Merry Monday Challenge Week #123

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fun weekend!
We spent Saturday night with our dear friends and ex-neighbors from Wrightsville. They came over for supper and watched the NASCAR race while flipping the channel back & forth to the Baltimore Ravens preseason game. We intended to have a firepit that night but since it rained all day Saturday, that plan went out the window. We had really good time hanging out with them again. It's been way tooo long!

Anyways, since it's Monday that means it's time for a new challenge from over at Merry Monday! Bonnie is our fantastic hostess this week and she is asking for wreaths on our cards. So let's get to it!

I just loved Bonnie's inspiration picture! I really wish I had a wreath as beautiful as that one but instead I have one almost as cute. This wreath is from a retired SU set called Welcome Christmas, which I thought was perfect for the challenge! I embossed my wreath in Winter White EP onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock so the image would pop off the page. I added some small rhinestone to the wreath image to give it some sparkle. I also added a Razzleberry bow. My card is very simple but also very mail friendly once it's time to address my envelope and mail it out! :)

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week. Soooo many beautiful wreaths!

Merry Monday Week #123 Card:

Stamps: Welcome Christmas
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Versamark
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Neenah White, Rich Razzleberry DSP
Accessories: Winter White EP, Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Stamp A Ma Jig, 2 Sided Tape

We are getting closer & closer to Christmas so I hope you can find some time to play along with us! I'm so excited to see all the beautiful wreaths in our gallery this week!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Halloween Cups

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today i'm sharing some of those adorable little coffee cups that the world was introduced to last year! I still have a bunch in my stash so I thought why not get some decorated for the upcoming Halloween season. So here is what I worked on earlier this week....

I had the patterned paper leftover from last year and it is from Recollections at Michael's. The orange glitter paper is from Michael's as well and it is very messy! I had glitter from head to toe after punching out a few scallop circles. The stamp sets I used are Batty For You and That's The Ticket on the top. Love it and these cups! I filled them with some Hershey's Minatures Candy Bars. The Halloween candy is out in the stores already and that makes me smile! I love Trick or Treat Night!

Halloween Cups:

Stamps: Batty For You, That's the Ticket
Ink: Stazon Black, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Orange Glitter Paper, Patterned Paper-Michael's
Accessories: Scallop Circle & Circle Punches, Ticket Punch, Black Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Multi Mono Liquid Glue

Can you tell i'm excited for Halloween & Fall weather??!!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Covered Notepads

Hello & Happy Friday!!!

Lots of fun things are coming to life this week from off my stamp table! Feels great to be back at crafting a bit each day! Today I am sharing a few Covered Notepads that I made up. I did a bunch in the beginning of summer but they have since all sold and I try to keep some in my stash for when occasions arise that someone needs a few.

I am trying really hard to use up ALL the designer paper I have. I have so much! These Covered Notepads use a nice size piece and then some on the notepad at the top. I love them all!! This last one with the striped Tangerine Tango was intended to be a Halloween one but my mind went off in a different direction when I went to decorate it. I have already done a few for Christmas since I am participating in a craft show at the famous John Wright in Wrightsville, PA. the Saturday after Thanksgiving for Small Business Saturday. I'm excited! I have been working hard to get prepared for Halloween & Christmas. I'm sure as the weeks go on and we get closer to the holidays that I will have more things to share with you so try to stop by everynow & then!

Well, more crafting is to be done today! The skies are looking pretty dreary here in PA today so I am going to head to my stamp table and get to it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #122

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

So, last week was my turn to hostess the Merry Monday Challenge. If you played along, Thank You! We had sooo many gorgeous cards in the gallery that I had one tough time picking a winner. In my eyes they were all winners but we all know that we have to pick one. I chose a card from Brian King. It was the most beautiful card from the rich colors of the gorgeous greens & pinecones and the plaid ribbon! Stunning!

Anyways, this week we have a new challenge over at Merry Monday! Sue is our hostess, so let's get to it!

I really like these colors for a Christmas card! I kept my card simple this week. My cardbase and first layer are Basic Black and embossed with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. I added my banner across the top with silver cord. My little banners are silver & gold foil paper and I added punched stars to them. Once I got my Merry diecut attached I threw on some gold sequins and called it done. I'm loving it and hope you do too!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice restful weekend!

Today we are back on track for the Merry Monday Challenge. Nina is our hostess and has a fabulous challenge for us to help get those Christmas cards made! Let's get to it!

I looked thru my box that I keep stamped images in and found this pretty image already stamped, all I had to do was color it! I loved this set when it was out a few years back but it sure is a lot of coloring!
I kept my card very CAS this week and left the focus directly on the colored image which has the sled and ski's in it. The sentiments on the card, inside & out are from the same set.

Merry Monday Challenge Blog Hop

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Today for our Merry Monday Challenge we have decided to do something a bit different for one of our Merry Monday girls, LeAnne Pugliese!

I'm thrilled to have met LeAnne in real life back in 2005 as we do not live too far apart! She is every bit the sweetheart in real life as she is online and i'm so happy to be on the Merry Monday Design Team with her now for 3 years! :)

So, today as we celebrate LeAnne's special day, we planned on making her a birthday card and throwing a blog hop in her honor! The Merry Monday blog is the place to load up your birthday card creations this week! We hope you join us this week and make a birthday card to honor LeAnne and celebrate along with us!!

Here is the card I made my friend, LeAnne!

LeAnne, I wish you a very special day and the best birthday ever! :)

Next up on our special birthday blog hop is the ever so talented, Lesley Croghan! Please be sure to stop by and check out her beautiful card!

And before I go I wanted to share a picture of my oldest daughter, Kirsten. Today is her 30th birthday! We had a small family party on Saturday to celebrate. I just can't get over the fact that she is 30!! Where has the time gone.....
Happy Birthday, Kirsten!

Just for Fun

Hello & Happy Friday!

It was such a beautiful day here in PA today! I wish it could stay this way! Tomorrow they are calling for the heat & humidity to make a return but it will be short lived. Yippee!

So, today I wanted to sit and just play with some crafty stuff with no deadline in mind. I pulled out a kit that I had ordered about a month or so ago. I need a little gift idea for Kirsten as her birthday is on Monday. Hard to believe she will be 30! I'm gettin old!

So, I started off with this....

and this.....

for the finished product....

I'm going to add some cash and a few little pieces of candy for a cute little gift for her. The party is tomorrow afternoon. She is going to love this little pillow box! :)

I love how easy this kit is to assemble! Stampin Up! has so many cute little kits that makes things easier. Give them a try if you haven't already!

Sumthin Sumthin Kit:

Stamps: Sumthin Sumthin
Ink: Pool Party
Cardstock: Everything is supplied in the Simply Created Kit
Accessories: I just added 2 Glue Dots, a bit of Multi Mono Adhesive, 2 Dimensionals & used a bone folder to curl the silver flower.

Sketch Challenge 498

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Phew, it's a scorcher here in PA today!
I could hardly stand it to be outside while letting Gigi & Bailee out to potty this morning. They did not seem to mind it but I was a puddle and hurried them to go back into the ac!

So, then I checked out the Sketch Challenge over at SCS and just loved the layout!
After seeing the one sample card was made for Christmas, my mind went right in that direction, too!
Here is the sketch & my sample:

Since I was sweating outside in the 90+ degree heat & high humidity, I went with something cool, Snowflakes!

This stamped image was in my box as was the sentiment & inside saying. I know my main image is a bit smaller than the sketch panel but I used it anyway and i'm really liking my card!

Sketch Challenge 498 Card:

Stamps: Nature's Secret (retired), Occasional Quotes (sentiment inside & out)
Ink: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP
Accessories: Snow Burst EF, Circle Punches, Small Snowflake Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Liquid Multi Mono Adhesive

Color Challenge 488

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It was a busy day but I finally got my card made for today's Color Challenge over at SCS.
Let's get to it.....

Today we were given 7 colors in which we could use any 3 or all 7.

Blush Blossom, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Pistachio Pudding & Strawberry Slush

I wasn't sure what colors I was going to use at first then I found the pad of DSP that my Stampin Up! Demo, Nan, gave me on Saturday for hosting a party! ( Thanks Nan! ) Inside the All Bloom paper pad was this beautiful paper that I decided to use. I pulled out an old set called Close As A Memory so I could color the stems & flowers with markers. I used Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight & Pistachio Pudding on my card! I'm pleased with the finished product! Thanks Mary for these beautiful colors today! :)

Merry Monday Challenge #118

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We spend Saturday with my parents and then yesterday on the Susquehanna River with Kirsten & Brad, my hubby, Kelsey and for the first time we took Gigi & Bailee with us!

Oh how fun and the doggies loved it! Bailee took a huge jump in the water to visit another dog that was swimming around. I never expected her to do that! Luckily, Shawn was with her because she did not have a life jacket on. I think we will have to get them one! Gigi liked on the boat but the water, not so much! They had so much fun! Kirsten took us out to celebrate Shawn & I's 24th wedding anniversary which is today! We were treated to a nice time and dinner on the island before bringing the boat back into the dock.
Happy Anniversary to my awesome hubby of 24 years today! He's the best!

Anyways, today we have a new challenge from over at Merry Monday! Lori is our fabulous hostess this week, so let's get to it!

I had this beautiful image already colored in my Christmas stash so I just went ahead and added it to a card along with my ribbon & button. My card is a Z Fold style card. I love these for bigger images.

By the Tide

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today, I went to my stamp table and decided to make something for myself. I noticed that my checkbook cover was pretty ripped up....i've had it for many years (and it had a snowman on it!)! LOL
It was time for something new & improved! I have a slew of covers that I have no idea where they came from. I pulled one out, measured it and got to work! Since we are heading to the Bahama's in 6 weeks, that's the theme that I went with!

I love the beachy colors, don't you?

Now i'll be so proud to pull out my checkbook when I need too!
