Merry Monday Challenge #129

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today we have a new challenge over at Merry Monday!

Kristie is our hostess this week and she would like us to use neon colors on our Christmas cards!

Let's get to it!

My card is a different size than the normal A2 cards. This is 3 X 6 which fits in the Open End Envelopes that Stampin Up use to sell. I pulled out an old set called Weather or Not because I really like these cute mittens in it plus I thought they'd look adorable in neon colors. I used Tempting Turquoise & Green Galore SU Markers to color my stamp. I used a piece of Tempting Turquoise DSP from the old Designer Series 12 X 12 Paper Stacks. My sentiment was cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits and popped up. I added 2 small rhinestones on the 2 mittens that had snowflakes on them. I'm all about the bling!

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week! Always lots of inspiration!! We also hope you will play along with us! Christmas is not that far off!!

World Card Making Day 2014

Hello & Happy Saturday!

It was a busy day in my stamp room today! I spend most of the day stamping and once again working on craft show things. After supper I went in search of a challenge to participate in so I could make another Christmas card for my upcoming craft shows. I went to the Freshly Made Sketches blog for inspiration! It's been quite awhile since I played along with that challenge and think I just may need to get back to it on a weekly basis! They have some awesome sketches each week and the design team always has some pretty inspiring cards!

So here is the sketch....

I just love the Festive Flurries stamp set & matching Framelits from last year so I decided to break out some Winter's Frost DSP to go with them. I'm so drawn to the colors in this DSP! I also love this sketch too!

Freshly Made Sketches #156 Card:

Stamps: Festive Flurry, Cute Converse 2006

Ink: Island Indigo, Pool Party

Color Challenge 498 & Sketch Challenge 508

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Also a very happy October 1st! Where has the year gone??!!

Anyways, today I sat to craft a bit before I head out for Ryan's doctor appointment this afternoon. I wanted to play along with the SCS Color Challenge yesterday but I worked on Christmas craft show things & my Halloween Tissue Box. After I saw the SCS Sketch Challenge today, I decided to combine the 2 challenges on one card.

Here are this week's colors & the sketch:

Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry & Garden Green

These colors reminded me of Fall and i'm loving the fact that the ladies from the Color Challenge used Elegant Eggplant. It is a very unused color but one I really love!

I used an embossing folder that I picked up last year at the York Heirloom Stamp Show from Darice. I was drawn to the pretty variety of leaves. I embossed my 3 very pretty Fall colored cardstock with it and layered it onto a pc of Very Vanilla. My piece of designer seris paper is from last year's Fall paper called Sweater Weather. I used a retired border punch from Stampin Up called Eyelet Border Punch. My sentiment is from the For All Things stamp set out of the Holiday Mini.

Hope you like!

CC498 & SC508 Card:

Stamps: For All Things

Ink: Elegant Eggplant

Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Sweater Weather DSP

Accessories: Darice Leaves Embossing Folder, Eyelet Border Punch, Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for today!

Thanks for popping in today & have a great day!

Halloween Tissue Box

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I spent the day working on things for my upcoming craft shows! Boy, i'm tired!

Anyways, before I head off to bed I wanted to share my Halloween Tissue Box that I finished up after supper tonight. I used a new stamp set from Stampin Up called Fall Fest. I had some issues using it being that it is a polymer set and I have never had any luck using that type of stamp. I put a HELP call out on Facebook and got quite a few suggestions, one being to take an eraser over the stamp image to take off the goop that is on it from the manufacturer. Worked like a charm and I had much better results! Thanks ladies!

So here is my tissue box.....

This fits over top of a cube box of tissues and this will sit proudly in my living room on the coffee table! I'm quite pleased with it!

Halloween Tissue Box:

Stamps: Fall Fest, SU Sentiment

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Garden Green SU Marker, Black Stazon

Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP

Accessories: Fall Fun Framelits, Oval Nestibilities (opening on top of tissues), Circle Nestibilities, Bitty Banners Framelits, Candy Corn Glitter Buttons, White & Tangerine Two Toned Twine, Dimensionals, Liquid Multi Mono Adhesive

ETA: Here is the link to making the Tissue Boxes:

Hope that helps!

Well, that is all for today!

Off to bed I take my sleepy butt now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #128

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today we have a new challenge from over at Merry Monday!

Katie is our hostess so let's get to it!

Once I seen the challenge I went in search of either striped or polka dot designer paper. I pulled out this paper pad from last year called Season of Styles and seen the polka dots on one side & the stripes on the other. I cut the sheet in half and layered it on to Crumb Cake cardstock. Then I added some yummy Cherry Cobbler ribbon and a beautiful bow under the sentiment. Layered all that on top on my Cherry Cobbler cardbase and called it done. Simple, quick & easy!

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to what the other Merry Makers have created this week! We also hope you will play along!

Merry Monday Challenge #128 Card:

Stamps: Joy to the World

Ink: Cherry Cobbler

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Season of Styles DSP

Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Halloween Wreath

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today my friend, Deb & I got together to make our Stampin Up Halloween Wreaths that we ordered last week. I also shared my Paper Pumpkin September Kit with her and we just had a great time talking & stamping!

I don't have any pictures of Deb's wreath right now but I was able to get some pics of mine. It's kinda overcast this evening so not much sun to help brighten up my picture.

I love how it turned out! The kit itself is very easy to put together but that beaded spider was a bit tedious and nonetheless it is awesome when it's done!

On my flag banner I used the new Halloween Street stamp since I did not have the set they used in the catty.

Well, that's all I have for today!

Tomorrow is another challenge from over at the Merry Monday gang. Hope you will stop back!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Halloween Tissues

Hello & Happy Thursday!

A rainy day here in PA today. Since Kelsey had planned to cook supper tonight, I knew I had the day to play in my stamp room and I knew exactly what I was going to make!

Last week on a quick trip to Walmart I found these cute soft tissue packs that are called Swankies and they were done in Halloween colors. Of course I walked away and I thought to myself....what could I do with them? Then I remembered seeing soft pack tissues decorated for different occasions or holidays so I turned around and picked up a bunch! I hope you like them....

I LOVE them! I tried to match up colors of papers to the colors on the Swankies. Then decorating them was just a blast! My kind of fun!

I used a variety of different papers, stamps & ribbon on these. I'm not going to type all that out but if you need to know please shoot me an email.

ETA: Directions for the Soft Pack Tissue Box:

Measure designer paper at 5 X 6 3/4
On long side score at 2,3,5 & 6
Short Side score at 1
Cut the 1 in side to make flaps then glue together.
Use 1 inch Circle Punch to make notch at top of box and decorate.
This is the link that I found the directions & a tutorial.

Thanks, LeAnne!

Hope that helps!

Well, that's all for me today!

Back to the stamp table to work on some more fun things!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Let's get started....

I wanted to use my new Halloween Street stamp that I have had for a few weeks so I flipped the sketch on it's side. The sentiment fit perfectly and what I love most of all about my card is the colors! Very Halloweeny!

Stamps: Halloween Street

Ink: Tangerine Tango

Cardstock: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP

I've been busy, busy, busy working on getting prepared for 2 craft shows this year! I'm so excited but nervous too! Tomorrow is to be a rainy day so I know I will be getting inky and hopefully I will have something to share with you tomorrow! Stay tuned!

Thanks for popping in today & enjoy the rest of your day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #126

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone is well.

It's been quite a few weeks since I last posted. During that time I was busy preparing for vacation, a party at my brother's for Labor Day and a wonderful trip to Freeport, Bahamas for my birthday! We had such a great time and it has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth! I almost hated to return home! We've been back now almost a week and it's so hard settling back into a normal routine but i'm slowly getting there!

So, this week over at the Merry Monday blog we have a new challenge for you! Karren is our hostess so let's get to it!

I picked this sentiment out of my box because I love the font and the added holly leaves. I stamped, colored and cut the sentiment out with the Oval Nestibilities and used my Gold Leaf Krylon Pen to put the gold edge on it. I tried to keep my card as simple & flat as possible to mail out later. I'm not sure if I will let the gold pearls on when it comes time to mail. My white panel is embossed with a holly embossing folder from The Paper Studio that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The bow is Old Olive 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon. Hope you like!

Please stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the ladies have created this week! So many neat idea's for this week's challenge. Hope it will inspire you to play along!

Merry Monday #126 Card:

Stamps: Stampendous

Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers

Cardstock: Neenah White, Old Olive, Real Red

Accessories: Oval Nestibilities, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Holly EF from The Paper Studio, Krylon Gold Leaf Pen, Gold Pearls, 1/8 Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Here are some pictures from my trip....

We stayed at the Memories Resort & Spa in Freeport, Bahamas. Absolutely beautiful place! :)
