Sending Love Card Set

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Is it cold & snowy where you are?
It is snowy here and it just makes the scenery so pretty!
That extreme cold air is due here by early afternoon!
Ughh! Stay warm & be safe, everyone!

Today I have the last set of Valentines Day cards that I made for my customer.
They have already been delivered to her and i'm sure she has them addressed and ready to mail out!
She is on the ball!
Anyways, this set was made with what was in my stash.

This set uses the Sending Love DSP which has been long retired.
I still have a good bit of it in my stash. I paired it up with a sentiment from Inkadinkadoo!
I added a red heart rhinestone that I think came from the Dollar Tree years ago as well.
A white bow was added with a glue dot and these were finished.
My customer loves to write her own thing inside so that makes it very easy for me!

Card Details:

Stamps: Inkadinkadoo
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Sending Love DSP (retired)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Whisper White 1/8 Ribbon, Red Heart Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another favorite set of mine!
I think the paper and font of the sentiment makes this card!
Hope you like them, too!

Thank You Notes

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Our weather today is to be rain, snow & ice and by day's end our temps are going to bottom out!
I think most of the US is under the gun for drastic cold weather.
I got my extra quilt ready to put on the bed tonight! Burrrr

Today I have one last pack of Thank You notes to share that were a customer request.
I used some All My Love DSP on these.
It's so pretty!

My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette stamp set.
So quick & easy using the Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes!

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette
Ink: Soft Seafoam
Cardstock: Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes, Soft Seafoam, Whisper White, All MY Love DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts today.....

Yesterday was my dermatology appointment.
My doctor suggested I start light therapy to help get my psoriasis under control.
The ointment helps with the itch but it's not calming it down any.
Yes, winter is hard on one's skin but a person with psoriasis is 20 times worse.
Mine has been flaring up the past several months and it continues to flare.
My scalp, forehead, lower eye lid, nose and both ears have been hit pretty hard with red spots, flaking & itch. Since I have a steroid cream for my skin, I cannot use it anywhere on my face or scalp because it causes thinning of the skin.
We talked about taking something in pill form or biologics but the side effects for those are horrible and doctor doesn't want to go that route just yet.
Light Therapy is actually really good for people with Eczema & Psoriasis.
They always suggest 15 minutes a day of sunshine for these types of people.
It helps inflammation, itch and eventually can make the spots/plaques go away almost putting it into remission. This is the route the doctor wants me to go twice a week for 3 months.
He said that if this helps me that I could get a kit to do it at home eventually.
Psoriasis is for life because there is NO cure but can be manageable.
I am still learning as I go and hope for some good results because I do not want to go on any medications especially something like those with horrible side effects!
I'll keep ya posted!

Thanks for stopping by & stay safe out there!

Red Hot Geared Up Garage Gatefold

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
I got my house put back together but now it needs to be cleaned.
Won't be today as I have a doctor appointment this afternoon.
I suppose that is what I will be doing tomorrow...blah!

Today I am sharing another really awesome Gatefold style card that I made using the Geared Up Garage Bundle! This set is really cool for anyone who loves cars!

I love the prints that are on the Classic Garage DSP.
I chose the one with the steering wheels on for this card.
Such great colors on 1 sheet of paper!

Card Details:

Stamps: Geared Up Garage
Ink: Real Red, Memento Black, Smoky Slate, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Classic Garage DSP
Accessories: Garage Gears Thinlit Dies, Oval Layering Framelits, Black & Silver Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My hubby has always wanted a red Ford Mustang.
This might be the only way he gets one....

Petal Palette Anniversary

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying the weekend!
Yesterday was a busy day as our new bed was delivered.
I needed to go out shopping for new bed linens & blankets since we upgraded from a queen to a king.
It takes up the majority of the space in our bedroom.
Not sure I am liking the cramped feeling in there but the bed itself is comfy and just SO big!

This morning I am off to get my haircut and grab a couple things at the store on my way home.
Then I will start working on some laundry and getting my house put back together.

I do have a set of cards to show today using the Petal Palette set and a new set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called To Have and To Hold.

I took a whole sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 Whisper White cardstock and just randomly stamped my rose images all over with Memento Black ink then took my Stampin Blends and colored them.
Took me awhile as my hands start hurting when I do alot of coloring. I then cut it down into stripes of 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 and layered them with Old Olive cardstock that is 2 x 5 1/2.
My sentiment was stamped with Memento Black and diecut using the New Stitched Rectangle Framelits. Those dies are awesome!
My Real Red cardbase was stamped with a smaller image from the Petal Palette set in the same color ink.

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, To Have and To Hold
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Stampin Blends- Real Red, Old Olive
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have been trying to work ahead while I had some extra time on my hands last week!
I have a busy week coming up with getting my housework done and preparing for my Stamp Day w Friends next Saturday. I will have 6 ladies joining me for 3 cards & a treat project!
I also have a doctor appointment tomorrow at the Dermatologist.
My Psoriasis has been a bit challenging the last few weeks.
And with this cold winter weather....the itch is crazy!
I scratch until it bleeds. *sigh*

Nothing Sweeter

Hello & Happy Friday!

Can you believe today is the last Friday of January?!

I have a quick card to share that I made for my hubby!

I used the Buffalo Check Background stamp again since it was out on my table.
I pulled out a set from the Holiday Mini Catalog called Nothing Sweeter.
This set also has matching Framelits and I like how versatile it is that it can be used for Valentines Day!

He does so much for me and I wanted to make a special card for him!

Card Details:

Stamps: Buffalo Check, Nothing Sweeter, Takeout Treats (both are from Holiday Mini Catalog)
Ink: Real Red, Memento Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Sweetly Stitched Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Basketweave EF, Real Red Enamel Heart (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope it makes him smile and know how much he is loved!
He's one in a million to me!

Golden Afternoon

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's a rainy morning here and hopefully the sun will come out this afternoon!

Today I am headed down to my stamp table to work on more cards.
I have told myself that I have to start using up all the millions of packs of designer series papers I have been collecting since my early days of stamping.
The last several days I have been mixing old papers with new stamps and I like how they turned out!

Today though I have another card made using the Buffalo Check background stamp!
If you do not have this stamp, well, you really need it!

I stamped the Buffalo Check background in Night of Navy and paired this with a new set called Golden Afternoon. This set comes from the Occasions Mini Catalog on page 31.
I liked the variety of sentiments and the font!

Card Details:

Stamps: Buffalo Check Background, Golden Afternoon
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Night of Navy Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Last week I seen my graduating class of 1984 lost a classmate.
This classmate contacted me in 2012 to make his mom a special Mother's Day card.
He & his mom loved the card so much.
He sent me a handwritten thank you letter which I still have.
He passed away from a massive heart attack at 52 years old.
I got the letter out & read it.
I was pretty saddened by his passing.
I am going to send this card to his wife.
His funeral was last Friday.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well.

Today I have a card to share made using this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
I love their sketches!

Here is the sketch and my card samples....

I jumped ahead to St Patrick's Day since my customer already gave me an order for them.

I broke out my much loved Buffalo Check stamp and inked it up in Call Me Clover.
To be honest, this color is one of my favorite greens!
My St Patrick's Day stamp is an old one that will stay in my collection for a long time!

Card Details:

Stamps: Lucky Shamrock (retired), Buffalo Check Background
Ink: Call Me Clover
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Call Me Clover, Whisper White, Call Me Clover DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Sparkle EF, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I know it seems alittle busy with the mix of prints but I liked it!
Hope you do too!

Home to Roost

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all staying warm!
Yesterday was pretty brutal with those winds & cold temps but today things should ease up some.

I went downstairs to do some stamping.
I used a new SaleABration set called Home to Roost.

I used 2 different background stamps, Buffalo Check & Chicken Wire.

Card Details:

Stamps: Home to Roost (SAB), Buffalo Check, Chicken Wire (retired)
Ink: Real Red, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Red Rhinestones, Linen Thread, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Foiled Heart Valentines

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

It is literally freezing here this morning. I saw 3 degrees when I got up!
That does not include the wind chill.
My hubby is working from home today! Can't say I blame him.
I would not want to have to go out in the weather either!

Anyone watch the football games yesterday?
Thoughts?

I have a quick card to share today!
I whipped this card up last Thursday using some Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits!

I then ran my heart thru the Big Shot with the Tufted Embossing Folder to give it that quilted look!
Pretty awesome, huh?

Card Details:

Stamps: Forever Lovely
Ink: Lovely Lipstick
Cardstock: Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper, All My Love DSP
Accessories: Tufted EF, Be Minted Stitched Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Lovely Lipstick Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Embossing Folders can add so much to a project to make them stand out!
I really love the look of this one!

**************************************************************************
My thoughts today....

Single degree temps added to 30 mph winds makes for an extremely cold day!
Gigi & Bailee needed coats on to go outside.
Thankfully, they are not farting around out there and doing their business and right back in!

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & stay warm!

Valentine Sampler Frame

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going well.
Yesterday afternoon we went to the Rail Trail for a quick walk before the snow came.
We got home in the nick of time!
Got in the door and left the doggies out and it started to snow....it came down fast & furious!
After about 2 hours it changed to a mix then heavy rain overnight.
This morning it is still raining but not bad.
The gusty winds & cold temps from Canada are suppose to come around mid day and it will be a drastic temperature change for sure!
Everything will flash freeze on contact and can cause power outages.
Let's keep those fingers crossed that none of that happens!

I did not sleep well last night.
I think my psoriasis knows a temperature change is coming.
I itched & scratched all night!
My butt is dragging this morning....I may need a nap later or a couple cups of coffee!

So, I have a cute project to share today!
I made this Friday afternoon.

I used a tray/frame that was in my closet for along time.
I picked it up at Hobby Lobby maybe 4-5 years ago so i'm not even sure they still sell these.
I lined each spot with different pieces of DSP from the All My Love DSP pack.
Then I started using the diecuts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
The LOVE is diecut from the Large Letters Framelits using the Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper.
It is a FREE item in the SaleABration catalog and is it ever pretty!
Lastly, I added some sentiments from the Forever Lovely & Meant to Be stamp sets.

Project Details:

Stamps: Meant to Be, Forever Lovely
Ink: Lovely Lipstick
Cardstock: Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Lovely Lipstick Foil Paper, All My Love DSP
Accessories: Tailored Tag Punch, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Large Letter Framelits, Lovely Lipstick & Flirty Flamingo Ribbons, Glue Dots, Flirty Flamingo Enamel Hearts, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It did not take too long to make this and I was SO happy with the outcome!
It will sit on my picture table in the living room where anyone that comes to visit will see it.
This is also a great item to display that shows off many new products!
