but so far so good!

That is all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Gift Bag Punch Board

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I recently had a request from my customer for some Mother's Day treats so I decided to whip some up with the Gift Bag Punch Board. I love that board but i'm still learning how to use it for different sized bags. This is what I made for her request.

I made a matching card to go with the treat bag using Blushing Bride & Soft Suede cardstocks, English Garden DSP, Petite Petals and a sentiment from Hero Arts. I filled my gift bag with Hershey Kisses.

Mother's Day Card & Gift Bag:

Stamps: Petite Petals, Hero Arts Sentiment
Ink: Soft Suede, Blushing Bride
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Whisper White, English Garden DSP
Accessories: Retired Blushing Bride Ribbon, Small White Pearls, Crop A Dile, Corner Rounder Punch, Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities, Petite Petals Punch, Dimensionals, Liquid Tombow

Hope you like!
I love the colors and that pretty paper!

Mother's Day Cards

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Yesterday I finally found some time to break away and go down to my stamp room to play a bit. With Shawn being home it's been busy. He's been doing pretty good with his foot and walking on it. His incisions look very good but I know the one bothers him when he walks on it. Tuesday he goes for a check up.

So I made these cards up for the next upcoming holiday, Mother's Day. I decided to use up some retired paper since I seem to have so much of it.

My sentiment comes from a retired All Year Cheer set from years ago. I like the font on this. I punched my circle out and added my VERY loved butterfly. On the butterfly I added 3 pearls. Two very quick & easy cards that I will add to my card rack for anyone who needs a Mother's Day card.

Mother's Day Cards:

Stamps: All Year Cheer (not sure which one)
Ink: Rose Red
Cardstock: Rose Red, Painted Blooms DSP (retired)
Accessories: Bold Butterflies Framelits, White Pearls, Circle Punch, Tombow Liquid

That's all I have for today!
It's going to be a nice day here so I decided to strip my beds, wash everything up and hang it outside to dry! Nothing beats crawling into bed with fresh smelling sheets!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Thank You Gift

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today is day 2 of hubby being home.
He is so bored being home on medical leave. Yesterday he did some walking to keep weight on his foot and pushed thru his pain. He hasn't taken any pain meds since Monday night. Today we can remove the bandages and clean his foot up then he can start walking with his own shoes on instead of the boot. Dr also told him he could drive if he was up to it. I'm not sure he will just yet but maybe until next week.

So today I wanted to share a Thank You gift I made for my BFF Deb. Since I do not drive she graciously took Shawn to his foot surgery on Monday. We were so thankful that she was able to rearrange her schedule to do this for him. She is also a stamper and the one responsible for getting me hooked! Haha! Thanks Deb!!!

I purchased the huge pack of It's My Party DSP to share with her since there is ALOT of paper in this pack. I knew I would never use it all so I split the pack in half with her and got her a SaleABration set that I knew she did not have. I wrapped some Bermuda Bay Striped Grosgrain Ribbon around the paper and tried to tie a nice big bow then tucked the stamp set in it.

Inside the Kraft Chevron Bag I placed a pack of the Baker's Twine Combo Pack that goes beautifully with the It's My Party DSP. Also in the bag is a pack of the Metallic Glitter Washi Tape that was a SaleABration item. That tape is wonderful and I think she will use it for Christmas cards this year!

I taped the bag shut and wrapped some Bermuda Bay 1/8 Stitched Ribbon around it and added a tag from a retired Tag A Bag sets. I stamped my sentiment from One Big Meaning and did some layering then a piece of Glimmer Paper that was attached with dimensionals to the striped tag.

I was so happy with it!
Shawn also gave her a Thank You Card to express how thankful he was for her help!
We certainly were blessed with good friends!!!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Sunburst Cards & Update

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have just a very quick update then I need to get moving.

I recently borrowed my friends Sunburst Thinlit Die and at that point I realized we needed the matching stamp set to go with it! So I jumped online and ordered it. This is what I made with it so far but for now since I probably won't be stamping too much with hubby home, I left my friend borrow the stamp set to go with her Thinlit. I did not think i'd like it but I really do!

Sunburst Card Set:

Stamps: Sunburst Sayings
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, Hello Honey, Basic Black, Gold Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Sunburst Thinlit, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

So Shawn had his surgery bright & early yesterday!
All went well except for the hour or so wait at CVS just to get his pain medication filled. I was less than amused with that place! I may even switch my meds over to another place after that fiasco!! Anyways, his surgery was less than 40 mins to do a Plantar Fasciotomy. The surgical place did a wonderful job and he was on his way shortly after. Everyone was very friendly and so helpful. His pain level today isn't bad and he's so far not had any pain meds. He's up walking on his foot but not over doing it. The swelling has come down. Tomorrow I can take the bandages off and clean up his foot and place bandaids on the incisions then he will not have to put the foot brace back on but instead have to wear his shoes with the inserts in. No barefoot!! He will return to see the doctor next Tuesday and the following week have the stitches out.  He's quite pleased and hopes this takes care of the pain he's had for months in his feet. Now to find something to occupy his time while being off is another story! He looks bored already! Haha! He is talking about going fishing next week as long as the weather stays nice. Yesterday we hit 80 degrees!

Just wanted to say a huge Thank You for all the prayers and well wishes for Shawn.
We so appreciate your kindness!

That's all I have for today!
Thank you for stopping by & have a great day!

A Card Set & My Doggies

Hello & Happy Sunday!

What a beauty of day here in PA! Our weather could not be more perfect!
Hubby is out washing his car before it will be garage bound for a few weeks and I have the windows open airing the house out. Just love it, sunny & 70's...my kind of weather!

Before the day gets away from me I wanted to share a pack of cancer cards I made for an order last week. This is actually the 2nd pack of them I made in the last several months. I made them in different colors pertaining to the different types of cancers.

Last year at the Heirloom Stamp Show I picked up this embossing folder from Darice and i'm glad that it's finally getting used! On these cards I added a rhinestone in the color of the cancer. Just enough to give it some sparkle and we all love sparkle!

Cancer Card Set:

Stamps: Sweet Essentials (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Taken w Teal, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Darice EF., Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Yesterday we took the doggies out for a walk. Here is a picture.

Gigi & Bailee were both out of breath after that 2 mile walk. We found a place close to home to walk them without having to worry about cars & traffic. It's the York Heritage Rail Trail. This runs from York County clear down to Maryland. It's a beautiful, peaceful walk and the girls loved it! Going to take them out again this evening. Today will be the last for a few weeks to get out & walk since tomorrow morning bright & early is Shawn's surgery. If you would, could you please say a quick prayer for him in hopes that all goes well tomorrow. I know he's nervous but ready to get it overwith and heal so he can get back out to walking & hiking. He's been doing so well and has lost 20 pds in the last 2 months. It's been a bit harder for me as I do love my soda & sweets but nonetheless I have been enjoying the walks with him and losing some pds too but not as quickly as him. Men have it so much easier don't they!

So, i'm not sure if i'll be updating tomorrow but I will be back on Tuesday for sure with an update on Shawn, so till then....

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Colorful Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us!
Lots to do for us this weekend before Shawn's surgery on Monday.

Before life gets too crazy I wanted to share this set of cards I made.
Again I used the Collar Fold except what I noticed on my cards is that I don't fold over my tails the whole way to the end of the DSP. Mine are just small fold backs. I sorta like it that way...

My customer wanted something with colorful flowers and with no saying.
I looked thru so many sheets of DSP till I came upon this paper from the Gingham Garden DSP. It fits the bill of being colorful, don't ya think?

I stamped my flowers in Melon Mambo and popped them up with a dimensional and added a rhinestone. Audrey loves the sparkle of a rhinestone! Needless to say, she was a VERY happy customer when I delivered her goodies!

Colorful Card Set:

Stamps: Flower Shop
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham Garden DSP
Accessories: Pansy Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

Time to get busy!

Masculine HB

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Another cold day here in south central PA! Our weather has been crazy with very windy conditions, thunderstorms and now today it's snowing!! Yes, you read that right! They are predicting up to 3 inches and it's to snow most of the day. With any luck it will just lay on the trees and grassy area's and not the streets. They say this will be our onion snow (which means the last of the season). Warmer and more spring temperatures are to come this coming week, hopefully!

So, today I am sharing a masculine birthday card I made for my customer, Audrey. She requested a birthday card for her son. I really wasn't sure which direction to go in since I do not know him personally and she gave me no hints on anything about him. So, I found a small piece of this plaid paper from the Adventure Bound DSP Pad from last spring. It's the perfect paper for a man's card. I decided I was going to pull out this scenery stamp from Stampscapes that I have had for many years and it just stamps perfectly!

Here is the card...

Since I only found a small piece of this paper I decided to make a Z Fold type of card.
I delivered her card order and Audrey just loved this card! I don't think I have ever seen her that excited! She continued to tell me that her son owns a log cabin in the woods and that this card was perfect for him. Well, that just made my day!

I think I need to go on a hunt for more of this paper. Sadly, I am almost out.

Happy Birthday Masculine Card:

Stamps: Stampscapes, Express Yourself (retired hostess)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Adventure Bound DSP Pad
Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Early Espresso Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Breast Cancer Cards

Hello & Happy Friday!

I whipped up a few cards for my customer, Audrey. Her daughter is battling breast cancer and is in the midst of radiation treatments. Her niece has been diagnosed with breast cancer just last week. My thoughts & prayers are with them both.

Anyways, she requested a few cards to send out to them...something special to keep their minds positive and know they are loved.

Breast Cancer Cards:

Stamps: 1st Card: Hope Is...
2nd Card: Hope
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Pink Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

I think these turned out very nice! I'm sure Audrey will love them too!

That's all for today!

Create A Cupcake Card Set

Hello & Happy Thursday!

My customer in which I refer to as the "Cupcake Bandit" is requesting another set of, you guessed it, Cupcake Cards! Lucky for her that I have quite a collection of cupcake stamps that I gotten over the years! This set here I used my Create A Cupcake set that I feel like I don't use very often.

I paired up my cupcake with some VERY colorful Washi Tape from the Cherry on Top line. I stamped my cupcake liner with Watermelon Wonder and the icing in Crushed Curry with Bermuda Bay sprinkles. Punched them out with the Cupcake Builder Punch and added a rhinestone for interest. My customer loves all the sparkle & shine the rhinestones give! I did 5 rows of Washi Tape and layered that piece on some Cucumber Crush cardstock. Then I attached it all onto a Whisper White cardbase. She did not want any sentiments or sayings added which for me was hard to leave blank but I do love the POP of color! Who knew Washi Tape was so fun & easy to use!

Create A Cupcake Card Set:

Stamps: Create A Cupcake
Ink: Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cucumber Crush
Accessories: Cupcake Builder Punch, Cherry on Top Washi Tape, Rhinestones, Tombow Liquid

Friends & Flowers Wedding Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

It has been feeling like winter returned the last couple of days! Yikes! We even had a shot at some snow but thankfully it turned out to just be rain for us! I really hope my flowers aren't too bothered with this cold snap because it's to last clear into the weekend.

Anyways, I had a chance to sit and play with my Friends & Flowers set. I'm so glad I jumped on board and ordered that set! It coordinates with the Festive Flower Punch from the Holiday Mini. It really makes the prettiest flowers!

My customer has a wedding coming up and asked if I could create a wedding card for it. I love the colors in the English Garden DSP and then thought to make a pretty flower with the Friends & Flowers stamp set. Just when I thought the Reason for the Season set made beautiful poinsettia's....WOW, this set makes some gorgeous flowers as well! I was totally blown away when my card was done. The sentiment comes from the Suite Sayings set that is also in the Occasions Mini. I added just 3 white pearls for elegance and fluffed up my petals before calling it done! So pretty, don't ya think??

I also think the sentiment makes the card! Just perfect for a wedding!

Friends & Flowers Card:

Stamps: Friends & Flowers, Suite Sayings
Ink: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Old Olive
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Whisper White, English Garden DSP
Accessories: Festive Flower Punch, Wide Oval Punch, White Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid
