Sketch Challenge 562

Hello!!
I'm back with my card for today's Sketch Challenge 562 from over at SCS.
Here is the sketch:

This stamp set called Six Sayings is a hostess set in the Holiday Mini Catalog and this arrived yesterday too in my SU order! I really wanted this set because there are some nice sentiments in it. I used this Happy Holidays  one today with some snowflake paper from the Season of Cheer DSP Pack. My cardbase is Night of Navy with a layer of Soft Sky that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Snow Falling Embossing Folder. I added a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and a Snowflake embellishment from 2 years ago. I'm happy with this one! Hope you like!

Sketch Challenge 562 Card:

Stamps: Six Sayings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Pool Party, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper, Season of Cheer DSP
Accessories: Snow Falling Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Snowflake Embellishment, Glue Dots, Tombow Liquid

That's all I have for today!
Stay tuned tomorrow for some Halloween fun!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 552

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

So sorry about no update yesterday!
The chimney repair man came yesterday, which I was totally not expecting until today and he found a few issues with it so I never made it down to my stamp table to play along. Plus I was trying to keep Gigi & Bailee at bay since they seen him working outfront and kept barking at him. Today the man came and worked till early afternoon so I had a chance to get downstairs and craft! It was the first I stamped since last Friday!

Here are this week's pretty colors!

Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party & Sahara Sand
with the dessert option of adding our favorite embellishment

The UPS man just came yesterday afternoon and delivered a box of goodies I needed to keep up with my Christmas crafting! In the box was this hostess set called Best Thoughts. I made this card with a friend in mind who had brain surgery this morning. As soon as I get her mailing address, this will go out in the mail to her.
I used Pistachio Pudding Thick Twine & Rhinestones on my card as the twine & rhinestones are my favorite embellishments! I colored my image with Copic Markers.

Color Challenge 552 Card:

Stamps: Best Thoughts
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Whisper White
Accessories: Pistachio Pudding Thick Twine, Rhinestones, Tombow Liquid

Well, that's all for now!
I'll be back later this evening with my card for today's Sketch Challenge! At this time I almost have it completed!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge #175

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fun filled weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday! Nina is our hostess and she has an awesome challenge for us this week!

Let's get to it!

I knew exactly what I was going to use when I seen Nina's challenge, a moose from Riley & Company! I have a huge collection of Riley & Sophie images. I think they are adorable images too!

Riley is waving Hello & Wishing You a Happy Holiday!
Looks like he is out in the snow building a snowman while the snow is falling. Oh, what fun! I remember days of doing this with my kiddo's when they were small and the snow was just fascinating to them! Those were the days....

Anyways, hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to check out all the inspiration the other ladies have for you! I promise you lots of great cards!!
I also hope you'll join in & play along with us this week. Christmas is only a few short weeks away!

Merry Monday Challenge 175 Card:

Stamps: Riley & Company, Michael's $1 Stamp (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Accessories: Falling Snow Embossing Folder, Night of Navy Stitched Ribbon, Glue Dot, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Glue Pen, Glitter, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I thought this challenge was alot of fun and I just love using my Riley stamps! Thanks Nina!!

Well, that does it for me today!
I am off to get my housework started which will take me most of the day. I wish there was time to craft but not today. Hope you have a crafty day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Sympathy Card Set

Hello & Happy Sunday!
A late post then heading off to bed!
It has been a great weekend around here!

Saturday was the Heirloom Stamp Show in York and all my stamp girls got together and went. We shopped then met up at Chili's for a nice relaxing lunch that gave us a chance to sit and talk about what we purchased at the stamp show, upcoming stamp parties and just life in general. I had a great day with my girls!!

So tonight I just wanted to share a pack of Sympathy cards that I made for an order last week. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to make but i'm quite pleased with the turn out!

I took inspiration from a retired pack of designer paper called Cottage Wall. I love the mix of flowers with the striped paper and I added a small Old Olive bow to finish my card. My sentiment comes from the retired Simply Sketched stamp set. My flowers are from the Thought & Prayers set. It's a beautiful set! The inside is blank, just the way my customer likes!

Sympathy Card Set:

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, sentiment from Simply Sketched
Ink: Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry SU Markers, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP
Accessories: Old Olive 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Stamp A Ma Jig, 2 Sided Tape

That's all I have for tonight! I'm off to bed now!
Stay tuned for another challenge from over at Merry Monday tomorrow! It's a fun one!

Thanks for stopping by!

Double Pocket Treat Holders for Halloween

Hello & Happy Friday!

So happy the weekend is upon us!
It will be a busy but fun one!

Saturday morning is the Heirloom Stamp Show in York, PA. My stamp girls meet up and go every year then we meet Miss Emily at Chili's for lunch. It's a great time to sit, eat and chat with all of them! Then Saturday evening our good friends, Deb & Ed are coming out to hang out with us again! We had such a great time the last time we got together so we planned to do it again before winter gets here!
I doubt tomorrow I will have a blog update but hopefully sometime Sunday I will, so stay tuned!

Today I am sharing a little treat holder that I found on Splitcoaststampers.
Here is the link if your interested in making them.

I did mine up for Halloween and it was a help in using up lots of retired papers!

These little pocket holders are fast & easy to make and the video is easy to understand. I had a tougher time decorating them than I did making them! I purchased a big bag of York Peppermint Patties for these and i'm lucky I used 1/4 of the bag. Don't fret though, the rest will be handed out on Trick or Treat night if we don't stop munching on them! They are one of my favorites!

Double Pocket Treat Holders:

Stamps: A Halloween Hello, Spooky Bingo Bits
Ink: Basic Black Archival Pad, Tangerine Tango
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Witches Brew & Motley Monsters DSP
Accessories: 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Various Ribbons, Hole Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Adhesive

Hope you will give them a try because they are fun & very easy to whip up!

Well, that is all I have for today!
Thanks SO much for stopping by & I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Time for Candy Corn

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great week so far!

Today i'm sharing another Halloween favorite, Candy Corn M&M Sticks!

These things are really fun & easy to make with Stampin Up's 1 X 8 Cello Bags.

I noticed with these Candy Corn M&M's that they are bigger than the normal sized M&M's and had to be very careful filling the bags. I split open a couple of them when I forced them down the bag. The tag was made using the retired Petite Pennant Builder Punch. I used some older Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight 12 X 12 Paper Stacks to make the actual candy corn then layered them on the scalloped piece of Whisper White. My twine is Tangerine Tango that I used to tie my tag on top of the cello bag. Trick or Treat comes from the Good Greetings hostess set from last year. I punched that out with the Word Window Punch and glued directly onto my candy corn tag. I liked these for something different this year. I originally was going to fill my bags with Reese's Pieces but realized that there are some people with peanut allergies so I went back to using the Candy Corn M&M's. I also considered using Sixlets but could not find any in Halloween colors. Those are some options when looking to fill the 1 X 8 Cello Bags! I also wish M&M's would consider going back to using Halloween colors for their M&M's instead of fall colors. I mean, I love the fall ones for Thanksgiving but we need colors such as orange, purple, green & black for Halloween! Wouldn't they be awesome in a 1 X 8 Cello Bag!!!?? I think so!

Candy Corn M&M Sticks:

Stamps: Good Greetings (hostess 2014)
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight 12 X 12 retired Paper Stacks, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Tangerine Tango Twine, 1 X 8 Cello Bags, Petite Pennants Builder Punch, Tombow Adhesive

Enough blabbing today!
I'm heading down to my craft table this afternoon to work on more fun goodies for Christmas! My shows will be here before you know it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

World Card Making Day 2015, A Day Late

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your enjoying your weekend?

Yesterday was World Card Making Day 2015 and I stamped the afternoon away!

I wanted to get a post up but the day got away from me. Better late than never. right?

I made these cards for Audrey. She requested a pack of pumpkin cards with no sentiment inside or out. I looked high and low for a nice pumpkin but I had nothing from Stampin Up to fit the bill. I purchased this pumpkin stamp from Simon Says Stamp last December with the matching die. It's from Wplus9.

I made these cards as quick and easy as possible since this is my busy time of the year. I added an very small orange rhinestone just for a pop of sparkle. I rather like all the crisp white space without a ribbon or twine. I'm sure she will love them! I really like the print on this pumpkin and the clear heart center.

Pumpkin Cards for World Card Making Day:

Stamps: Pumpkin from Wplus9
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Small Recollections Rhinestones, Tombow Adhesive

Today I am heading to the craft table once again to make 30 Snowman Soups. I will have to wait to add the Candy Canes & Hershey Kisses once the Christmas candies come out in the stores. These are always a good seller!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Day 2 of Halloween

Hello & Happy Friday!

So glad the weekend is here! I've been pretty busy this past week in the stamp room! I'm all over the place with my creating this week, from Halloween to Christmas and Sympathy to Birthday! Yikes, no wonder my hands are hurting but I really enjoy creating!

This week has been pretty rainy with no end in sight right now. A hurricane is now headed up the east coast which they are predicting will brush us by with more heavy rains & wind. Mother Nature doesn't sound too happy! The doggies go for Doggy Day Spa tomorrow so I will be crafting more in hopes of getting craft show stuff soon wrapped up! Just bare with me if my posts start to get sporadic over the next several weeks.

Today I am sharing a cute little Halloween treat that I learned to make from Erica Cerwin. She makes the cutest projects! This treat holds a Rice Krispy Treat that I found at Walmart in a box of 60. I was not going to make 60 of these so I will use the rest for Trick or Treat night.

I was looking for something different this year and this fit the bill. There is a little pocket inside of this holder that holds the little bite sized Rice Krispy Treat. Erica used the Sparkly Seasons set on her treat holders. I used the new Howl-o-ween Treats set for mine and used a sentiment from last year from a set called Good Greetings. My paper is from the Happy Hauntings & the Polka Dot Parade DSP Packs. I used the new Spider Web Doilies which I cut in half. The Ribbon is Rich Razzleberry Stitched Ribbon & the Tangelo Twist Thick Twine from Sale A Bration this past year. These were so fun & easy to whip up! Here is the link to her tutorial if your interested.

Rice Krispy Treat Holders:

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treats, Good Greetings
Ink: Basic Black (new pad), Tangelo Twist, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Happy Hauntings DSP, Polka Dot Parade (Rich Razzleberry) DSP
Accessories: Boo to You Framelits, Spider Web Doilies, Star Punch, Word Window Punch, Scallop Tag Punch, Tangelo Twist Thick Twine, Rich Razzleberry Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

Well, that is all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

The possibilities are endless!

These were all so much fun to make!
I also want to add that these Mini Treat Bags will fit in a normal A2 sized envelope so you could send to family or friends....just can't fill it with candy to do that!
