Happy Valentines Day!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I have a super sweet card to share that my hubby made for me for Valentines Day!
He did a beautiful job with it and obviously he pays attention when I talk about how to make something!

I love how he embossed that layer then punched out the hearts!
He also added the bow with 2 Sided Tape!
He dug thru my Valentines papers and found this piece and put it under the embossed layer.
I think he did pretty darn good, don't you?

So today I am going to make a salad & lasanga for our supper tonight.
Usually he cooks for Valentines Day but I decided I wanted to.
It's going to be a busy day in the kitchen!

Do you have any fun plans for your Valentines Day?

Label Me Pretty Set

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

Yesterday was such a yukky weather day!
From snow to sleet, then freezing rain and then changing over to all rain.
It was a sloppy mess.

This morning I am up early with Shawn.
Roads are icy and accidents everywhere.
I tried to stall him on leaving atleast until the sun came up but he wasn't having it.
I got a roast, carrots & potatoes in the crockpot for supper tonight.
Once I know he got to work okay, I may end up going for a nap!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for a card order.
These use a mix of old & new.

I used Rose Red & Kiwi Kiss cardstock on these.
The paper is Raspberry Tart DSP from I think 2008.
My focal point is done with the Label Me Pretty stamp set that also has the coordinating Pretty Label Punch. I also used some coordinating ribbon that is retired, too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Label Me Pretty
Ink: Rose Red (retired)
Cardstock: Rose Red (retired), Kiwi Kiss (retired), Whisper White, Raspberry Tart DSP (retired)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Pretty Label Punch, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I like the colors in this DSP as it reminds me of wallpaper!
I'm thrilled to have used up more of my old stash which I plan to do more of in the future!
I'm sure i'm not the only one who has lots of retired stuff that's been collecting dust, am I?

Valentines Day Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

My hubby got the call early this morning that work was closed for the day.
So we all just went back to sleep...all but the girls, they wanted breakfast!
Fed them, left them out and then we all went back to sleep.
It's pretty yukky out, snow, freezing rain & then a change to all rain.
I have an appointment this afternoon for my therapy so we will see what happens there.

Today I have the last Valentines Day card to share that we made at my last Stamp Day w/ Friends.
This one was pretty quick & easy!
Take a look...

This pack of paper called Pop of Pink Specialty Paper was out a few years ago.
I think I snagged this off the Clearance Rack for alot less.
I love the Melon Mambo, white and Gold Foil together on this.
We stamped the heart stamp in Melon Mambo and punched out with a retired Heart Punch.
Then we layered it with the scallop heart from the Scallop Heart Embosslit which is also retired.
Popped it up with Dimensionals and added a Gold Metallic Enamel Heart on it just for more bling.
Also we added a Gold Foil Ribbon bow with a glue dot and called this beauty done!

Card Details:

Stamps: Happy Valentines Day (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pop Of Pink Specialty Paper
Accessories: Heart Punch (retired), Scallop Heart Embosslit (retired), Gold Metallic Enamel Heart (retired), Gold Foil Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think this one was my favorite!

Anniversary Set

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

It's snowing here this morning!
Blah, I know, right?
It started snowing here last evening after 8 pm and has snowed since.
This is to last into tomorrow afternoon with a mix of snow, freezing rain & then changing over to all rain. Sounds like a sloppy mess!
Most schools have canceled today.

Today I have a pack of quick & easy cards to share.
I saw this design on a blog last week and decided to give it a try.
I pulled out this beautiful rose paper called Bella Rose from 2008.
It was perfect for making a pack of Anniversary cards!

Everything on these cards are retired and feels great to use them up!
Talk about a blast from the past, the cardstock colors are Riding Hood Red & Kiwi Kiss!
I still have plenty of those colors which is good because I still have an entire pack of this DSP left!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hugs and Wishes (retired)
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP (retired)
Accessories: Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

There is nothing popped up on these to keep them easier for mailing!
The hardest part of making these was keeping my Riding Hood Red ink from smearing!
Not sure what the deal was with that?!

My thoughts today....

Perfect thought for today, don't ya think?
Although I could do without it...

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Grocery Notepads

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Yesterday I started my Light Therapy for my Psoriasis.
It went well and was just like going to a tanning bed to tan.
I started out at a half a second then when I go back next week they up the time as long as your not getting burnt.
I am doing a light therapy that is called Narrow Band UVB which is said to show better results within a few weeks as long as your consistent with it. I got 3 months of this and hoping for the best!

Today I have a fun project to share with you!
A few months back I went to my local Staples store and had then cut a pack of notepads in half so I could decorate them for gifts.
I pulled out a bunch of them last week and created some cool grocery list notepads with some retired  products.

Take a look....

This notepad uses the Coffee Cafe stamp set that is still current.
This stamp set also has matching Framelits.
The Coffee Break DSP however is long retired.
The sentiment is from Papertreyink.

This notepad uses retired products from a few years back.
Cool Treats is the name of the stamp set and also has matching Framelits.
The paper is Tasty Treats Specialty DSP.

Always fun making something other than cards!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us again!
This afternoon I start my Light Therapy.
I'm really hoping it helps!
Fingers crossed!

Today I am sharing a card I made for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches!
They always have a great sketch each week so check them out & play along!

Here is the sketch and my samples....

I pulled out the Happiness Blooms DSP and chose 3 strips of paper that I mounted on to a piece of Call Me Clover cardstock.
I used the Bloom by Bloom stamp set for my flowers! This is the first it has seen ink.
The colors I chose for this card are Night of Navy, Call Me Clover & Pineapple Punch.

Card Details:

Stamps: Bloom by Bloom, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Call Me Clover, Whisper White, Happiness Blooms DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dot, Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Aren't those colors & papers pretty bold?
Nothing like a pop of color during these long winter months!

Let It Ride

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Another rainy day here again!

I will most likely head down to my stamp room and do some fun stamping for myself!

I have a card to share that I made yesterday for a very dear friend that I have known since Kindergarten. She moved away right before 5th grade if I remember correctly.
Fast forward to 2009 and she found me on Facebook and we've been friends on there ever since.

She loves dogs & horses!
She boards horses and takes care of them each & everyday!
Sadly, she lost her husband a few years ago and has been remarkable at healing her heart.
She has quite a few dogs that she dearly loves and that makes her world go round!
She also watches over her elderly mother and her mother's sick dog whom is going thru cancer treatments.
She is just a remarkable person especially for all she's been thru in life.
I made this card to send her in the hopes it will make her smile!
#makeacardsendacard

When I seen the Let It Ride stamp set in our Occasions Mini Catalog I knew I had to get it and make some cards for her. I even sent a catalog to her because she is VERY crafty and inquired about making some cards to sell at a local tack shop she worked at.
She's been SO busy with her crew of dogs, horses and taking care of the sick puppy that I know it's the last thing on her mind.
I wanted her to know someone was thinking of her and just how awesome she is!

Card Details:

Stamps: Let It Ride, Weathered Background Stamp (retired)
Ink: Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Corrugated Heart Elements, Linen Thread, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love how this one turned out!
What do you think?

Happy Tails

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday I took a blogging break to sit out in the nice warm sunshine we had!
We got up to around 63 degrees.
I threw on some shorts and sat out on my back porch for a bit and left the girls run around the yard.
Sunshine is good for Psoriasis and since I start my Light Therapy on Friday, I figured the sunshine will help, too! The sun was so warm and felt nice against my face & skin.
Today we have rain and any snow that is left will most likely be gone by the end of the week.

I did get a chance to play at my stamp table and made a card with the Happy Tails stamp set & matching punch. This is a very cute set for any dog lover!

The colors of my card are Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake.
It gives a summer feeling, doesn't it?

Card Details:

Stamps: Happy Tails
Ink: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana DSP
Accessories: Dog Builder Punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Pinewood Planks EF, Coastal Cabana Striped Ribbon, Silver Enamel Dot, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This set is loaded with lots of sentiments which is what drew me to it.
And you could always change out the color of the dog, too!
Lots of options!

Valentines Day Window Card

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
The sun is shining bright this morning and you can feel some warmth in the air!
The snow is melting nicely and the grass is starting to poke thru.
Of course, my girls love being outside with this warming trend & brilliant sunshine.
I love it too!

So, how many of you watched the Super Bowl?
I will say it was the most boring game I ever watched. Halftime show was just alright.
Once we knew who was going to win we headed to bed.
What did ya think of the commercials?
It seems they are not as good as they use to be.

Moving on from the Super Bowl.....
I have a super cool card to share today that we made on Saturday!
A Valentines Window Card....

It's a bit tricky to get a good picture of this kind of card because of the Window Sheet.
The ladies did really well with this one when it came time to put it together, I was proud of them! Deb & Emily have made the window card before back at Halloween so they helped the other 2 ladies. Here is a link to see it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Meant to Be
Ink: Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Window Sheet, All My Love DSP
Accessories: Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Flirty Flamingo Ribbon, Glue Dot, Clear Epoxy Hearts, Mini Dimensionals, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Very easy & fun to make a Window Card!
My ladies loved this card and said how cool it is to see thru to the inside!

Candy Bags for Valentines Day

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going great!

Yesterday was my Stamp Day w Friends!
I only had 4 ladies instead of 6.
We had such a good time and everyone wants to do it again!

Today I am sharing another project the ladies made.
I did not stamp anything, instead I showed and helped them.
.
These are SO easy!

The hardest part of this bag was the diecut fancy heart!
I had already diecut them out and before I ran the cardstock & die thru the Big Shot, I added an adhesive sheet so we would not have to worry about glueing it.
This fancy heart as you can see has lots of punch outs and those bits were challenging to get out but the ladies pushed thru!

Project Details:

Stamps: Forever Lovely (sentiment)
Ink: Lovely Lipstick
Cardstock: Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Thick Whisper White, All My Love DSP
Accessories: 3 x 6 Gusseted Cello Bags, Classic Label Punch, Be Mine Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Lovely Lipstick Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Mini Dimensionals, Sizzix Adhesive Sheets, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

We loaded those bags up with a Russell Stover Caramel Heart, Reese's PB Hearts, Hershey Kisses and Dove Milk Chocolates.
Definitely a sweet treat for Valentines Day!

Here are 2 pictures I took of the ladies after their treats were done....

My thoughts today...

That's all for me!
I'm going to take the day & relax with my hubby!
It's been a really busy week.

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

Stamp Day with my friends has come!
I'm so excited to stamp with all 6 of the ladies since it's been a really long time!
I'm nervous & excited at the same time!
Hope they like the projects I put together!

I am going to share the first card we are going to make today!
Take a look....

This cutie uses the Lift Me Up Bundle which is still current!
Under the Hot Air Balloon is a white layer that was embossed with the retired Cloudy Day EF which goes perfectly with this set!
My Love Impressions DSP is from 2011.
I was digging thru my stash and found this particular sheet and had enough for 8 cards!
My card was created around this sheet of paper!

Card Details:

Stamps: Lift Me Up
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Love Impressions DSP (retired)
Accessories: Up & Away Thinlits, Cloudy Day EF (retired), Pink Pirouette Enamel Hearts (retired), Smoky Slate Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm so loving this card and the colors of it!
I have everything cut & diecut ready for the ladies this morning.
I really hope they love this one, too!

My thoughts today......

I sure hope the rodent predicts an early spring!
Had enough cold & snow!

I know I am for several reasons!

Tomorrow is my Valentines Craft Day!
I am having 6 ladies join me to make 3 cards & a treat holder.

As with every Stamp Day w/ Friends,
I always create a gift bag for them to take their projects home in.
This time I had more to make so I keep them simple.
Let me know what you think?

My sentiment comes from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.
I love this saying and thought it was perfect!
