Chit Chat & A Springtime Birthday Card

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

It's also the first day of spring! After the brutal winter we had I did not think spring was ever going to come! Yesterday turned out to be another nice sunny day but the wind did kick up. We got a walk in then did supper out with Kelsey. She lives on the other side of town in a very old run down building that use to be a furniture making place. Someone bought the building a few years ago and redid the entire building. Inside are 99 apartments and 2 businesses (a brewery & a coffee shop). There is a building right beside it that was in the same run down falling apart situation that was bought by the same people and turned into apartments but also a huge social hall. I tell people it reminds me of the food courts that are in malls. So, we met Kelsey there for supper last night and what a variety of different food choices inside! Burgers, waffles, noodles, Thai (plus several more) and a barbeque place that her friend co owns. We ordered from the barbeque place called Slow & Low, the macaroni & cheese with pork belly. Lordy bee, it was so good but I could only manage half of it and took the rest home (see picture below). The place opened in November and this is the first we've been there. I waited for the newness to wear off and also to keep away from all the sickness that was going around this winter. The place is amazing with lots of different sitting places to sit and eat or just relax. Also a big bar in the center and outside seating once the weather gets better. We will definitely be going back to try out some of the other places especially the Thai food! Oh and if anyone is local & interested the place is called the Franklin Street Social and they do have a Facebook page (and also a web page) if you would like to see it!

So, today I have a very pretty birthday card to show you that was on Audrey's last card order. I think it's perfect for those springtime birthdays! That paper is gorgeous!

Card Details:

We have rain & storms headed our way this afternoon/evening so it's going to be a crafting kind of day. Also there is a documentary on Netflicks that I want to watch tonight about the Joplin, Missouri tornado in 2011 called The Twister. We lived there when that tragedy happened so that will always be something in our minds from our year living there. Kelsey already seen it and said it was good but she did get a bit teary eyed. Guess I better get the tissues ready.

My thoughts today...

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

So glad you were able to get out and about! I think I need a road trip to Red Lion, those places sound amazing! As is your card--very pretty indeed! I didn't get these papers but have really enjoyed what I've been seeing made with them! Enjoy your day!
