A Thanksgiving Gift

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today I am dog sitting my 2 little grand puppies which are 4 month old Jack Russell puppies names Dawkins & Shady. They are so cute but you have to watch everything they do! At this stage they chew on almost everything so i'm glad to see Kirsten has gotten them lots of chew toys! I just had them out to potty and they came in and laid on their blanket and now it's nappy time.

So, while they are taking a snoozer I am gonna share with you alittle something I made yesterday.

I picked up this really good smelling candle at Walmart the last time I was there. It's Mulled Spice and it's as wonderful as any Yankee Candle! I love this scent for this time of year! So I wrapped my candle with some Spice Cake DSP & matching fabric. I also used a big button from the same collection and put a heartfelt thanks saying inside of the button. I hot glued it to the paper and added a rhinestone. The bow is made with the Spice Cake fabric and hot glued to the jar. Once I had that finished I moved on to the Gable Box that SU use to sell. Again I added more Spic Cake DSP layered onto some Pool Party cardstock. My card/tag is 3X3 and attached directly to the box. I'll put some shredded paper inside to hold the candle in place when the time comes to give it as a gift.
Super cute and a nice little thank you gift!

Thanksgiving Box & Candle:

Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP

Well, that is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you'll come back again tomorrow for a new week of Merry Monday!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! :)

Dynamic Duos Color Challenge #22

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all enjoying your weekend so far!
It's been a busy one around the Aungst Pad today! Woke way too early for a Saturday morning but someone had to be up to make sure Kelsey got up for work! Then I moved on to laundry, breakfast, straightening up and running the vaccum! You know the saying, "A mother's work is NEVER done"! After all that was done, I checked out the Dynamic Duos Blog to see what this week's colors were and headed downstairs to play!

Here is this week's colors & my samples......
 My color choice is......Gumball Green!!!

I have been decorating some gift bags for the holidays and when I seen today's challenge I reached for this Be Of Good Cheer DSP ! It's so pretty & very festive! I don't have much left! I was gonna attach a card or tag onto the handles of the bag but sometimes they just get ripped off by accident so I did something different. I attached the card/tag directly to the bag. I made a few like this in the past couple of weeks which I will share once it gets closer to the holidays but I really like the card/tag directly on the front because then you do not have to worry about it getting toren off or lost. I also thought about adding a paper bow but again I was afraid it would get smashed or toren off.

DD#22 Gift Bag & Card/Tag:

Stamps: Chock Full of Cheer, Christmas Punch
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Very Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer DSP
Accessories: SU Scallop Oval Punch, MS Pine Needle Border Punch, Gumball Green Ribbon, Frosted Glass Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all for today!
Heading out soon on a surprise evening out with Amy, Edgar & baby Dominic. They are treating Shawn & I to an evening out for all the babysitting we've been doing for them. I have no idea what the surprise is. Was told to dress warm and bring a flashlight!! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Sunday Stampings....

Hello & Happy Sunday!

I know it's been almost a week since the last update. Hope you all are doing well.
I have been doing some stamping but not updating. Also been busy with things around the Aungst residence. Last Wednesday I spent the day at the hospital with my Dad while he had outpatient surgery to get a pacemaker. It was a long day but he did fine. However, the next day he ended up getting sick and his leg swelled up again. I've not checked in today but if he wasn't better by tomorrow (Monday) he was gonna go see his doctor. Just hope he soon gets straightened out!

Then yesterday Shawn & I babysat Dominic all day. We had a blast but boy did that wear us out! LOL

He's such a good baby and getting big!

So, today we had no plans and I was determined to go down to stamp!
I didn't make this today but earlier this week....

I sat down and had no idea what I was gonna stamp but this is what I ended up with.
I just love this!!

Freshly Made Sketches #51

Hello again!

I found some time over the weekend to get a card made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge but forget to get it uploaded on my blog and it's getting down to the last few hours of the challenge so nothing like waiting till the last minute!

Here is the sketch and my card....

I broke down and bought myself a pack of the new Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP from Stampin Up since I haven't purchased any Halloween paper in ages. I really like the look & patterns in it! I used this adorable/scary little dracula from Stampendous. I purchased him at Hobby Lobby when I still lived in Joplin, MO. I'm so glad I got this stamp....it's adorable!
The glittery pumpkin I found last week at Christmas Tree Shoppe and was so excited that it had a "W" on it for WeeBeeStampin or Wendy! I thought it'd make a great prop for my Fall/Halloween projects!

Freshly Made Sketches Week #51 Card:

Stamps: Stampendous
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP
Accessories: MS Spider Web Border Punch, 2 Sided Tape

Merry Monday Challenge Week #31

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's Labor Day here and hopefully it'll be a nice relaxing day here at the Aungst residence!
Today is also my birthday!

My kids threw a family party last nite to celebrate my Dad's recent birthday, my son in law, Berto, and my birthday. Unfortunately, my Dad ended up very sick and unable to get out of bed. I'm very bummed about that because I was looking forward to celebrating his special day! He has this medical condition where his legs swell and then he ends up sick for a day or 2. I'm not sure what the condition is called but over the years it has become quite serious, so i'm a bit concerned. Anyways, both my brother's came with their wives and the kids with my hubby all helped to celebrate. Was a good day!

So, here we are at another Merry Monday! Lesley has another neat sketch for us this week. Pop on over to her blog, Always Playing With Paper and check out what the other Merry Makers have created this week. I also hope you can find some time this week to pull out those Christmas supplies and play along!

Here is the sketch and my sample....

Merry Monday Challenge Week #31 Card:

Stamps: Stampendous Sentiment
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Neenah White, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP (retired), Red Glitter Paper
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilties, Itty Bitty Dies (SU), Frosted Glass Beads, Holly & Ribbons EF, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I went with a Christmas Thank You card because I usually need these durning the holidays to send out to people or customers have a need for them. I really liked this sketch and was quite pleased that it did not take long at all to create. Thanks Lesley for some super awesome sketches! These make it so helpful on getting these cards made for the holidays and I promise I won't be stressed this year! :)

Well, that is all for today!
Off to enjoy the day with hubby!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Oh and Happy Labor Day!
