Abstract Impressions

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is here and it's not to be a very nice one.
Heavy rains are to move in later today through tomorrow. Flood watches are now up for the area. We've had so much rain in the last 5-7 days. It's crazy how the weather is so different around the world from droughts to floods and everything in between!

I was able to preorder from the new SU Annual Catalog that will be going live on June 1st.
We had a slew of things on the list but my first thing to order was all the new inks, markers & cardstocks! What a variety of colors we will have this year! I am very excited about the color change! Yes, it's a ton of money spent on the change but these colors coming in are so refreshing and I think it was high time for a new color palette! Truthfully, I was so excited to see new purple's and today I have a card to share using new product!
Take a look....

Aren't they pretty?

As you can see I used a new stamp set called Abstract Impressions. Lots of lovely flowers in this set which is a 2 step stamp set. Lots of nice sentiments in it as well. It has a coordinating die too but I did not order it which I am kicking myself for after seeing a beautiful card Patty Bennett made with it. It will be on my next order come June 1st!
Anywho....my card also uses new inks! Gorgeous Grape & Granny Apple Green.
Honestly, Granny Apple Green was my least favorite but after using it....that went out the window!

Card Details:

Stamps: Abstract Impressions
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Quilted EF, Banner Punch (retired), Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That is the only stamp set that I ordered with my new inks & cardstocks!
I do have the NEW In Colors in house too and they are beautiful!
Can't wait to share more of them with you in the weeks & months to come so stay tuned!

My thoughts on this rainy day.....

That is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day even if it is raining!

I can't help but play in puddles, LOL! Every time I walk the dogs, I am soaked. My kitchen floors are nothing but doggie prints! Not going to even try cleaning it until next week.

As for these beautiful cards, they will make anyone smile. The colors are simply luscious. Look at that perfect embossing choice, too! Really love those inks!

Purple and green is my favorite color combination and these shades look gorgeous together! It's about time SU! came out with a pretty purple, and I do love the green as well. Love the embossing and big bold sentiment - well done on this design my friend! Enjoy the drearies - we're in the soup for a while apparently :)
