Pizza Boxes

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day!
Definitely my kind of day!

We ran some errands early then hit up a local farm stand where we picked up probably the last of the season veggies. Lots of yummy tomatoes, yellow zucchini, cabbage and a watermelon.
The pumpkins are taking over now!

Shawn helped me decorate the front porch for Halloween and then mowed the grass.
He also finally fixed my leaking kitchen faucet by going and buying a brand new one.
That faucet has been a thorn in his side for the last 3 weeks.

Today the weather is suppose to be just a nice!
We may get a bike ride in now that everything else has been done.
Tonight is football in prime time. The Ravens vs the Steelers!
It's sure to be a good game!!

I have another Halloween treat to share today!
These are made with the Pizza Boxes that are in the Annual Catalog.
I have many packs of these. Not sure why....guess maybe I thought they would retire last year.
I love using them but always forget I have them.

These boxes use some leftover DSP from last year and I just added the Owl & punched out Cat and the sentiment. I filled these boxes with Reese's Peanut Butter Miniatures that actually match the Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black that is in the DSP.

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Cat Bundle
Ink: Basic Black
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Spooky Night DSP
Accessories: Classic Label Punch, Cat Punch, Pizza Boxes, Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Always fun to whip these up!
Have you made any Halloween treats yet?
I have more but won't share them until after my World Card Making Day next Saturday.
My stamp friends are coming to get creative that day!
Can't wait!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Going to be a beautiful Fall day and I think I can probably speak for most people here in PA...
BRING IT ON!!!!

Ryan has been doing pretty good now that he is on medicine and watching what he eats.
I am hoping this will continue.

Today I have a card to share that I made with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.

Here is the sketch and my card samples....

The inside...

I added some dark red rhinestones that were in my stash.

Card Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Stamparatus, Dark Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I did some more fussy cutting on that beautiful flower!
This set is another one of those Distinktive sets.
I really like them!

Wishing You Well

Hello & Happy Friday!

Boy, has it ever been rainy in my parts!
I am SO ready for some sunshine that they say we are suppose to be getting this weekend.
I'd really like to get my bike out.
It's been forever....i'm not sure I even remember how to ride it!

Today I have a cute little pack of SU Notecards & Envelopes to share.
My customer needs 3 packs of Thank You cards and I think these fit the bit nicely.
I also used a new Distinktive set from the Holiday Mini Catalog called Wishing You Well.
Take a look....

I have fallen in love with these Distinktive stamp sets because of how they look!
This wreath caught my eye as soon as I seen it in the Mini.
I think it will be so pretty for a Christmas card too!

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Wishing You Well, Tropical Chic (sentiment)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede
Cardstock: SU Notecards & Envelopes
Accessories: Gold Metallic Enamel Dots (retired)

I fussy cut each of those bows out and glued them onto my wreath.
I'm not a fan at all of fussy cutting but sometimes we just need to do it!

No Tricks.....Just Treats

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday it got awfully hot & humid.
Then around supper time the line of thunderstorms came thru!
They were some wicked looking skies, too!
I kept my house closed up and the AC rolling.

Today I have another treat bag for Halloween to share.
It is the 3 X 6 Gusseted Cello Bags and if you notice I found some really cool wrapped York Peppermint Patties at my local grocery store that matched the Gorgeous Grape color!

I don't know about you but I love York Peppermint Patties and when I seen these in the Gorgeous Grape & Basic Black foil wrappers....I was SO happy! They look like they are ready for Trick or Treat Night! I love when these candy companies change up their wrappers for different holidays!
Certainly makes my job easier!

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Sweet, Spooky Cat (retired)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Toil & Trouble DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombiw Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These are packed up and ready to head to my customers house in a few weeks.
Those ladies love their treats and I enjoy making them!

Painted Harvest For You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I am going to try to get some housework accomplished.
Shawn is back to work so I need to get this place straightened up!
It is also back to being humid again. Blah! But, thankfully it is not to last.
My ac is on low just so I don't sweat too much! Haha!

Yesterday we ran to Ryan's doctor office to pick up some antacids that he wants him to try.
He kindly gave him a 30 day supply and as I was checking them out I saw on top of the box....Made in Japan! What is up with that?!!
Yesterday he slept until 3:30 in the afternoon. Well over 12 hours but I knew he needed it!
He took his first pill before he ate supper. So far so good!

So, today I have a card to share that we made at the last girls stamp get together.
Y'all know how much I love that Painted Harvest stamp set!

I was so pleased with this card and how beautiful the inside is as well!
I usually forget to stamp on the inside other than the sentiment but I have been trying to do this more. Do you pretty up the insides of your cards?

Card Details:

Stamps: Painted Harvest, Cake Soiree (sentiments inside & out)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Early Espresso DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Dimesionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm sure this won't be the last Painted Harvest card you will see!
I really LOVE this set!

Halloween Box

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another rainy day here in PA.
I guess it's a great day if your a duck!
I suppose I will be happy about it since we all got to sleep in this morning! Shawn included.
The last several days have been stressful and sleepless so the cloudy, dreary weather helped us to stay in bed longer and get that much needed rest.
We survived Ryan's procedure yesterday. All went very well.
I cannot say enough about his doctor! Absolutely ONE in a MILLION!
He took such good care of Ry and being that we have to travel almost an hour to see this doctor, he really makes it all worth it with his kind heart & compassion!
2 biopsies were done to look for Celiac Disease and one for a small ulcer.
No cancers, tumors or polyps were found.
Diagnosis: Gastritis.
Kelsey also has this so she knows the pain & sickness that comes with it.

Today is a new day of learning to deal with one more thing on our lists.
I have one with Diverticulitis (Shawn) and one now with Gastritis and learning to prepare foods for them will be a real joy! We may have to revert to eating scrambled eggs for every meal! LOL
Doctor suggested a low residue diet for Ryan while Shawn is on a high fiber diet.
I am lost in between....

I have to tell you a funny from yesterday.

We were paged to go to Ryan's recovery room shortly after he came from the OR.
He was wide awake and happy to see us.
He looked at me and said....

Your next Mom!

Haha....we all got a laugh from that!
Yes, I am long over due for a colonoscopy and have been hiding from it.
Shawn had his at 49 and Ryan had his at 31. I am 52 and want no part of it!

So anyways....it's a new day and I was suppose to get my house cleaned today but Shawn is home and Ryan is still sleeping and I hate to wake him.
I am going to share another Halloween Treat Box that I made with the Toil & Trouble DSP.
It is the same as the one I shared last week that Angie Juda created.

As you can see I used the witches paper on this one.
Gorgeous Grape is the cardstock color. It's perfect for Halloween!
This box will go to Kelsey with either a few bucks inside or a gift card along with candy,

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Cat (retired)
Ink: Momento Black, Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Basic Black, Toil & Trouble DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon, Glue Dots, Clip from Micheals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Here is the link if your interested in making this style of box.
They are fun and really do hold quite a bit.

En Route

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
A rainy, cool & very dreary one here. What a way to welcome in Fall!
It was cooler and I did not have to run the AC so i'm happy about that!

Today is the day Ryan has his procedure.
We are up early to finish up the last of the prep work that needs to be done.
We are a bit grumpy this morning and wishing this soon to be over.
The last 3 nights I don't think Ryan & I have slept much and it's catching up to us.
I'm sure a nap will be in the plans after we get home later today.
Please say a little prayer for him if you will.

I have a card to share today that was made at my last get together with friends.
The girls love their masculine cards and this one is made with the En Route set from the Annual Catalog.

I love the patterns and colors that are in the Best Route DSP that is in this suite.
We also used the Maps, Etc Embossing Folder, too!

Card Details:
Stamps: En Route
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Best Route DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Map, Etc EF, Best Route Enamel Shapes, Pineapple Punch 1/8 Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I also made matching gift bags for these.
I enjoy creating them so the girls have something to carry their cards home in.
I thought I took a picture of them but I guess not.
I will add it later today!

My thoughts today....

That's for sure!
Wish us luck today!

I will be back tomorrow to update and hopefully we will have more answers.
Till then...

Healing Hugs

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

Nothing new really to report on Ryan this morning.
He's still in pain...not eating but is pushing the fluids to stay hydrated.
He got up this morning and called the doctor.
They want him to push forward on the clean out process today so he can get his colonoscopy tomorrow which I am glad for.
After almost 2 months of being sick from both ends and pain off & on....we NEED answers!
The only thing the doctor suggested for his pain is to take some extra strength Tylenol which I understand since they do not know what is going on inside.
I am praying all goes well today so we can possibly get answers tomorrow!

So, it's a rainy morning here. I think it may be rainy most of the day.
We'll be staying put at home today to help take care of Ryan and get him ready.
I am working on some laundry and watching football this afternoon.

I have a pretty card to show today.
This is one we made at my recent stamp get together with friends.
It uses the lovely Healing Hugs set.

Another favorite card and I love the Fall feel to this!

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs, Tree Rings Background
Ink: Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Old Olive
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Accessories: Subtles Embossing Folder, Corner Rounder, Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dot, Old Olive 1/8 Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stampin Up has brought out a new line of stamps called Distinktive and this is one of those sets.
I really like them and love the look they give!

Spookylicious Treat Bags

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Our weekend is not starting off on the right foot as Ryan ended up getting sick & in pain last evening.
This morning he is still having pain and in bed.
I just don't know what to do for him and we are due to have the colonoscopy Monday.
He's been doing so well for the last 3 weeks and now this.
Keeping my fingers crossed & saying some prayers.

Today I have another Halloween treat to share.
This is using Stampin Up's 3 X 6 Gusseted Cello Bags.
I have made these before but not for Halloween.

These bags are a great way to use up that DSP that we all hoard.
I have so much paper that I could probably wallpaper half of the town I live in! LOL
When I get a pack of DSP I always pick out my favorites and use it up letting the unloved sheets left.
I've been watching more & more video's on how to use up that paper and certainly trying to use it every chance I get.

Project Details:

Stamps: The Little Things (retired)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Spooky Night DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Basic Black 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Black Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If anyone needs the direction on how to make the paper insert please shoot me an email.
I did not list it as my directions are down in the stamp room.
I also filled these with some snack size candy bars.
They hold a lot of yumminess!

Happy Halloween Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!

Are you ready for the weekend?
It's going to be a busy one here with groceries, hitting up one of my favorite stamp stores then getting Ryan ready for his procedure on Monday.
We have to be at the hospital by 12:30 and hopefully everything will go smoothly and we'll be home by supper time. Keep your fingers crossed.

I stamped everyday this week prepping for upcoming classes!
I had so many idea's bottled up and while I wasn't distracted I decided to get everything cut & ready!
One basket ready for Halloween (and that does not include my Halloween treats), one basket ready for Thanksgiving cards and one so far for Christmas. I will most likely do another basket for Christmas once I get another Stampin Up order placed the beginning of October.
I usually prep with 6-7 cards/projects in each basket so I have been a busy beaver this week!
I am pretty pleased & excited at the same time with these projects!

Today I have a cute set of Halloween cards to share!
While I wasn't really crazy about the Stampin Up Halloween selection this year, I did order the Toil & Trouble DSP. I liked some of the prints and some not so much.
This pack uses some leftover scraps of the witches hat print.
That one & the ghost were my favorites probably because I love the new Gorgeous Grape & Granny Apple Green colors they've added to our color palette this year!
Beautiful Halloween colors!!! FINALLY!

Aren't those witches hats adorable??!!

My sentiment comes from an old Paper Pumpkin Kit from the first year it came out.
It looks pretty awesome stamped in Gorgeous Grape, doesn't it??

Card Set Details:

Stamps: past Paper Pumpkin Kit
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Basic Black, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White, Toil & Trouble DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon, Glittered Granny Apple Green Enamel Dots (LOVE!!!), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

As cute as these are i'm sure my customer will suck them up!
I love them!

Fall Cards for Friends

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Been a busy week with Shawn working some long hours and I have been busy in my stamp room prepping for upcoming card classes. My hands aren't real happy but I will rest them next week once I get everything cut and ready!

So, yesterday I was looking for some cool idea's to make some cards to send to my stamp girls for the first day of Fall. #makeacardsendacard
I was hopping around on Pinterest then Facebook.
Then I found a card that was perfect for what I was looking for!
Not really sure of the name of it and I will give you the directions at the end.

Since Saturday is the first day of Fall (Thank God!!), these are the cards I made.

Card #1

Card #2

Card Details:

Stamps: Amuse- Autumn Leaves, For All Things (retired)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Country Lane DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Gold Rhinestones, Crushed Curry Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were very quick & simple to whip up!

Here is how....

Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4 X 5 1/2
Coordinating DSP cut at 4 X 12
Score at 1, 4 1/4 and again at 9 1/2
Fold and use bone folder for a nice crease.
The 1 inch piece gets folded the opposite direction so it will show the other side of DSP.
Attach your DSP to the piece of cardstock.
Then add an inside piece of cardstock to write your message on.
Decorate the front.

Any questions please shoot me an email at blueyes966@comcast.net
