Thanks So Much

 Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
Today I have another set of cards that I made up using the same Parts & Pieces Challenge that I used on yesterday's blog post.

I pulled out my In Symmetry Suite and got to work.

I started with a Flirty Flamingo cardbase that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Tasteful Textile 3D EF. This is my favorite embossing folder because I like the texture it gives to my card without alot of attention on it. Next I cut 3 different DSP patterns from the Sweet Symmetry DSP 3 x 5 and I cut them in half at 2 1/2. I used 2 different patterns on each card.
I stamped my flowers and sentiment from the In Symmetry stamp set and diecut them with the Circle Layering Framelits. I layered that onto a Scalloped Circle with Bumble Bee cardstock. Lastly, I added some Iridescent Rhinestones (SO PRETTY) and a Just Jade bow on each.

I love these so much.....you will probably see me using these designs on many card sets to come!

Card Details:

Stamps: In Symmetry
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Bumble Bee, Just Jade, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Bumble Bee, Basic White, Sweet Symmetry DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Just Jade Ribbon (retired), Iridescent Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is a great way to use up scraps!

Parts & Pieces Challenge

Good Morning & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

It's a beautiful sunny morning here in PA after a very cold day yesterday.
Temps are to get to 50 this afternoon but it's to get very windy again.
We just can't seem to shake the wind but I guess that's a tell tail sign we are headed into March!

On Friday I decided to play along with a Facebook Challenge that Marisa Alvarez did during her Thursday FB Live that she does every week on her FB page.
This challenge was called parts & pieces and she tells you what you need like sizes in cardstock & DSP. Then it's up to you to design your cards with those measurements. She used the Honey Bee bundle and the Friendly Hello from the SaleABRation offering.
We can decorate our cards however we please but have to use the "Parts & Pieces" that she gives us.

Here is the challenge...

Here are my cards...

My cardbase measured 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
I ran one half of my cardbase thru the Big Shot with the Tasteful Textile 3D EF.
Next I cut my Pansy Petals DSP to the challenge size of 3 x 5. That 3 x 5 piece we can cut down but the size cannot be any bigger. I cut mine down. 2 pieces measured 1 x 3. And 1 piece measures 3 x 3. I staggered those pieces on mixing up the patterns.
My diecut sentiment panel is from the Hippo & Friends Dies. I stamped my sentiment on it from the Pansy Patch stamp set and glued it down.
Next I diecut my pretty flowers from the Pansy Petals DSP using the coordinating Pansy Dies. I diecut a large and a small pansy from the DSP and layered them along side my sentiment. Lastly, I added a Bumble Bee Gingham bow and some Polished Pink In Color Jewels for a pop of sparkle.

I was so thrilled with these and love the texture that the embossing folder gives my cards.
I made a pack of 5 and put them on my card rack to sell.

Card Details:

Stamps: Pansy Patch
Ink: Polished Pink
Cardstock: Pale Papaya, Basic White, Pansy Petals DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Hippo & Friends Dies, Pansy Dies, Bumble Bee Gingham, In Color Jewels, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!

I am off this morning for a haircut and grab a few groceries but before I go I want to share a set of cards made by request from my card lady!
She gave me a huge order this week and I have been working on them slowly.
For these I pulled out the package of Daffodil Afternoon DSP that is one of the SaleABRation offerings this time around. I'm not really crazy about this paper but i'm pushing myself to use it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Special Moments (SAB 22)
Ink: Pale Papaya
Cardstock: Pale Papaya, Very Vanilla, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Afternoon DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Tailor Made Tags Dies, Pale Papaya Ribbon, In Color Jewels, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I kept these simple and left the paper do all the work!

2nd Special HB Card

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY, Everyone!

I promised yesterday that I would share the 2nd birthday card for my card lady's other granddaughter! I hope you like this one as much as I do!
Actually, I can't pick a favorite as I like them both!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Freesia, Basic White, Flowing Flowers DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Fresh Freesia Ribbon, In Color Jewels, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady loves flowers so I know she will love these cards and that beautiful Flowing Flowers DSP.

We woke up this morning to wet roads and some icy spots but nothing too bad.
Yesterday it snowed a bit around lunch time but the ground was too warm for it to lay!
Our 10 day forecast for next week shows more 50's! I'll take it!

Special Birthday Card

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Everyone!

I have been up pretty much all night!
I just could not get comfy to sleep.
I'm on my 2nd cup of coffee and i'm sure there is another cup in my future!
I'm usually just a 1 cup a morning person.
I told Shawn I will most likely be in bed right after supper this evening.
Yukky weather is in the forecast for later today. The clouds are pretty heavy this morning and it looks like the sky is ready to drop! Rain, sleet & freezing rain is being forecast but after 3 days of 60 degree days I can't imagine it will lay. Yesterday the temps got to almost 70 and it was a lovely day to walk the dogs! My kind of day, for sure! 🌞

On Tuesday, my card lady called and gave me a big order!
This is the first big order she has given me in awhile and I took advantage of getting it started right away. This card is for her granddaughter who is having a birthday in April.
I pulled out some new pretty paper and made this young lady a simple birthday card.

Isn't it pretty and so springy!
I have been trying to keep my cards easy & simple so my hands don't ache.
They still hurt most days but nothing like I was experiencing.

Card Details:

Stamps: Pocketful of Happiness (retired)
Ink: Mango Melody
Cardstock: Mango Melody, So Saffron, Basic White, Flowering Fields DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Tomorrow I will share the other granddaughter's birthday card that I made her.
Both of her granddaughter's birthday's are in April and I chose to use the same package of paper except a different print. I really liked both cards and can't wait to share it with you!

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A warm but windy day is on tap then tonight our temps are to drop.
Not looking forward to that drop in temps!

Monday I went to my stamp table and just played with what was on my table.
Rainbow of Happiness was still out so I grabbed it and some Sunshine & Rainbows DSP.
I made a fun fold card!

Card Details:

Stamps: Rainbow of Happiness
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Mango Melody
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Mango Melody, Basic White, Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Hippo & Friends Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, White Glittered Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love this style of card but have no idea what the name of it is.
I wanted to use it to make a Thank You card for a friend. I hope she likes it!

Sunny Thoughts

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Yesterday our weather was so nice and the girls loved being outside in the warmth of the sun! I loved it too!
Today, it's to rain but still be warm so i'm not gonna complain.

Since our weather was so sunny the last 2 days I was inspired to use more of that Sunshine & Rainbows DSP and make a bright & happy card! I ended up making a set!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Mango Melody
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Basic White, Magenta Madness, Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Hippo & Friends Dies, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Magenta Madness Enamel Dots (retired), White Glittered Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Aren't they bright & colorful?!
Just what we need to brighten someone's day during these dreary winter months!
I love them!

Rainbow of Happiness

Good Morning & Happy Monday, Everyone!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
It sure was a cold one here!
Today the skies are blue and we are expecting temps in the upper 50's!
It will be a nice afternoon to take the doggies out for a walk!

Last week I sat and finally pulled out my Rainbow of Happiness bundle and played with it.
I made a pack of cards for on my card rack since it is looking pretty empty these days!

It took me awhile to figure out how things stamped and then I ended up just diecutting my rainbow. Each rainbow on my cards is different depending on the colors of cardstock I had diecut but they all matched the rainbows in my Sunshine & Rainbows DSP that is a SaleABration item. That paper is so pretty!

My sentiment comes from the For The Record stamp set from the 2022 January - June Mini Catalog on page 74. The Rainbow of Happiness bundle is from the same catalog on page 18.
The DSP is from the 2022 SaleABRation Catalog on page 8.

Card Details:

Stamps: Rainbow of Happiness, For the Record
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Soft Seafoam, Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Hippo & Friends Dies, Misty Moonlight Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were alot of fun to put together and took me a bit to find a layout I was happy with.
Lots of bits & pieces but I love the colors and I will say that the DSP is very colorful!
Can't wait to play more with this bundle!

Happy Anniversary

Good Morning & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

I hope your staying warm this weekend!
It sure got cold and those winds yesterday were CRAZY!
Thankfully we did not get the snow squalls they were calling for but I seen on the news that other area's in PA did. We also had no problem picking the doggies up after their grooming appointments which I was worried about.

Friday afternoon I spent some time at my stamp table working ahead on some cards and I pulled out a bundle that I have not touched. I've had it for months and kept forgetting I had it!
Here is what I made...

Card Details:

Stamps: Always In My Heart
Ink: Evening Evergreen
Cardstock: Soft Succulent, Gold Foil Paper, Ever Eden DSP (retired)
Accessories: Floral Heart Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were very easy to make, just a bit of diecutting.
This DSP was available back before Christmas. I picked it up when the Eden's Garden Suite became available and I misplaced it. I only just found it and wanted to use it.
They were tricky to photograph due to the Gold Foil Paper but they turned out so pretty! I wanted to add some pops of sparkle to it with some enamel dots but I decided to let the Gold Foil Paper shine on it's own.
I left this bundle out on my table so you may see more cards coming in the future!

That is all I have for today!
Laundry is on my agenda.
Shawn has to go into work this afternoon for about 2 hours with 2 of his mechanic's to test a piece of equipment and i'm gonna make a roast beef with mash potatoes & steamed broccoli for supper tonight. Hopefully with the oven on it will warm up the house! It's 23 degrees right now! Burrr!

My BeeBug Card

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

A cold Saturday is on tap here but the weather people are saying we are in for another warm up this week. My dogs go to Doggy Day Spa today and they are calling for snow squalls around mid day. I hope we don't have any issues going to pick them up later on!

I've got a really cute card to share today that I made using the Ladybug Builder Punch.
I turned my Ladybug into a Beebug!

Card Details:

Stamps: Special Moments (SAB 22)
Ink: Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Basic White, Vellum, Pattern Party DSP (Hostess)
Accessories: Ladybug Builder Punch, Ornate Frames Dies, Black Glittered Ribbon, Rhinestones, Vellum Tape, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

To make the Beebug I used some scrap pieces of Crushed Curry cardstock measuring 1/8 inch wide and layered them onto some scrap Basic Black cardstock then punched them out using the Ladybug Builder Punch. Then I took some scrap vellum and punched out the wings. I layered the wings on my Bee body with Vellum Tape which is something Stampin Up! does not carry. I got mine at a local stamp store. It's worth every cent since it does not show thru the vellum paper! Before I adhered the vellum on I took my bone folder and curled the wings up. That little thing really made my Beebug come to life!
I hope you will give this a try!

This really was so much fun to create!
