For Unto Us

Hello & Happy New Years Eve!

We have no big plans for today other than watching our Baltimore Ravens playing this afternoon! Going to take it easy today after 2 days of un-decorating the upstairs. It's all dark but back to normal. We still have the family room & the outside to work on this week.
Shawn's physical therapy went well yesterday. He has exercises to do every hour and my Lord, he's been doing them! It might just snow! Haha!

Today I have one more Christmas card to share with you! This card is a partial case of a card I seen from Robbie Rubala. I loved the layout of her card so I tried my hand at it but changed up my sentiment panel. This is how my card turned out...

Card Details:

Stamps: For Unto Us (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Paper, Shining Brightly Specialty Paper
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Gold/Vanilla Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So pleased with how it turned out! Thank you, Robbie, for your inspiration!

I know on this last day of the year I usually do a Year In Review of all my favorite cards & projects. I will most likely do this one day this week as I have been too busy to sit and go thru my cards. Plus Shawn is off this week but I will fit in soon so please stay tuned!

Audrey's Granddaughter's Wedding TODAY!

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is off to a good start!
I started yesterday taking down my Christmas decorations.
The kitchen is done and maybe today I will work on my living room.
Shawn will have to help with putting away the ceramic trees so that is why I said maybe today. He has his first physical therapy appointment early this morning so we'll see how much energy he has left! LOL

The card I am sharing today is a real beauty!
I was summoned by Audrey to create a wedding card for her granddaughter, Sara, whom is getting married today! I will share with you the wedding invitation first. I used a post it note over the information on it as I don't want to share that.

Then I created the card and laid it on top of the invitation...

I showed this to Shawn and he said how it matched the invitation!
Then I laid it out for Audrey to see....she was ecstatic!

And here is the card without the invitation...

Everything on this card is retired!!!

Card Details:

Stamps: First Frost (retired), Forever Fern (retired), Occasional Quotes (retired)
Ink: Baroque Burgundy (retired), Mossy Meadow, Sahara Sand (retired), Versamark
Cardstock: Baroque Burgundy (retired), Basic White, Copper Foil Paper
Accessories: Forever Flourishing Dies (retired), Frosted Bouquet Framelits (retired), Copper Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Burgundy Ribbon (retired), Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was so pleased with it and so was Audrey!
I will be anxious to hear from her this week to see how the wedding was.
I'm glad we are in for a nice but chilly day!

O Holy Night Card Set

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a set of cards to share with you made using the O Holy Night suite of products from the 2023 Holiday Catalog. I made quite a few card sets with these products and of all of them this is the only set that Audrey wanted. I personally loved this set so maybe that is why! LOL She picked a variety this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Rocking Horse (sentiment)
Ink: Copper Clay
Cardstock: Copper Clay, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil Paper, O Holy Night DSP
Accessories: Night Divine Dies, Stars At Night Dies & Hybrid EF, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wish this suite would have carried over as it's all so beautiful.
It will stay in my collection for sure!

I am getting to the end of the Christmas cards and need to get started on my 2024 calendars at some point. I don't know why I am always late getting them started. Maybe by mid January I might have them done! LOL

Holly Berry Happiness Set

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

I know I am running out of time to share more holiday cards but I still have a few left that I wanted to share. This set was made for Audrey and I pulled out the retired Holly Berry Happiness Bundle from the 2016 Stampin Up! Holiday Catalog. She wanted these without a sentiment on. I paired it with some Poinsettia Place DSP that is also retired.

Card Details:

Stamps: Holly Berry Happiness (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Real Red, Old Olive
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Old Olive, Poinsettia Place DSP (retired)
Accessories: Holly Berry Builder Punch (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Holly EF (retired), Red Rhinestones (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She wanted something Christmas-y but without a saying on so she would use them whatever she needed them for. I think this was the first time I actually inked this set up and colored the images. I only ever used the sentiments in the set. I loved how they turned out especially all the holly stuff!

Throughout the Year

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Another dreary day is on tap here in PA.
Yesterday the fog was so dense you could hardly see across the street.
Today it's to be a rainy day and what better to do on a rainy day than stamp!

I have a quick birthday card to share today that was part of Audrey's last order.
She requested a card for a man turning 75 years old and gave me no other idea's as to hobbies so I kept this one plain & simple.

She was perfectly fine with it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Throughout the Year
Ink: Pebbled Path
Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Tartan Foil DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Alphabet A LA Mode Dies, Pebbled Path Ribbon, Pebbled Path Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Yesterday was Shawn's visit at the pain doctor to go over his MRI results.
He definitely has some issues going on with his back that is causing the problem with his knee. He will start physical therapy this Saturday and will undergo epidural injections to help relieve the pain. Hopefully in a few weeks things will feel a bit better for him!

Birthday Cards

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I hope that you had a nice Christmas!
We had a nice Christmas weekend but it seemed to fly by.
Santa was good to all of us.
We did not go crazy or overboard with gifts but everyone got what the asked for.
It was a quiet day and was so nice to sit and talk and open one gift at a time so everyone could see what they got. Shawn made a prime rib for dinner which was excellent. We kept things simple & easy this year. If you remember last year we all had Covid so this was very nice this year!

Kelsey & I started this puzzle on Saturday afternoon and finished it up on Sunday.

This one was very easy and we had fun doing it!
It has become a Christmas tradition for us.

Today I do have a set of birthday cards to show you that Audrey requested a few weeks ago.

I took my colors from the DSP which is from Hobby Lobby.
They was perfect for Audrey.
She likes to keep things neutral so the cards could be for a man or a woman.

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Balloons (sentiment)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Basic White, The Paper Studio
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, Something Fancy Dies, Mossy Meadow Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope today to get back to my stamp table for just a little bit before Shawn's doctor appointment this afternoon to get the results of his recent MRI.
We will find out what's going on with his back and what treatment will be.

Wishes All Around Cards

 Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

It is Christmas Eve and lots going on here today!
We are going out for breakfast this morning then home to cook.
Kelsey is making meatballs in the crock pot and Shawn is making cream of crab soup. I told Ryan I would make deviled eggs since he loves them! In between all that I will pick at a puzzle I started yesterday. I have about a quarter of it done and I hope that everyone else will help pick at it too! This evening we will watch the Grinch.

I'm going to make this short & sweet today since it's going to be a busy day.
I am sharing a set of Christmas cards that I made using the Wishes All Around Bundle from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Card Details:

Stamps: Wishes All Around
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Basic White, Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Wishes All Around Dies, Distressed Tiles 3D EF, Silver Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have seen so many card idea's done with this set in green so I decided to try it in another color. The Adhesive Backed Silver Glimmer Paper is very sparkly and adds a nice pop of sparkle to these cards. They did not last long on my card rack either! This bundle was a last minute purchase so I did not get to play very much with it. Hopefully next year I can do more with it!

Merry Christmas Card Set

Good Morning & Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Today my new stove gets hooked up and tomorrow it will get broken in!
I'm not planning on cooking today as I think it's going to be a pizza kind of night tonight!

Today I have a pretty set of cards to share that I made a few weeks ago using the Ringed With Nature bundle. I really love the poinsettia in that set! I kept these simple and whipped these up in no time...

Card Details:

Stamps: Ringed With Nature
Ink: Real Red, Shaded Spruce
Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Gold Glimmer Paper, Joyful Specialty Paper
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Gold/Vanilla Ribbon, Gold Swirls (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These cards turned out so nice!
Sadly, the Joyful Specialty Paper & the Glimmer Paper both have sold out.
The Glimmer Paper has an adhesive back on it which makes things easier to put together and no liquid glue mess.

Gingerbread Nested Treat Boxes

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have part 2 of the Nested Treat Boxes to share with you!
I really like these boxes!

Project Details:

Stamps: Sending Cheer, Amuse (saying)
Ink: Pecan Pie, Memento Black, Real Red
Cardstock: Basic White, Real Red, Traditions of St. Nick DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Sending Cheer Dies, Double Oval Punch, Pecan Pie Ribbon, Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Of course, these are my favorite because of the Gingerbread guys!
I filled these a bit differently than the Beary Cute boxes.
These are filled with 3 Twix bite sized bars, a Little Debbie Gingerbread Cookie (which BTW are so good!) and a handful of the Santa Hat Hershey Kisses. They filled this box up nicely!

I'm not sure how many have sold yet since I've not heard from Audrey yet to go pick up the basket of treats. If any of these Nested Treat Boxes come back I will be surprised since they are so cute! We shall see!

So how are your holiday plans coming along?
Last evening we did the grocery store and got the last couple things on my list.
Today I am working on laundry. Saturday, my new stove will get hooked up and Kelsey & Shady will be coming over later in the day. I got a fun puzzle for us to do while she is here.
Sunday, she is making meatballs in the crock pot and Shawn is making cream of crab soup. I'm sure we are gonna be stuffed to the gills and hope to end the day with watching the Jim Carrey version of The Grinch.
I'm exhausted thinking about it!

Nested Treat Boxes

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I want to share a new type of treat box that Stampin Up brought out in the Holiday Mini Catalog called a Nested Treat Box. It's a box that has a smaller box inside that you pull out. I think these would be pretty cool used as an Advent Calendar but today I used them as a treat box. I used the Beary Cute Bundle on these.

Project Details:

Stamps: Berry Cute, Framed & Festive (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Basic White, Beary Christmas DSP
Accessories: Deckled Circles Dies, 3/4" Circle Punch (retired), Balmy Blue Glitter Ribbon, Adhesive Backed Glittered Sequins, Classic Label Punch (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

As you can see from the pictures these boxes hold ALOT!
I put in a small box of Jr Mints, 3 Twix Bite Sized Bars & a hand full of Hershey Kisses.
I also fussy cut the bears out. They were pretty easy!
I was pleased with how these turned out and also made some with gingerbread men on which I will share tomorrow!
