Hello & Happy Friday!
Happy New Year, everyone!
It's been over 2 weeks since I last posted.
My hubby ended up in the hospital for almost a week with a serious bout of Diverticulitis. He's had many Kidney Stones over the last 20 some years and also had Appendicitis but I have never seen him in this type of pain before. It was quite worrisome! Thankfully, he is better but still not 100 percent. Still on heavy duty antibiotics that are messing with his stomach as well as a strict diet. He's not enjoying the dieting part either but it's just until things heal. He will have to stay away from things like seeds, popcorn & nuts...all things he loves.
He will see the doctor Monday and we will go from there on what the next step will be.
There is so much to learn about this disease and I pray he doesn't have too many issues in the future.
I also needed a break from all the holiday crafting over the last several months. Shawn being hospitalized wasn't the way I would have liked to have had a break but that's the way it went.
Most of the time I have my blog posts scheduled a week in advance but once everything happened with him my blog posts were the last thing on my mind. My post today was a card that was made before Christmas and I planned on sharing before the New Year but it never happened. So today is the day!
I know I have said many times over that I have SO much in DSP that I must use up!
This paper is from last years 2016 Occasions Catalog called Have A Cuppa. I love the heart print on this sheet and could easily be used for Valentine's Day too!
Happy Anniversary Card:
Stamps: Sentiment from All Year Cheer 3
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Have A Cuppa DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Pool Party Thick Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
I hope soon to get started on Valentines Day!
So stay tuned!

Very nice anniversary card!
I've been thinking about your guys, hope Shawn is doing better each day. That stinks about the diet....we all know about that! Anyway, this card is divine...I wish I had gotten some of that DSP, it's SO pretty! Have a great weekend!
I'm so happy to learn that Shawn is improving. I love seeds, nuts, and popcorn too but have decided to not only give them up, but I have to eliminate caffeine myself - which means coffee and chocolate. ugh! Giving them up is better than dealing with kidney stones - bleck! My husband said I should go out back and dig up some dirt to eat now LOL
Anyhoo, the card is so pretty and I love all those colorful little hearts with that pretty twine! A great CAS card!
Continued good wishes for Shawn and best wishes to you too Wendy! Have a great weekend!
praying he and you will soon be back to "normal" My husband has had kidney stones...acid ones and found that taking baking soda helps keep his system alkaline and thus reduces the kidney stone formation. He hasn't had one in 4 years. if Shawn has a blood pressure issue it would not be helpful since baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. hope this helps
Oh no! Sorry to hear about Shawn. Hope he feels better soon and that he can eat the things he loves soon. Great anniversary card.
