Stylish Christmas

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

Today is the last day of my Christmas in July series!
My last pack of cards is made with fairly new stamps, ink & paper.
You will notice it as soon as you see it....

Stylish Christmas!!

I think this one was my most loved stamp set last Christmas!
I just love those pretty poinsettia flowers and how whimsical they are!
My paper is from the retired pack of Under the Mistletoe.
I have used up almost the entire package of it!
I loved every single print in it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas (retired)
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Under the Mistletoe DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were very fun to make and I know my customer loves poinsettia's on her holiday cards!
I think she is really going to love the different variety I have for her this year!

I'm sad that today ends my Christmas in July cards but I promise to continue using & sharing more of these beautiful older stamp sets and the cards I create with them!
I hope I have inspired you to pull out those older stamps and create something new with them!
I found this to be so enjoyable!

Gift Card Holders

Hello & Happy Saturday!

The last few days I have been resting my hands.
I know I have carpal tunnel in both hands but I am also starting to get joint pain in my fingers which is probably a sign that I am developing Psoriatic Arthritis in them. Since I have already been diagnosed with Psoriasis it's more than likely the start of it.
My customer called me yesterday and left me a message asking for more cards.
As much as I hate to say no....I really think I need to take a break from crafting so I can let my hands rest. I will get back to my stamping eventually but right now I need to lay low.
I 'm sure she will understand.

Anyways, today my hubby & I are going to head out for a couple quick errands.
Traffic has been crazy so I try to stay put at home as much as possible.
Football is on primetime this evening and of course we will be rooting for our Baltimore Ravens! Woot Woot!

Today I am going to share all 11 gift card holders that my customer requested for Christmas.
I made them all different using a variety of stamps, papers & ink!
Check them out....

This is a template that I got from Splitcoaststampers years ago and this is how I always make my gift cards! They are SO easy...nothing difficult about it! Well, sometimes decorating it is the toughest part! LOL

I made a bunch more for Ryan & myself for Christmas.
I said I was not buying gifts this year...so it's money & gift cards!
That makes life easier for everyone!

I will share those gift cards in a few days!

Stylish Christmas Card Set

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
They go by so fast!

Today is my cleaning day so before I get busy I want to share another pack of cards that were on that huge order.
I used the sketch from 2 weeks ago from over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
If you remember I used the Stylish Christmas set and made some pretty red poinsettia's on those cards with a bit of plaid paper. Someone mentioned to try those flowers in blue or purple. I had to give that a try so I pulled out the Balmy Blue ink pad and got to work!

I was going for a different look and not the traditional red & green for Christmas.
I offered to take them home if she did not like them and get her something different and she would not hear of it!  She loved them!

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas
Ink: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Memento Black
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Balmy Blue DSP
Accessories: Small White Pearls, White 1/8 Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

What do you think of them?

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday was a very busy day!
I got a bunch of stuff created at my stamp table and whipped up a homemade Chicken Pie for supper. Nothing better on a very cold & windy day!

As I sat down at my stamp table to create, I was having a senior moment as to where to start.
I looked on my desktop and there was this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch to the rescue!

Here is their sketch and my sample....

This card had taken many different turns until I found what I liked!
My customer needs about 12 packs of Christmas cards this year...
I will be making Christmas cards until the cows come home, I think! LOL
Stylish Christmas is a new set this year. It is in the SU Annual Catty.
I love the look of it. It is one of those Distinktive sets.

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas, More Merry Messages (retired sentiment)
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Memento Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Under the Mistletoe DSP
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Red Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I may try to make another set using this pretty poinsettia and some different colors!
They are so festive for this time of year!
Hope you liked my card!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Going to be a beautiful Fall day and I think I can probably speak for most people here in PA...
BRING IT ON!!!!

Ryan has been doing pretty good now that he is on medicine and watching what he eats.
I am hoping this will continue.

Today I have a card to share that I made with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.

Here is the sketch and my card samples....

The inside...

I added some dark red rhinestones that were in my stash.

Card Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Stamparatus, Dark Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I did some more fussy cutting on that beautiful flower!

Stylish Christmas

Hello & Happy Friday!

Another very humid day is upon here in PA today.
I'm sure i'm not alone in saying that i'm so looking forward to Fall weather!

Stampin Up unveiled their Holiday Mini Catalog on August 1st to demonstrators only.
There is so many cool things in it!
It will be available to customers on September 5th.
This catalog has put me in a mood to create some Christmas cards.
I used the Stylish Christmas set that is in the annual catalog.

This set is a Distinktive set which means it has a more realistic look to it.
There are several of these in the annual catalog.

Card Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas
Ink: Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Versamark
Cardstock: Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Gold EP, Heat Gun, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So what do you think of this set?
I will say that it is one of my favorites and I like the look of how it stamps!
Just one piece of advice....do not use a very juicy inkpad with it.
The image won't stamp very nice.

Stylish Christmas

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A beautiful day is on tap here and i'm so glad to be able to open the windows and let the fresh air in!
Better yet, sleeping with the windows open tonight with temps in the 50's! That is music to my ears!

Today I have a pretty Christmas card to share with you!
I made another Double Easel Card with a Distinktive stamp set called Stylish Christmas.
It is on page 101 of the Stampin Up Annual Catalog.

I must be sick or something because I actually fussy cut the poinsettia and leaves out for this card!
Twice within a week that I fussy cut and that my friends, hardly ever happens! LOL
This set being another one of those Distinktive stamp sets gives that realistic 3D look that I am really digging! I cannot wait to play a bit more with this set!

Card Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Under the Mistletoe DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Old Olive 1/8 Ribbon, Glue Dot, White Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card is also a Double Easel Card that I got the tutorial from Patty Bennett.
Here is the link to make the Double Easel Card.
I promise you they are easy peasy to make!
