Seasonal Sprays Sympathy

Good Morning & Happy Monday, Friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Yesterday turned out to be rainy & dreary out so I spent most of the day at my stamp table playing with some Christmas cards! Yep, I know, way to early to be thinking of Christmas but I went to my stamp table thinking...what am I gonna make today?! I seen a Christmas card that inspired me so that was the route I took! LOL

So, I'm not sharing a Christmas card today but I am sharing a Sympathy card that I was inspired by from a very old (2000-2001) Stampin Up Annual Catalog. I pulled out the lovely (retired) Seasonal Sprays wood mounted stamp set and got busy!

Card Details:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired), Weathered Background Stamp (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue (retired)
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue (retired), Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Something Fancy Dies (retired), Gold Trim, Pressed Flowers Gold Dots, Glue Dots, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I love casing a card and changing things up to make it my own. I get so easily inspired by the catalog samples so always make sure to use your catalogs as a source of inspiration! I was also thrilled that I still have a good bit of Bordering Blue cardstock left & a very inky ink pad! It was a great day of stamping!

This card has been added to my bin of cards that I am working on. It's not often I have time for card making for myself but when I do I try to get cards made that I know are good sellers. I also like to take a variety of different cards and place them in a cello bag with envelopes and gift them to people. Audrey loves when I do that for her as a little Thank You.

Anyways, I am back to my stamp table today for some inky fun!
I really need to get working on July 4th cards since that will be here before we know it!

Seasonal Sprays Meets Quiet Meadow

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Halfway thru the week already!

Wanted to give an update on Miss Bailee before I get to today's project.
Vet called and said she has no worms which is what I was thinking with her symptoms. She's had worms back in 2014 so we've been down that road before. They are not sure what has caused her GI issues in the last week but the meds and her bland diet is helping. We have not started the change over back to her normal food and will continue with her bland food diet a few more days.

My card that I am sharing today I made recently for a friend who recently lost her partner of many years. I haven't seen or spoken to her in quite a while but wanted to send a card to let her know we are thinking of her. I pulled out a couple of supplies and got started...

This is the wood mounted stamp set I started my card with.
Do you remember the Seasonal Sprays set?

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this card and used the Seasonal Sprays stamp set from 2000 and the Quiet Meadow bundle.  I started with the Daffodil Delight cardbase then a layer of Basic White that I embossed with the Pretty Flowers EF which just retired at the end of April. Next I took some Daffodil Delight DSP strips and layered them on top of my embossed panel. I'm not sure on the measurements as they were just scraps that I cut to fit. Next I stamped my pretty flower image from the wood mounted Seasonal Sprays set with Memento Black and colored my image with Stampin Blends. I diecut that out with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits that also just retired. I layered that piece with some Old Olive cardstock and adhered to my card. I took a scrap piece of Daffodil Delight and stamped my sentiment on in Old Olive ink and diecut it out from the Quiet Meadow stamp set & Meadow Dies. I added an Old Olive bow with a Glue Dot and lastly added some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays (retired), Quiet Meadow
Ink: Old Olive, Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Basic White, Daffodil Delight DSP (retired)
Accessories: Meadow Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Pretty Flowers EF (retired), Old Olive Ribbon (retired), Brushed Brass Butterflies, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved how this card turned out and hope that it comforted my friend during this difficult time.

Color Challenge 389

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another gorgeous day here in south central PA!
One of those days I have to fight with myself to go downstairs and stamp but I did it!

I went to SCS to find out what the colors were for today's Color Challenge 389.
The colors are: Summer Starfruit, Bravo Burgundy & Regal Rose!
Of my, what a combination!
I thought & thought on this all afternoon while organizing my ribbon drawers and finally got something created! Not sure how much I like it but here it is....

I pulled out an old SU set called Seasonal Sprays and stamped it fully in Bravo Burgundy. My mind went towards Fall. I then used the Regal Rose as a layer under my white cardstock that I embossed with the Square Lattice EF. My main image I layered onto a piece of Bravo Burgundy and punched it with the SU Eyelet Border Punch and added some Summer Starfruit Ribbon.  Lastly, I added the sentiment and attached everything to the Bravo Burgundy cardbase. No pearls or rhinestones on this one. Trying to keep some of my cards flat for easy mailing. This one will be going in with my Aunt's huge card order!

I have to say that I kinda like it but that piece of Regal Rose cardstock just throws me off a bit.
What do you think?

Color Challenge 389 Card:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, SU Eyelet Border Punch, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, Circle Punches, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for me this evening!
I'm off in search of a really good apple pie recipe! Apples are just coming into season here and Shawn brought some home last evening. I have a craving for a homemade apple pie and maybe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!:)

Thanks for stopping by & have a good nite!
