We Must Celebrate

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today the heat starts here...blah!
90 degree days with high humidity are not some of my favorite things and this weather will be hanging around atleast for the next week. Guess that means I will be in hibernation until a cool down comes. We popped out last evening and got groceries so I think I am prepared for the long haul. Only good thing to come from it is I will most likely get some craft time in or a really clean house! Haha!

Today I have a card to share that I made for on my card rack.
My slot for "kids birthdays" is really lacking. I do not have much in stamps for the younger kids so I thought I better step it up! On this card I used the retired We Must Celebrate stamp set from the 2018 Occasions Mini Catalog.

Aren't those little critters cute?
I had this idea saved on my computer so I did a semi case of it and changed things up some.
I finally used my Stampin Blends that I have had for about a month now. The new Stampin Blends became available yesterday if anyone is interested in ordering them! I have been waiting ever so patiently for them and I got my order in quickly when I heard they were finally available!

Card Details:

Stamps: We Must Celebrate
Ink: Memento Black, Bermuda Bay, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Bubbles & Fizz DSP (retired SAB 18)
Accessories: 3/4 Circle Punch, Hexagon Punch (flag end) (retired), Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Glue Dot, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is the first time I inked up those critters since I had this set.
I know, better late than never, right?

Healing Hugs

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday was just a dark & dreary day here in PA.
It was almost dark with those heavy dark clouds and we had hardly no rain but that humidity really jumped up. I worked most of the day in my stamp room. I replaced the bags that hold my cards on my card rack with cello bags and labeled each one with the Label Maker. It makes it much nicer now to look for specific cards.

I did create a card yesterday with my NEW Healing Hugs set.
It arrived on Monday and I was dying to make a card with it.
I seen a video that Patty Bennett did that she used Sponge Daubers and I had to try it!

I inked up my rose in Mango Melody and took my Sponge Dauber and hit the Melon Mambo pad  for some ink. I took the Sponge Dauber directly on the rubber with the Mango Melody ink still on it and pounced it on the edge and in the center. It really makes it look more realistic doesn't it?
I am going to have to do more of these once I get more Sponge Daubers. Only had a couple in my stash from a few years ago. I also did the same on the leaves. They were stamped with Granny Apple Green and Sponge Daubered with Shaded Spruce. Such a cool technique to bring more color to your stamp! Give it a try....I know your going to love it, too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs
Ink: Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Whisper White
Accessories: Melon Mambo Enamel Dots, Sponge Daubers, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This stamp set is in the NEW line of stamps from Stampin Up called Distinktive which gives the images a more 3D look. I think it's pretty neat!

Wedding Day

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope you week is going smoothly!
Today I am sharing a quick wedding card I made for on my card rack.
Again, I am using this beautiful Sweet Soiree Specialty Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog that just has the right images on it and lots of Silver Foil Paper.

I did some heat embossing with Silver Embossing Powder to go with the silver in the paper.
I also added some Silver Metallic Enamel Dots to the sentiment.

Card Projects:

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Powder Pink, Whisper White, Silver Foil Paper, Sweet Soiree Specialty Paper
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think as fast as I make these for my card rack my one customer buys them up!
Especially the wedding cards!

My thoughts today....

A cloudy, rainy day is in the forecast for today.
We are in for a heatwave starting Friday straight thru the July 4th holiday.
Blah, blah, blah!
I am not a fan of the heat & humidity at all!
I will be hibernating! How will you stay cool??

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Wood Crates

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope you are all having a nice week so far!
Yesterday & today our weather has been gorgeous!
We had a rather busy day yesterday with doctor appointments then we took the bikes out!
I enjoy the bikes rides ALOT especially when our weather is a 10+!

My doctor visit yesterday was with a Dermatologist.
I have had this skin issue since Shawn was in the hospital in January 2017.
My family doctor has been prescribing a variety of topical creams & antifungal medications to combat it but nothing was taking it away and I keep getting new spots.
Yesterday the Dermatologist looked at everything and diagnosed me with Psoriasis.
Yea, I had that feeling since it began but my family doctor said no.
It's all over my body from head to toe.
The itch is horrible and some of the plaques (as they call the spots) are awful looking.
Psoriasis has no cure and hopefully with the new medicines he prescribed I can get it under control.
This is for life and finding the correct medicine to keep it under control is key.
I tell ya, ever since I turned 50....it all went downhill!

So, today I want to share another July 4th treat I whipped up.
I used those fun Wood Crates!

My crates are diecut from Thick Whisper White cardstock,
Once they are glued and dried, I added some white shred paper from the Dollar Tree then my 3 x 5 Cello Bag with Hershey Kisses in. I found them at Walmart.

Project Details:

Stamps: Wood Words, Sentiment is from Papertreyink
Ink: Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White
Accessories: Wood Crate Framelits, Cherry Cobbler Stitched Ribbon, Whisper White Baker's Twine, 3X5 Cello Bags, Rhinestones, Shred Paper, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If you make these I would strongly suggest the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere these crates together. And also a heavy paper. These can be very flimsy if you don't use something heavy along with a strong holding glue!
These can be a fun treat to sit on your dinner table for any occasion!
And the candy idea's are endless!

July 4th Match Packs

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

This morning we are off to a doctor appointment for my hubby then shortly after I am headed to see a Dermatologist. I have been dealing with some serious skin issues for quite awhile and i'm not sure if my family doctor really knows what is going on. As much as I like my doctor, I think it is time to see a doctor who specializes in skin issues. I hope I can get some answers and some help to treat it.

Before my day gets away from me I wanted to share some treats I made for the upcoming July 4th holiday. These will be heading out the door soon to my customers.
Today I am sharing the match packs. Very easy to make!

I found the Red, White & Blue Dove candies at Walmart and wanted to do something different with them. I placed them in a 3 x 5 Cello Bag and folded the ends up and tucked it into the flap of the match pack and then stapled it in place. I placed a little bit of Mono Adhesive behind the Cello Bag to hold the top of the bag in place. The color of my candy matched the Blueberry Bushel color. It's a new In Color so I went with that and used some of the coordinating DSP! So pleased with them!

Project Details:

Stamps: Happy Fourth (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Real Red, Whisper White, In Color 2018-2010 DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Cello Bags, Silver Metallic Enamel Star, Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stapler, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My sentiment is from an old Stampin Up set since we have nothing patriotic in the new catty.
Guess it's always good to hang on to these older sets if you make cards for different holidays like I do. These treats are sure to make some smile and those chocolates are to die for!

Waterfront & Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Yesterday & today is not the best of days.
Showery & clouds are in the forecast for most of our weekend.
This morning Shawn went for blood work and after that I am not sure what will be on the agenda.
It may end up being a lazy Saturday or maybe we'll go out and do some thrift shopping.

Yesterday I did sit a bit and created a card with the Tuesday Morning Sketches!
I have not participated in their challenges in awhile and I really need to get back at it because they have some amazing sketches!

Here is this week's sketch and my card....

This card was SO much fun to make!
Thanks Tuesday Morning Sketches for the perfect sketch!

This card will be headed to Bradenton, Florida to a special guy that is just like son #2 to us.
Tim lived in Florida a couple years ago then moved to Indiana and is now back in Florida which he fell in love with the way of life there. He loves to go boating & fishing. He was married on the beach there so that is why I made a beachy style of card for him. His birthday is coming up in about 2 weeks so I was happy to get this made early and get it in the mail soon.

Card Details:

Stamps: Waterfront, We Must Celebrate (retired), Special Celebrations (inside)
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Tutti Fruitti DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Crumb Cake Ribbon, Glue Dots, Banner Punch (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love the Waterfront stamp set!
It can create many different scenes from the mountains to the ocean!
I love it!

Lilypad Lake

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today is looking to be a washout!
It's been a decent week and with all the sunshine we've had but the gardens need the rain too!
Since our weather isn't going to be all the best I am planning a day at my stamp table.

Today I have a card to share that I made last week when my friend Deb came for a bit to stamp.
I was playing around with some diecut pieces I had ready to go using the Lilypad Lake bundle.

Aren't those lilypads cute?
I colored them with the Stampin Blends instead of the Copic Markers.
I also like that there is a die to cut them out.

Card Details:

Stamps: Lilypad Lake, Thoughtful Banners
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Thick WHisper White, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Lakeside Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Such a fun set and easy to use!

Beautiful Bouquet

Good Morning, Everyone!
Happy Thursday!

A rainy morning here to start but it's to clear off this afternoon and I am hoping Shawn isn't too late getting home tonight so we can take the bikes out for a quick ride before dark.

Today I have a card to show that I made last week for the Tuesday Morning Sketches and I totally forgot to share it!

This was last week's sketch.

I have been working on creating some wedding cards in my spare time for my card rack and I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch for it. Still cannot believe I forgot to share it. Better late than never!

I left my DSP do all the work on this card as it was an easy sketch.

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Berry Burst
Cardstock: Berry Burst, Whisper White, Sweet Soiree Specialty Paper
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Berry Burst/Silver Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Beautiful Bouquet is a lovely stamp set filled with lots of great sentiments and pretty flowers.
Sadly, my DSP has retired but I will continue using it because it's so pretty!
It's filled with lots of Silver Foil throughout it so of course, it makes really great cards!

Healing Hugs

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is moving along nicely!
I have a card to share today that I made with a brand new stamp set called Healing Hugs.
I was SO excited to get this stamp set.
The flower in the set is gorgeous and it is a new style of stamp called Distinktive.

Well, long story short....my flower is not stamping the way it should.
I called to get a replacement and Demo Support was so nice.
I asked if she would like me to send my "defective" stamp set back and she told me to get as much use out of it as I can! I giggled a bit because all the other stamps in the set stamp perfect except for my flower. So, I made a card with it anyways until my new set arrives!

This last picture you can see the defect.
I tried everything to get a good clean image of this stamp but if you looked closely on the rubber, there is a spot that is sunk in and it's getting no ink at all. I cleaned my stamp really well, tried the Stampin Foam Mat under the stamp, even sanded my stamp and it made no difference.

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs
Ink: Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Lakeside Framelits, Quilt Top EF, Whisper White Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My Soft Sea Foam cardstock looks like River Rock in these pictures.
My camera did not capture that color very well but it is a pretty pale green!
Once my new stamp arrives I promise there will be more cards made with it!
Stay tuned!

Springtime Impressions Framelits

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Phew, yesterday was a downright horrible weather day!
Just to pop outside the humidity took your breathe away! Blah!
I tried to hibernate inside but I had to go out and chase my dogs in every so often.
They are always chasing a chipmunk around our yard that we have named "Chippy".
They can smell him under the flower boxes and behind the grill on the back porch.
I hope to God they never catch him!!!

Anyways, today it is a bit better...not as hot.
We had some rain this morning which has cooled it down.
I am trying to give my AC a break today and keeping the house closed up with just the fan on.

I have a card to share today that I made the other week with my friends.
This one uses the Springtime Impressions Framelits which I love this entire bundle!

The DSP is from the Garden Impressions paper pad.
Another one of my fav's!

Card Details:

Stamps: Perennial Birthday
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Garden Impressions DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits,  Springtime Impressions Framelits, Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Although I did not add any rhinestones to my butterfly, Emily did on hers and it looked amazing!
Oh, and Mango Melody is a new color this year and is in the Brights color family.
So pretty!

Cake Soiree HB

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
It was absolutely lovely here with nice warm weather!
After 7 weekends in a row of cool rainy weather...this past weekend was MUCH welcomed!
Yesterday & today we are under a heat advisory. Temps are to soar close to 100 degrees.
While I am not a fan of the heat & humidity, I am happy for the sunshine!

Today I have a quick card to share using the Cake Soiree stamp set.
This set also uses the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit that was available in the now retired Occasions Mini Catalog.

The embellishment kit has alot of little things to add to the card. Some punch out images which can making a card go very quickly! There is velvet ribbon, tassles, washi tape and small clothes pins. On my card today I just added a punched out image with 2 Dimensionals.

Card Details:

Stamps: Cake Soiree
Ink: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Cake Soiree Embellishment Kit (retired), Whisper White Cotton Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

A quick & simple card thanks to the help of the embellishment kit!

Beautiful Day, Indeed

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all having a nice weekend so far!
Our weather here in south central PA has been gorgeous!
Last evening we got the bikes out for a 2nd evening. I love it when the weather is nice and we can get out and ride. It just soothes the soul!
Today is to be a busy day but hopefully we will again be able to squeeze another bike ride in!

I have a card to share today that we made a week ago at my stamp get together.
This was probably hands down my most favorite card!

That big ole butterfly is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.
It was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Do you see the shine from the embossing?

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Day
Ink: Versamark, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Gold Foil Paper, Whisper White, Painted w/ Love DSP (retired)
Accessories: Washi Label Punch (retired), Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Gold Ribbon, Gold Metallic Enamel Dot, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

In the set there are some round spots that remind me of flowers.
We stamped those in Versamark for a lighter look on the cardbase just for interest.
Emily said this was her favorite card from our Saturday get together!
Each time we get together she picks one that is her favorite and I have to totally agree on this one!
Hope you like it too!

Sheltering Tree

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yesterday we had some really beautiful weather!
Hubby got in from work earlier than usual and we took the bikes out for a ride!
It's been awhile but it felt great!

So today I have a quick card for you!
I used Sheltering Tree on my card....

Can you tell I had my bike on my mind when I made this?? LOL
I believe it's been well over a month since we had the bikes out.
Between Shawn's work schedule and our rainy weekend weather it just hasn't happened.

On this card I used lots of the new color, Shaded Spruce. I am loving this new green!
The Crumb Cake panel was run thru my Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks EF. It's one of those very thick folders but it makes your cardstock really stand out and adds lots of texture!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sheltering Tree
Ink: Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Pinewood Planks 3-D EF, Shaded Spruce Metallic Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I am hoping we can get several bikes rides in this weekend since they are calling for it to be a nice  weekend!
Great weather to celebrate Father's Day weekend! WooHoo!

Lilypad Lake

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at my stamp table just playing around with new stuff.
I got out my Lilypad Lake Bundle and whipped up a quick card.

I used the Seaside EF to create the background using some new Balmy Blue cardstock.
Isn't that color blue pretty??
I diecut the sailboats, sun and the grass from the Lakeside Framelits and put my card together.
My sailboats are colored with Stampin Blends but the blue is Copic Markers.

Card Details:

Stamps: Lilypad Lake, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue, Stampin Blends & Copic Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Lakeside Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

I can see this set making some amazing masculine cards!
