BOO!

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!

Yesterday the weather was a perfect 10!
Shawn mowed while I got all my flower boxes cleaned up as well as the front & back porches.
Today is a cool & cloudy morning.
Rain is expected around midday so i'm glad we got the outside chores done yesterday!

I've got a Halloween card to share today that I made last week!
This one uses the cool starburst technique.

When I started this card I wasn't quite sure how it was going to turn out using the Magic in this Night DSP. After a few cardstock color changes I was very pleased with the outcome!
I was afraid it would be too dark for a Halloween card.
I think the pop of color from the Cajun Craze and the Pretty Peacock help!

My sentiment was stamped from the Banner Year stamp set.
The bats are from Festive Post.

Card Details:

Stamps: Banner Year, Festive Post
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Basic Black Archival (retired)
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Magic in this Night DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Black Glittered Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you like these!
The starburst technique is a fun one once you figure out your paper pieces.
It also helps to use up those scrap pieces which we all have!

My thoughts today...

It sure has been a hot & very humid August....matter of fact, it's been downright tropical all summer.
While I like the nice warm sunshine, i'm not a fan of the humidity.
I'm ready for some cooler days with brilliant blue skies and sunshine!
Goodbye August.....Bring on September!

Thanks for stopping by & have a marvelous Monday!

Birthday Fishes

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

Hope your weekend is going well!

I spent most of yesterday at my stamp table while Shawn watched tv.
He found this show on the Smithsonian Channel called Mighty Trains.
I think we did an all day binge of it! Neat show about trains from around the world!
I worked on some Halloween Treats and a few Christmas cards while we watched that.

Today the weather is much cooler and thankfully the humidity has gone down.
It was nice sleeping with the windows open last night and the AC is off!!

I got a cute card to share today that was requested by my card lady.
She wanted a cutesy card made for a little boy who was turning 2 that loves to go fishing with his Dad.
I looked high & low and found nothing in my Stampin Up stash for a little one.
Then I searched thru my "contraband" stash and found this cute paper from K&Company.
It worked!

The blue paper has water bubbles on it and those adorable fish worked perfectly for this card!
I kept it simple and left the paper do all the work.
My sentiment comes from an old Papertreyink stamp set.
My card lady was really happy with this which I was happy about since it sorta stressed me out not being able to find anything.
It did turn out rather cute!

Card Details:

Stamps: Papertreyink- Pond Life Sentiments
Ink: Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, K&Company -Berry Sweet
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I probably should make more of these kind of kids cards up for on my card rack.
They are good sellers if I have them made up ahead of time!

Dove of Hope

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Yesterday turned out to be pretty stormy here once late afternoon came.
We needed every drop of rain that fell with today bringing more!
Shawn is off to get the truck inspected this morning then a quick trip to Walmart & the Post Office.
I am headed to my stamp table to work on a few Halloween treats plus do laundry.
It's to be a rainy day so what better to do, right?

I have a Christmas card to share that I made last week using the Dove of Hope Bundle from the 2020 August - December Mini Catalog. It is on page 13.
A beautiful set at that!

I started out by diecutting the dove and glueing it all together.
So pretty and the dies cut very nicely!
Next I pulled out a pack of retired Noble Peacock Foil Paper that I never used.
This blue sheet is Blueberry Bushel which is long retired but definitely will live on in my craft room!
I took a piece and run it thru the Big Shot with the Winter Snow EF and look how pretty that looks?!
I then layered it onto a Thick Whisper White cardbase and added my dove. Ughh so pretty!
All I needed yet was a sentiment so I pulled out the Peace Joy Love sentiment from the Dove of Hope stamp set and stamped in on a Stitched Rectangle in Blueberry Bushel ink.
Lastly I added a few rhinestones and called it done.

Card Details:

Stamps: Dove of Hope
Ink: Blueberry Bushel (retired)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Noble Peacock Foil Paper (retired)
Accessories: Detailed Dove Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Winter Snow EF, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was so thrilled with this!
I think the foil paper really made the dove pop here!
I know the pictures don't do it justice because foil paper is SO hard to photograph but it really is pretty in real life!

Pretty Sunflowers

Hello & Happy Friday, Everyone!

I'm glad the weekend is here and I have no plans!
The last several weekends have been busy so it will be nice to actually sleep in for a change!
Tomorrow is to be a rainy/stormy day here with what's left of the hurricane/tropical storm.
We really could use some rain...
The trees are starting to drop dried up leaves and the grass looks about the same.

Today I have a set of cards to share that were made for a customer order.
It's that time of year where she wants everything sunflower!

I started these with a Thick Whisper White cardbase then added a layer of Bumble Bee cardstock,
I took the sunflowers from the Jar of Flowers set and stamped it randomly all over the Bumble Bee cardstock in Versamark. I did not want a bold image so that is why I went with the Versamark.
The bottom half of the layer I added a piece of Bumble Bee DSP with those cute polka dots on it!
Then I stamped my sunflower image from Celebrating Sunflowers stamp set on Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink. I diecut them with the Circle Layering Dies then colored them with my Stampin Blends. Since we do not have Bumble Bee in the Stampin Blends I used a mix of Light Daffodil Delight and Dark Mango Melody. The center was colored with both Light & Dark Cinnamon Cider and the leaves were colored with both Light & Dark Just Jade Blends.
Lastly, I added 2 Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots & a bow tied with Bumble Bee Ribbon.
Everything is flat so it should not be too bulky for mailing.

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Flowers, Celebrating Sunflowers
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends, Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bumble Bee, Whisper White, Bumble Bee DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots, Bumble Bee Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady did not want a saying on these so she can use them for different things.
She loves to write her own messages inside which she is very good at!
Me, not so much!
These were fun to make and i'm pleased with how they turned out!

That's all for now!

Halloween Fun Fold Card

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday we had such a nice day!
Having the windows open letting the fresh air blow in was super nice!
Today we are back in the heat & humidity so my AC being turned off was short lived.

I'm going to spend the day in my stamp room but before I head there I want to share another Halloween card using a different fun fold! Here is the link to the video on how to create it....

I love all these fun folds that people have been sharing lately!
Have you given any of them a try?

Card Details:

Stamps: Ghoulish Goodies, Banner Year
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Magic in this Night DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Gift Bow Builder Punch, Rhinestones, Black/Silver Twine (retired PP Kit), Mini Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another way to showcase different prints in the DSP packs is with this fun fold card!
I'm not all that crazy about this pack but I am determined to use it as much as I can!
Give this one a try! You'll love it!

Forever Greenry Anniversary Card

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Halfway thru the week already!
It sure has been a hot one here in PA!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at my stamp table.
I needed to work on a card for my card lady!.
She requested an anniversary card for someone in her family so I tried to make it special and this is what I made...

I love everything about this except for the way the liquid glue gets on the foil paper!
It's a bugger to get off! I use Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue for all my cardmaking anymore because it is strong and gives me time to get my pieces in the right place before it dries. Some of it leaked out on the holes on the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper! I needed to take a soft cloth over it to get it off. Kinda frustrating but next time I will use either Stampin Seal or 2 Sided Tape.

I also used the Gold Hoops Embellishments on this which I love!
It is sandwiched on there with 2 Mini Dimensionals and my sentiment panel sits right over top of them to hide them.  I love how this turned out!!

Card Details:

Stamps: Forever Fern, Many Mates
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Soft Seafoam, Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper, Forever Greenry DSP
Accessories: Tailored Tag Punch, Gold Hoops Embellishments, Pretty Peacock & Old Olive Ribbon, Noble Peacock Rhinestones (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I know the photo isn't all that great but Foil Paper is so hard to photograph.
I really do like this one! Hope my card lady does too!

My thoughts today...

Not anymore!
I definitely will forget so I write myself notes all the time!
You too?!?

Festive Post To You & Yours

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I've got a pretty holiday card for you today!
This one uses the Heartwarming Hugs DSP and the Festive Post set from the August - December Mini Catalog!

This is another great way to showcase these beautiful papers!
I have 3 different pieces showing on the front and like I said before, this Heartwarming Hugs DSP could be used all year long as there are no patterns for Christmas, just the red & green colors!
Very versatile!

My deer & sentiment come from the Festive Post stamp set.
This set coordinates with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch which I did not use here.
I diecut him on the Circle Layering Framelits and added my sentiment from a scrap of Whisper White which I just hand cut the ends with my Paper Snips.
Then I added a Red Rhinestone on the deer nose!

Card Details:

Stamps: Festive Post
Ink: Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Real Red, Whsiper White, Mossy Meadow, Heartwarming Hugs DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Real Red Braided Linen Ribbon, Real Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals & Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Christmas is a favorite holiday and this year I am having so much fun playing with all the different stamp sets, dies and papers from the August - December Mini Catalog!
Can't wait to share much more with you in the coming months!

Tasteful Touches Gift Bags

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
My girls got groomed and I must say they look fabulous!
It was pretty stinkin hot & humid out again!
I stayed in and did some stamping on Saturday & Sunday, even snuck a nap in there on Saturday!
Worked on some Halloween treats & a pack of cards for my card lady.
Today, however, is my cleaning day, so no stamping for me.

I am sharing my decorated Gift Bags that I made the girls for my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together that was last weekend. These pictures did not turn out as nice as I had hoped and I can't retake them as the girls already took them home.

I used the new Tasteful Touches Bundle from the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog!
It is on pages 122-124.
A great set for men or women and the In Good Taste DSP is just as amazing!
I used some Rococo Rose Scallop Linen Ribbon on them.
It's not the best ribbon for tying a bow but I managed it!

Project Details:

Stamps: Tasteful Touches
Ink: Rococo Rose
Cardstock: Rococo Rose, Whisper White, In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Rococo Rose Scallop Linen Ribbon, In Color Faceted Gems (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I always make these bags up for the girls for Stamp Day and also for card orders.
The last batch I picked up at the Dollar Tree were pretty chewed up!
Looked like they came thru a hurricane so i'm not sure what is going on.
I always recommend the Dollar Tree for the white gift bags but being that they were not glued very well and all wrinkled, i'm not sure I will continue using theirs. I use to get them at AC Moore, too, but now that they are closed....what's a crafter to do?!
Time will tell...

My thoughts today...

Funny, that's exactly how I look & feel when doing my mopping, too!
LOL

Anyways.....
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Heartwarming Hugs

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

My girls are off to doggy day spa this morning and both my guys (Shawn & Ryan) are getting haircuts! After that I will probably work on some laundry and maybe start working on a card order. I said my weekend was gonna be boring since the heat & humidity are back.

Today I have a cool card to share that I made with the Heartwarming Hugs Suite in the new August - December Mini Catalog. I love, love, love the prints in the paper and one way to showcase them is with a starburst card.

Aren't those colors & prints pretty?
This paper could be used all year long, not just for Christmas as there are no snowflakes or other prints resembling Christmas. I love how colorful this one is!

Card Details:

Stamps: Warm Hugs
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Heartwarming Hugs DSP
Accessories: Warm Wraps Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Real Red Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin Seal Adhesive

The Heartwarming Hugs Suite is on pages 8-11 in the August - December Mini Catalog.
Another of my favorites!
Well, who am I kidding....I love pretty much everything in the Mini Catalog this year!

NEW- Love of Leaves Bundle!!

 Hello & Happy Friday!!!

I'm so glad the weekend is here!

Today I have a card to share that was made with a new stamp set from the August - December Mini Catalog. This is a bundle called Love of Leaves on page 49.
I will be honest....it wasn't on my radar until I seen a few cards posted with it.
All the stitching on these dies is amazing!

Since Stampin Up! now makes their own dies I can't tell you how nicely they cut!
I did get the new Stampin Up! Diecut & Embossing Machine but have not touched it yet since the Magnetic plate is not available. I heard others say it's so smooth when they run their plates thru it unlike the bumps & noises that the Big Shot makes. Once I get the Magnetic Plate I will break it in!

So this card just happened one day as I was playing around with those amazing dies!
Do you see all the stitching it does around each leaf?

Card Details:

Stamps: Love of Leaves
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories: Stitched Leaves Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Hammered Metal EF, Banner Punch (retired), Gold Gilded Gems, Gold Cord, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I just love this bundle and see lots of cool things being made with it!

******************************************************************
My thoughts today...

My girls go to get groomed tomorrow morning and other than that my weekend is pretty boring! LOL
We rode our bikes the last 2 evenings so since it's to get hot & humid here again today thru Sunday we will hold off on that until a cooler day.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Happiest of Birthdays!

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have the last card to share with you that we made on Saturday at my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This one came together really quick and took us maybe 15 mins to complete it! It uses a new set from the Stampin Up Annual Catalog called Happiest of Birthdays from page 103.

We started with a Thick Whisper White cardbase.
Then added the piece of Bumble Bee cardstock and a piece of the Ornate Gardens Specialty Paper! Love that paper!
The sentiment was stamped with Bumble Bee ink onto Whisper White cardstock that was diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.
The flowers were punched from Whisper White cardstock using the Medium Daisy Punch.
The leaf was punched with Old Olive cardstock using the retired Leaf Punch.
We adhered everything together and added a few Champagne Rhinestones for sparkle!

Card Details:

Stamps: Happiest of Birthdays
Ink: Bumble Bee
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bumble Bee, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ornate Gardens Specialty Paper
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Medium Daisy Punch, Leaf Punch (retired), Champagne Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

A pretty Fall card, don't ya think?

Dino Days HB

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

Today I have the 4th card to share from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends. This one I created with kids in mind and it uses the stamp set, Dino Days!

Your probably wondering why I am showing 2 different cards?
I did that because Deb has a grandson whom she will use this card for and Miss Emily has granddaughters which she will use her card for. I changed up the color of the dinosaurs to accommodate their needs. I made a card of each so if anyone needs a birthday card for a child...i'm ready!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days, Many Mates
Ink: Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Lovely Lipstick (retired)
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Lovely Lipstick (retired), Whisper White, Old Olive DSP (retired), Dinoroar DSP (retired)
Accessories: Dino Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Hammered Metal EF, Dinoroar Enamel Shapes (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I know there are a few things on these cards that have retired but my girls don't mind that I am using up my stash! I like using a mix of old & new!

Hope you liked my card!
