Santa Owl Pails

Hello & Happy Sunday, friends!!

Hope your day is going well so far!
I had a great day yesterday with my stamping girls! Time really flies when your having fun! It was good to see them and we got our Christmas Get Together on the calendar for in a few weeks! Yipppeee!! :)

Here is a picture of my gang :)

Anyways, today I wanted to share with you these awesome little pails that I picked up at Micheal's last winter when I was still in Joplin. I wasn't sure at the time what I was gonna do with them and one day the thought of making the Owl Punch into a Santa Owl came to mind and as they say....the rest is history!

I wrapped the pails in a dsp from Hobby Lobby only up to where the handles are on the sides. Also punched some red cardstock & more dsp and put on the lid. Then I took white cardstock and punched it with the Scallop Circle Punch and ran it thru the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots EF for alittle somethin' somethin'! LOL I punched out 16 red owls and glued on the googlie eyes that came from Micheal's. I punched the vest out with that extremely heavy glitter cardstock that Micheal's sells and glued it on the Owl body. I then punched out 16 Wild Wasabi stems for the Owl to sit on and added dimensionals to the backside to adhere to the white Scallop Punch. Next I had a pack of Jolee's Santa hat sticker's that I got last year out in Joplin and added those on the Owl's head. Filled with 5 or 6 bite sized Snickers and called them "AWESOME"!!
I just loved them! What do you think??

Santa Owl Pails:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Real Red, Neenah White, Wild Wasabi, DSP from Hobby Lobby, Glitter Paper from Micheal's

Peek A Boo!

I MISS you too!!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

I don't have much time to spare right now as my group of stamp girls are on there way here for the afternoon but I wanted to share a sweet little surprise that was on my front porch this morning. My very good friend from Missouri, Vicki, sent me a sweet little package with all kinds of goodies in it and this cutie of a card! She sent a note along saying "Do you remember the day we went to Kansas City to get the Riley Stamps and I bought this sweet little Pure Innocence girl"? And YES, I remember....we had fun that day! Anyways, she made this card with it and the inside made me tear up!
Take a look....

Vicki~our paths will cross again soon and until that day i'm very thankful for meeting you & the friendship we've made! Your one in a million!! :)

Well, that's all for me today!
Oh and I wanted to let ya know that the craft show is going extremely well!! Gotta get started on making more for the next weekend! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a super Saturday!!

Thanksgiving Thursday Week 3

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great day!
I bet you all thought I forgot about my Thanksgiving Thursday series that I have been featuring every Thursday in November. No, I did not forget. I'm still under the weather but each day my cold gets a little better! Also my hubby has been on vacation the last 3 days so i've been trying to spend time with him as well. He went Tuesday for his Pennsylvania Drivers License and yesterday he went for his car insurance and tags for the vehicles. Today, he put new brakes the whole way around on the truck so it will pass inspection which is tomorrow morning! It feels GOOD to be a Pennsylvania resident again! :)

So, my cards for today's Thanksgiving Thursday were highly inspired by my VERY good stampin buddy & friend, Vicki Burdick! I miss her muchly since leaving Missouri but we are planning a visit with one another next spring and I can't wait to hang with her again! Anyways, everything on my cards she has done on many of her cards recently and of course I had to stalk her!

I used Soft Suede cardstock for my base and added a layer of Vanilla and a piece of DSP from the Spice Cake pack. I used an old Vanilla tag that was cut with the Tag Coluzzle Cutter, added my sentiment and sponged it with Soft Suede. I ran a piece of Pumpkin Pie thru the Cuttlebug with SU's Square Lattice EF then punched out 3 Wide Oval Punches from SU and sponged those with Cajun Craze. Layered those and added a piece of Old Olive punched out with the Horizontal Slot Punch that I believe is retired from SU. I hot glued a button on each pumpkin that has a bow tied with gold cord. And lastly, I added a pearl brad with some Soft Suede Ribbon and called it done! I really love the look of these and credit Miss Vicki with them! She does amazing work!!

Thanksgiving Thursday Week 3 Cards:

Stamps: Seasonal Sentiments (set #111)
Ink: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Wide Oval Punch, Horizontal Slot Punch, Coluzzle Tag's, Buttons, Gold Cord, Hot Glue Gun, Pearl Brad, Soft Suede Ribbon, Sponges, Scor Tape

The next couple of days will be extremely busy here! I have last minute craft show things to tie up and Kelsey & I are gonna start decorating for the holidays, shopping for Thanksgiving, making Clear Toy Pops for the show and Saturday night we are going to see Breaking Dawn (part 1)!! I'm so excited to see it!!! So, that being said, I probably won't be posting again until Monday.

Thanks again for stopping by & leaving me all your wonderful comments!
I truely do appreciate them!

Have a great weekend, friends!

Snowman Soups

Hello & Happy Sunday!

I know it's getting late and here I am finally updating the blog!
I spent most of today in bed. I woke up this morning feeling horrible and barely being able to speak. I grabbed some meds and filled my vaporizer, shut the door and slept for hours. I hope that I can soon shake this stinkin cold. It's like one day you take one step forward and the next day, two steps back. Fun, fun, fun!

Kelsey & Shawn went out and spent the nice day raking the leaves to the street for the leaf sucker truck to pick them up this week. Once they were done they made a big bath of homemade chicken pot pie for supper. Oh, it was to die for! Once I got awake and dressed we went to York and got that riding mower that went on sale today! WooHoo! Shawn felt bad about spending that kind of money but I told him with a 1/2 acre of yard this mower will make his life alot less stressful!!

So, now we are sitting in the living room just relaxing and I thought i'd do a quick blog update and share with you my Snowman Soups I made for the craft show. I used a digi image this year from Whimsie Doodles. Take a look...

Snowman Soups:

Stamps: Digi image from Whimsie Doodles
Ink: Copic Markers, Zig Painty Silver Pen
Cardstock: Ballet Blue, Brilliant Blue, Neenah White, Various DSP
Accessories: SU Scallop Trim Border Punch, MS Jumbo Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, SU White Twine, Hot Glue Gun, Scor Tape

I think they are pretty cute!
The tins are filled with a small cello bag of mini marshmellows, 3 Hershey Kisses, a candy cane and a packet of Nestle's Hot Chocolate. A good seller at the show!! :)

Well, that's all for me tonight!
Thanks for stopping by & have a good nite!

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hello & Happy Saturday!!

Hope your weekend is going well!
I'm feeling alittle better today and was out & about with hubby doing some shopping. First thing on our agenda is getting a new riding mower for the huge yard we have now. We had no such luck today in finding one but tomorrow some stores will be having sales on them so we'll head back out then and hopefully we won't come home empty handed!

So, today over at the Our Creative Corner Blog, Wendy Janson is the hostess and she challenged us to use either pumpkins on our card or pumpkin cardstock, I thought about this all day and was tempted to make a punched pumpkin but then I realized that I had this adorable pumpkin shaped ribbon that I picked up on my last trip to L&L Stamps! Love that place!
Anyways, take a look at my cards....

Featuring Sweet n Sassy's Rhubarb Bear

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your day went well! It was a gorgeous day here in PA today! I think we hit 70 degrees and it was so nice to hang laundry out and have the windows wide open! Certainly good for airing out all of Shawn's cold germs! LOL Fluffy & I spent a good part of the day outside in the backyard just taking in the sunshine. Hard to believe that a week and a half a ago we had 9 inches of snow in that same backyard! Crazy, I know, but home is home and i'm so thankful to be here again!

After pulling myself in from the outside I went down to my Stamp Cave as i'm nicknaming it! Men can have men caves so why can't I have a stamp cave??!! Anyways, I had a few more Candy Bar Wrappers to make for the upcoming craft show and wanted to use this new set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps on them.
I think they are too cute!!

Of course the one with Rhubarb holding the gingerbread is my absolute fav!! :)

Actually they are all my fav's!

Well, that's all for now!
I haven't felt real good in the tummy all day today so think I may just go relax and see if I can get it to settle.

Thanks for stopping by & have a good evening!

CAS143

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was low keyed since the hubby is battling a cold. He felt bad enough today to call off and stayed in bed most of the day so far!

Since I got alot of craft show stuff completed over the weekend I went in search of something to do today. I popped over to the CAS Challenge (CAS meaning clean and simple cards) and found a really easy sketch and got right to work. I used a set that I once before owned and sold at a garage sale and lately have seen SO many cards done with it that I just had to buy the set again! I know crazy, huh? LOL
I embossed my tree & sentiment in Silver EP and layered my main panel with some SU Brushed Silver cs and laid that on my Night of Navy card base. I added a silver star brad and some old SU Silver Metallic Ribbon and called it done!

CAS Challenge 143 Card:

Stamps: Snow Swirled
Ink: VersaMark, Silver EP
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Brushed Silver, Neenah White
Accessories: Heat Gun, Silver Metallic Ribbon, Silver Star Brad, Scor Tape

Really, it doesn't get much easier than this! I may have to seriously think about doing this challenge every Monday now! :)

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hello & Happy Thursday!!

Today, I am kicking off something I call Thanksgiving Thursday's! Every year I take all the Thursdays in November and dedicate it to making Thanksgiving cards because I get lost in the shuffle of making Christmas cards and by the time Thanksgiving rolls around I don't have any cards made! I enjoy sending out Thanksgiving cards to friends & family for which i'm very thankful for!!
So, this is week 1 and I pulled out an old image that was already stamped from a Stampin Up set called Give Thanks. I love this little guy!

Thanksgiving Thursday Week 1:

Stamps: Give Thanks
Ink: Chocolate Chip & More Mustard SU Markers
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, White, DSP from K&Company

I sat down yesterday and made 2 of these cards. I hope by the time Thanksgiving rolls around I have a pile ready to send out! That's the plan...hope I can stick to it!

Well, that's all for now!

November 2011 Calendars

Hello again!

I'm back real quick to share my November 2011 calendars that I made back in January. The set made with the Pure Innocence Girls from My Favorite Things was made for my best friend, Deb! She displays them proudly on her fridge every month! :)

And then my set of calendars made with the Tilda images from Magnolia. I display mine each month in my stamp room. I love them!

I have one more month to display yet for this year. Can you believe that this year is almost over?? Goodness, life just flies by so quickly anymore!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my November calendars!
Hope ya like them!

I'll be back tomorrow with my card for the Sketch Challenge!
Have a great evening!

Color Challenge 347

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all doing well. It's been an extremely crazy last few days that has kept me from my stamp table but today I made my way back! :)

As most know the east coast had this major snow storm that started early Saturday morning. I tell ya, it seems the crazy acts of Mother Nature follow us everywhere we go! LOL
We had 9 inches of heavy wet snow here in Red Lion and most folks lost power. We were lucky that ours stayed on most of the day. I watched Shawn most of the afternoon work on his work bench in the garage while I baked a big pan of lasanga in the oven. We no sooner ate and I got the table cleared & dishes washed and the power went off. We were so bored we didn't know what to do with ourselves! LOL I tried to stamp by flashlight but that didn't go too well. We ended up going to bed early and waking up the next morning...freezing our butts off. The weather sure was frightful outside but inside felt just as cold as out. We sat around Sunday morning wrapped in blankets hoping the power would soon come back on. Mid afternoon it finally came back on and every one was quite happy then! Unforunately, there are many close by that are still without power and today the temps warmed up quite a bit to help melt alot of the snow. It really seemed odd to be handing candy out last nite for Trick or Treat night with snow on the ground!!! LOL In all my 45 years I have never seen anything like it!

Here are a few pictures from Saturday's snow....

Snow on the Halloween flag sure was an odd sight!

So, today was Color Challenge day at SCS. One of my favorite challenges!

The colors today are:
Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke & More Mustard

I left my designer paper do all the talking on my card..

Color Challenge 347 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from Impression Obsession
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard
Accessories: SU Square Lattice EF, Gold Cord, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

I hope ya like!! I'm thrilled that the fall season is upon us although it felt like winter here the last few days! LOL Stay tuned this week for the start of my Thanksgiving Thursday Cards. Every Thursday up till Thanksgiving i'll share a card made for it. I have been doing this for the last few years and it helps me to get a few Thanksgiving cards made to send out because if I would not do this the Thanksgiving holiday would get lost amungst all the Christmas stuff! So stay tuned for that! :)

Well, that's all for me!
I have to go get my supper on the table before Shawn gets in from work.
I'll be back shortly to share with you my November calendars! Woohoo! Can't believe it's November already!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ways To Use It Challenge 346

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's a rainy, dreary one here today and calling for our first frost this season! Guess that means I better dig out our winter coats later!

Today is the Ways To Use It Challenge....another challenge I always like to participate in!
We were challenges today to use "leaves". I found in my stash this leaf wreath that I stamped last year and never got to use. It is done with the little leaf in the SU set called Autumn Days. I do not own this set but one day hope too! It's a nice set! :)

I cut my wreath out with a Circle Nestibilities and layered it onto a piece of Always Artichoke cut with the Circle Scallop Nestibilities. I added a few little gold beads & an Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain Ribbon bow. I used More Mustard as my card base and a piece of Neenah White cs on top of that which was run thru the Cuttlebug with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. I only ran it thru about 3/4 of the way so i'd have room to place my sentiment. I added a piece of More Mustard Grosgrain Ribbon and called it done! And the nice thing about it is that it's pretty flat for mailing purposes! :)
Take a look....

Ways To Use It Challenge 346 Card:

Stamps: Autumn Days, Hand Penned Holidays
Ink: Ruby Red, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant
Cardstock: More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Neenah White
Accessories: Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibilities, Houndstooth EF., Eggplant & Mustard Grosgrain Ribbons, Gold Beads, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thank you for stopping by & have a great day!
