Stamp Day w Friends

Good  Morning & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is going well so far!
Can you believe that today is the last day of August?!

This morning 2 of my good friends are coming over to make some cards!
I try to get us together every month to catch up on life and stamp!
I was blessed to have these 2 as neighbors for 17 years and they have continued to be good friends even after our move away & back!

If your a follower of mine you know I create gift bags for them each time to take their projects home in. This also helps me to use up more supplies!

This month I pulled out an old pack of paper called Orchard Harvest.
If I remember correctly it was out in 2012 and the sad part is....I hardly used it!
I am making up for lost time by cutting it up!

Here in Pennsylvania we are in apple season so what better to use on my bags than apple paper!
My stamp set, Perfectly Preserved, which is also retired had a matching apple stamp in it that I added to my sentiment! The sentiment is current and is from the Free As A Bird stamp set.
All the ink pad colors in the paper are retired now.
Lucky Limeade, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Ripple.

Card Details:

Stamps: Free As A Bird (sentiment), Perfectly Preserved (retired)
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Orchard Harvest DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have been finding it most enjoyable pulling out the old stash and making things new again!
It's one less sheet of DSP that's in my stash, right?!
Only have 4 billion sheets left! LOL

Can't wait!
I'll share the projects we make starting tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Illuminated Christmas

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us again!
I'm having a rough start to the long holiday weekend after my hubby was at work until very late last night. It was well after midnight until our heads hit the pillow.
I hate days like that because they just throw me off schedule.
And then I was up shortly after 6 this morning which makes for a very long day!
No doubt i'll be asleep before 7 tonight!

Today I am going to make this post short & sweet.
I pulled out another retired stamp set and used some pretty old Basic Grey paper called Eskimo Kisses.

I was digging thru a bunch of Basic Grey papers and found these couple scraps and I made another pack of cards around the colors in the paper.

Card Details:

Stamps: Illuminated Christmas (retired), Christmas Pines (sentiment, retired)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Basic Grey- Eskimo Kisses
Accessories: Holly EF (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This pack is also very mail friendly!
Basic Grey has some really nice patterned papers!
I have several packs that I need to go thru and start using.
Is Basic Grey still around? Can't say I have seen any....

That's for sure!
I'm on my 2nd cup!
Hope the caffeine soon kicks in!

The Paper Players Challenge 456

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday was a muggy day until the rain came thru!
It got instantly cooler which is perfect for sleeping at night with the windows open!

I spent most of my day at my stamp table working ahead on a list of treats that I want to make for upcoming holidays. Earlier this year I stopped making them because my hands were hurting. I thought maybe I was getting the start of Psoriatic Arthritis but they are not swelling, just achy.
Going to give it another try and see how it goes. I'm trying to do alittle bit at a time and not stressing over doing it all at once.

I did work on another Halloween card using that adorable Candy Corn Die that my friend sent me.
I just wasn't ready to put it away and decided to use it for the Paper Players Challenge this week!

So much fun!

Card Details:

Stamps: A Halloween Hello (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP (retired)
Accessories: Candy Corn Die, Circle Layering Framelits, Tangerine Tango/White Rope, Tangerine Tango Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Forever Friends Baby Card

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Hump day is upon us as we ease our way into a long holiday weekend!
Today is to be a warm one with the humidity on the rise again.
I'm still hoping for an early Fall...

I have a busy day ahead with getting some laundry done and finishing up last minute things for my Stamp Day w Friends on Saturday!
My card today is one I made last month for a card order using a stamp from Forever Friends which I believe is from the United Kingdom. I purchased a bunch of their adorable bear stamps about 10 years ago and don't use them much anymore.

That baby bear is just so sweet!
I don't make baby cards too often so it was fun to pull out this cutie and color it.
I used my Stampin Blends to color it along with some different diecuts and the Basket Weave EF which always adds texture to a card!

Card Details:

Stamps: Forever Friends, Delightful Day (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends (Petal Pink & Crumb Cake)
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Whisper White, Petal Pink DSP (retired)
Accessories: Basket Weave EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Stitched Labels Framelits, Rhinestone, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really need to take a day and sit down to create more baby cards.
They are pretty scarce on my card rack....
It seems like as soon as I make them my customers needs some!

Looking forward to a long holiday weekend, too!

Today I have a cute card to share that I made for Halloween!
I used a die that a friend sent me and I couldn't wait to use it!

Isn't it cute?
I loved playing with it and it cut everything out so nicely!
I made up 12 of them and decided to put one on a card.

Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP (retired)

Heavenly Peace

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
The weather was absolutely beautiful, almost felt like a touch of Fall was in the air!
I have a feeling Fall will be early this year.....atleast I am hoping so!

Today I am sharing a set of Christmas cards that I made using old stuff from my stash.
I promised that I would continue sharing the old stuff!

This set uses stamps from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog from 2006 called Heavenly Peace. My paper is from a K&Company pack called Christmas Cheer.

As I was leafing thru this pack of 12 x 12 paper I found this particular sheet and I thought the colors reminded me of Pretty Peacock which is a 2019-2020 In Color.
As you can see it matched perfectly!
I love when that happens!

Card Details:

Stamps: Heavenly Peace (retired)
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, K&Company- Christmas Cheer
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Pretty Peacock Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Always fun to pull out the old things and give them a new look!
Hope you enjoyed seeing these!
There will be more to come!

A Mix of New & Old

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your enjoying your weekend!

Our Saturday was jam packed with things to do and we did go for a 6 mile bike ride late in the afternoon! Our weather was most beautiful and perfect for a quick ride!
Today we have a few things to do then i'm going to try my hand at stuffing banana peppers.
Shawn made them a few weeks ago and they were so good!

Today i've got a simple sympathy card to share.
My card rack is getting low in them so I need to replenish them.
I used a mix of new & old stamps for this one....

The flower panel is from a few weeks ago when I made my customer a pack of blank note cards. Somehow I ended up making an extra one.
The card base is Balmy Blue and I stamped that with the Birch Background Stamp in the same color ink. I put the flower panel on and added my sentiment from Close As A Memory in Soft Suede ink. Added some rhinestones and called this one done....

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Friendship, Birch Background, Close As A Memory (retired)
Ink: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Later today I am going to try to spend some time in my stamp room doing some reorganizing.
I have been working on Halloween treats this past week and my entire room is a mess.
I also have lots of cards that need to be added to my card rack.
Yep, gonna be another busy day and i'm tired just thinking about it! LOL

Yesterday we had rain most of the day which was fine by me!
It was cool and really nice that we could finally turn the AC off and enjoy the breeze blowing in the windows.
I spent most of the day finishing up some Halloween Treats then I moved on to checking out the Tuesday Morning Sketches!
I had to play along!

Here is the sketch and my card....

A fun sketch that I wanted to use to make a Halloween card!
I used an old set from 2004 called Carved & Candlelit.

I decorated the inside with another cute pumpkin!

Endless Wishes

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

It's raining out at the moment but it's so much cooler than it has been in days!
Finally able to turn off the AC and give it a break for a few days!
It also reminds me that Fall is not far off!

I'm way late updating this morning as I was up late last night.
Shawn stayed up a bit past half time for the football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles. At the start of the 4th quarter the skies opened up and it stormed like crazy.
They called the game after about 25 minutes and the Ravens had the lead with 26-15.
Trace McSorley was the QB for the Ravens and he absolutely killed it!
If anyone is familiar with Penn State football....he played college ball there.
I really truly hope Baltimore keeps on him the 53 man roster after next weeks game.
He is quite impressive to watch!

Anyways, as I said, it's a rainy morning here.
I slept in and now it's time to share a pretty set of Christmas cards with you!
I made this set last week after going thru some older stuff.
I feel so accomplished this year moving ahead with upcoming holidays and using up what I have!

Endless Wishes is the stamp set I used here.
It was available in 2014.
It's loaded with many different words so you can create your own sentiments!
The snowflakes in this set are pretty too!
The Nordic Noel DSP on these cards is also from 2014.

Card Details:

Stamps: Endless Wishes (retired)
Ink: Soft Sky (retired), Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Soft Sky (retired), Whisper White, Nordic Noel DSP (retired)
Circle Layering Framelits, Red Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

For the panel with all the different scraps of DSP on, I used a scrap piece of cardstock that measured 2 3/4 X 4 1/2. I took 3/4 inch strips and adhered them to the cardstock. Once I filled it up I trimmed the DSP so it was even all the way around and glued it to my Soft Sky layer.
Easy peasy and a great way to use up snippets & scraps!
This set of cards is also very mail friendly!
Nothing is popped up!

Happy Halloween

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's football day here at the Aungst Pad!
Our Baltimore Ravens are playing the Philadelphia Eagles this evening in their 3rd preseason game.
It's sure to be a good game as long as we can keep our eyes open!
Hubby had lots of work calls late last night and last time I looked at the clock it was 11:30 and we were up at early this morning. Hopefully we will make it to half time!

Yesterday afternoon I played at my stamp table.
I was struggling after not stamping for a few days but I did manage to crank out a Halloween card from scraps in my stash.

I'm not real fond of the Bermuda Bay for a Halloween card but this one turned out pretty cute!
I only have scraps of the piece of paper with the Halloween characters on.
The paper comes from a retired pack called Motley Monsters and I only have 1 full sheet of it left and a bunch of scraps. I hope to use the rest up this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Paper Pumpkin Halloween Sentiment (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Motley Monsters DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Lattice EF (retired), Mini Paper Clip (retired), Crushed Curry Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Basic Black Twine (retired), Crushed Curry Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Peaceful Place Anniversary Card

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your all doing well!
I took a bit of a blogging break the last few days.
Nothing has been sparking a creative fire in me so I thought i'd just walk away a bit.
My hubby did have an entire weekend home without no calls or trips to work!

Today I have a card to share that was made with the Peaceful Place stamp set.
My customer needed a card for friends upcoming 50th wedding anniversary.
Her friends met a park with lots of trees and fencing that surrounded them.
I paired the Peaceful Place stamp set with a Martha Stewart Border Punch.

Without seeing what the Anniversary Party Invite looked like I was kinda clueless and just took a stab at it. My customer really liked the card!
The sentiment was printed out on the computer. She seems to always like these kind of cards personalized.
I tried my best to keep this on the low to no embellishment side since I had no inkling of what the invite looked like. I only added some Linen Thread and a Gold Metallic Enamel Heart to the sentiment and called it done.
The fencing was done with some Wood Textured DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: Peaceful Place
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Whisper White, Wood Textured DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shaped Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Linen Thread, Gold Metallic Enamel Heart, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today I will be working at my stamp table on some Halloween goodies!
I said I was gonna make a few treats this year and try to use up what boxes & bags I have left in my stash. What's even better is that I am using what I already own!
Nothing new has been bought....other than candy!
Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks!

Happy Happy Halloween

Good Morning & Happy Friday!

I'm hoping for a good day and a great weekend ahead!

The other day I was playing around with my Halloween stuff and I pulled out old stuff as I was trying to work ahead and create kits for my Stamp Day w Friends.
I have bits & pieces in a zippy bag that were left over from other projects in the past.
I found 2 tags already stamped and ready to go and this is what I made with them....

My card is a fun fold and I used some scraps of the retired Happy Hauntings DSP from 2015.
Most of my paper packs have only snippets left and my goal is to use this stuff up!
Isn't that ghost paper cute? I sure wish I had more of it left!
The tag sentiment comes from the retired Sweet Hauntings set which was also out in 2015 and it also has the coordinating Note Tag Punch.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweet Hauntings (retired), A Wish For Everything (inside sentiment)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Happy Hauntings DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Note Tag Punch (retired), Unknown Spider Web Diecut, Black Rhinestones, Black Glittered Ribbon, Halloween Night Twine (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Do you like the inside saying?
It comes from a set that kinda jumped out at me in the Stampin Up Annual Catalog on page 17.
It's loaded with nice inside sayings and stamps beautifully!

I agree!

That's all for now!
