Gift Bag Toppers

Hello & Happy Monday!

A rainy one here this morning with some chilly air too!
I think over the last few days we have felt that taste of winter.
Yesterday we were out & about and it was odd having to wear a heavy winter coat.
I even seen some black furry caterpillars last week on the back porch.

Anyways, today I will be back at my stamp table getting a few more projects ready for a stamp day with the girls but before I head off to get my day started I want to share a project that I made for my customer with her last order. I always take her goodies to her in a big gift bag and I started putting toppers on them. I learned to make these years & years ago at a stamp function that my BFF, Deb & I attended. I forgot how to dress up a simple gift bag until I ran across mine in the bottom of a stamp drawer. My customer loved the topper and asked for 3 so she could use them for gifts.

Color Me Autumn DSP & Cajun Craze CS.

Painted Autumn DSP & Crushed Curry CS.

Delightful Daisy DSP & Daffodil Delight CS.

These bags require a full sheet of cardstock folded in half. I cut out a notch on the score line so it will go over top of the handles on the gift bag. I usually just lay it beside the bag and make marks on either side of the handles so I know where to cut. I make the cut with my Stampin' Up Paper Trimmer for a nice even cut. Then I add my Designer Series Paper (DSP) and decorate. These are all made with Stampin' Up DSP's and the sentiment comes from a set called Thoughtful Branches. Each bag has a Stitched Shape Circle cutout and layered onto a Circle Layering scallop. Each has an enamel dot added along with a bow. These are fun and something quite different and can really dress up a gift bag!

My thoughts today.....

That is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have an amazing day!

I have never seen one of these bag toppers but I love them and need to bookmark this post so I can learn to make them myself! Each one is beautiful and I'm not surprised your customer wants a few too! NJ on them all!
