July 4th Nugget Packs

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Can you believe that today is the last day of June!
We are half way thru 2016!

Yesterday our weather was absolutely beautiful!
After supper we packed up the bikes and headed to the Rail Trail for a nice ride.
The last we rode was Saturday because the weather has been so hot & humid.

So today I want to share the last thing I made for the July 4th holiday.
I used the new 2 x 8 sized cello bags that Stampin Up is carrying in the new catty. These are perfect for the Hershey Nuggets!

I fit 6 Hershey's Nuggets in the sleeve perfectly with plenty of room to tie on bow at the top. These are made of nice material. I have always been a fan of Stampin Up's cello bags!
Love them!!

July 4th Nugget Pack:

Stamp: More Great Greetings
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Pebbles DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, Whisper White & Night of Navy Baker's Twine, Small Star Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

This is the last of the July 4th treats for this year!
Before you know it, it will be time to move on to the Halloween goodies!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a Thinking of You card to share that I made up recently for an order.
I pulled out my pack of Birthday Bouquet DSP to try and use up some of my retired papers. I found this sheet with the pretty Watermelon Wonder flowers on it and used Patty Bennett's brilliant idea to use a sheet of DSP cut at 4 x 4 and then cut on a diagonal which puts the space in the middle to put a sentiment.  My sentiment comes from the Wetlands stamp set.

Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from Wetlands
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Cardstock: Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White
Accessories: Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Patriotic Snickers

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have another candy treat to share.
This time I used the bite sized Snickers that were decked out in their Red, White & Blue colors!
I absolutely love these candies in the patriotic colors!

I did these up the same way I did the Reese's PB Cups because it was quick & easy. I really just wanted to let the candy wrappers shine!

The sentiment is from Stampendous.
These will make a nice little treat for the July 4th holiday next week!

The best place to be!

Four Feathers Masculine Birthday

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
They always seem to go by so quickly, don't they?!

Today I have a masculine birthday card to share. Last Friday as I was browsing thru the Stampin Up catalog I noticed the new feather set in there called Feather Together. I wasn't real keen on the feathers but loved all the different sentiments in the set. It's on my Wish List but not a must have at the moment. It did remind me of the Four Feathers set I do have. I pulled it out and inked it up! My card rack can always use masculine cards!

Four Feathers Birthday Card:

Stamps: Four Feather, Butterfly Basics (sentiment)
Ink: Island Indigo, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories: 2 Sided Tape

And so on this bright sunny morning.....

Is cleaning the house a great thing?
I'm not thinking so but it's got to be done!

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!

Patriotic PB Cups

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It has turned out to be a gorgeous weekend here!

Yesterday my hubby & I took the bikes and headed to the Rail Trail for a ride. It turned out that we biked 10 miles! So proud of myself but I was a little sore afterwards. I do fine with my back when walking but biking makes it ache a bit. I really hope that gets better as time goes on. Anyways, we were 7 miles from the Maryland Line and I think one of these weekends we will conquer it!

So today I wanted to share another sweet treat I whipped up!
The candy companies did amazing things when they created the patriotic wrappers for them to celebrate the upcoming Olympics in Rio. I really love the wrappers on the Reese's PB Cups and put them in a cello bag with a topper. I made a bunch then ended up getting another order for them. They will definitely make a cute treat for the July 4th holiday but don't let them out in the heat or they will sadly melt.

The sentiment on the topper is from Stampendous.
The white panel is embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder.

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

4th of July French Fry Boxes

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Busy day ahead so i'm going to make this quick!

I made up some treats for the upcoming July 4th holiday.
I was very inspired by all the Red, White & Blue candy treats that the candy companies have brought out for the upcoming Olympics this summer in Rio. I was especially happy to find my beloved Red, White & Blue M&M's!!!! Oh and Kit Kats!

Anyways, I threw together some treats for the 4th which I will share over the next week as we approach the 4th.

Today is my French Fry Boxes.

My July 4th sentiment comes from an old retired SU stamp set from when I first got into stamping. I believe it was called More Great Greetings. I will double check that later and let you know for sure. The boxes themselves were leftover from last year and I just put the 4th saying on it. The little wooden clothes pins came from Walmart. The stars are from the Stars Framelits.
I filled my treat bags with Hershey Minatures, Kit Kats and Hershey Kisses.
I just love the wrapping on them! So festive & patriotic!

I know most of these items are retired but I hope it will inspire you to create a treat for your upcoming July 4th holiday!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful weekend!

Pretty Butterfly Card

Hello & Happy Friday!

Do you remember the butterfly diecut card I made one day this week...well, I made another in the same colors as Debbie Olchefski! Those colors are SO pretty together!

Those colors are:

Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach & Sweet Sugarplum
and all 3 are part of the New In Colors for 2016-2018!
These colors are very pretty together, aren't they?

Happy Birthday Butterfly Card:

Stamps: Cottage Greetings (sentiment), Work of Art
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Butterflies Thinlits, Rhinestones, Tombow Liquid

I bet this design would be pretty in some blue colors or even fall colors!
Humm, I might have to experiment!

WooHoo! Let the weekend begin!

More Fresh Fruit

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a good week so far!

Today I have more Fresh Fruit to share with you!
This time it's peaches!

I am a big fan of peaches!
Love them freshly cut up on ice cream or a good peach cobbler.
I may just have to make a batch of peach jelly this summer just so I can decorate the jar!
This set has so many possibilities! There is a pear, flowers, and a boatload of sentiments in the set. The DSP ( Designer Series Paper) is also very pretty!

The sentiment on this card is from Papertreyink.

You Are A Peach Card:

Stamps: Fresh Fruit, Papertreyink (sentiment)
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Fruit Stand DSP

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A new stamp set arrived yesterday and of course I had some time to ink it up!

With Sympathy

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Woke up to dark skies this morning and then the rain came. We needed it but now the sun is out shining brightly! Last evening we had a chance to get the bikes loaded up and went to the Rail Trail to ride. Surprisingly, there were not many people out walking or riding. We biked a little over 8 miles in less than an hour and I was completely zonked by the time we loaded the bikes back up and headed home. Shawn got a new bike for Father's Day and said how much more comfortable the new one is! Both of our bikes are Huffy Cruisers.

Anyways, today I have a Sympathy card to share. This was done for a card order a few weeks ago.

I kept this card as flat as possible so no extra postage needed. I used the Pretty Petals Paper Pad and Very Vanilla 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon which both are retired. I have SO much in retired papers & ribbons that I must get used up! I am really starting to like this Mint Macaron color. Reminds me of Sage Shadow from years ago!

Sympathy Card:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Rose Wonder Bundle
Ink: Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla, Pretty Petals DSP
Accessories: Very Vanilla 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Hard to believe that it's been 2 months today since Prince passed away.
Still so shocking and sad.
His music will definitely live on!

Work Of Art Butterfly

Hello & Happy Monday!

It sure is a hot one here in PA today!
Thought about taking the bikes out for a ride this evening but we shall see.
I am really enjoying this new adventure and I can finally say that I have hit my first weight loss goal!

Anyways, today I had some time to get inky. I was running out of steam trying to finish up this card...probably a sign I was up way to early this morning!

I seen a card that caught my eye last week from Dawn Olchefski .
Here is my case of her beautiful card...

I switched up the colors and used a different sentiment. I really love the soft colors that Debbie used on hers but I was looking for a bolder look. I used Dapper Denim (new In Color), Emerald Envy (new In Color) & Rich Razzleberry. I used the Work Of Art stamp set for the colored swatches and then cut out the butterfly using the Butterfly Thinlits. Once the butterfly is cut out, adhere your stamped piece or negative on your cardbase then put Tombow Liquid glue on the butterfly diecut but just in the midsection. You do NOT want to glue the entire butterfly down. I fluffed up the wings and added some small white pearls to finish it.

Diecut Butterfly Card:

Stamps: Sassy Salutations (retired), Work of Art
Ink: Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories< Butterfly Thinlits, Small White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Glue

Those ink swatches really make a pretty colorful card!

I couldn't agree more!
Happy Monday, friends!

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there, especially my own!

Today I have my Father's Day card that I made for my Dad.
Growing up we went to Ocean City, Maryland twice a summer. It was like a second home. The things we did and the memories we made will always be cherished. So, for my Dad, I had to make something to remind him of those wonderful memories of the days at the ocean.

The sentiment on my card I found at a little stamp store that has been out of business for many years now. It holds a special place in my heart and it truly is the way I feel about my Dad. If anyone has been my #1 fan all these years, beside my hubby, it's definitely my Dad!!!

Father's Day Card:

Stamps: From Land to Sea, Sentiment from CC Stamp Designs, Hardwood Background
Ink: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White Craft
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Smoky Slate Thick Twine, Rhinestones, Tombow Liquid Glue

Happy Father's Day to my Dad & my hubby!
You both are very special to me....

Also would like to take a minute to wish my niece, Megan, a very happy birthday!
Hope she has a fabulous day too!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Number of Years Anniversary

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today I have an Anniversary card to share.
I bought the Number of Years Bundle back a few months ago and I finally got to ink it up this past week. I'm always late to the party but lucky for me it is still available in the new SU catty but it's not being sold as a bundle.

I'm pretty thrilled with this set and the card!! I used a new In Color for this, Peekaboo Peach!
The ribbon is also very pretty and it ties a beautiful bow!

Happy Anniversary Card:

Stamps: Number of Years
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White
Accessories: Rhinestone, Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, Glue Dots, 2 Sided Tape

Last week my wonderful hubby got us bicycles to ride and a rack for our car.
After a few adjustments on our bikes, yesterday we took our first ride on the Rail Trail.
I absolutely LOVED it!!!

This fat girl peddled her butt off for 8 miles! It was amazing!
I hope maybe today to go try for 10 miles but we'll see.
Happy Saturday, my friends!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
