Waves of Inspiration

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

We are starting off the weekend on a hot & humid note! I don't know about you but I am ready for some cooler weather! I know it won't be too much longer as the start of Fall is alittle over a month away.

Yesterday I had my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together!
It's always nice to see my friends, chat and make some cards together.
Today's card is one that we made using the retired Waves of Inspiration bundle from 2022. I always try to use this set and get a summertime card made. Deb loves anything beachy so this one was right up her alley!

Card Details:

Stamps: Waves of Inspiration (retired)
Ink: Pacific Point (retired), Balmy Blue, Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Pacific Point (retired), Basic White, Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired)
Accessories: Waves Dies (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Snowflake Splendor Ribbon (retired), Waves Rhinestones (retired), Sponge Dauber, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I still have a good bit of this paper left but i'm slowly working to get it used up.
Maybe next summer I will try harder to get more cards made with it. The patterns and colors are so pretty!

I know most everything on this card is retired but when the girls come over to make cards they do not mind that I use things that are long gone. They do not buy the stamps & papers like my Stampin Up! customers do. They just love to get together to create and have some fun adult socialization and that works for me!

Hey Friend, Happy Birthday!

Good Morning & Happy Saturday, Friends!

I know it's been a minute since I last posted. Life has been life-ing for sure!
I have so much that I want to share on here so I am going to try to get better about posting.
Last month was Christmas in July and I spent so much time making cards for almost every occasion under the sun. Lots of Christmas cards, too! I have been on a mission to use up what I have and truthfully it does not look like I even put a dent in my stash of papers! LOL
So, today I am going to start off my blog post with wishing our good friends, Deb & Ed and very Happy Anniversary! I actually had a card on the card rack that I pulled off and got mailed to them earlier this week and I'm happy to say that it arrived in time for their special day!

Today I have a fun fold card to share that we made in July at a Stamp Day w/ Friends get together! We had a blast with this one! This card is a book binding explosion card. They are such fun cards to create and really give that WOW effect when you open it. I know Deb loves anything beachy so I decided to use the now retired Ocean Friends bundle that was available in the 2025 Spring Mini Catalog. This is what we made...

Card Details:

Stamps: Ocean Friends (retired), Happiest Day (retired), Friendly Seagulls (SAB 25)
Ink: Calypso Coral, Summer Splash, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Summer Splash, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Friends of the Ocean DSP (retired)
Accessories: Ocean Friends Dies, White/Silver Sheer Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This came together pretty quickly for the girls since I had most of it already prepared. They just had to do the stamping and adhering it together.
I love the colors & prints in this package of paper as they are fresh & fun and perfect for a summertime card.

So here we are in August already! It is soon time for another Stamp Day w/ Friends get together which I have been working on some card kits for the girls. In the midst of crafting my hands off, my Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine broke. So now I am at the mercy of UPS and waiting on them to delivery my new machine! I hope it won't be too much longer!

I will share the next card we made at Stamp Day tomorrow so be sure to stop back, ok?

Card #5 Sea Turtle

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have card #5 from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together to share with you!
This one was everyone's favorite but boy did the girls get really inky making it!
I kept with the beachy/ocean theme to create this and used Sea Turtle for a fun birthday card!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sea Turtle, Seaside View (retired), Biggest Wish (inside)
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Seabed 3D EF (retired), Waves Rhinestones (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

When I started to design this card I wasn't sure which direction to go. It basically all started with the Waves of the Ocean DSP. It just seemed to work well with the turtles.

Card #4 Circle Sayings HB

 Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Another hot & very humid day is on tap here in the north east. I have been keeping myself occupied by pulling out a puzzle and putting it together. I have not done one since Kelsey moved back home last Fall and I had nothing better to do. I also wanted to give my hands a bit of a break. I have 3/4 of it done and hope to finish it today. I will share a picture tomorrow. Since it is Christmas in July I pulled out a Christmas puzzle. The last few months I have been picking them up at Goodwill and always hope all the pieces are there. So far so good! After I am done with a puzzle I package it up in a Ziplock bag and ship them off to my friend, Deb.

So today I have card #4 to share with you from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
The theme was beachy/ocean and this card was made using the Circle Sayings stamp set which is a Million Dollar Achiever Set created when a demo reaches a million dollar in sales. This one is created by Jessica Taylor.

The inside says Happy Birthday!

Card Details:

Stamps: Circle Sayings (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Memento Black, Crumb Cake, Stampin Blends-Daffodil Delight & Lost Lagoon
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Basic White
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Linen Thread, Tinsel Gems (Lost Lagoon), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That is all for me today!
I am going to get back to working on my puzzle so I can hopefully wrap it up today.
I'll see you tomorrow!

Card #2 Beachy HB

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was such a fun day stamping with the girls. Today I am sharing card #2 that we made. I tried to keep these cards quick & simple and on this card I had most of the work prepped ahead of time. All they had to do was stamp and adhere the card together.

I have a whole pack of the By The Bay Specialty DSP from the 2023 January-April Mini Catalog and Deb loves anything beachy so I had to use this paper on a card! I paired it with the retired Seashells 3D EF. I love the added texture that this EF adds to my card. The sentiment comes from the Go To Greetings stamp set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Go To Greetings (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron (retired), By The Bay Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Seashells 3D EF (retired), Waves Rhinestones (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That is all for now!
Stop back tomorrow to see card #3 from our beach/ocean themed card making day!

Card #1 Pink Waves

 Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

Today is my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together!
The card I am sharing is one that we will make today. It uses the Waves of Inspiration Bundle. The theme for my Stamp Day is all things related to the Beach/Ocean!

I bet your wondering where I came up with the pink wave?
When this suite of products came out over a year ago it had a package of DSP that had this particular print in it. I went looking on the back on the pack for the colors related to the paper and found that Petal Pink & Calypso Coral were in it. I stamped my wave in Petal Pink ink and added some Calypso Coral ink to my rubber with a Sponge Dauber. And that is how my pink wave came to be. I love the softness of the colors and left the paper and the stamps do all the work on this one. I hope the girls will like this!

Card Details:

Stamps: Waves of Inspiration, Charming Sentiments (inside)
Ink: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Basic White, Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Sponge Daubers, Gold Swirls (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I better get ready...busy day ahead!

My thoughts today...

The beach particularly Ocean City, MD will always hold a special place in my heart. I went there as a little girl with my family and feel like every summer that was my home. I have lots of fond memories from there. Long gone are the days we spent there with my parents, my brothers, my husband and my kids. Crabbing, fishing, boat rides, arcades and walking the boardwalk. Some of the best times of my life. I haven't been there in several years and one day I hope to go back.

That is all for me today!

Shortcut Card Sketch #2

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Miss Bailee is off to Doggy Day Spa this morning....she needs the works!
The guys are getting haircuts today, too!
After that my day is open!
Yesterday I watched my usual Friday Facebook Live and played along afterwards using the Shortcut Card Sketch #2.
Here is the sketch:

I printed each of sketches off to use again when I am in a ditch with designing. I keep them in a page protector and then in a big binder.

And here is my card made with the sketch...

Card Details:

Stamps: Season of Chic
Ink: Petal Pink, Mint Macaron (retired), Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Mint Macaron (retired), Basic White, By The Bay Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Decorative Circle Punch, Chic Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Exposed Brick 3D EF, Linen Thread, Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I am pleased with how this turned out and the only thing popped up is my Mint Macaron shell. Hope you like it, too!

Sunny Splash Meets Watercolor Shapes

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
Our weather has been nice but a bit on the windy side. I'm hoping for another day of nice sunshine to keep me motivated to get my house cleaning done. I got most of it done yesterday and just have a little bit left.
Today I have a fun card to share that I made on Friday when it got so hot out. I wanted to play with the retired Sunny Splash set since I did not use it much while it was available. Then I had a piece of cardstock on my shelf that I stamped with the Watercolor Shapes that just recently retired as well and paired the 2 together. I had the Watercolor Shapes set for a few months and only ever played around with it using different colors but never applied it to a card. Finally I was able to use it on a card....a fun, colorful card at that!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sunny Splash (retired), Watercolor Shapes (retired)
Ink: Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party
Cardstock: Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Basic White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Scalloped Contour Dies, Parakeet Party Ombre Matte Dots, Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon, Glue Dots. Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I can see this card being done with lots of other bright fun colors, too!

By The Bay Father's Day

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

This week flew by so quick for a change. Today I have a pretty cool card to share that I made for Father's Day using the By The Bay Bundle. I know Father's Day is coming pretty fast so I knew I had to buckle down and start getting some cards made for on the card rack. The kids will be shopping soon for their cards so that was my thought process on this card. Shawn likes anything to do with the beach, ocean, fishing and his #1 love of cars! On this card I decided to use the crab and the sandpipers from the stamp set.

I started with a cardbase of Night of Navy then a layer of Balmy Blue and a piece of By The Bay DSP. I stamped the crab on Basic White cardstock as well as the saying on the tag. I diecut the crab using the By The Bay Dies and the saying with the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I also cut a second tag out with Mint Macaron cardstock to layer under the other tag. I added a Night of Navy bow to my tag once I had them layered and adhere on to my card. I popped up the crab with a dimensional. I felt like the bottom of the card looked bare so I took the 3 little sandpipers and stamped them along the bottom of the card in Night of Navy ink. I know the one is hard to see. I finished this off with a few little Adhesive Backed Milky Dots. On the inside I stamped the crab beside the inside saying. I thought it looked pretty cool. This was the first time I played with this set and I really hope to play more with it now that summer has arrived!

Card Details:

Stamps: By The Bay, He's All That (saying)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Mint Macaron (retired), Basie White, Balmy Blue, By The Bay DSP (retired)
Accessories: By The Bay Dies, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Night of Navy Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Milky Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stay tuned for more Father's Day/Masculine cards coming in the next couple of weeks. I got Audrey's card order finished and delivered to her so I will have the next few weeks to myself to stamp for fun. Oh and by the way....she loved the Baby & Wildflowers baby shower card as well as the Pink Teapot & Roses Bridal Shower card!! She was so thrilled with them and that made me happy!

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Got my doctor appointment over and done for another 6 months.

I haven't stamped in a few days so I am looking forward to some time to myself. I have a really pretty card to share with you using the Season Of Chic stamp set. I have been trying to work ahead on making Thank You cards to send to my customers.

Card Details:

Stamps: Season Of Chic
Ink: Petal Pink, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Petal Pink, Basic White, Textured Chic DSP
Accessories: Chic Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Gold Swirls (retired), Gold Twine (retired),Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sea Turtle HB

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday!
We had a nice day especially with some gorgeous sunshine and slightly mild temps. I sat out on the back porch while Shawn was mowing and watched Bailee & Shady play in the yard. The sunshine certainly helps put a spring in the dogs step as well. I think Shady gets a bit depressed over the winter months with lack of sun, warmth and daylight and this kind of weather he loves! We had supper around 5 and just as we were finished Kelsey's day at the restaurant was done so she was able to get home and eat before we cleaned up. Then I watched a wonderful, heartfelt movie on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel called The Blessings Bracelet. It was so good & definitely made you think about all the blessings we have in our lives! If you have a chance to watch it, please do so!

Today it's back to work for Shawn and I am off to a slow start this morning. My hands for some reason are really bothersome. My plan is to put away all my Easter decorations and tidy up the storage room. I hope in a few months that Kelsey gets her own place so my storage room won't be so cluttered. Right before she moved home we did a good cleanout down there and took a truckload to the dump to get rid of stuff that we no longer used. It looked so good for about half a second until all her stuff got loaded in.

The card I want to share today is made from a pretty cool stamp set. Sadly, there are no dies so I had to revert to fussy cutting and you know how much I don't like to fussy cut! I used a set from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog called Sea Turtle. It's absolutely adorable!

This set is called a Reversable because it's a photopolymer set which means you can see thru the clear rubber but you can stamp with both sides of the stamp. One side has a fuller image and the other side has all the details. It's a little confusing but did not take long to figure it out. I love all things beachy since we went to the beach all the time. I have a large collection of all things beachy that I will always hang on too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sea Turtle, Sending Smiles (sentiment)
Ink: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Basic White, By The Bay Specialty DSP
Accessories: Seashells 3D EF, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Night of Navy Ribbon, Linen Thread, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I am so pleased with this card and cannot wait to play some more with this stamp set!
Over the summer I usually do a set of beachy cards for a Stamp Day and I will be using this set for one of those cards! I think the girls will love it, too!

Lighthouse Point Bundle

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your enjoying your weekend!
It was really nice here but the winds were beyond crazy!
I'm sorry for the late update....things got away from me today!

Here is the card I made with the Lighthouse Point stamp set and coordinating Lighthouse Dies.

I hope later this week to sit down and play with this set a bit more!

Card Details:

Stamps: Lighthouse Point, Happy & Heartfelt
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Basic White, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired)
Accessories: Lighthouse Dies, Dine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made this for on my card rack. It's something different for a Father's Day card.
Shawn always likes lighthouse cards so who knows....maybe next year one of the kids will give it to him!
