Oven Mitts

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Did you all enjoy that extra hour of sleep?

The sun is shining brightly here this morning but don't let that fool you!
It's quite cold out with a breeze!
I do believe that winter is trying to make it's mark around here.

Yesterday I had a Stamp Day w Friends.
We had a great time and made a bunch of cards!
Deb treated us to some yummy snacks!
I will share those cards with you this week.

Today I want to share a cute project that I seen on Kitchen Table Stampers page.
That lady always makes the neatest things for craft shows and one day I caught a video of her making Halloween Tags that she put on goodies for her craft show.
This tag was put on a large cello bag that inside was a Halloween oven mitt and a package of Betty Crocker cookies. I was so thrilled with it that I wanted to make my own!

I found the Fall Leaves oven mitts at the Dollar Tree.
I had to wash them before I put anything inside because they had a really odd smell.
I am guessing from the ink printed on the material.
I left them hang to dry for a week before I finished with the rest of my gift.
I then found wood spoons that the handle on them was the same color as my oven mitt!
WooHoo! That just made me smile!
Next I picked up some Betty Crocker cookie pouches and placed the spoon and cookie pouch inside my oven mitts. I have a slew of the 9 x 17 cello bags that Stampin Up had out a few years ago for wine bottles. I placed my oven mitt inside the cello bag and threw in some Fall colored Hershey Kisses.
Next I had to find a color that matched my oven mitt so I could create a tag for my bags.
Poppy Parade to the rescue! It was a perfect match!!!

First I cut a tag from the largest Stitched Nested Dies in Whisper White.
My tags were created using a retired bundle.
Vintage Leaves and Leaflet Framelits that were available a few years ago.
I loved using this set again!
My leaves were stamped in Poppy Parade, More Mustard, Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie then diecut out and attached to my tag.
The sentiment comes from the Painted Harvest set which is my favorite set!
I diecut them with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Oval Layering Framelits then added a few Metallic Gold Pearls.
I lastly closed my cello bags up with some Poppy Parade Textured Ribbon and added my tags with some Whisper White Twine.

I was so pleased with them and gave them to my stamp girls yesterday at our stamp day!
They loved them!
I also made one for Kelsey!

My thoughts today...

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
