Happy Retirement

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have a card to share that was made for Audrey's card order.
This was for a gentlemen that will be retiring soon and she did not request anything in particular for this one so I kept it simple.

Card Details:

Stamps: Inky Antics
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, unknown patterned paper
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Thinlits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Tailor Made Tags Dies, Early Espresso Suede Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I got Audrey's card order delivered to her last evening and she was so thrilled with all the cards! Her grandson was there visiting her with the one great granddaughter! Malia will be 1 in July and is just the most pleasant little girl and she had her ears pierced, too! Audrey was so thrilled with their visit so I did not stick around long because I did not want to intrude on her family time. But she just had her hair done and looked amazing!

Valentine's Day Fun Fold

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I am sharing the 5th card from last Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
This was the last card I created for that event and a fun one, too!
I saw a card on the Facebook Stampin Up! Demonstrator page which did not give the measurements so I sat and played with it until I got it to look like the card that was shown. The sample used the Thanks A Bunch stamp set which is a SaleABRation stamp set and I used the Country Bouquet stamp set to create a Valentines Day card for the girls. I don't know if there is a particular name for this fun fold but I called it a Flip Flap Fun Fold. Say that 5 times! LOL

This was a hard one to get a good picture of!
If you look at picture #4 you will get the idea of how this card looks when opened.

The girls loved making this one as it is easier than it looks!
The hearts & leaves on the front were punched out of the Country Lane Floral DSP using the Country Bouquet Punch. That also made it easier and much quicker.
I will be using this fun fold again at another of our get togethers soon!

I will list the measurements down below if you interested in trying your hand at making one.

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet, Inky Antics (inside sentiment)
Ink: Sweet Sorbet
Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet, Pale Papaya, Basic White, Country Lane Floral DSP
Accessories: Country Bouquet Punch, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Dies, Iridescent Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Flip Flap Fun Fold Card:

Card base measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
On the front panel you want to cut on the diagonal from the scored fold at the top to the opposite corner on the bottom.
The inside flap measures 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
Decorate as you please and have fun!

Hope you will give this a try!

Happy Hearts

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

A wet & rainy day is on tap here in south central PA with temps in the high 40's!
Yesterday the sunshine felt wonderful and melted a good bit of our snow.
I hope today it continues to melt before more cold & yukky weather comes tomorrow.

Today I have another cute Valentine's Day card to share.
I have been on a roll with the Sweet Talk DSP this year!
It's from the Stampin Up! 2022 January - June Mini Catalog.

I love the font on my sentiment panel which is an old one from Inky Antics!
My pretty heart dies are made using the Many Hearts Dies which retired last year.
I thought it all went well with the Sweet Talk DSP!
I do think it's one of my favorites this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Inky Antics
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Basic White, Real Red, Sweet Talk DSP
Accessories: Gingham EF, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Many Hearts Dies (retired), Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon, Red Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That is all from me for now!

Gone Fishin'

Hello & Happy Saturday!!!

Yesterday I was at my stamp table all day since Kelsey bailed on me.
It's all good though!
She was asked to work on her day off so why not, she can make a few extra bucks!

I had stuff all over my stamp table but I enjoyed making cards for my card rack!
Retirement cards was one slot that was empty and I needed to remedy that!

I pulled out some Basic Grey Granola Paper that I have a few sheets/pieces left.
This was always a favorite of mine from Basic Grey.
I thought it went well with my fish image.
The sentiment on the front is from a retired set called Beach Happy.
It, too, worked well for my retirement card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Fish- DRS Designs, Beach Happy (retired)
Inside: Sentiment from Inky Antics, Fish from Fly Fishin (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey Granola
Accessories: Hammered Metal EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was pretty happy with this card when it was finished.
I still need to make a few more on another day!

A cold day is on tap here in South Central Pennsylvania!
I plan to get out this morning to run some errands and head back home to catch up on some stamping! Might be the best place to be since our temperatures are cold and God knows my body does not handle the cold very well anymore.

Today I have a card set to share that was made for my customer.
She loves to send cards everyday!

My sentiment is from Inky Antics and I absolutely love this Painted With Love Specialty Paper because of the Gold Foil in it. It's so pretty!

Stamps: Sentiment stamp from Inky Antics
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Gold Foil, Painted With Love Specialty Paper

Just a quick update on my hubby...

Yesterday he finally had his root canal done after suffering for a week with pain. The pain was so bad he cried and trying to get someone to do the root canal was literally like pulling teeth! His own dentist does not do them and sends you to a specialist. The specialist put it off until this coming Monday!! He was is so much pain but it seems like no one cared. He found a dentist in Maryland about a mile from work that took him right away and did the root canal. He came home smiling but you could see in his eyes he was drained from lack of sleep. He thanked the dentist a million times before leaving her office yesterday because someone finally listened to how much pain he was in. He came home yesterday afternoon, filled his belly with hot soup, took a shower and slept until 8am this morning! Yes, he was that exhausted but feels 100% better and for that i'm thankful he's no longer hurting!!

Color Challenge 332

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS and you know me...I like to play along when I can!
The colors this week are: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and a newbie, Pool Party!
Pool Party reminds me of a mix between Cool Caribbean & Soft Sky! Very pretty!
So, as I was combing my stamp shelves on this late nite or should I say early morning, I found this old stamp set that seemed like it would go well with those colors. The set is called Schooner.

Color Challenge #332 Card:

Stamps: Schooner(set #87), Sentiment from Inky Antics
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party, Neenah White, DSP from DCWV
Accessories: Mesh Dots Embossing Folder, EK Success Wavy Border Punch, Lg & Scallop Oval Punches, Silver Circle Clip & Beads, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Chocolate Twine, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

I think I like these colors together! What do you think?

Well, it's going on 2 am here and I really need to get some sleep!

Set Your Sails

Hello & Happy Sunday!

The last few days here in Missouri it has been beautiful! Saturday temperatures hit 75 and boy, I just hated to see the day end. Today, we got a reality check....back to the 30's and walking Fluffy this afternoon those winds were bitterly cold. The next few days now they are calling for rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow. Just a reminder that it is still winter.

I've been working on a card order the last few days and today I had to work on masculine cards. I enjoy making them! I dug out some unmounted stamps and got to work.

I was digging thru old designer papers and just trying to use some of them up but honestly if I was to never buy any more paper i'd have enough to last me 10 years! LOL Next year I think that will be my next challenge....use up designer papers! :)

Set Your Sails Card:

Stamps: Sailboat from Class Act, Sentiment from Inky Antics
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Cool Caribbean, White, DCWV Retro Pack
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Modern Label Punch, EK Success Wavy Border Punch, Satin Chocolate Ribbon, Cuttlebug Mesh Dots Embossing Folder, Gold Brads, Gold Charm, Scor Tape

I'm off to finish up one last card for the day!
I'll be back shortly to post it then off to bed.

Snowman Soup Tins

Happy Saturday, friends!

Hope your day is going great so far! Busy day ahead once again for us. Tonight we have a Christmas Party to attend at Shawn's boss's house and we have food to prepare to take plus I need to get Fluffy to the park for her daily walk before the nasty cold front gets here in MO today! They are talking wind chills at zero with snow flurries! Yikes, I so don't like the sounds of that!

So, before I head out the door I wanna share with you a sweet little treat that I made for the craft show. I used those famous nugget tins and made snowman soups with them! The stamps I got last year from Addicted to Rubber Stamps are from Inky Antics. This set is all about making snowman soups! Different images & sentiments included and that is what caught my eye. I only took one pic of them before I shipped them back to PA but I think it's a decent picture. Take a look....

Each tin is filled with one package of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate, an individual pack of marshmellows, Hershey Kisses and a candy cane. So fun to make and i'm sure by days end i'll wish I had one of these to warm me up!

Snowman Soup Tins:

Stamps: Snowman Soup from Inky Antics
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake, GP White, My Mind's Eye DSP
Accessories: Nugget Tins, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, PTI Button, PTI Twine, Glue Dots, Score Tape

Stay warm everyone!

Have a great day & thank you for stopping by!

Happy Holidays!
