Can't Thank You Enough

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A hot & humid day is on tap with thunderstorms off & on all day!
I'm going to try to hide downstairs and do some stamping to pass the time.

Today I have a set of Thank You cards to share that I whipped up a few weeks ago for my card rack. They did not last long as my card lady needed a pack on her last order. This set was inspired by someone on a Facebook page I belong too and they use retired products.

Card Details:

Stamps: So Sentimental (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, White Craft Pad
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Basic White, Botanical Butterfly DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Brilliant Wings Dies, Layered Leaves 3D EF (retired), Highland Heather Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have so much retired stuff in my stash that pulling it out and using it again just makes me smile!
I used one of the Wonder Recipes for the card design.
Each piece of DSP measures 2x3 that are adhered on top of the embossed panel.
Any time you use an embossing folder it gives your card some nice texture!

Beautiful Day Butterfly

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your having a good week!

Today I have another card to share made using retiring products.

Beautiful Day is the stamp set that has been in collection for a few years.
It's a fun one with easy to color images.

Also on my card I used the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder which is retiring too.
This is probably one of my most favorite embossing folders!
Sometimes I hate change! LOL

I stamped my butterfly image with Memento Black and then colored with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & Rich Razzleberry Stampin Blends.
Then on the Rich Razzleberry section I put on a thin coat of Wink of Stella for some sparkle!
I really love the colors, don't you?!

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Day
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Accessories: Layered Leaves EF, Rich Razzleberry Enamel Dots (retired), Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon, Wink of Stella, Glue Dots, Dimensionals. Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stay tuned for tomorrow!
I have one more card to share that uses retiring products!
You won't want to miss it!

Good Morning Magnolia Pocket Card

Good Morning & Happy Friday!
Happy May 1st, too!

Yesterday sure was a total washout!
It rained darn near all day with heavy downpours and gusty winds!
It's crazy how our weather is anymore!

I went downstairs to stamp then ended up cleaning the bathroom and getting my basement back together. I don't think it's been cleaned since Ryan was staying down there during the bathroom renovation. Believe me, it needed it...BADLY!

Today I plan to go do some stamping.
I have really been unmotivated in the last few weeks.
Yesterday the Dermatologist office called to cancel my appointment which was rescheduled twice already thanks to COVID 19. It's now been pushed to the first week of August!
My Psoriasis has been pretty good but as of late I am getting some new spots on my leg.
It may be time to get a few sessions in the tanning bed to keep it at bay.

Today I have another cool card to share that was part of Debbie's Facebook Live a few weeks ago.
I have not participated in any of her FB Lives in the last 2 weeks with working on a huge card order.
This was so much fun! We made a different type of Pocket Card.

This card reminds me of a postcard with a pocket in the front!
So cute!
I'm telling you, that Debbie has all kinds of creativity!
I made mine with the same measurements & products that she listed but decorated mine different.
The Good Morning Magnolia Suite is amazing and one of my favorites!
The DSP is equally as pretty and very well loved in my stamp room!
The Magnolia Lane DSP is now on the retiring list!
I had to order another pack before it's gone!

Card Details:

Stamps: Good Morning Magnolia
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Magnolia Lane DSP
Accessories: Magnolia Memory Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Layered Leaves EF, Petal Pink/Champagne Ribbon, Champagne Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The backside of my pocket card I placed a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock and fancied it up but totally forgot to take a picture of it!
If I remember I will take a picture of it and post for you to see!
This is definitely a fun fold that is easy peasy to create!

Fall Anniversary 1

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am slowly getting my ducks in a row for my big stamping event on Saturday evening!
I am having the stamp girls over to make some Halloween cards for this year's World Card Making Day! Every year I try to have something to bring us together and make it a fun day.
It's going to be Spooktacular! hehe
I will have more on that soon!

We are making a run at a 90 degree day here in south central PA!
It's quite crazy that my ac needs to be on in October!!!
This heat & humidity is to be short lived and by the end of the week it will finally feel like Fall!
Hang in there, my friends!!!

I do have the second Fall Anniversary card to share today that I made for my customer.

Isn't that paper so pretty?
This is Autumn Vine DSP and it came out in the Holiday Mini Catalog in 2008.
I have about 3/4 of the pack left so I will focus more on using this soon.
It has a bunch of retired colors in it like...More Mustard, Sage Shadow, Really Rust & Chocolate Chip. Anyone remember them?

Card Details:

Stamps: Special Celebrations
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: More Mustard, Whisper White, Really Rust, Autumn Vine DSP (retired)
Accessories: Layered Leaves EF, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Gold Rhinestones, Mint Macaron 1/4 Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love mixing old stuff with new!

Beautiful Friendship

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going smoothly!
Yesterday our weather was absolutely perfect!
Almost a tad chilly but I am not complaining!
Kelsey came over and helped Shawn with taking Gigi & Bailee to their Vet appointments.
What should have taken an hour at most ended up being 2 hours, not sure why.
All went well though and both are up to date on vaccines.
Gigi will be returning in November for a teeth cleaning. This has been a long time coming!
A bad experience with Fluffy years ago has made Shawn drag his feet with getting Gigi's done but I told him it will improve her quality of life and help her feel better PLUS this is a different Vet than who did Fluffy's. I'm glad he scheduled her for it!

So today is going to be a very busy day!!!
Mr Aungst has to travel to Westminster MD to pick up a part sometime this morning then go to work.
He is waiting on the call that it is ready for pickup.
His phone rang a bunch of times during the night so I know he's tired.
It will be early to bed tonight!

I am off to get my day started and work on that big card order.
Yesterday I did not get much accomplished as I had another headache.
It's the change in the weather and it's driving my sinuses crazy.
I hope today is a better day!

The card I have to share today was made for my customers order.
She loves the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship set but asked if I could do them in Fall colors.
And no saying. I gave it a shot...

The no saying cards drive me crazy to make but this set came out nicely for a change.
My customer likes to use these for any occasion that would come up.
One things for sure, she loves her cards!

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Friendship
Ink: So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Layered Leaves EF, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I cased myself on these but changed up the colors.
I made a mask on the top of the main bundle of flowers so I could stamp the Pumpkin flowers and make them look like the were growing behind the saffron flowers.
This is a fun and easy set to use and I think she will be happy with them!

Happy Autumn!

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Saturday night I popped out to our local Hobby Lobby to grab a few things then hit up the grocery store. It was a summer like weekend with heat & humidity.
Yep, you guessed it, my AC is back on!

Yesterday we watched football and our team lost to the KC Chiefs.
They are a good team although we did not lose to them by much.
I sat and crafted while the game was on but Shawn was yelling at the tv almost the entire game.
Win some, lose some....that is just the way the cookie crumbles!

Today is the 1st day of Autumn! Woohoo!
I have a pack of cards to share that I made for my customer that has a Fall feel to them...

These used retired products such as the Painted Autumn DSP and the Wishing You Well stamp set.
My sentiment comes from Amuse.
Such pretty Fall colors that she is sure to love!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wishing You Well (retired), Sentiment from Amuse
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil Paper, Painted Autumn DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Layering Leaves EF, Classic Label Punch, Vanilla/Copper Trimmed Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I just got a huge card order from her so I will be busy working on that this week!
Just hope this headache goes away soon...
Sinus related, i'm sure!

Happy Anniversary

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Our weekend was not off to a good start yesterday as Shawn's phone rang all night long.
He eventually ended up going in and being there a few hours.
We already had our day planned with exchanging our HD cable box at Comcast then getting out for a bike ride. That completely went out the window.
As I have said, his weekends are not his own and this job is taking a toll on him.
And if you know me.....I am worried about him and my psoriasis is starting to flare.
Something at this job ABSOLUTELY has to change or I know him.....he will start looking elsewhere!
He's at work 14-15 hrs a day so our evenings are shot. And of course then we look forward to the weekends to do things and I was less than amused with lack of sleep and not having a fun day to unwind. Maybe today will be the day....time will tell.

So, I am going to share another card from my last Stamp Day w Friends.
This card was another winner in everyone's book!

That pretty white panel is from last years annual catalog and it is called Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper. There are quite a few different designs in this pack that can be cut apart and used on cards or projects. This is the first I cut into that pack and what a surprise it was!
I will most likely use this paper again but a different design because the girls loved it especially with the Petal Promenade DSP.  That paper is retired too but as I keep saying....i'm using this stuff up, piece by piece!

Card Details:

Stamps: unknown Anniversary sentiment
Ink: Grapefruit Grove
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Grapefruit Grove, Petal Promenade DSP (retired), Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper (retired)
Accessories: Layered Leaves EF, Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon, Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge 317

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well so far!

I found a new to me challenge and decided to play along!
Here is the link to the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.

Here is their sketch and my samples....

I flipped the sketch so I could use the horse from Let It Ride.

My card is made for a dear childhood friend who lost her mother last Friday.
The family loves horses and boards them on their farm so that is why I made a sympathy card with the horse.

Card Details:

Stamps: Let It Ride, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake DSP (retired)
Accessories: Layered Leaves EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon, White Pearls, Blender Pen, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This sketch was perfect for my card!
I hope it will give my friend some comfort in the difficult days ahead....

Today I have a quick card to share made using The Paper Players sketch this week.

With Mother's Day fast approaching I needed some help in getting a few cards made for a few special people. This layout was easy and it did not take long to whip this up!

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Memento Black
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Layering Leaves EF, Organdy Ribbon (SAB 19), Gold Metallic Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

A super fun sketch to the rescue!

Paper Pumpkin

Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

I have a quick card to share today using April's Paper Pumpkin Kit.
It arrived last Thursday and that evening I whipped this card up with the stamp set that came with it.

I really wanted this kit because the stamp set that was included was a Distinktive set.
You know how much I love this style of stamps!

Gray Granite was the ink spot included and I did not want a gray flower.
Since the kit has Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo in it, I ran with those 2 colors.

I'm really happy with this!

Card Details:

Stamps: April Paper Pumpkin Kit
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, Memento Black
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Layered Leaves EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Mint Macaron 3/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I like that big flower included in this kit and will use it more often.
It came with a bunch of different sayings too which is a plus!
After I received my kit last week I canceled my subscription.
I hated to do it but I am going to work hard on using what I already have!
You'll be seeing more of this beautiful bloom in the coming weeks!

Happy Thanksgiving Card Set #3

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well so far!
1 more day until the weekend but i'm not sure I am looking too forward to it since we have an artic cold front coming thru! Our temps are to dive down into the 20's & 30's! Burrrr! I'm sure that is going to give us a reality check!

So today I am sharing the last pack of cards I made my customer. She requested 3 packs and this is the 3rd set. I found this card layout from one of Debbie Henderson's customers or downlines. Not sure which but seen it posted on Debbie's blog and ran with casing the idea but also adding a few of my own changes to it.

I'm not sure if you can see or not the beautiful leaf design on the cardbase?
I used the new 3-D Dynamic Textured Layered Leaves Embossing Folder! WOW is all I can say about those type of embossing folders! They add so much texture to any card!

Happy Thanksgiving Set #3:

Stamps: More Great Greetings (retired)
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla Thick, Very Vanilla, Color Me Autumn DSP (retired)
Accessories: Layered Leaves 3-D EF, Seasonal Layers Thinlits (leaf), Circle Layering Framelits, Crushed Curry Twine, Triple Banner Punch, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hard to believe we are 2 weeks today away from Thanksgiving!
Time sure does fly!

My thoughts today.....

I had my doctor appointment for a check up yesterday but also I have been dealing with a rash from one end of my body to the other. Doctor gave me more medicine to take plus another topical creme but this time he finally scraped my one lesion and looked at it under a microscope which he has never done before to get an exact diagnosis. I just hope something soon works for this. The itching drives me crazy! LOL Other than that I had a good appointment and I will say that I really like my family doctor, too! A good doctor is sometimes very hard to find!!!

That is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
