Dinosaur Birthday

 Good Saturday Morning, Everyone!

I know I am sounding like a broken record but we are in for more very hot & humid weather today! I am hoping for some a thunderstorm because the grass is turning brown & getting crispy. It seems awfully early in the summer season for such hot weather and no rain.
Anyways, Shawn & I are headed out this morning to Home Depot & Walmart then back home. I am hoping to get back to the stamp table today. I spent all afternoon there yesterday!

Today I have another cutie patootie card to share that was made for Audrey's order. The very last card she requested was one for her great granddaughter, Malia. She wasn't sure when I was going to be in her way with another card order and wanted to make sure I she had a card for her 1st birthday which is coming in July. Can't believe that little one will be 1 already! We had a chance about 2 months ago to meet little Malia and she is just the sweetest! She even had her ears pierced! Anyways, Audrey informed me that she loves dinosaurs and has a pink one that she carries with her. I immediately thought of the Dinoroar Bundle that was out a few years ago!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic White, Old Olive, Dinoroar DSP (retired)
Accessories: Dino Dies (retired), Diorama Dies (retired), Dinoroar Enamel Shapes (retired), Large Number Dies (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It turned out pretty sweet & Audrey said this is perfect for Malia!
It always helps when you have a room full of retired stuff to fall back on when something special is needed!!

Dinosaurs & Halloween

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your having a great weekend!
Yesterday our weather almost felt like late Fall.
It was definitely a "hang on to your hat" kind of day!

Today I have another Halloween card to share to Audrey requested for a little boy. She asked for something with dinosaurs. I stewed on this one a few days then pulled out a bunch of stuff trying to come up with something. I knew I had to think outside of the box!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days (retired), Spooky Cat (retired), Ghoulish Goodies (retired)
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Pumpkin Pie DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies (retired), Dino Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Halloween Night Twine (retired), Rhinestone, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Some of the pieces on this card came from leftover candy treats from a few years ago.
I keep a baggie filled with leftover parts & pieces that I can pull out and use again. All I needed to do was add my dinosaur, sentiment and create a cardbase and my card was born!
Audrey was pleased with it! I think she said this was going to a 3 year old neighbor boy so I needed to keep it on the cutesy side.

The last 2 days I worked on a Halloween puzzle that I picked up last weekend at Home Goods. I did a Halloween puzzle last year, too! This took me about 12 hours total to put together and it was a 1000 piece puzzle.

I enjoy working on them when I don't have other things to do!
This one was quite fun! I am anxious to soon start some Christmas puzzles that I have waiting on me. After I am done with them I tear them apart, put into a ziplock bag and send them over to my friend Deb. She loves doing puzzles, too!

Dino Days HB

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

Today I have the 4th card to share from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends. This one I created with kids in mind and it uses the stamp set, Dino Days!

Your probably wondering why I am showing 2 different cards?
I did that because Deb has a grandson whom she will use this card for and Miss Emily has granddaughters which she will use her card for. I changed up the color of the dinosaurs to accommodate their needs. I made a card of each so if anyone needs a birthday card for a child...i'm ready!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days, Many Mates
Ink: Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Lovely Lipstick (retired)
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Lovely Lipstick (retired), Whisper White, Old Olive DSP (retired), Dinoroar DSP (retired)
Accessories: Dino Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Hammered Metal EF, Dinoroar Enamel Shapes (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I know there are a few things on these cards that have retired but my girls don't mind that I am using up my stash! I like using a mix of old & new!

Hope you liked my card!

Dino Days Sketch Challenge

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Our weather here was nice but a bit on the windy, cool side.
However, I am not complaining because I know it could be hot & humid!

Yesterday, Shawn had First Aid training at work from the American Red Cross to learn CPR and how to take care of different injuries if the need would ever arise.
I stamped during the afternoon since there wasn't much else to do.
I seen Debbie Henderson has a monthly challenge on her FB page that I wanted to play along with.

I just got the Dino Days and had to get it inked up!
I'm usually not one to get the kid sets but this one had some adorable sentiments included and the coordinating DSP was so cute!! I figured i'd find ways to use it!
So this card will get sent to Kelsey!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Mango Melody, Lovely Lipstick
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Dinoroar DSP
Accessories: Dino Dies, Delightful Days Tag Topper Punch, Subtle EF, Pretty Peacock Lacy Ribbon, Pretty Peacock Faceted Dots, Dinoroar Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My Pretty Peacock dinosaur was stamped off and cut out with the matching Dino Dies.
And his back fins were also a separate die which is pretty cool!
I'm anxious to play more with this set!

We need the rain so I won't complain....
