Retiring Day #10

 Hello & Happy Friday!

It's surely been an emotional week but since I still have retiring projects to share, I decided to continue on with that. Thankfully all the projects are already made!

Today is day #10 of sharing a retiring project from Stampin Up!
The stamp set is A Good Man from page 46 of the 2021-2022 Stampin Up! Annual Catalog.
It's a great masculine set that has wonderful images in as well as sentiments!

Also retiring is the Bark 3D EF that I used on the front of my card.
The texture reminds me of water and I thought it looked good with my beachy image.

This image reminds me of Shawn because he sits with his hat pulled down over his eyes while taking a nap!

Card Details:

Stamps: A Good Man
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin Blends- Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Pool Party & Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, Basic White
Accessories: Bark 3D EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Rectangles Framelits, Linen Thread, Waves Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Before I close this out I want to say Thank You for all the kinds words about Gigi.
She was truly a wonderful doggy!

My thoughts today...

We've had rain since Tuesday and this morning we woke up to sunshine!
How wonderful and will help put a spring in my step!
After the last few days of feeling blue this sunshine is much welcomed even if it is short lived.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

2020 Masculine Calendar Pt 2

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have the last 6 months of Shawn's calendars to share with you!
I hope you enjoy them!

For July I should have done something different since it is a special month.
We will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this year!

For September I used a retired set called Nailed It.
It has coordinating Framelits but I forget the name.
Shawn is a Maintenance Manager so I thought the tools would look great!
And the sentiment was spot on!

This was a really fun calendar to make!
I'm not sure I could improve it for next year!
We'll just have to wait and see!

My thoughts today...

I'm truly blessed with an awesome hubby!

That's all for now!

The Paper Players Challenge #449

Hello & Happy Friday!

I'm glad the weekend is here!

Today I have a card to share that I made for the Paper Players Challenge this week!
It stumped me at first and made me think a bit.
I was going to make a card with a crab on it since I love to go crabbing at the bay during the summer.
It was a favorite thing to do every summer when we went to the beach.
But is crabbing a water sport?
So, I grabbed my Sail Away boat and made a masculine card!
I'm always in need of masculine cards!

Here is the challenge and my samples....

The Come Sail Away DSP is perfect for this challenge!
I used the retired Sail Away stamp as my focal image and took my blender pen and pulled some of that Night of Navy ink onto the image where there is shading.
My sentiment is from A Good Man set. I punched that with the Classic Label Punch (LOVE THAT THING) and I popped it up with 2 mini dimensionals.
Lastly, I added my anchor from the Sail Away Trinkets and tied a bow with Whisper White Twine.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sail Away (retired), A Good Man
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Sail Away Trinkets, White Twine, Blender Pen, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Still think I should have made the crab card! LOL
But i'm happy with my card in the end and that's all that matters!
Hope you like it too!

A Good Man

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Before I get to my card today I wanted to share a picture.
If you read my blog daily you will know that I said on my Monday post that I was looking for a picture of the first time I met LeAnne Pugliese.
Yesterday instead of stamping....I searched my computer from top to bottom and I found it!

This is from Saturday June 7, 2008

from left to right is:
LeAnne Pugliese, Denise Marzec, Jen Nevil and me.

I'm happy now that I found it because it was driving me nuts not knowing where it was!

So, let's get to my card....

This card was made for my wonderful hubby but I forgot to give it to him on Sunday for Father's Day. Opps!
This set is called A Good Man and it's new! I had to get the set first because I loved the images & sentiments in it! It's one of those sets that I can use on a daily basis and this image reminded me so much of Shawn because he always flips his hat down over his face and takes a nap!

Card Details:

Stamps: A Good Man
Ink: Memento Black, Night of Navy, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Night of Navy DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Night of Navy Enamel Heart (retired), Crumb Cake Ribbon, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The Stampin Blends make coloring a snap!

Relax Your Way

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

A late start for me this morning!
The last few days have been busy and it was catching up with me.
My back is bothering me after bathing my dogs on Sunday and yesterday I proceeded to do my house cleaning. I was ready for bed by 7 last evening and headed there shortly after.
It was still light outside but that didn't matter.
My body had enough...

Today I have a cool masculine card to share using some of the Come Sail Away DSP.
I love to mix old with new and that's what I did with this one....

Of course, the DSP is new but the main image is from many years ago called Sail Away.
It's one of my most loved masculine stamps and goes beautifully with this pack of paper!
Do you see that I used those gorgeous Stitched Nested Dies?
They are amazing!
My sentiment comes from the A Good Man stamp set.
It was stamped with Night of Navy ink and punched out with the Classic Label Punch.
My sailboat was also stamped in Night of Navy and I took a SU Blender Pen and took the ink around in certain areas to show the shading. That was a tip I learned from Debbie Henderson recently.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sail Away (retired), A Good Man
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP
Accessories: Stitched Nested Dies, Classic Label Punch, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots, Blender Pen, Mini Dimensionals, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I know recently I have gotten quite a few new stamps but I always love to add in my old stamps as well. Sometimes the older stamps are exactly what we need for that special card/project!
