Happy Birthday Greetings

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today I have a card to share using an old stamp from 2003 called Happy Birthday Greetings.

This card is a little challenge between Mary Anne Kelemen & I.
I made a card recently with the retired Holiday Print background stamp from 2002 and she commented on it saying she had this Happy Birthday Greetings stamp so I challenged her to dust it off and make a card with it!

Here is my card....

First thing I did was ink up the entire image in Coastal Cabana and stamp on my Whisper White layer. Then I cleaned it off and inked up just the little section of words in Versamark and heat embossed it with Winter White Embossing Powder on a scrap of Coastal Cabana. I wanted that sentiment to stand out!

Card Details:

Stamps: Happy Birthday Greetings (retired), Birthday Cheer (retired)
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Versamark
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, How Sweet It Is DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits, Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My Melon Mambo card base was stamped with a confetti stamp from the recently retired Birthday Cheer set and I added a 1 1/2 inch strip of How Sweet It Is DSP . I wanted something with a pop of color and this particular print worked well for it!

I have enjoyed breathing new life into this old stamp.
I have so many older stamps that I hope I can bring to life again in the future!
I hope you liked this one!

Check out Mary Anne's blog at Lakeside Stamping!
I can't wait to see what she has created with her old stamp!

My thoughts today....

Today I am going to need a huge cup of coffee!
Been wide awake since 3 am when Bailee woke me to go potty.
Guess something was not agreeing with her.
I'm going to need a nap by noon time! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

That looks like a fun challenge you and Mary Anne participated in! I love the two completely different looks you both got with the same stamp! Loving all these festive colors you chose! Cool idea to challenge yourselves ;)
