Where were you 25 years ago today?

It is 9/11 and I can still remember that morning as if it was yesterday!

I was doing my weekly house cleaning and I had the Today Show on in the living while I was dusting when it came on about the planes hitting the World Trade Towers. My heart sank as I watched in fear. That day changed so much in our world. The loss of life there in New York City, Shanksville, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon in Washington DC was the worst terrorist attack in the United States. A day the world will never forget!!

It is time for another Festive Friday Christmas card!

For this week's card I pulled out a stamp set from 2015 called Peaceful Wreath. I paired it with the Versatile Christmas stamp set from the same year.

Cutest Crew Hello Card

Hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend!

Our weather here was absolutely splendid!! Wish it could stay like that all year long!

Today I am going to do some cleaning and hopefully grab a nap this afternoon as I did not sleep all that good last night.

The card I am sharing today was made with a bundle from the Online Exclusives called Cutest Crew. I really was not going to get it but there are so many adorable things about it. All the different animals and it is loaded with some cute sayings! I just could not resist it any longer after seeing SO many cute cards with it. Don't ya hate when that happens!?

Special Friendships

 Hello & Happy Monday, Friends!

It's Labor Day here in the USA so Happy Labor Day!

My hubby went fishing this morning with a co worker and later Kelsey & Sushi will be coming over. We will be grilling and picking at a Halloween puzzle that I started yesterday.

Before I get to my card for today I want to share some sad news.

My dear sweet card lady, Audrey passed away last week.

She was a woman deep in her faith and loved her family so very much.

Blessed in so many ways! I can only imagine the void they must be feeling without her here. I know I am feeling it but I'm also glad she is no longer suffering with her cancer. She passed last Wednesday, Sept. 2nd. She would have been 96 years old this coming Saturday. She lived a wonderful & blessed life and will be missed so VERY much!

So my card today is all about friendship. I would say I never really had any special friendships growing up except with the 3 neighboring girls (all sisters) but as we got older we all went in different directions. I do still see them here & there. I would say that my first true and meaningful friendship came in my 30's with my ex neighbor and to this day my very good friend, Deb. We can talk about anything at anytime. Then came along Audrey 13 years ago. There was just so much we could talk about and things I've learned from these 2 ladies that will stay with me the rest of my life.

Pumpkin Thanksgiving Card

Last week I was out and did some Fall shopping at Hobby Lobby. I really did not buy much as far as decorations go since I already have so much. I did find some cool Fall stickers and crafty things that I put to good use for a pack of Thanksgiving cards. This is the pack that I whipped up yesterday while Shawn was out fishing...

I am so pleased with how these turned out and will be adding them for sale on my Etsy page.

The patterned paper on these cards isn't actually patterned paper. It is from the craft aisle at Hobby Lobby and these strips of heavy weight paper are for making a paper chain. I really liked the pattern on them so I thought they would be great for some fall cards so I bought one pack to try. There are many strips in this package and they were 40% off. Also the pumpkins are stickers that matched so well. They also have some gold foil in them! I will be going back for another pack of those pumpkins! 

My Etsy store is up and running. Of course, it is named after my blog incase your interested in anything....WeeBeeStampin4Fun. I'm just getting started and have many cool things to get photographed and put on there soon!

Botanical Expressions

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

Hope your enjoying this holiday weekend if your in the states!

Shawn went out fishing this morning so I am headed to my stamp table a bit then off for a haircut later this afternoon. The weather is to be so nice this weekend so maybe at some point we will get the bikes out and go to the Rail Trail. We recently got electric bikes and let me tell you how fun they are to ride!

Today I am sharing a card I made recently and sent to a dear friend. 

My friend always commented on my blog when I first started out and eventually we met up in real life. She was my sounding board when we moved halfway across the country back in 2010 and has always been there to listen when times got tough. I so appreciate her friendship all these years. Recently her & I were having a long conversation about my dear friend, Audrey. She put alot of things into perspective for me. Summertime Thank You

Today I just wanted to share a sweet Thank You card I whipped up recently for a customer. She gives me orders faithfully each month and I always try to send a card or a little token of my appreciation for her orders. With high costs on things especially with shipping packages anymore I have gotten away from sending a package but always send a card with her order receipt enclosed with a personal note written inside. This card is one that will be going out this week to her. I used the retired Watercolor Melon set that was a SaleABRation offering. It's such a fun set and makes for some fresh, fun summer cards!

Autumn Is In The Air ( I wish!!)

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

We're halfway thru the week and boy, is it ever a hot one here!

I spent yesterday down at my stamp table working on some cards that needed inside sentiments. Once that task was finished I pulled out some Fall stamps and got inky for 1 quick card. This one uses a stamp set from 2010 called Day of Gratitude. I do not own this set but found a bunch of stamped off images in my image box. My friend Deb has the set and years ago I borrowed it to stamp some images that I apparently never used. I am going to see if I can borrow it again to stamp with some newer inks. I used Soft Suede, More Mustard, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery & Elegant Eggplant for the images in my Image Box. All those colors are now long retired. 

I paired my images with some retired Spice Cake DSP from 2012. I don't have too much of this designer series paper left...it's been well loved over the years!

I' m happy to report that yesterday I got my store set up on Etsy where I will soon be selling my cards & projects! I have so many cards, card sets and cute little gift things made that I would like to continue selling as long as my hands allow me to do so. I will share more on that once I get things loaded into my storefront!

I love this card! That color is so pretty and I think this is the first time I have used it since it became available in May. The punch outs in the designer series specialty pack also make it so quick & easy to create a card! It seems many of our paper packs are having these punch outs in them and I for one love it!

Fun With Squares Sketch

 Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

This past week I spent some time at my stamp table playing with some new Stampin Up! products. Then on Thursday I watched a You Tube video where the demonstrator used a really cool layout with squares. That sketch came at a time where I feel like my cards are stagnant and needed some fun designs. So I printed out the sketch and had a playdate of my own.

I love the fun with squares even though it is a bit tough making sure the squares are all cut the same measurements to fit. This is a great sketch for showcasing the different patterns in our paper packs and this paper is gorgeous!
