Postcard Pals

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Phew, yesterday our weather was the worst!
We were changed from a Heat Advisory to an Excessive Heat Warning because it got so hot & humid. They were advising people to stay indoors and with AC if possible.
Today will be the same!
Tonight is Red Lion's Fireworks....not sure how that will go with it being extremely hot!
Today I am up early and got the oven going before it gets too bad.
I am making stuffed peppers for supper this evening and cooking off eggs for deviled eggs.
Shawn is going to make pasta salad later tonight for tomorrow and doing chicken on the grill and a brisket in the smoker!
Kelsey, Corey & Shady are coming over tomorrow for July 4th!
It'd be nice if the weather would be cooler or maybe some rain.

So, today I have a quick card for you made using the new Postcard Pals set.
It is from the new Stampin Up! Annual Catalog on page 49.
It was on my first order and this weekend it finally saw ink!

I am trying to build up my stash of "Kids Birthday" cards on my card rack and thought the critters in this set would be cute. I colored my image with the Stampin Blends and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It's layered onto a Bermuda Bay Square Layering Scallop Framelit. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay and the DSP is Coastal Cabana from the Brights Collection 6X6 Pad! So glad SU brought back Coastal Cabana!

Card Details:

Stamps: Postcard Pals
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Sparkle EF, Bermuda Bay Striped Ribbon, Coastal Cabana Glittered Enamel Dot, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Isn't that otter just the cutest?!
Such a fun set but it requires alot of coloring and thankfully we now have the Stampin Blends to make it easier!

My thoughts today.....

Definitely a great week for the beach!
Hazy, hot & humid....just not for me anymore!

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & make it a great day!
Stay cool, too!

This is just too darn cute! What a super sweet card! And yes, it is so hot. I hope this weather pattern breaks soon.

I love anything done in Bermuda Bay colors and this otter really is a cutie pie! I love the image, papers, the way you framed him and the great little kid's birthday card this turned out to be! Enjoy your family and the July 4th celebration!

That is one set I did not think you would purchase! Boy was I wrong! This is so stinkin cute, Wendy, I can't find the words. This would be awesome for any child's BD. Love the colors and all the cuteness.
